Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): - Great service in the bar, good Irish staff bought their humour, common sense & great attention to detail!
- Russel (10/5): - Liked the big room and the balcony, the meal at the restaurant was also very good
- Craig (8/5): - The perfect place to stay to do Litchfied properly. Great food & bar area and the food was excellent.
- Stephen (10/5): - Close to National Park
- Lisa (10/5): - The property was lovely, staff very friendly, rooms were clean and nice, could possibly put a toaster in room as there is nothing else in Batchelor so you have to eat at their restaurant each night which was ok but it starts to get expensive if you have to have breakfast as well. Food and drinks were great as well.
- Michael (10/5): - Room 3 was beautifully decorated, modern, clean and comfortable
The food at the bistro was delicious
- Adrianne (10/5): - It is a great place to stay at with both children and grandparents. The swimming pool is awesome.
- Annalisa (6/5): - Dinner service took 1 hour
- Paul (8/5): - Property and staff were all good
- Gary (10/5): Litchfield’s Best Choice. - Quite an oasis in remote Batchelor. Rooms were very clean, nice new bathrooms, plenty of space. Even a very appealing pool to use.
Great location close to Litchfield NP. Staff were lovely but felt they were still in training….lots of little errors.
Breakfast and dinner meals were fine and well priced.
Wifi was dreadfully slow….use your hotspot instead.
- Louise (8/5): - This oasis has everything- comfortable beds, air con that works, grèat shower, pool and food and drink and fuel. Staff were friendly and accommodating and service was timely. Alcohol and shop had a good choice of items but the best thing was the mango iceblocks made by the local school for $6. We stocked up on those for our trip. They have a range of accommodation to suit all travellers. It is located at the southern end of Litchfield National Park which made a welcome overnight stop after seeing the sites. PS watch your speed as the police were very vigilent in the area.
- Sharon (6/5): - Great property but needs some TLC. It has clearly been refurbished in recent years but lack of good regular maintenence of the shower area really let the property down. Also suggest housekeeping do a better job of vacuuming cobwebs in the bathroom. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the room was the over powering smell of chlorine from the pool. I understand pools need chlorine, but they don't need to be over dosed with it (we have one at home so know all about monitoring chlorine levels). The restaurant was good - nice meals, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great having fuel, beer/wine and superette supplies available as part of the resort. Pool area was very nice although as already mentioned, far too much chlorine. The grass area beside the pool could do with some more care and attention, especially since the rooms overlook this area. The area outside the conference room also could do with a good clean and tidy up. Good comfortable bed, bathroom facilities good (except maintenance needs some attention). Great location for day trips into Litchfield National Park which had some great falls and swimming holes - highly recommend.
This is a good property to stay at but a bit more effort and attention to detail from the owners would make it a really great property.
- Nichole (6/5): - Need more light outsude area to laundry and in room in wrong spot due TV
Al need have sitting for subtitles.
Key slide doors hard to lock and unlock.
Also need have two have card bit not key
- Lisa (10/5): - We really enjoy our stay here. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was nice, and there were plenty of food and drink options at the restaurant. The team were very helpful with information regarding the Litchfield Park too! Thank you.
- Rochelle (8/5): - Friendly staff, good meals, nice pool, spacious room although a bit dated
- David (8/5): - Ok for shortstay. Location is main attraction.
- julie (6/5): - Already paid premium price for the Easter break, only to be told that we couldn’t have a drink in the bar unless we purchased a meal!!!
Also bottleO, was not open on Good Friday, fair enough, but I asked for a bottle of wine to take to the room, so they asked the managers and the staff Proceeded to get a bottle out from the BottleO only to be charged triple the price!
- Linnea (6/5): - Worked fine for one night and our visit to Litchfield park. Could use some updating. Nice to have a restaurant there
- Janice (10/5): Best place in NT - This is a beautiful property. Nice warm pool wonderful garden, maintained very well. All staff were polite and helpful.
- Tracey-Lee (8/5): - Easy access to Litchfield waterfalls and swimming.
- KIM (10/5): - This is great accommodation. Reasonably priced, modern recently renovated rooms. Excellent outback atmosphere with modern atmosphere. By far the best thing about our stay was the incredibly friendly staff from reception to restaurant and bar staff. The pool was also such a bonus. I highly recommend.
- Gareth (10/5): - Arrived early, was able to check in 2 hours early. Very friendly
- Mario (6/5): - Ok for 1 night to visit Litchfield park attractions eg falls and hikes.
The unit was ok but we went in the wet season when most rooms were free and it was still very expensive for what we got, as there are not many options close to Litchfield park.
Another option we will consider next time is to stay in Darwin longer and leave early for Litchfield park.
Note: the pool was nice.
- Nicole (8/5): - Easy access to Litchfield NP and associated walks and swim areas.
- Peter (10/5): - Great place to relax and spoil yourself after a day exploring Litchfield Park
- Jonathan (8/5): - All was good close to the park
- Craig (10/5): - Great
- Li (8/5): - The door opening and closing make noise. A guy said will come to fix . But he didn’t.
- David (8/5): - Excellent service, arrived late and staff asked if we wanted a meal even though the kitchen was closed.
- Sam (8/5): - Pool
- Taane (10/5): - Rooms were modern well thought out - pool was great.
- ALISTAIR (10/5): - Staff were incredibly helpful about the area and what to see. Great place to stay.
- Linda (10/5): - The staff service was excellent from check-in. The meals were delicious & generous serving. The rooms were clean & spacious around the pool. Great location. Highly recommend.
- Stacey (10/5): - We stayed in the executive suite and it was beautiful. Staff were amazing with great knowledge of the area.
- Tony (10/5): - Nice rooms appeared recently renovated with balcony overlooking the pool which my wife loved.
- Patricia (10/5): A great location for adventuring in Litchfield - Very happy with our stay. On arrival the chappy was very friendly and gave us lots of good information and suggestions for our drive around Litchfield. The room was large and comfortable with lovely wide opening doors to the balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom was modernised and the bed very comfortable. Except for the pillows, we struggled to get a comfortable one.
- Chloe (10/5): - Staff were very friendly and resourceful
- Robyn (10/5): - Really enjoyed our one night stay in this property in a king room. Very clean, comfortable bed and good aircon. The pool was lovely and most welcome in the hot weather. Plenty of lounges and shade. We ate dinner and breakfast at the onsite restaurant - a good choice of food and reasonably priced for the remote location.
- Debra (8/5): - Fantastic restaurant
- Larry (10/5): - Love the free air flow design in the bar and alfresco area. Need extraction fan in bathroom. Lovely place food and drink service great
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Lovely renovated spacious well appointed room. Oasis like environment. Additionally the Lil Ripper Cafe & Bar attached to the venue provides excellent meals & drinks & a great atmosphere made up of locals & tourists. Staff are wonderful. Well done team !!! 🙏🙏🙏
- Sarah (6/5): - This was a comfortable spot to rest during a few days exploring Litchfield National Park. You will need to bring everything you need with you; the motel only supplies tea and coffee facilities in the room, with a couple of cups and glasses. The fridge next to the bed was a sleep killer, and the noise from the room upstairs was pretty loud. It was great to be able to jump in the pool after a day's walking.
- Peter (10/5): - Really helpful owners and staff. Restaurant catered for the dietary needs of a coeliac.
- Fiona (8/5): - Clean, large rooms for families, restaurant on site
- Samantha (8/5): - Love the space of the room. Good food and nice people.
- Karen (6/5): - The rooms were basic but very clean. Bathroom was modern and clean. Staff very helpful and nice. Restaurant was good.
- Maree (10/5): - We stayed on the way to Katherine, it was so good that we stayed there on the way back
- Brigid (10/5): - Love the Palm Spring vibe in the room and pool.
- duncan (10/5): - Enjoyable place to stay good hospitality.
Only thing I would say is the restaurant could open earlier in the morning for Breakfast
- David (8/5): - Wonderful location just outside Lichfield National Park and in the town of Batchelor. Room was adequate with lovely view of pool area. Tranquil.
- shirli (10/5): - havent been here for years so was very impressed with upgrades .. food fabulous - service exceptional .. will be back for sure
- Kate (8/5): - Great resort with plenty of amenities on site (restaurant, cafe, bottle shop, pokies). We stayed in an updated room which felt so spacious, modern and clean. Only downfall was a group of noisy school kids who occupied the floor above us and didn't quiet down until 10pm.
- Joy (8/5): - .
- Elizabeth (8/5): - We liked our room and its position overlooking the pool area. There should have been Tissues provided and moisturiser for the amount we paid.
We had unforeseen noisy company above our room late at night ( a student body were 'camped' there ) and my husband had to speak to both them and their teachers nearby before they finally settled at midnight. This took some of the shine off our little overnight stay, but everything else was great!! Food excellent, parking outside our door, convenient to the park we wanted to visit, friendly and safe.
- Karen (8/5): - Ground floor rooms Executive King are lovely.
Staff all really pleasant, check in easy.
Food at restaurant good only problem was breakfast no light options.
Pool area disappointing needs a makeover.
- Natalie (8/5): - The accommodation was clean and adequate for a couple of nights but maybe a bit tired
- Kate (10/5): - Excellent stay for two nights then returned for a further night on our way back up. Great rooms, great food would recommend.
- Emily (8/5): - Room was spacious for family of 4 to explore Litchfield National Park. The on-site restaurant had a good menu and allowed us to takeaway to our room. Room was clean. Had to walk up stairs to our room. On-site staff were helpful.
- Steve (10/5): - Maybe doing some of the leaf-blowing and other noisier cleaning tasks after 8, that’s all. Brilliant spot to stay or launch into the National Park. Menu was very good too
- Jim (10/5): - Tje rooms are clean but a bit aged. The owners are slowly doing the facility up. Bathrooms have been recently renovated.
The onsite restaurant is amazing with a good selections of food options. One of the best meals so far in the NT
- Jason (10/5): - Very clean, quiet ,neat and tidy. great pool, bar and meal area. Friendly staff, great location for touring Litchfield. Would stay here again.
- Peter (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- Kristy (10/5): - Room was great, people staying there were lovely, quiet guests! Rooms were cool and clean. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Amazing food in the little ripper bar and cafe! Great spot to head to Litchfield for easy day trips.
- Peter (10/5): - A really comfortable room, nicely furnished, Slim Aaron prints on the wall. Manager Janet (apologies if I have your name wrong) went out of her way to ensure her guests had a great experience. By far the best place I’ve stayed in the NT.
- Julie (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at Litchfield Outback Resort. The room was large with high ceilings which makes it feel very spacious. It has recently been refurbished and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well.
- Andrea (8/5): - Rooms were very nice, but a bigger fridge would have made it better.
Staff were all great and very friendly. The grounds around the resort and pool area were in need of some tidying and a little more tlc.
- Gai (8/5): - Very clean spacious rooms with beautiful bathroom facilities, On site pub and restaurant very handy
- Aaron (8/5): - The rooms were beautifully renovated and clean. Check in and check out was super easy and staff were more than friendly and helpful giving us a map to Litchfield and explaining the hotel facilities. The pool was also very clean and inviting. As mentioned by others, this place is the local watering hole which could be troublesome for those with rooms closer to the main part or with children but was totally fine for us but could clearly hear arguments/swearing etc.
- Lorraine (10/5): - Comfortable place to stay while exploring the Litchfield Park by day. Air-conditioning was very effective and sliding doors onto the grassy pool area made fresh air readily available. No crockery beside mugs and glasses in room but good sized fridge for keeping "travel food" and drinks cold. Excellent bistro and breakfast cafe with good food-on-the-go options at reception area. Great friendly staff. Lovely clean pool with crocodile on floor and comfy deck-chairs and great grassy surrounds.
- Michael (8/5): - All food
- Susan (8/5): - An excellent location to explore Litchfield and Batchelor - Adelaide Rive
- Ghislaine (10/5): - Great access to Litchfield. Quiet location, great rooms and restaurant.
- Trevor (8/5): - The property was great
- Luanne (10/5): Litchfield - Great room and restaurant
- John (10/5): - Great surrounds , really big clean room with a wonderful updated bathroom and a beautiful courtyard to look out onto. The food from the dining room was also of a top quality.
- Dianna (10/5): - The best place to stay near Litchfield National Park. Suggest you book the executive rooms which have just been refurbished. Big, clean rooms with everything you need.
- Denise (8/5): - M
- PETER (10/5): - Lovely balcony overlooking pool with relaxing views of the countryside.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great service - Pool was nice restaurant served good meals with large portions. Had a renovated bathroom. Staff happy to help even when we woke to a flat battery and roadside was more then 4 hours arriving.
- Andrew (10/5): - Whilst really the only place to stay in Batchelor if you are not camping, an excellent stay with friendly and helpful people on their team. Rooms are comfortable and clean, there is a pool to swim and laze by and the dining options are good.
- Melissa (8/5): Weekend away - No daily room service. Otherwise it was nice .
- John (6/5): - Nice bathroom renovation
Fair bed, fair fridge, good curtains/light control
- Angela (8/5): - Staff were helpful & friendly, food was the best we’ve had so far in NT.
Would have been nice to take advantage of the pool, however, it wasn’t clean.
- Jeff (10/5): - Surprisingly good, room was great, tastefully renovated, large, great bed and nice inclusions, excellent bathroom.
- Helen (10/5): Outstanding place to stay - The Litchfield outback resort was outstanding, our room was fabulous, well appointed and top class, although understand that not all rooms have been renovated as yet. Pool was glorious.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, very informative. There is a bar and restaurant attached which was well staffed, seating indoor and outdoor, meals and bar service outstanding. Thumbs up to the chef !
As part of the complex there is also a petrol station and bottle shop too, completing everything you need when travelling thru the Litchfield area. Would stay again if the opportunity arises and definitely recommend.
- Christie (10/5): - We loved our one night stay here. The meal at the pub was fantastic and our room was so clean.
- Sarah (10/5): - very comfortable beds and great refurbished bathrooms. many rooms had been totally refurbished and were superior to the not yet refurbished bedrooms. great restaurant and handy for morning coffee and breakfast. Convenient location for exploring Litchfield National Park.
- Gina (8/5): - Great place - worst beds ever!
- Andrew (8/5): - great place. excellent pool and near quirky Batchelor town and amazing Litchfield National Park.
- Robert (6/5): Short stay - The actual room was spacious and comfortable.
No information about how to use anything in the room except for housekeeping to knock on our door the next morning to berate us with all sorts consequences if we so much as even dared to steal the plastic sugar container let alone the key card towels etc or caused any damage. Then she pushed through and hung up a sign stating these rules. There was no information to let us know that if we left sealed food on the bench it would still become riddled with ants (bread and cereal) ☹️
- Christine (10/5): - What a lovely surprise! Nice, spacious and updated rooms and walk in shower. Great pool and reasonable dining options
- Sue (8/5): - The rooms were modern and clean but there was no restricted access from the hotel to the accommodation. Suggest there should be some keyed access between the two
- PETER (10/5): Absolutely best resort / motel! hands down! - What an amazing room we had #7 the decor and fixtures where 10/10 we were astounded by what we found in this oasis in the middle of nowhere!!! We’re on a 12 day round trip of the top end and everything about this property eclipses any other motel we have stayed at!!! Even short staff x Covid everything from meals drinks & accommodation were 1st class 👍👍👍🏆😍 kudos to the team @ Litchfield Outback Resort 👏
- anna (8/5): - Vfcrt
- Andrea (8/5): - Very clean and well renovated. Just the bed was old and not very comfy.
- David (10/5): - lovely spot for a stop-over with great ambience and facilities.
- Jeffery (8/5): - The Litchfield Outback Resort had a very "country feel" about it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Anyone hiring a car would love being here for 2 nights and travelling around Litchfield at their own pace.
Good location, great spot
- Laura (10/5): - This motel has had a great renovation - rooms very comfortable and the restaurant is very good.
- Janelle (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean room
- Ursula (10/5): - Fantastic place. Great vibe. Room was huge and the bathroom first glass. Great food and service. Loved every minute of my stay there.
