- Irene (9/5): - Posto molto bello e suggestivo. Appartamento con tutto il necessario. Host gentile e disponibile.
- Marcela (10/5): -
🌿✨ Niente
- Donna (9/5): A beautiful property that we would recommend to anyone. - A very comfortable apartment in an amazing setting. Wish we could have stayed longer! Although a beautiful location, it was a bit of a hike up to the town.
- Terrence (10/5): Fantastic stay in truly Tuscan style - Gorgeous views and central to Montepulciano, truly Tuscan style accommodation Shower too small
- Valerio (9/5): -
- Glenn (9/5): Great location and fantastic views over the Tuscan countryside - Great location with a view over San Biagio Cathedral and the surrounding countryside. Quiet location. Well appointed kitchen. Capacity to pay for access to a washing machine. Offered free tickets to a concert in Montepulciano during our stay. It is a little difficult to work out where the entrance to the property is from the road.
- Wouter (9/5): Een prachtige locatie!
- Kthorndy44 (10/5): Great stay in Montepulciano - Host was responsive and met us to share information about the apartment. Housekeeping came once daily to clean. Location is great, overview of the church and a 20-minute walk into Montepulciano town. Nice outside grounds to enjoy wine and snacks while looking into the Tuscan countryside. It was an art week in Montepulciano and the host shared with us some tickets so that we could enjoy a concert in the church in old town. We felt very happy for this kind gesture. Parking was available on site.
- Paasi (9/5): We had an unique holiday experience. - Local athmosphere, good and kind service. Controlling the room temperature was a bit difficult.
- Andrea (8/5): -
- Sue (10/5): Amazing time - Monitorio made our Italy stay memorable. - Locate is great, close to the town centre with supermarket and cafes across the road.
- Taylor (10/5): The most wholesome, gorgeous stay with convenient location & lovely host - Amazing location, beautiful views, very peaceful and quiet. Access is a little nerve wracking when you first arrive but it easy to get used to
- Derryn (8/5): -
- mattia (10/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): Magical marvellous gem of a property - Montorio is a wonderful place, on the doorsetp of Montepulciano yet totally immeresed in cared-for vegetaton, from olive groves, cypresses, fruit trees to evergreen oaks. The views are stunning. The place breathes with ancient history. Everything worked perfectly and it was warm and cosy and super clean. Stefania was extremly responsive and accommodating. 10/10
- mejteu (10/5): -
- parthkumar Ashvinkumar (10/5): - Amazing property with a great location
- Shelina (10/5): - Loved everything. Beautifully appointed and Montepulciano was just the most town we've visited so far. Nothing. Even the climb up into the town was invigorating.
- matthew (10/5): Charming small apartment close to town that was just what we needed - charming small apartment with ability to do laundry for a small charge. host phenomenal. At bottom of town hill but easy access to take short drive up to mid hill parking nothing to complain about
- Dan (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property & location - It’s a beautiful family owned property with fantastic history, views and easy location to town and surrounding attractions with parking for your car. Very well set up with everything you need. Whilst it was not advertised, there is a laundry that can be used for a small fee (which was much appreciated during our stay). Nothing
- Tracie (10/5): Very nice accomodation and location - The location was amazing, the scenary, the gardens, the premises. Really enjoyed our stay. Everything
- Pamela (10/5): Beautiful and quaint. Everything was wonderful - Quiet and pretty. Just a walk uphill to town. Outside grounds to sit and enjoy. N/A
- Lakso (9/5): Enjoyed location and accommodations.would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family - Great location and plenty of space. Kitchen wasn’t as equipped as would have liked, but probably because most people don’t eat in. Personal preference. Couldn’t figure out how to use AC, so went with suggestion to open windows. Just note, no screens on windows, which means bugs (mosquitoes had easy entry). Again, this is common, just a note. We still opened the windows for a wonderful breeze.
- Ionut (10/5): Great for a total disconnect from everyday life. - I have only words of praise for this address. Stefania is a very kind person, always oriented to our comfort and always giving us the best information and recommendations for all our needs. The geographical location, the landscape and the cleanliness make this location the best choice to visit Tuscany. We really appreciate the fact that the apartment was cleaned daily. We visited Rome and Florence, leaving from this location and traveling relatively little by car. Whether you want to eat well or buy quality local produce, Stefania definitely has a recommendation! We will definitely return to this address for another stay. I don't think I found anything negative
Nada.
- Dalma (10/5): -
- Jaime (8/5): Montorio - Location is good. Within walking distance to town Place was abit small and dark. But cosy and location was good
- Sladjana (10/5): - We loved everything about this place! Beautiful, charming, clean, spacious, and amazing views and location. It's just out of the walls of old town Montepulciano, we used the car to go up to the town, as the parking lots are conveniently positioned, and as we walked a lot as is, it was unnecessary to walk all the way from the house. The walk would probably be about 20ish min uphill, depending on how fast you walk. The house is beautiful, the drive to it is from movies, the grounds around it are lovely and views from each side are breathtaking. I'd highly recommend it and would come back here in a heartbeat! The only thing I didn't like is that I don't own this as a vacation home haha there is nothing not to love!
- Zoi (7/5): - The space is quite large, the place is beautiful where it is built and quiet with a beautiful view to drink your morning coffee or eat your breakfast. The apartment was clean except for the oven, when we went to cook we opened the oven and it was stuck and had dirt.
Also, an accommodation that does not provide breakfast at such a price should at least have a coffee in the rooms because the espresso maker was there and they only had sugar.
- Marie (8/5): - Te view is amazing!! If you really want to Cook, the kitchen is really Beyond what you need
- Sandro (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (8/5): Very good - Loved the open space around the property
- Duane (10/5): Wonderful private location very close to the town. Quiet and peaceful. - Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Shower was the best of our Tuscan tour. Plus, the private grounds were so relaxing the a couple of paninis and a bottle of Nobile de Montepulciano at sunset was better than any restaurant in town. N/A
- Sharonne (8/5): It was a unique experience in a wonderful setting. - We loved the Monastic setting for taking photos of Montepulciano and the Sant Biagio Chiesa and Tuscan landscape. It was very quiet and a beautiful tuscan green garden. Perhaps a microwave and heating panel that we could operate to increase the room heat subtly. And extra blankets for using while sitting on the couch or at the kitchen chairs.
- Suzanne (10/5): Amazing and relaxing. - The views were amazing. The host Stefania was very helpful. The accomodation was extremely clean and very spacious. The location was great. Walking distance to town. Nothing
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Regina (8/5): Very good -
- Morgan (10/5): Dreamy property close to town! - So beautiful! This was a wonderful option to be close to town but have a small piece of Tuscan countryside living . It was quite a hike to the town. We did find parking to be easy though .
- Adrianne (10/5): Highlight in Montepulciano - Staying at Montorio in Montepulciano was a definite highlight to our trip through Tuscany. The view was unparalleled. The property was captivating. We had many glasses of wine and chacouterie sitting in the garden. A grocery store is just a couple minutes walk away. Highly recommended.
- Graeme (9/5): Superb -
- Leeanne (9/5): Superb -
- Roberta (9/5): Absolutely wonderful! Wish we had stayed longer - Montorio was absolutely beautiful and charming, offering everything we sought for our honeymoon accommodations. Stefania was wonderful and responsive, assisting us twice by allowing an early check-in and providing luggage storage options when our check-out time didn't align with our departure. The rooms and grounds are stunning, perfectly capturing the relaxing Tuscan vibes we were looking for. We only wish we had arranged to stay longer. The only challenging aspect was reaching the town center. Contrary to what we read in another review, it was quite a hike rather than a short walk. The paths were poorly lit, and the alternative was a road with no sidewalks, which felt quite unsafe at times. This route would be particularly difficult for anyone with accessibility issues or asthma. I highly recommend renting a car or an e-bike, as taxis are not available in this area.
- Larysa (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing property! So beautiful, clean and close to the city centre. Nothing. It was incredible. Will definitely be back!
- Jamie (8/5): Very good - The views were fantastic. Was situated on top of a steep hill. Quiet and private. Good location for exploring the area. Can walk into Montepulciano if you are up for another steep hill into town. Entrance was gated and felt safe and secure, the area in general seemed safe.
The host was great keep in contact us and met us at the property at check in. Would recommend staying here. The room we stayed in was a bit dated. Not something that bothered us though.
- Linda (10/5): Magical - Gorgeous view everywhere you look So clean and beautiful and classic
- Judy (10/5): A slice of heaven. So thankful the owner is sharing their property with all of us. - The setting was amazing. Picture perfect! Pleasant quiet patio are to enjoy the outdoors. The suite was beautifully decorated and functional. Lots of closet storage and amenities. Hose was pleasant and responsive. Loved everything.
- Per (8/5): Very good -
- Mirosław (9/5): Superb - Location, exterior, interior - wonderful. Surprising even. 1. The smell from the fridge. It wasn't washed, it was also turned off.
2. Stressful instructions on how to clean and leave the apartment.
3. Couldn't turn on the TV.
4. Opening the gate when leaving required hmmm ...ingenuity :-)
- Luigi (8/5): Very good -
- Homewood (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Bedrooms are air conditioned
- Olga (10/5): Breathtaking - That was one of the highlights of our Italian trip. If you visit Tuscany I would say this property is a must stay to get a bit of flavour of Tuscany life. The property is way more beautiful than pictures can say. The way lights play on the building during sunset and sunrise makes you regret you are not a painter. Get your phone ready to take pictures.
Surroundings are mind-blowing. Views are amazing. Those Tuscany trees all around make you believe you are in a good old movie. Even approaching this property and getting inside was breathtaking experience.
I would easily spend more days at this place just to have a chance to stay on this land and enjoy views of fields and church while drinking Montepulciano.
I rewatched Under the Tuscan sun just yesterday and seeing this exact church in a movie and these exact views was such a flash back, made me part of this movie.
There is a steep path to get to Montepulciano, but also it’s a 1 min drive with plenty of free parking.
There are a few apartments in this building but we felt we had enough privacy.
Property has laundry and ironing facilities. We couldn’t find a coffee machine. But I don’t remember if we were promised to have it in our apartment.
- Vitalii (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaun (9/5): Fantastic property in a good location with stunning views - Great location with lovely views. Really enjoyed sitting outside having dinner whilst looking up the hill at Montepulciano
- Natalia (10/5): Spectacular! - One of the most spectacular locations I ever stayed in (and I travel a lot). We were so in love, we didn't want to leave the hotel!
The garden with the view to the church is priceless!
And the location is great as well, as it's very quiet, yet a walking distance to Montepulciano town!
Would recommend it to everyone!!
- Noel (7/5): Good apartment but bring all your own stuff - food etc. - Large - plenty of space It’s more of an apartment set up - which is great if that’s what you are looking for - no hotel amenities
- Conor (9/5): Superb -
- Theofilos (9/5): Comfortable & Pleasant. - Stefania was an excellent host, very personal, pleasant and booked us a table to a local restaurant, which proved to be a culunary and customer service revelation!
The property also offered coffee! And Stafania was kind enugh to brew me an excellent cup of coffee!
The views were very nice and the setting is ideal for visiting the town.
Security gates add to the feeling of a safe stay/environment. Kitchen a bit small and shelving was a bit high.
An up-to-date tv will not go amiss...
- Brian (10/5): Stefanie was so helpful with restaurant ideas, places to see and any other help needed. The grounds and view are gorgeou - Location, cleanliness and helpful staff!!! We didn’t spend more time there
- Paulina (6/5): If there were no bed bugs it would have been perfect. - The location is perfect. There are bed bugs. Got a huge rash and the owner did not respond appropriately.
- Roberto (10/5): Love to stay there and will do it again - Really country feel, great view , amazing property, next to the town .comfortable bed , good room make up every day , beautiful kitchen . Need a safe
- Abbie (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place and great host, really recommended!
- Mukul (10/5): The best way to experience Tuscany. Right next to a town as well as secluded at the same time. -
- Andreana (9/5): Superb -
- Avery (6/5): We got what we paid for. - Great location, great property. Not very well equipped, bed is old and not that comfortable.
- Jamie (10/5): Has been suitably renovated and is a beautiful 1200 year old building. - The location and view was exceptional
- Martin (10/5): Amazing stay - Perfect location, just few steps up to the hill to the Montepulciano old town. Amazing views and beautiful surroundings.
- Paul (8/5): Great place very central -
- Richard (10/5): It was magical. Perfect!! -
- Karen (9/5): Wonderful to return to Montorio to sit outside in the garden enjoying a glass of wine andthe view. - This was our third stay in Montorio. It's a lovely place with a breath taking view.
- Laura (10/5): Fabulous - Beautiful location, beautifully maintained. Stefania and her staff were so kind and accommodating - I would highly recommend this to anyone.
- Patryk (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paulo (8/5): Excellent stay, we loved it. - Beautiful location, with everything you need for self catering and sitting in the beautiful garden with a bottle of wine. Bit of a walk to get into the center of town so be prepared. Very steep hill.
- Soulmate (9/5): Love Tuscany - All... Stefania was excellent...we couldn't get WIFI before so she was chasing us with her vespa...hahahaha
Love it. Mozzies..hahahaha..had the doors open...must have been Italian mozzies
- Georgios (8/5): Very good - Unbelievable location and views
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kursatkara (9/5): Superb - Amazing place in a beautiful location, lovely garden and sunset. Too many mosquitos in the garden, we were bitten too many times.
- Cataaaa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karina (10/5): Great location, views and house. - The location is amazing - walking distance to the old town and short drive to Pienza, the house was better than the photos, total privacy. We didn’t get a reply when we SMSd to ask about wine tours.
- Jannie (8/5): Very good - Very nice place with lot´s of outside facilities. Just a shot walk up the hill to town. Parking in front of the apartment with no extra cost. No coffee table and not much table space.
- Josefine (9/5): Tuscan feeling close to Montepulciano - Montorio was a lovely place to stay. We were impressed by the decor and the Tuscan feeling of the apartment - it’s very unique, and makes you feel at home from the start. The villa and surrounding are amazing, and has a nice view of Montepulciano and the San Biagio. The history of the villa dates back many years, and hearing how Montorio was renovated to what it is today was a super charming and interesting touch. The host was helpful and answered our inquiries quickly.
- Juan (10/5): Extraordinary experience at Montepulciano - Unique location and classic decoration, very comfortable, great garden and views, fast internet and attentive/ proactive owners. Helpful tips and recommendations on restaurants. No washing machine (no space available) however laundry service was available.
- Grant (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect for us, it was quiet, close to the supermarket, restaurant and bar. Outstanding views of the Tuscany Valley. Excellent parking on site. Everything was perfect
- Vladimir (10/5): Exceptional -
