• Sharron (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay at the Oasis Apartments very much. It was in a great location close to good restaurants and the beach, with helpful and friendly staff. It was the perfect apartment with the kitchen to have drinks and breakfast items on hand so it made getting ready for the day in the morning easy. The pool was also nice to have for a late afternoon dip to cool off before heading out for dinner.

• 82EmmaJ (10/5): So perfect that we extended our stay - Just returned from Oasis Beach. We enjoyed it there so much that we couldn't bear to come home, and extended our stay: We had a one bedroom apartment - B1B. Couldn't fault it. Perfect. Spacious, clean, and with absolutely everything we needed. 2 balconies, one from the kitchen with early morning sun, and one from the lounge and bedroom with sun from 11am till sunset. Sun loungers, cushions, table and chairs. Lovely kitchen fully equipped with everything we needed. Full sized fridge freezer. Good quality pots and pans, crockery and utensils. (There isn't an oven. That might've been helpful as we don't use a microwave.) It was wonderful to have a bath tub. There wasn't a plug when we arrived, but the helpful girls on reception said they would look for one that day, and if there wasn't one, they would go and buy one for us. Note that the one bedroom apartments are on the first floor. Studios are on the ground floor where the smaller balconies don't get any sun. Jessica and the other ladies on reception were so helpful. Knowledgeable about the local area and more than happy to help us arrange a day out with a driver. We were even brought a gift of local pastries and a bottle of port. Towels were changed every other day, sheets once during our 12 day stay, which was fine for us. Free safe in room, just ask at reception for the key. The location is perfect. Peaceful. Only 3-4 minutes' walk to the beach, cafes, bars and restaraunts and the centre of Luz. The swimming pool is fairly small, but clean, and wasn't busy. The lawn area around is partly shaded during the day. The beach is beautiful. Clean, and not overcrowded at this time of year. Sea was pretty cold and some quite big waves. Lots of lifeguards, which was good to see. Sun loungers cost 20 euros a day, or 14 euros after 2pm. You can take your own food and drinks to the beach, or buy from the nearby bar or kiosk. Plenty of food options in Luz, and all of very good quality, except for one. I would avoid Atlantico. The staff were very rude. My chicken was rubbery and not of good quality. Wasn't even warm. Nobody asked if it was OK. When it came to paying the bill, I wanted to pay less. That wasn't an option. The chef came out, poked my chicken with a fork, said it was fine, and then threatened to call the police unless we paid in full. Appalling. Everywhere else we ate was exceptionally good. The Forteleza has a beautiful garden overlooking the sea and has Sunday afternoon live band and jazz sessions. Great vibe. Well worth making time for. Very quiet in Luz in the evenings. Everywhere closed by 9.30 - 10pm. Need to eat by around 8.30 at the latest. 2 well stocked supermarkets within 5 minutes' walk. Baptista will deliver your groceries to the apartment gates free of charge. Just do your shopping as normal, pay at the checkout and then leave in your basket. Arrange at the till for them to deliver. Ours arrived within half an hour. The bus service into Lagos is reliable, cheap and convenient. Every half an hour, except at weekends. Takes 20 minutes or so. Lots of boat trips available from the marina there. The old town is lovely to wander around, with interesting shops and handicrafts and lots of shaded little squares for food and drinks. Luz is not a cheap holiday destination. Expect to pay more for food/drinks etc than in similar resorts in say Greece, or Spain. All in all, a perfect holiday, and we will be returning to Oasis Beach. Five stars. Thank you <3
• Hans-Gerd (8/5): es war ein super erholsamer Aufenthalt - Einfache Unterkunft, nettes Personal, kleines Schwimmbecken, Strandnähe, ruhige Lage, schöne Unterkunft. Uns hat es gefallen. Wir waren zufrieden. Kleine Mängel, über die wir ohne Probleme hinwegsehen konnten.

The area of Luz is beautiful with plenty to do and great restaurants. The beach is beautiful and with lovely cafes along the front ,think we tried them all! If you're walking up the big hill on the coastal walk to the viewing point wear walking shoes/trainers ,I didn't and fell on the way down! All in all a great stay for the price .

• George (8/5): Good sized, comfortable, well equipped apartment ideal for my purposes. - A good value, large size comfortable apartment with good kitchen facilities conveniently located for the beach and other tourist facilities. Convenient access to main traffic routes. Good base for bird watching or other tourist activities. It has a a relatively small swimming pool, but as the main beach was nearby, it is not too important. Great care often has to be taken when exiting the parking area to prevent hitting other cars parked on the other side of the road opposite. View from balcony faces other apartments.

• Janine (10/5): Paraiso - Siamo rimasti davvero colpiti da questo posto! L’alloggio era perfettamente pulito, in una posizione comoda e tranquilla, immerso in un piacevole contesto residenziale. Era tutto pulito e venivano a pulire ogni giorno. La vista era splendida e il parcheggio proprio davanti è stato un plus non da poco. Ci è piaciuto così tanto che abbiamo deciso di prolungare il soggiorno di un’intera settimana! Le ragazze alla reception sono state eccezionali: gentilissime, sempre sorridenti e disponibili. All’arrivo ci hanno spiegato tutto nei minimi dettagli e ci hanno anche dato ottimi consigli su dove mangiare piatti tipici e cosa visitare in base alle nostre preferenze. Tutto è curato con grande attenzione, non mancava davvero nulla. Un luogo accogliente, comodo e tranquillo dove ci siamo sentiti subito a casa. Lo consigliamo assolutamente! Nulla.

Plenty of loungers. The communication ahead of our stay was great. Carina was so helpful throughout our stay and gave us lots of good tips of where to eat and visit. Luz is a lovely resort and we really enjoyed our stay at Oasis Beach apartments Don't expect luxury....you wouldn't for the price! But a very comfortable and spacious apartment made for a very enjoyable break

Het is een klein dorpje en niet zo'n enorme toeristenstad als bv Lagos. Personeel is vriendelijk Appartement is wel wat gehorig. Je hoort wat stoelen schuiven van de buren en wat schreeuwende kinderen en ouders ( maar dan de host niets aan doen).

• Olivia (6/5): Good location but I wouldn’t recommend for the price - The beds are comfortable, the rooms clean and the location is great. The reception staff are friendly and a taxi to Lagos is about €6-9 The rooms are a bit dated and the wifi is exceptionally poor. The doors only have one lock on them, no chain or additional bolt inside, the apartment can be accessed by anyone from the street so it felt a bit unsecured. The toilets beside the pool as shown in the picture are in a terrible state, the door doesn’t even close never mind lock. The complex is just apartments, no bar etc. the whole place is very quiet, not much life about it at all. I paid £130 a night and felt this was well overpriced unfortunately.
• Kelly (7/5): - We had a problem with mold and mildew in the mattress in our room upon arrival. I am extremely allergic and the receptionist promptly changed our room and upgraded us to a better category of room. Our new room was bigger, bright, and immaculately clean. If you are staying at this property I would recommend you upgrade to the rooms on the second floor which are more spacious and bright. We especially appreciated having the balcony space to have dinner. The reception has limited hours and when we arrived it was after the reception was closed. So when we retrieved the keys to the room, and discovered that our room was moldly and mildewy there was no one to talk to about it until the next morning. As it was the beginning of the season, I'm sure that it was a result of the rooms being closed up during winter. Nonetheless, our room was not in any state for a guest to stay there.
• Magdalena (9/5): Nice stay - The apartment is in a great location – just a short walk from the beach, the promenade, and the main town square. It’s also very peaceful and quiet, which made it easy to relax. The beds were comfortable, and we slept really well. Easy accessible pool was great The only thing that could be improved is the kitchen equipment. While everything essential was there, it would be nice to have a few more utensils available, and some of the existing ones were quite worn out. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would consider coming back!

• Nadire (7/5): - Struttura a 3 min dal mare, posizione perfetta, staff molto gentile. In generale molto datata come struttura. L’interno degli appartamenti da risistemare, in particolare serramenti, bagno (puzza di tubature costante e porta rotta) e condizionatore molto vecchio e poco funzionante. All’esterno c’è la piscina carina ma le docce non del tutto funzionanti e sporche. Nel complesso non male ma sarebbe meglio un po’ di manutenzione.

Recepción debería estar mejor indicada a fuera, pero rápidamente te explican por teléfono dónde está oficina, la chica es muy amable .

The room was very basic, The facilities are quite old, the Ac was noisy. The kitchen is small and we had cockroaches there twice. All the rooms face a common “street” which can be very friendly but also noisy and with no privacy.

• Croes (8/5): Zalige locatie als je op zoek bent naar een rustig verblijf wat toch dicht bij zee ligt. - De ligging was prima, dicht bij zee zoals we wilden. Accomodatie was zoals verwacht, proper, rustig, ook aan het zwembad was het nooit echt druk ondanks de periode (eind juli/begin augustus).

• catharina (10/5): Underbar vistelse - Lugn och behaglig miljö. Fantastisk pool, och stranden samt restauranger runt knuten. Ett fantastiskt boende! Skönt att kunna göra frukost hemma innan äventyr längs Algarve kusten. Saknade ugn och spisen är till för enklare måltider. Hade önskat att det fanns en ugn samt bättre stekpannor.
• tomcE5092EP (8/5): Nice stay - A really nice place in a nice quiet area of luz in a short walk to the beach and all amenities only downfall the rooms are a little tired and in need of some TLC but we will be visiting again because of the location and pleasant surroundings pool very clean and cleaning ladies do a great job
