• Jan (8/5): - Geen klachten. Prima. Kamer iets te duur voor de eenvoud.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Preis -Leistung passt leider überhaupt nicht. - Leider war der Teppich im Zimmer mit großen Flecken versehen. Das war sehr ekelig. Samstags wurde das Zimmer nicht gereinigt. Die Zimmer- und Flurtüren schließen über eine Hydraulik sehr laut. Das stört den Schlaf und andere Hotelgäste. Das Frühstück war nur mit dem nötigsten versehen. Die Rezeption ist erst ab 14.30 Uhr besetzt. Das Restaurant war geschlossen.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Wij hadden dit hotel geboekt omwille van de wellness faciliteiten die zijn dus blijkbaar stuk.. Als we dit geweten hadden dan zouden we toch een hotel iets dichter bij de designer outlet genomen hebben. Personeel wel heel vriendelijk, kamer net.
• Suvi (4/5): Jaettu kylpyhuone, ei kiitos - Varauksesta huolimatta emme koskaan yöpyneet hotellissa koska huoneeseemme olisi kuulunut yhteinen kylpyhuone toisen huoneen kanssa. Tämä onneksi kerrottiin meille heti sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä. Sama luki kyllä varausvahvistuksessakin jos olisimme lukeneet sen tarkasti.. Mutta liian erikoinen ratkaisu siis meille joten päätimme kärsiä maksstun huoneen hinnan ja etsiä uuden hotellin pikavauhtia, jossa huoneeseen kuuluisi oma kylpyhuone. Vinkkinä siis:economy-tason huoneeseen ei kuulu omaa kylppäriä vaan on jaettu jonkun toisen huoneen asukaiden kanssa.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Ruhig gelegen aber laute Nachbarn - Leider war genau bei unserem Aufenthalt kein Wasser vorhanden weil es im Ort gebrannt hatte und die Feuerwehr eine Wasserleitung beschädigt hat . Kann das Hotel natürlich nichts für . Wasser lief dann erst in der kommenden Nacht wieder . Man hätte aber wenigstens zum Zähneputzen etc. eine Wasserflasche jedem Zimmer zur Verfügung stellen können . Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der direkten Nähe gab es leider nicht . Und vielleicht die Gäste mal per Zettel informieren die Zimmertüren nicht so zu knallen . Erst gegen Mitternacht war einigermaßen Ruhe im Flur !

• Eveline (10/5): Hotel Asselt, ett trevligt ställe. - Mycket trevligt ställe, mitt i naturen. kanske inte så lätt att hitta men med hjälp av GPS, det löser sig. Vänlig personal. Bra mottagandet. Utmärkt frukost. Dit skulle jag gärna vilja återvända, och besöka Roermond som jag inte fick tid att göra.

• Rob (10/5): Uitstekend hotel dicht gelegen bij de Outlet - Wat een geweldig hotel was dit! Prima ontvangst met goede uitleg over alles. Wij zijn hier geweest in combinatie met een weekend bezoek aan de stad Roermond en de Mc Arthur clan Outlet. De stad Roermond viel ietwat tegen, wel een speciale vermelding voor het Schnitsel Paradies bijzonder goes restaurant. Het hotel dan weer, fijn personeel, normaal goed ontbijt(alles is er wel) en de ligging was prima lekker rustig gelegen. Hammam geen gebruik van gemaakt i.v.m. kort verblijf, wij zin wel saunagasten maar er was voor ons geen tijd voor. De bedden liggen echt uitstekend en na de vraag van welk fabrikaat deze waren, hebben we dezelfde dag nog een email ontvangen hierover, uit de kunst! Wij komen hier zeker nog eens terug.

• GaiusMagnus (8/5): A reasonable stay - This hotel had all the feel of a budget hotel, but when considering what they charge it is good value. No real trimmings but a passable restaurant. It is on a side road so it is relatively quiet and has parking available. I did not leave thinking I would love to return, but if I had to I would be chilled.
• Rene (6/5): Ruhig gelegenes Hotel - Ein entspannter und ruhiger Aufenthalt im Hotel Asselt. Bei Ankunft freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption und unkomplizierte Zimmervergabe. Für ein 3 Sterne Hotel außergewöhnlich gute Küche. Die Vorspreisen und auch die Hauptgerichte waren frisch zubereitet und sehr gut. Obwohl der Küchenschluß kurz bevor stand. Die Zimmer waren sehr ordentlich und gepflegt und für die Art des Kurzurlaubs mehr als ausreichend. Die Betten waren nicht durchgelegen und sehr bequem.

• Skik1969 (8/5): Cosy hotel along "Pieterpath" walking tour and near Designer Outlet - We stayed at Hotel Asselt while visiting the Designer Outlet. The hotel is about a 5 min drive from the Outlet and offers private parking along a quiet road. The hotel was quiet when we visited and it resulted in us being the only customers in the restaurant. As a result it lacked some atmosphere, although the place is nicely designed. Food was fair quality for fair value (although my dear steak was slightly overcooked) No lift is available (but receptionist offered to assist with luggage), the room was quite small but newly decorated. Beds were good! Room was clean. The car can be parked at the premises free of charge. Breakfast was continental with scrambled eggs and bacon added. Quality was good with good variety of bread types and cold cuts. The hotel is situated on a quiet road along the 500 km walking trail "Pieterpad" so lovely hotel when hiking or cycling.
• Clive (8/5): Lovely peaceful location - The hotel is in a beautiful location which we were only able to appreciate in the morning as we had arrived in the dark. We only stayed for 1 night but felt very comfortable. The restaurant is not open on a Sunday but a 15 minutes walk down the road led us to a lovely warm and welcoming restaurant. Breakfast in the morning was very good.

• thomasc393 (8/5): Nice stop over hotel close to Roermond outlet - Stayed there for one night as a stop over between France and Denmark. Located close to the motorway (which can be heard if you sleep with the windows open!). Nice backyard where you can eat if weather permits. Good beds and clean rooms.
• Tom (10/5): Prima verblijf - Ruime en propere hotelkamer, daarnaast was het personeel zéér vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Het wellnesscentrum is een échte aanraden en voor hotelgasten veel goedkoper. Daarnaast was brasserie 'De Noorman' dik in orde. De prijzen van de dranken waren niet duur. De menukaart was niet ruim maar hetgeen dat geserveerd werd was héél lekker. Een prima kok voor een schappelijke prijs, een aanrader. Er was een klein mankement in onze badkamer, dat werd gemeld, hopelijk wordt het in de toekomst verholpen.

• diana0618 (6/5): OKAY for one night - We did not want to spend a fortune to spend a night in Roermond. As we had a car, this hotel was fine for us. Staff were kind and helpful and complimentary breakfast was included in the rate. The room is quite small, and the washing basin in the bathroom is super small. Unfortunately rooms were not sufficiently insulated, so we woke up several times at night when our neighbours closed (or banged) the doors or walked on the corridor. It was almost like they were in your room.

• Marlies (6/5): leuk hotel, alleen wat achterstallig onderhoud. - Glaswand aan bad zat los. Had nieuw sloop (was vies)voor grote kussen gevraagd en dat zou gebracht worden maar dat gebeurde niet. Er zat vliegenpoep aan de kozijnen in de eetzaal. 's morgens om 7 uur stond er een busje van de buren 20 minuten onder ons open raam met de dieselmotor aan. De hor in de badkamer zat helemaal los tussen de buitenkant van de pui geklemd en paste helemaal niet, dat heb ik zelf gerepareerd. In de kamer zelf was geen hor, erg jammer. Bad was erg klein, ik paste er met mijn schouders niet eens tussen. Het dakbeschot kraakte 's nachts nogal.

The rooms were clean, the reception people were helpful, the breakfast was adequate and whenever we ate for dinner, it was superb. The hotel is in the countryside and a few km away from the centre. But there is a nice walk around the hotel grounds, and close to a few restaurants too. The Internet connection at hotel is strong. The hotel has only two floors and no lift.
• Verified traveler (6/5): No Attached Bath Room in Room its Common Bath Room - we thought when will we go from this place because the Hotel Roots was very bad and even in hotel there is no Individual Bath room and toilet its all draw back about this hotel but the Staffs are very nice and helpful .
• PSWong (8/5): Well run local hotel with a good restaurant - I booked this hotel because I wanted to stay away from the centre city of Roermond but near the Roermond Designer Outlet. Its abt less than 10km away. The Hotel is popular with local business man and retirees as the hotel runs a wellness centre. The hotel ground is surrounded by greeneries.The front desk is very attentive and helpful. Its just 2 floors , so no lifts. We were travelling light so that was not an issue. Rooms and toilet are a bit small. No aircon, so we slept with the windows aopen bit. However, there was one mosquito got into the room.The washing basin is really small half semicircle with a protruding tap, makes washing a bit difficult. Otherwise shower space was big. Wifi log in thru various server and some times get dropped. Not very stable and strong. We had dinner at the restaurant. Ordered a seabass and salad, which turned out to be surprising good. The hotel is also located 3km away from a big retail park which has a big supermarket, homeware and sports shop. Good location and easy to get on to highway to head anywhere in netherlands.
• Tore_Traveller (8/5): A nice hotel on the countryside - This hotel with fresh interior and has pretty decent standard to have shared bathroom solution for the rooms. A little off track 10-15 min walking to the few pubs in Swalmen. But if the hotels Spa area keep you busy you are well off....
• Diverupe (8/5): Lovely quiet hotel with good staff - The funny thing is, I am rating this place highly but they forgot to book me in on the night I stayed! An error was made at the desk and I was not expected. Not a problem though, I was sat down in the bar with a free beer and nibbles and asked to wait while they sorted a room. The beer was worth the wait and the room was great. Clean and tidy and very fairly priced. The hotel seems close to a large road on the map but you would not know it by visiting. The bed was comfortable and the included breakfast was the best I have had in ages, despite it being a simple dutch breakfast.
• sakj2014 (10/5): Very nice stay ! - We had a very pleasant stay at the Asselt Hotel ! We had booked for a twin room with separate shower, and when we arrived the staff offered us an vacant room with included bathroom ! Thank you so much ! ;-) The breakfast is tasty, lots of choice available, we did not try the bar nor did we try the restaurant but they seemed well-driven just like the rest if the establishement is. Close to Roermondt, car/bike needed though. Aroud the hotel il a calm and peaceful countryside, to have a walk in. The staff is very efficient and polite, the rooms are very nice. There's also a sauna/hammam/fitness complex.
• martinsm1 (6/5): Average - Stayed there 2 nights . Staff was friendly and helpful. Sleep was nice and cosy. Lack of any toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast coffee is just awful. Traveling from Roermond by taxi is expensive and it takes total bill for hotel way too much over the budget what I would be ready to pay again for similar space.
• la_ragazza_mela (4/5): Won't be seeing me again - Room was small but ok. Clean sheets, bed was comfortable. We had to use the bathroom further down the hallway. Clean as well, but terrible odour coming from the sink or something. Breakfast was ok, but could be better. No croissants or anything like that. Staff was not very pleasant, especially the one at the front desk. At 8 o'clock AM, a fanfare band started rehearsing at the hotel. At the weekend that is! Still can't believe a hotel would allow that, taking all the other guests in consideration... I guess for some hotels money is more important than guests. When you want to use the spa facilities (sauna, hamam, ...) you have to pay, even if you are a guest. What age are we living in? When I adressed this matter at the front desk, it came down to the fact that 'It was brand new'. So your guests have to pay 'till it's pay off? Seriously?
• HighMikko (10/5): Hidden diamond - Nice, professional and most helpful staff I encountered in years. Free WiFi in all areas, Free parking. Excellent food in the restaurant thanks to a great chef. Excellent hotel in all aspects. I will definitely stay there again at any time.
• Fmd1000 (4/5): Not satisfied at all - From outside the Hotel looks stylish, inside we see as positive the quality of the boxspring beds, the Wifi and the quiet surroundings and the vicinity to Roermond, Düsseldorf. However that is all... As negative we noted the only basic breakfast, the poor somehow sleepy service by mostly unskilled part-time staff. We refer to the poor equipment in the rooms, the lack of lamps and dark atmosphere thru the whole building. Poor cleaning in the room like dirty window frames and bath fittings, in the so called wellness center there was no staff, no cold water to fresh up after the sauna, no towels, no chairs, however a lot of hamam equipment. Make sure not to pay for the wellness center.
• RoxLima (8/5): a hidden gem!! - Ended up in the hotel due to a combination of reviews and price comparison. I was very lucky to find this one! it is a small hotel, you definitely need a car to reach it, it is in the country side but 8-10 min from the roermond outlet and 15 min from german towns. I only booked the hotel for one night and seriously regretted not staying longer in the area. Arrived late at night and planned to leave early morning but decided to enjoy a couple of hours just relaxing.... the breakfast is awesome and fresh... the coffee was delicious!, the terrace was small but very nice with a small fountain and a side "oriental' area to seat. very modern, attentive and welcoming staff. At the beginning I was concerned that an early rooster were going to disrupt my sleep but it didn't happen :) despite the fact that I had to leave the window open (there is no air conditioned :( ... perhaps the only minus but only because of the unusual hot weather in europe during those days). I woke up with the soft sounds of the country side birds.... Everything looked like brand new at the hotel, they may probably would like to learn few things from their peers if they want to keep the hotel continuing looking like that. What can I say.... will not hesitate at all to go back to this hotel :)
• peterm36 (6/5): Trying hard - Only been a hotel since May but the staff are trying very hard to make it a success. Very quietly situated down a country lane. Everywhere spotlessly clean but overall the hotel currently lacks atmosphere
