- Mark (10/5): - Dolphin House is in prime oceanfront location just a stone's throw from White Beach. While my room was basic, the property grounds are beautiful with a picturesque restaurant and bar overlooking the sea. The staff though is what sets Dolphin House apart - so warm, friendly and accommodating! I arrived late after their restaurant and front desk had closed but the kitchen made two huge and delicious sandwiches that they left with the night guard to give to me - sooo nice! Similarly, the next night I got back to the hotel late after a full day of diving and sightseeing and despite the kitchen being closed a half an hour already, the chef made dinner for me. I just wish I could have stayed longer!
- Curious820263 (8/5): Beautiful quiet Resort in paradise - I chose dolphin House for our 3 day stay near moalboal because we wanted to Dive with the "Sardine - Swarm". This Resort is very beautiful and all the previous Reviews on TripAdvisor are very apt about the Beauty of this Resort. Yes this Resort is very well run and kept. We wanted a quiet beautiful Resort with it's own dive shop. This Resort has it. It is important to mention that guests can walk to the neigbouring beautiful "White beach" along the water's Edge so that guests can enjoy both the quiet beautiful Resort and a Cocktail Sunset at White beach which WE did with our son. Also you can book Activities and Transport to the Airport at White beach (agents will speak to you) 👍🏻Lunch and evening meals are excellent at Dolphin House but if you want other cheaper Options, White beach has many other eating places (we didn't try any). Also travelling to the town of moalboal with tuktuk doesn't costs much. I think other Reviews mentioned how much. In summury I would definitely book Dolphin House again because it is very beautiful, quiet and relaxing and has a good and convient dive shop plus a good house reef. It's Location next to White beach is a huge plus because guests have the best of both worlds and Options for eating out the the most beautiful beach next door. Transport in the Philippines is reasonable and reliable (good cars) We Hope to visit Dolphin House again and thank the hard working staff especially Marian at reception for upgrading us! - U2308GAdanielm (2/5): Beds are rock hard. Room smells like mold. - Poor customer service. Room smells like mold. Managed very poorly. Bed is rock hard. Owner is rude to guests. Avoid at all costs. I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me. Horrible guest experience for my girl and I. They won’t be around for long with these issues.
- O2260ZYroberts (2/5): Lazy & Unprofessional Front Desk, Manager That Eavesdrops on Your private Conversations - Honestly on a 5 point scale for beauty, setting, and fair ocean vibes I would give Dolphin House a 6! Potentially a very good place to stay if you are diving and snorkeling. But holy bejeezus the front desk is lazy. Nor is the manager interested in helping customers- he would rather make ad hominem attacks than deal with the failings of his staff. We had an urgent situation requiring us to contact the driver of the car arranged by Dolphin House (item left in car). Could have been resolved in ten minutes. Yet Dolphin House avoided more than 15 calls and a polite email marked “urgent”over a span of three hours. After another urgent (and less polite) email one of the three front desk ladies finally answered (unprofessionally). By that time our item was long gone. In person, those three front desk staff just chat with each other and don’t assist visitors. They don’t even make eye contact until you say something. Certainly they are not checking or writing emails. So after 3 hours the front desk then claimed (via Whatsap !!) -“Sorry, our phone was on silent mode!” (For three hours and no one noticed?!) -“Uh, the local phones are down!” (They weren’t) -“You must have called the wrong number!” (We didn’t, and their instinct was to blame the customer) They also refused to call us to resolve the situation despite several requests. Lastly the manager simply refused to believe what we were telling him- that due to the hotel’s lazy attitude my wife was forced to go to the police station to report the item left in the car as missing. When we explained to the manager that this was required by our insurance policy, he responded with unbusinesslike insults. He refused to believe my wife was required to go to the police if the item was not returned. to her. The manager had no idea about the terms of our JAPANESE travel insurance contract, though I explained its terms. He simply chose to attack us for going to the police even though he had no clue what he was talking about. So minus 5 points for having the most lazy front desk staff that I have encountered in 30 years of adventure travel, and a manager that enables and reinforces their lack of professionalism. Love Moalboal, but stay elsewhere than Dolphin House is our advice (not surprisingly the place was mostly empty for five days we were there). Bad management can seriously damage even charming destinations.
- Yeonock (4/5): - Overpriced and stuck in their glory in the past. Front desk closing at 6PM is not willing to help you in any exceptional situations. Complaining from the guest about their poor services will be returned with insults by the owner. There are a lot better options in the entire area, that would deserve your hard-earned money better.
- Elias (4/5): Dated and too expensive - The hotel is quite dated and the room we got was quite dirty. You're not really getting what you're paying for here. We highlighted the key issues to the reception and ask that we'd cancel our stay and refund us at least a portion of the stay, but they refused. The key issues are really: - Beds are rock hard, literally like laying on hard floors. - The back wall of our room was dirty with a massive brown/dark stain across the wall. - The bathroom was dated and not well cleaned. The restaurant staff are very nice and service minded, but the menu is limited and food average at best, you'll get a much better meal for half the price in town. The pool area is decent, and it looks like a great place to go scuba diving.

The staff was very accommodating, and the resort had a pleasant ambiance, perfect for relaxation. Although we only stayed for one night, the resort was clean, and our room was nice and tidy.

We appreciated a lot all the hints given towards an eco friendly stay in Cebu, especially on avoiding the whale shark visits which are all but animal friendly. Great location, seaside views are stunning, staff super friendly and the scuba school with very experienced scuba masters giving good instructions and showing all patience. Was a great stay!

Getting there from city is 3hours ride, but once you get there the travel was worth the effort. They also offer Diving classes & experiences.

- NBAftaIV (8/5): A pleasant place for our evening meal, at a price. - We did not stay in this resort. Went for an evening meal. The place looks very pleasant, some of the accommodation is older than other parts and it shows. It is a large resort with a lovely pool, just as well as the beach is non-existent. It is possibly the most expensive place in Moalboal, and it shows when you consult the restaurant menu. There is a daily per person fixed price choice of starters, mains and deserts. You can opt for how many courses you want and choose from the restricted choice for each course. Prices may shock some, we had 2 Pilsen beers, a pizza and 2 very ordinary banana split deserts, for P1600. I do think that charging P120 for a San Mig Pilsen is a little greedy but it was served cold in glasses. Stay-in guests may be on half or full board basis in which case the meals are included. Food was acceptable, service good and cheerful.
- Stay609969 (10/5): gem of a spot - Fabulous place. My travel organiser for a three week Philippine tour picked this place for Moalboal and she was right. Super relaxing time, amazingly helpful super friendly staff, really felt like I was staying at a family owned seaside spot, not some stuck-up snazzy resort. I don't even scuba dive, but did some snorkelling and am determined to come back when i've ditched my nicotine habit and have healthier lungs. The Internet connection was great so I did some work whilst there, all whilst looking out at the goregous garden or out at the sea. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay, and if you dive - it's a must!

The resort is located close enough to things you want to do or see, but also a calm and quit and you have the feeling of "privacy" from the surrounding. It's a large resort with more than enough space for all the guest. The founder and owner of the resort, Rudy, is always present and he's a very friendly person with many interesting stories. We had a wonderful week staying at Dolphin-House Resort.

The main issue was the owner. He was not very nice. You would expect the owner of the hotel to be more hospitable. More concerning was his treatment of the staff, it is obvious they don’t like him. Otherwise, we had a great time. The food was pretty good. I would stay there again and just ignore the owner. Grumpy old man!
- Journey15585215605 (10/5): Fantastic Moalboal Stay at Dolphin-House Resort - This resort is one of my favorite places when I stayed in Moalboal. Reasonable price, friendly staff and clean facilities. It's very accessible to white beach which has some fun activities to do with such as playing netball, snorkeling or having a massage if you fancy one. The Local Cafe is also nearby. I think it is a great spot if you would like to spend time with your loved ones and friends and be isolated from the crowd. I would definitely come back to this place.

The food was not worth the money and there was cling film in-between the pizza dough and toppings. We heard the owner being unaccomodating to a French guest asking for help. The hotel looks astectically pleasing, but the service was not worth the money we paid. Wont be recommending this to friends and family.

- Sanhia (8/5): - The hotel is very well kept. It s a beautiful and peaceful place. The rooms are decorated with beautiful art pieces and are also very clean. I love the proximity to the beach. I found a little private spot to swim and enjoy the pristine waters. The food and service at the restaurant were wonderful, the waiters were very attentive, especially Jose, who was very kind and diligent. I love the gardens and the swimming pool. The hotel offers diving lessons, diving expeditions and rents the equipment. The staff at the hotel was very professional and friendly. The only thing I think needs to be improved is the wi-fi service. The wi-fi kept disconnecting and it was almost non-existent in the rooms. I had to go to the bar to get some wi-fi to take care of important personal and job-related issues. It was stressful at times, especially with the cancellations and changing flights due to the coronavirus. These days, travelers rely on wi-fi service in a hotel. Especially if it is promoted as a service the hotel provides. I stayed in the hotel for 10 days, the wi-fi service was very important for me. Other than that, the hotel is a wonderful place to relax, explore, and enjoy your vacations.

Tour sites were relatively close from the property compared to staying in Cebu. Would definitely come back to do dive sites.

Also the Hotel is 15m away by tuc tuc from a beach with restaurants and bars. Our room was very small but ok. No tv. The breakfast was ok not amazing as was not the food in the bar. But overall the Hotel is a good deal very relaxing and in a pretty place.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was the first dedicated dive resort my partner and I have ever stayed at and we were delighted with everything. Dolphin House has been designed with everything in very close proximity - the rooms, the dive centre, the bar/restaurant, spa and fitness suite. Our room was very clean, spacious, had firm foam mattresses on the beds and really good storage space. The team at the dive centre were great to dive with and had a range of lovely dive sites to choose from. We made good use of the spa and had fantastic Philippine massages from experienced masseurs. And ... to top it all ... the food was “to die for”. The chef had a wide range of mouthwatering dishes to choose from each day and she really knows how to make the most awesome deserts ! I’ll miss them greatly ! We got chatting to lots of other guests and make new diving friends here. A tip for others considering Dolphin House ... the journey from Cebu airport is only c.60 miles but the roads are very busy and you have to cross the hills to the other side of the island. Our journey took 3.5 hours but, when planning our trip, we had contacted the Dolphin House team and they offered us their service to collect us from the airport and take us back at the end of our holiday. It was well worth the peace of mind. Make sure you allow 3-4 hours for your transfer to/from the airport and you’ll have enough time. Really noticeably, all the staff at Dolphin House were lovely, very helpful and friendly. We had a great
- Mark (6/5): Nice at day, boring at night - Positives: Service is very friendly. Some even went out of their way to learn our names early on and use them throughout our stay. Everyone greets you and calls you sir/Madame, even the gardeners. Food is good and fresh, but a little slow at times. You do need to order in advance for dinner and there isn’t anywhere else to eat, but the menu is extensive and changes everyday. Local area is limited for things to do. There’s no beach directly outside the hotel (you have to travel a bit) but the snorkelling is good. There are more restaurants and bars about 25 minutes away on a tricycle. You can get trips to the waterfalls and island hopping/snorkelling but I’d recommend talking to tricycle drivers about this as they are cheaper than the hotel offers them. Negatives: Boredom at night... the WiFi is spotty throughout the resort except the bar. With no WiFi in the room, no cell coverage in the room no TV in the room and no entertainment outside, it made for some very boring nights. That being said, many of the excursions are early in the morning so you’ll probably end up having early nights. But if you do like to spend several hours each night watching TV or flicking through social media, then you might want to consider somewhere else. Personally, the time allowed me to catch up on my reading but my wife was pretty bored. This is the only reason I’ve given the hotel a lower rating.

We just don’t like the CR no bidet and the food is delicious but expensive. The staff very friendly and accommodating.
- Julia (10/5): beautiful oasis on a great dive/snorkel reef - Dolphin House was a beautiful oasis on a gorgeous house reef. The resort has multiple areas set up for guests to sit, enjoy the views (whether of the water or the pool) and relax. The dive shop was well organized and professional. Your first dive will be a "welcome dive" on the house reef and after that you can extend to other local sites such as Pescador Island and the Sardine run. The house reef also makes for great snorkeling. Neighboring White Beach was a local hangout and not as inviting as I had anticipated, but between the house reef and the pool, there was not much need to venture out. There menu wasn't extensive, but there were always at least several appealing options. And the drinks were yummy. The wifi wasn't perfect, but worked ok. And the rooms had AC, which was a big plus for sleeping. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend the Dolphin House to those staying in Moalboal. Do note that the hotel is opposed to the whale shark tours and will not help you make those arrangements. (I won't comment on that, but look it up for yourself).

- Wanchi (8/5): 美麗但偏遠的地方 - 服務人員很客氣，但服務時間太短，飯店離機場太遠，又碰到交通不好，花了五小時才到，晚上八點多，櫃檯已經下班，所以找了一下才有人拿鑰匙來，餐廳也休息了，地處偏遠沒地方吃。早上十一點的飛機，五點要離開，所以前一晚要check out ,刷卡要加3%，之後點的東西，必須用現金付。餐廳吧枱可以點的東西不多。但旅館外，只要走路出去就可以潛水，非常棒，老闆說這裡是這一帶最高級的飯店，我相信是。別期望太高，相信可以玩得很開心！

- Verified traveler (8/5): Tolles Resort! - Wir waren anfangs etwas skeptisch, da uns der Preis dieses Resorts etwas zu hoch erschien und die Bilder nicht sehr überzeugend waren. Auf Empfehlung von Freunden haben wir dann doch zwei Nächte gebucht und waren direkt begeistert! Die Anlage ist sehr groß, schön und gepflegt. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war sauber und die Ausstattung auch gut. Sehr gut gefiel uns auch, dass das Resort sehr viel Wert auf die Umwelt gelegt hat. Wären die Preise noch ein bisschen niedriger, würden wir das nächste Mal auch länger bleiben.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth the money, pro's and con's - FIRST: MUST HAVE A CAR HERE, DO NOT COME BY TAXI!!!! YOU NEED IT 100% do not make the mistake!! When my girlfriend and I arrived we thought the area was very beautiful, But: Cons: 1) when we arrived in the room, there was a lizard doing a jog around the walls, tip: close the cracks in the ceiling, because thats where he ran out of. 2) the "good" wifi was in the bar about 50 meters away. After a long day of relaxing, I didn't feel like walking 50 meters and sitting at the bar while getting bit by mosquito's.. tip: have more wifi routers, its 2017.. they are not that expensive. 3) I saw that the ocean was on the edge of the property, so i thought to myself oh why dont I go to the beach, there is no beach, there is just stones. One of the workers told me that if i walk along the stone about 70 meters I would reach "white beach" if i remember the name correctly, absolute disaster, it looked like a dump, there was rancid coconut shells, and the amount of fly's was unimaginable in quantity. DO NOT I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO THE "BEACH" extremely disappointing. 4) As you arrive on the property, you see a sign out front "50% off on arrival". So basically if I didn't make the reservation I would pay half the price, awesome thank you. 5) had the omelette breakfast, it was a bit raw, asked to put it on for a bit longer to cook... What do they do, make me a new one... the SAME exact thing happened, TWO breakfasts in a row. Was literally 3 tables, took 30 minutes to make an omelette.

- H (10/5): Excellent diving resort - We had an amazing time at this hotel. The hotel has an amazing house reef which is excellent for diving & snorkeling. It is probably better than a lot of the islands you can visit nearby. The staff at the hotel are all very helpful. The diving centre was very professional and the massage service was very good. If you are looking for a relaxing hotel at a quality hotel, this is the one.
- Cindy (4/5): Schöne Lage, aber das Geld nicht wert - Das Hotel befindet sich direkt am Meer. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es schöne Korallenriffe zum Schnorcheln. Das Zimmer ist einfach ausgestattet, ohne Fernseher und leider auch ohne WLAN im Zimmer (WLAN eigentlich nur in der Rezeption) Das Frühstück war klein und die süßen- und frischen Lebensmittel übersäht mit Fruchtfliegen und Ameisen, weil es keine Kühlung oder Insektenschutz gibt. Der Rest der Anlage ist sehr schön, aber insgesamt erwartet man für 150€ p.P. Pro Nacht doch einiges mehr in einem 5* Hotel. Ich würde das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen, da man in der Nähe für viel weniger Geld den selben Standard haben kann.

- Victor (4/5): Preis-Leisung in keinem Verhältnis - schade! - Ich vermute die 5 Sterne hat sich das Hotel selber verliehen. Zuerst offerierte man mir das wohl kleinst Mögliche Zimmer und erst als ich auf die Erfüllung meines bestellten, bestätigten und bezahlten Standard bestand, erheilt ich es dann auch. Allerdings wurde in der Folge von Seiten der Leitung nicht mehr mit mir gesprochen. Insbesondere der Standard im Badezimmer vermag nie die Erwartungen an einen 5 Sterne Betrieb erfüllen. Das Badetuch war nach der morgendlichen Dusche unbrauchbar für den Rest des Tages - zu ausgekocht (wo ist nur die Baumwolle geblieben) und die Produkte zur Körperpflege haben in 400ml Flaschen lediglich mittelmässigen chemische Warenhausqualität. Das steht im Widerspruch zur sonst vertetenen Philosophie des Hauses - Schützt die Umwelt .. Aus diesem Grund werden auch keine Plastikflaschen mit Trinkwasser aufgefüllt, man muss für 250 Pesos Aluflaschen kaufen in denen man dann kostenlos Trinkwasser erhält. Für Taucher ist das Haus sicher sehr geeignet - für Nichttaucher überhaupt nicht. Die Ausflüge sind fast alle auf die Taucher ausgerichtet. Will man ins nahegeleg Eine Dorf muss man einen Fahrer (Trike) bestellen der mindestens 250 Pesos kostet. Dabei wird unverhohlen darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass das ein Turistenpreis ist. Positiv hervorzuheben sind die Küche und das Servierpersonal - wahre Profis!
- B.M (8/5): gepflegtes Hotel für Taucher - waren als Taucherpärchen 16 Tage im März 2016 da. Für Taucher mit tollem Hausriff ideal. Alle weiteren Tauchspots in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Leider wurde die Tauchbasis von einem sehr motivationslosem Basisleiter geführt. Die Tauchguides waren jedoch super. WICHTIG! Wer in dieses Hotel fährt, darf nicht zu den Walhaien nach Oslob gehen, da man sonst aus dem Hotel geschmissen wird.

- wjala (6/5): be prepared to pay - the hotel charges for everything double or triple price. For example you can get a high quality massage in the city for 300p, in the hotel it will cost you 1000p. Food is ok-ish
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great for couples - Very long ride from airport, five hour avg by bus, 1 1/2 by taxi but costly. Arrived very late in evening, hotel shut down, no food available and had to back to a town to eat. Great diving and ocean views.
- Aidan (8/5): Good break! - I only spent one night but it was a very pleasant stay. It's perfect if you dive (I didn't) and as a couple. The service was slow but the evening dinner menu was lovely. The pool area needs updating and there is no beach with full tide.
