The front desk staff, especially Rochelle and the other lady working with her, were always available, helpful, and incredibly kind. Rochelle is especially easy to communicate with—very friendly and professional, which really made a difference during my stays. The guest house is clean, cozy, and well-maintained. It has a calm, welcoming atmosphere that made me feel at home. The location is convenient, and everything I needed was either provided or easily accessible. Because of the excellent service and overall experience, I didn’t hesitate to return for a second stay—and I’d gladly come back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable place to stay!
- Marie (2/5): - I did not stay here! It didn’t feel safe at all and I was traveling solo. Within a few hours, I left and went to another hotel where I was happy and completely content! You literally have to get transportation to get around and buy food because there’s nothing close by. I would not recommend.
- Aneita (8/5): - Wonderful quiet place with a feel of Jamaica country living. I enjoyed the property, the only fault was the massive hill we had to walk to get food or anything. I will be staying again, have to rent a car or have a driver.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice! - I chose this guest house instead if all inclusive, because I wanted to spend money for the activities rather than the luxurious hotels. Actually it was the right decision. The staff was very friendly and the location was convenient, just a walking distance from the Hip Strip. The only issue was that there was no hot water on the shower.

The place was convenient from the airport, super clean room, good a/c & bed & had a very relaxing and clean pool & deck area with just a little view of Montego Bay. Definitely a great stay except be aware it sits on a steep hill so walking down or up from the main road - especially at night isn't for the faint of heart or stamina! LOL!!

Room had frig which was nice but saw a big roach and checked out early. Area gates are locked from inside with a padlock and freaked me out until I realized I had a key to it. Staff was nice, and grounds were nice. Room was ok for the price .
- dearron (4/5): need somewhere short, and close to airport - The hotel photos didn't look like the same, the hotel is actually very small and run down. The front desk is all it really is a desk, the security isn't the best. The room was a decent size, the bathroom was very small and awkward, to the point the sink was behind the door. The room did have a/c that was plus, but then the circuit kept tripping so the a/c shut off. Then the television channels re not what we expected, and was too nervous to search for channels due to everything looking like it cost. The location of this hotel was great. The view was fabulous. You can see the airport and the ocean from a small walk. The staff was ok, not too friendly but just enough to do their job.

You have to unlock padlocks on gates just to get to your room which is annoying, but standard in Jamaica if you're not in a resort. They take a key deposit, and it looked like someone might be living in at least one of the rooms. The place would be perfect if the price was a little lower, and properly matched the value you are getting.

- Laura (8/5): - Miss Dorris is VERY NICE…We arrived while storming and she did not want us to have to walk in the rain and she helped with an umbrella but we were ok 👍 The room is very secure but be prepared for with your own food or beverages. DO NOT TAKE A TAXI FROM THE AIRPORT. Call Amstar and you will be safe ❤️ The TAXI ripped is off. If your phone doesn’t work in the airport go to information first! Don’t go to the taxi podium! ❤️ Again miss Dorris is very sweet and her place is VERY safe!

It was nice to be close to the airport for our departure.

I just wish the rooftop patio was accessible as it is shown in the pictures. Proximity to the airport and Sunset beach is a plus.

- Andre (2/5): - There was nothing i like about the property the receptionist was not friendly ask her what her nane was she refuse to tell us, the bathroom and toilet bowl has mold, the kitchen sink was dirty the fan in the living room didn't work the maids clean the room and did sweep or mop it the fridge was rusty and dirty there was a kettle in the kitchen, it was very dirty i had to buy one to use, the face basin in the bathroom had mold too, i would not recommend anyone to stay there the bed was so uncomfortable it give me pain in my back, i took pictures to back up just incase.

- Pearl (6/5): Ok stay - The property is beautiful and lovely view. The suite was pretty large and staff was friendly. Excellent breakfast and communication. Water was warm. Refridgerator needs to change. A new one needs to ne put in the suite. Has rust and leaking water. More lighting in the living area. The bed was too hard for me. Maybe some people like a hard bed but i cant do hard beds. By the last night of my stay, i wouldnt have been able to spend another night. My back was hurting me. But i didn't ask for a matress topper. Maybe if i had asked they prob would have provided it. They would need a soft mattress topper incase someone cannot sleep on a hard matress. They also need bigger pillows. Those little pillows looks like travel pillows. The ones online looks bigger than what i actually got. The pictures of the suite i was in, looks alot better online than in person. I will say that my stay was average, 7 out of 10.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Staff is AMAZING, and that’s the only good part - The staff here is absolutely amazing. Every last one of them are wonderful. Alas that’s the only positive about the place. Shower knob didn’t work, Wi-Fi only works outside the room, mold in the shower window as you can see in the pic, the breakfast they offer is actually a restaurant that’s down a hill from them and isn’t on site so you have to go down there to get it . The views in the pics are from the rooms on the top floor only. The place is in dire need of updating as it’s very dark in there. I feel bad for the employees in there because they are truly amazing people that deserve better than the place itself.

- Robert (8/5): Love MBJ - I stayed here in February two days the staff they had were very friendly even thou the property is not the best then were so pleasant I was looking forward to this trip when I got there these are new people they were not welcoming at all I am someone who never stay at any hotel or guest house and leave without leaving a tip but this time I could not bring my self to tipping them secondly my room was adjacent to the kitchen with a window and they were frying fish that was all the room smell off the entire night.This place is close to the airport so I like staying there it just need a bit of make over and staff that know how to represent there job well

There were alot of mosquitoes in my room i was bitten all over, tje the humongous roaches in the shower and bathroom area was a big turn-off for me and the AC dripping on our bed was it for me.

The lights were dim, floors were old, the cabinets old, the furniture old and I think that’s what made it so stuffy and dusty along with the lights being so dim. I didn’t sleep all night I just wanted morning to come as soon as possible to get out. It didn’t feel like vacation being there and the owner stays on the premises and that says a lot all by itself. All that being said, the pool was very nice although the ladder to get out of the deep end is missing a step.
