Guest Reviews
- Davide (6/5): - La posizione La colazione PESSIMA!!!
- Trevor (9/5): - The place was exceptionally clean, the staff were great and the price was very reasonable Nothing
- sara (10/5): Comodo e tranquillo! - Personale cordiale e disponibile.camera pulita e spaziosa. Buona pressione della doccia e piccola città tranquilla.
Consigliato per riposarsi a un buon prezzo e un buon comfort
- James (10/5): - Very clean, staff was very friendly, and very reasonable rates Everything was grear
- Randall (10/5): Cozy, clean, quiet and new. - Everything was new, the place has recently been remodeled. The breakfast was minimal being just toast, cereal and bad coffee.
- Rochele (6/5): - The motel is clean and the beds are comfortable. It could use a lot of cosmetic upgrades but it's what you'd expect for the price.
- Bonnie (5/5): Ok - Location Short term rentals/public laundry
- Major (7/5): - Not a bad stay. No complaints.
- Kelson (10/5): -
- Lyanne (8/5): - Clean Very basic breakfast
- Dot (9/5): - Classic Motel, (Updated and Stylish Decor w/vinyl flooring)mid-size fridge, microwave, and hairdryer). Convenient to Sirloin Stockade for dinner. Right on Route 66, and central to several historic sites. Precious Moments Chapel and close to Grand Falls in Joplin Had NO issues; everything worked. 😇
- Clinton (7/5): Decent parking but rooms need to be updated and cleaned better! - Decent parking Room smells were gross!
- Joanne (8/5): A good basic motel in a great location. - The hotel is central to the old town area of Carthage. We were able to explore on foot the town square, shops and museum. The room was basic but comfortable. Nothing. It was as expected
- Dameon (1/5): -
- Brad (10/5): - Great value, very clean.
- Christine (5/5): Very basic. - Comfortable bed clean bathroom.
Good parking. No coffee machine in room or coffee available during the day.
Breakfast was stale cereal and jam that had congealed in its packet.
- Corey (10/5): - Safe and quiet
- Michael (10/5): - The owner was at the front desk. He was super nice and very friendly. I was on a motorcycle, he allowed me to park it in a covered area and places me in a room that was very close to that area. Rooms were clean and the bed was great. In the morning he made sure to tell me that coffee was ready and offered to let me fill a travel mug if i wanted. Would highly recommend
- Joan (7/5): -
- Terri (9/5): -
- Schenkel (6/5): didn't love it but I guess you get what you pay for, it wasn't dirty or anything - Easy to find, not expensive, easy enough for a night the room was okay, but not particularly cozy or comfortable, neighbors were a bit loud outside the room, and there was a door connecting with the neighboring room
- Juraj (8/5): -
- Ron (6/5): -
- rivas (5/5): -
- Gaetan (10/5): - Tout Rien
- Tabatha (9/5): We really enjoyed this quaint motel! - The management was very friendly.
The room was nice and the bed was super comfy. The complimentary breakfast selection was limited, but that seems to be the norm anymore.
- Ruth (6/5): - Traditional style motel. No frills Room a little shabby - paint peeling on bathroom doors. Breakfast absolute minimum. Compared to similar priced and similar style motels on our current vacation this was disappointing.
- ATHENA (10/5): - This hotel is always quiet, the employees are friendly and polite. If there's an issue thry try to fix it right away. Our TV didn't work and they came and fixed as quickly as possible.
- Misty (10/5): - Nice and clean for the price!
- Shannon (8/5): - Thanks for having the air on for us.
- Damon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Martha (6/5): - The motel needs remodeling. Was asked to leave a cash deposit and it was returned after inspection of the room.
The refrigerator was replaced because it was not working. The manager allowed us to park our motorcycles under the car port so that was nice. The bathroom didn't look very clean because it was old. All the rooms are facing the center of the place and it's located at a busy street.
- JAY (10/5): - 👍 would stay again.
- C (8/5): Nice, affordable place to stay for a night - A nice clean, comfortable place to stay for a night... Windows that can open for fresh air including one in the bathroom, which is rare these days... Comfortable bed, convenient location... Considering that the room has cinder block walls I would have thought it would be more quiet that it was...
- Zack (4/5): Not worth staying again - My refrigerator didnt work. The air conditioner worked occasionally. There was someone grilling in front of my door.
- Robert (8/5): - The room was well maintained and very clean. The bed was comfortable. An excellent value motel.
- Tony (8/5): Overall good value for the price. - The the room was pretty basic but it was clean and had been recently renovated. The bed was comfortably firm and even had lace edged sheets. Like every old motel you could pick up a hint of old smoke smell even though the room is now non-smoking.
The lady at the front desk was polite and spoke English well enough.
- Farah (5/5): Hotel room was clean. Still needs to improve breakfast area and have it ready. - Comfy bed and it was clean. It had a USB hook up to charge devices. The staff was very friendly. Lack of breakfast arrangements. Had to request for breakfast items.
- Melissa (10/5): - They were nice and it's affordable
- Bonnie (8/5): felt very comfortable there. - I did not eat there.
- Amber (8/5): Very good - I loved this stay and the staff were very accommodating. I paid $15 a night extra for a pet fee. Tried to come back a couple days later and the lady in the office said I couldn't stay there anymore bc my dog sheds. That is crazy in my opinion. I would have given this hotel my business forever but now I will tell everyone with pets not.to go.
- Glenda (8/5): Fair price, comfy bed, nice owners - Comfy bed, recently remodeled room. Nice not to have carpet. AC unit is loud, need a hook behind the door for hanging stuff. A small shelf would be nice next to bed between bathroom wall. Road noise can be heard and anything going on at gas station next door. We are in non smoking room but ppl smoke right outside our room and smoky air get sucked into our room by the AC unit. Smokers should walk farther away.
- Greg (1/5): They badly need better pillows. - Location Beds were hard, pillows old and lumpy, ice machine didn’t work
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): Superb - Love the way it's been remodeled, really friendly staff.
- Annie (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (5/5): Passable - staff were really nice and helpful door didn’t feel like it locked securely, and you could hear the train all night VERY LOUD, which wasn’t disclosed prior to booking
- david (10/5): - Owners were on site and very helpful. Great beds and clean!! Very quiet surroundings. Will stay there again
- Kathryn (8/5): Very good - Very clean, comfortable bed. Road noise
- jim (10/5): - Nice older motel, very comfortable beds. Super nice people running the place. We come back every year for the Mapleleaf festival.
- Mary (10/5): - Staff was amazing. Room was big, clean and very comfortable
- Jesse (3/5): Poor -
- Emily (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (1/5): Bad - Did not stay. At noon I had to be buzzed in to a cluttered and dirty lobby. Desk person asked for way too much personal information and tried to charge my card after I already reserved room on booking.com. I did not stay. Business is rundown and not in a good location.
- Mark (5/5): not any place i would stay again - lack of much to eat for breakfast
- Drew (5/5): Passable -
- Dorothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dorothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carroll (9/5): Will be back soon - Nice and clean well stocked. I loved the two tone color. Of the center blocks walls.. I would recommend anyone to visit The bathroom was a little small. But the cleanest made up for it
- Amanda (8/5): Drive to the door Carthage motel - The room was clean and comfortable, and not too far from Carthage center. It was a drive to the door motel on one level which is very handy. There was a lovely family restaurant within a 10 minute walk from the motel, and a mexican just over the road.
- Darla (8/5): Great customer service - The lady was very nice. I called and they allowed us to arrive past check in time. Process was super easy which whe. Youre coming in tired is great.
- Kevin (9/5): Old fashioned motor court done right - a great value! - The rooms in this old-style motor court had everything a guest expects in a room in great working order. Owner/operating family was friendly and hard-working ., Carthage has seen better days.
- John (10/5): - Nice little hotel for the price.
- Dylan (6/5): Quiet and rude - Quiet.. Rude staff.
- Rokas (9/5): Superb - We wanted to have some real motel experience - so we got it fully in a good way, we were happy. It was clean for us, and everything was ok. Staff was helpful! Wifi was working well and fast! Parking next to your door - perfect! -
- Field (5/5): Passable -
- Scott (8/5): Cool vintage vibe. - Staff was courteous. Staff also allowed us to check in a little early.
Parking lot was clean.
- Zsófia (6/5): Okay for 1 night - The staff is super nice, the place is close to the courthouse if you would like to visit it. Not a fancy place at all, but definitely it went throught some refurbishment.
- Sylvia (3/5): Poor -
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jean (9/5): Satisfactory for my short stay. - Location was convenient. A bit noisy because of train whistles but otherwise quiet. Breakfast was very limited. Coffee, cereal, toast.
- Mohan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kris (8/5): Very good -
- Dian (7/5): Good -
- jim (10/5): - Nice older motel, super nice staff, Comfortable beds, clean inside and out.
- Raechel (7/5): Good - I loved the set up , the staff were friendly and helpful ! When we needed something the got it taken care of right away . The beds were okay for a couple night stays . Good working fridge and and microwave . Well lit bathroom area . Remade room every morning . Always had clean towels . Walked in to crickets (live) on the floor . TV was difficult to work with the remote . Some of the fixtures were broken . Not many spots to plug things in . Pillows were rock hard . Neither windows had a screen over them . Only two lights for the actual room .
- Kris (8/5): I think it was great except for breakfast which was basically nonexistent. - This was the only disappointment. They only had toast or cereal. breakfast
- Nola (6/5): Good for 1 night. Clean. - Not much to choose from. The coffee was good.
- Paul (10/5): For the price it was SUPER! - The breakfast was the only thing we didn't benefit from. It was pitiful for us as we eat vegan. But that's OK. The room was VERY NICE!!!!!
- Audrey (9/5): Good. - Convenient location, easily accessible. Small bathroom.
- Kathleen (5/5): Not great but not horrible - Location was good, good distance to pretty much everything. Very clean and convenient parking The drain in the bathroom tub didn't work so wasn't able to take an actual bath, shower had good pressure. Bed was super hard and the mattress keep sliding off the box spring.
- Joshua (10/5): Wonderful stay and would stay again - Memory foam mattress and very friendly staff, within walking distance of cool landmark and convenience stores/restaurants, nice cold a/c Room was a little small
- Andrew (10/5): Great stay. - Clean and tidy room, ideal location for doing route 66, would use again. Bonus for us was there was on-site laundry.
- Sillin (9/5): Quality stay - Good location. Very clean and comfortable. H Highway noise at times.
- Judith (10/5): The bed was so high that it was a bit difficult for me to get in it, but I'd still stay here again. - I am slightly mobility impaired and the manager helped me get into the room and checked in with me in the morning as I was leaving. Very nice! When a problem on the road threatened to get me to the motel after the posted check-in time, I called 3 times to inquire about the possibility of getting in even if I was a few minutes late. The person who answered the phone was not proficient in English, kept telling me to call back when the boss was there, but each time I called when he said I should, he was still the only one available -- and unable to answer my question. That was a bit nerve-wracking.
- Kathleen (8/5): Very good -
- John (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rosa (7/5): Good -
- Kathleen (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (7/5): Good -
- Lea (8/5): Very good -
- Barrynof (4/5): Sorry to say, but I have to rate this poor - The outside looked nice. The beds were clean and comfortable. The floors in the main area and bath seemed to be recently replaced. There was a good sized TV, a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. However, there were also some major flaws. The door was missing it's locking mechanism. In fact, it looked like it had been torn out by someone breaking in. (See pictures.) The bathroom door had trouble closing and it was torn up at the bottom. (See pictures.) The ceiling over the vanity and in the bathroom were in serious disrepair. (See pictures.) The chair at the desk was a little beaten up, too. Lastly, the WiFi was very spotty. The people running this motel seem very nice, but they really should have nailed down these things before renting out this room to us.
- Julson (8/5): This motel met our needs at an affordable rate. - Very clean rooms. The staff was very friendly. Internet was not very good, I had to use my own cell service for internet.
- Debbie (5/5): Passable -
- Kari (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (5/5): Passable -
- Merle (10/5): Exceptional - As a whole was a great stay.
- Kailey (1/5): Terrible - Nothing Everyone

- Dae (8/5): Very good -
