Mark (10/5): Beautiful, quiet getaway stay. - The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location on the lake was very beautiful and our room was very nice as well. The breakfast the next morning was very nice with lots of choices and a great view of the lake. Parking was right out front of the lobby and they had lots of carts to move luggage to the room. They have a nice pool area, but we did not use it this visit. We had to clean our A/C filters when we checked in to our room as they were dusty, and we both have bad allergies. We did inform the front desk staff and they apologized and said they would let the maintenance staff know.
Bickford (1/5): Charged more than double in the end!!! - They lost my reservation that I prepaid for on this SITE!.. They charged me an additional 50 dollars to re-book me and said that would be refunded at check out. Instead I was charged an additional 157 dollars. So I was charged more than double. I am very upset and dissatisfied! Being told “to bad. You’ll have to wait” for my money to be refunded.

Staff was friendly. - It was a nice location, clean, plenty of space The unit hadn’t been used in quite some time so the water smelled like sewage. they did didn’t come until late afternoon the next day to drain the pipes. Maintenance only came because I stopped at the front desk later in the afternoon. maintenance did not get the message, so there was definitely a breakdown in communication. Also, the refrigerator did not work. They did come promptly after we lost all the food in it to replace it with a new one.. there was not a lot of food in it about $25 worth that we lost. When we first arrived, it was dark and not well lit at all. The stairs were slippery. I felt that they should’ve left a light on because it was so dark..

Abeling (8/5): Good choice, management should just adjust some of the items I described (all an easy fix) - Staff are very friendly (including at the restaurant). The location is good It's a calm and relaxing ambient Quiet Minor details that could be changed. The hotel overall is a solid 8, but it could be 9,5 or even 10 if some details could be fixed: - The bathroom had two hairs on my sink (this is difficult to accept - it's a pure visual fix. Black hair over a white sink that was very easy to spot - and they were not removed the next day (after housekeeping cleaned my room) - Some towels were a bit overused. - The air conditioner would not be so loud (it would be nice if we had the possibility of adjusting the air speed) - The room lacks an armchair (there are two chairs and a table that are tucked in the corner, making it tight to sit) - My room faced the parking lot, and light illuminated the room at night (even with both curtains closed) - I had to turn the fridge off during the night because it made a loud noise (like a rolling stone) when the compressor turned off (most probably the rubber shock absorbers are worn out)

We could hear the upstairs guest's and our neighbor's every move. I'm not sure what could have been done since it's most likely because there is not enough sound dampening in the walls, ceiling and floors.

Jason (5/5): Wouldn't accommodate needs - The staff was friendly, the pool area was nice and it was very clean. The breakfast was great as well! We booked a lake view room and got a "garden room" which was the parking lot. I asked the front desk if we could switch or cancel. She said I would forfeit the full payment whether I stayed or not. I asked if we could do an upcharge for the right room and She told me it would cost more than the hotel would even charge for the room. Apparently there was no way to pay the difference, on the booking.com app it was like $30 more. I had left a message for the Inn and stated that this was a very special stay for my daughter and myself and if they could do anything to make her stay better it would be appreciated. They gave her a bear, which was nice but she picked The lake view and we couldn't even upgrade("garden view" which is the parking lot absolutely no "garden" not one flower. The restaurant service and food was very poor. I do NOT recommend it to anyone.

Potu (8/5): Very good - Would we stay again? Yes, Absolutely! This is a reasonably priced "Desirination" location. A must visit to experience each lovely season in the area. Our trip was an overnight stay due to an emergency at home requiring us to be away. Our visit was off-season. Some suggestions for improvements The main doors need to have an automatic option if you're not going to have door-persons. As an older couple, it was challenging to maneuver the double set of doors. ADA guests will require assistance to navigate. Our room was excellent. However, there was a lack of electrical outlet availability. Not uncommon. I carry an outlet adapter and extension cord as we have CPAPS, Smartphones, etc. My suggestion would be to extend existing outlets with discrete baseboard level surface mount extenders. Anyone staying with business / remote work needs will be challenged. Notable, besides the lovely vibe, great staff, and fireplaces (truly a lovely place) some outstanding Notables: The beds, sheets, and pillows made for a cozy and wonderful nights sleep. Seriously outstanding! The pool & hottub area - we loved the fact it wasn't overwhelming with chlorine chemical smells like so many places! It was truly noteworthy! In my opinion, salt water hottubs and pools are the best. Dining is experiential with a night out luxury setting. Pricing was moderate, perhaps high for the local community. However, the menu, service, setting, and quality totally justify the indulgence. Pride in quality, menu options , presentation, and experience are noteworthy. A great Date Night Lovation when you want to experience something 'special' without breaking the bank or traveling to a big city. We truly enjoyed our entire stay, and would recommend this destination. We look forward to visiting again and experiencing the different seasons. I referred to this as yet another hidden treasure in this lovely area. - POTU David

While the fireplace and jacuzzi tub is a great amenity, be aware they are both loud when using jets and you can’t hear the person in the bath with you when they speak. The shower also spills a lot of water when opening/closing.

I didn’t realize how beautiful the area was until I woke up the next morning and could see it in the daylight. Definitely a beautiful setting that must become very busy with families and other vacationers in the summer months. The hotel was very quiet, almost to the point that I thought I was the only person there, kind of like The Shining. But the room was definitely very clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. I didn’t get a chance to try out the restaurant or room service. On the downside, the water supply hasn’t been softened, so it must be from a well, or the lake. It was very difficult getting soap off your hands and body. Also, there wasn’t a handheld shower option, and only the one coming out of the wall above eye level.

I randomly found it on Expedia; we really didn’t want to stop & stay at an interstate chain hotel with 2 energetic boys. This place was perfect for us with the beautiful pool, the marina piers to fish from, and the gorgeous grounds surrounding the Inn. On-site dinner at the restaurant was perfect as we sat outside overlooking Gun Lake. Price was very reasonable. Staff was very polite, and our room was perfect. Highly recommend!!! 👍
