• HITOMI (10/5): とても良いホテル♪ - ホテルの送迎付きにしました！空港からも近いです！飛行機が予定より早く着き、迎えの車が来てなくて探していたら、一人のタクシー運転手に、君のホテルは遠いからホテルの送迎は来れないよ！だから僕が送ってあげる！と言われ不安になりましたが、5分後くらいにちゃんと迎えが来ました…笑 騙されないようにして下さい^_^; ホテルは予約後のメール対応も早く、到着後のスタッフの対応も素晴らしかったです。Eバイクをホテルで借りて、辺りを観光しました！ホテルの食事も美味しかったです！レストランは屋外でディナーの時途中で蚊が気になって部屋で食べてもいいか？と聞くと快く運んでくれました！誰もがフレンドリーですごく気持ちよく滞在できました！お部屋も広く綺麗に清掃されていたし大満足でした(^^)

• silvia (4/5): Not worth the money-too many mistakes/problems - The grounds of this hotel are wonderful but everything else is not- Food is sub-par, weak english spoken at property, they forgot our 4am alarm to go on our Balloon ride, never delivered water we requested 3 times among a few things- Lighting in room is dim at best, pillows are not comfortable. The shower and Air conditioning are very good though. Bartenders were also wonderful. Getting transportation from the hotel to Old Bagan took a while and then they always wanted to charge us in dollars -three times the amount of a regular taxi- WIFI was intermittent. Stay somewhere else.

• Chan (10/5): Oasis in the dessert - Bagan is very hot during my stay. But once I stepped in the room, it feels like entering an oasis. The room was very nice and comfortable. Toilet is spacious and clean where I can enjoy a hot bath from the bathtub. Room is exoctic and nicely decorated. Overall is a nice stay. Just one minute walk from the hotel is a small pagoda with a Buddha statue of a very kind face. A pleasant surprise!
• Verified traveler (8/5): 悪くはないんだけど… - 悪くは無いと思います。 立地は少し遺跡から離れますが（車で15分程度）車での移動と考えるとあまり気になりませんでした。（バガン自体コンビニなど何もないので、そもそも便利な場所というのは存在しないと思います。） こちらのホテルはスタッフの方の愛想がよく、対応に関しては気持ちよく過ごせました。 マイナスポイントとしては、バスルームのお湯が途中出なくなったこと、部屋が滞在中ずっと湿気っぽかったこと、ディナーではオーダーしたものが材料がなく作ってもらえなかっなこと（客は私達だけ）朝食が残念だったことです。 けれど、ミャンマーであることを加味すると我慢できる範囲でしたし、結果的にここで良かったのかなと思います。 色々書きましたが、悪いホテルでは無いと思います！

Les lodges sont très élégantes et très bien équipées (il manque une moustiquaire). Les jardins sont vastes et magnifiquement tenus. Les deux belles piscines sont bien complémentaires. Le point faible est le petit déjeuner qui reste trop basique pour la Birmanie, avec une qualité assez moyenne.
• GB (8/5): Wonderful lodge, but let down by its restaurant. - My daughter and l very much enjoyed our stay at Bagan Lodge. The grounds and pool are absolutely beautiful. The rooms very spacious and comfortable. However the restaurant let’s the lodge down. If you do decide to eat there, try the mutton curry.

• Rabia (10/5): Really nice experience - Bagan lodge propose un envrionnement local, en pleine immersion dans le parc et non loin des temples (20mn d'Ananda temple en e-bike). La pisicine est super chaude, très agréable après avoir passé la journée en vadrouille aux abords des temples ou en visite. Le personnel est très agréable, toujours souriants, à l'écoute. Je recommande tout à fait l'emplacement sans hésiter.

This is the low season and they offer late check-out before we requested. The room is very clean with all amenities. It is really spacious for three adults! We hired a car to travel around and the driver took us to different locations (even not on the map of Bagan) where we could take great photos! We really enjoyed our stay at Bagan Lodge!!!

Le personnel du restaurant ne comprend pas grand chose et l’attente des plats est trop longue. Nous allions manger à l’hotel AMATA qui est très proche . Si vous voulez vous déplacer il faut louer un e bike (Le village est à 5 mn en e bike ) BIEN VÉRIFIER L’e bike car nous avons frôlé l’accident car nous avons déjanté ( le pneu arrière était mal fixé sur la jante) INADMISSIBLE !!!

Breakfast got tedious, though good quality. The restaurant prices are about ten times what you would pay at nicer local (authentic) restaurants.

• scott (10/5): Excellent except the restaurant - Bagan lodge is a five star hotel but what knocks it down a notch is their lackluster restaurant. The grounds, rooms, pool, and spa are all excellent. You can easily rent ebikes through the hotel for the day to explore Bagan. However, the restaurant is trying to do too much (the menu is huge and divided into taste of asia, taste of India, taste of america, taste of Italy, etc) and when you try to cook all of these types of cuisines nothing comes out well unfortunately. But everything else about the resort is fantastic.

And as much as we absolutely loved Bagan itself, coming back to the lodge was such a relaxing and comfortable oasis. The rooms, pool, and grounds are just splendid. Would highly recommend and come back.
• Jon (10/5): An all around superb property. - I've stayed in dozens of hotels through Hotels.com and confess I tend to mostly rate those that i like. That being said, I want to voice a strong recommendation for the Bagan Lodge due to its extraordinary design features, superb maintenance, and excellent staff. The rooms (villas) are expansive and have plenty of room for reading, desk work, or conversation. If weather permits, the large outside porches are a bonus. The morning breakfast is as hearty as you want it to be, and the evening meals are prepared to nearly perfection. If you want to try a new cocktail at the poolside bar, take a chance with the Bagan Sunset, or something like that. This is a splendid property, fairly priced, and will be a nice complement to your trip to Bagan.

Staff is outstanding and the hotel looks amazing, it's an oasis of peace. If you want to rest in a quiet, lovely environment, it's the perfect spot for you. Highly appreciated after visiting the whole day. The breakfast is great, all of us (French, British and Chinese) could have our favourite breakfast food. The wifi was not the fastest but well you are in Myanmar. We did not use the hotel services for visiting Bagan, we went with PromisedLand Bagan (check on FB) and these guys are absolutely fantastic, local brothers, born and raised in Bagan, who took care of us and prepared the best itinerary ever possible for our 4 days in Bagan!

Biggest issue is the reception staff that is very poorly trained and totally unreliable. The also managed to loose our reservation and made us wait for close to 1 hour in 40 c heat...

All staff are attentive, courteous, fluent in English, and well trained. The facilities and grounds were well maintained and immaculate. Excellent food, and an outstanding breakfast buffet. • radim (10/5): The best place in Bagan - Absolutely fabulous place with VERY good restaurant. This place is marketed as 4 stars but with level of services, it can qualify for 5 stars. Absolutely fabulous staff and management. Due to Expedia error, they overcharged me, but the staff found the error and brought the refund to the airport! Absolutely attentive staff. Only disadvantage is that it is far away from New Bagan, so if you want to sample other restaurants, you need to get taxi or have other means of transport. But the hotels restaurant has excellent food. Pricey for Myanmar, but you get western level of service for 25% it would cost in Thailand or HongKong.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Don't bother looking elsewhere. - This was by far and away the best hotel we experienced during our travels across southeast Asia. Everything from the room to the hotel staff was perfect. They made our stay such a highlight that we never wanted to leave. Their staff was extremely helpful in planning a leisurely drive from Mandalay Airport to Bagan. The location was conveniently outside New Bagan and close to all the temples and sights. Loved it!

If you don't ride a motorcycle or scooter however - prepare to constanrly book taxis, as its proximity to the city isn't conducive to travelling on feet

• Leslie (10/5): Left my Heart in Bagan! - This is totally once of the most amazing hotels I've ever been in all my travels. Aside from appreciating the breathtaking beauty of Bagan, I also fell in love with the ambience and comfort of Bagan Lodge which was situated perfectly and tucked completely away from the hustle and bustle. It resembles one of my South African travels where the rooms are "Safari" type with the tensile structure roofing and spacious, also opulent. Furniture and bathroom fixtures are cohesive with the overall theme of the hotel. I completely appreciate the porch area, and the his and hers sink. The swimming pool is lovely as well. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends and I promise also to come back to Bagan and stay longer in this wonderful and amazing hotel!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great hotel in new Bagan - The hotel is a bit isolated in New Bagan. Yet the environment and atmosphere is really relaxing and make you feel at home. The lady at the reception there is smart and remember the guests activities. Their recommendation of the restaurants in New Bagan are good ones and there is a small market (a mini local store that you can get alcohol, mosquito spray and some basic necessities. Recommend this hotel.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great place to stay to see the temples. - The hotel is new. It is a series of very spacious rooms with his and her sinks. Breakfast was great. The staff was very very helpful. The staff at the front desk was helpful in arranging in country transportations, directions to the temples and the best temples for the sunset. All staff that I dealt with from the reception, manager, restaurant staff and maintenance staff understood and spoke English vet well which is unusual in SE Asia. Only compliant is all facilities are open, except for the pool and the room no place to escape the mid-day heat. Thee bikes available at the hotel are the only way to see the temples!

It's not super close to restaurants, etc., so we did take a car from the hotel to dinner a couple of nights, which was maybe a bit more expensive than it should be, but not bad. They have ebikes there that you can rent to go around town. All in all, a great place. Would definitely stay here again.

• maria (10/5): Beautiful oasis amongst the temples and pagodas - I recently stayed at the Bagan lodge for two nights with my mother and sister. We couldn't have been more pleased with the service and hospitality of the employees at Bagan lodge. They provided the airport shuttle service and were very helpul in suggesting an excellent tour guide ( Lin ) to take us around the temples on our first day by car. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. The bikes were an excellent option as well on our second day. The rooms are spacious. We had 2 single beds and requested a rollway and we had plenty of room! Breakfast was excellent. The place is very serene and peaceful and the staff's friendly attitude adds to the charm!

• Chadwick (6/5): Unrealized potential - On paper, the Bagan Lodge was a dream. A rustic, safari-lodge-like setting with large, well-appointed rooms in close proximity to the Bagan pagodas. In reality, while the hotel has much potential, the grounds, common spaces, pool area, etc. all feel random and poorly put together (think: pool in Myanmar with pool-side sculptures from Italy decorated for Christmas with gigantic white sleigh and reindeer). The overall decor was flat and overly busy, the rooms lack anything to evoke Bagan or even Myanmar culture, the breakfast buffet was middling, the cocktails were not great, water was not free, and staff were always running after me with a bill to sign. In addition, the extensive gardens were lush which does not match the local landscape at all. In sum, the hotel lacked a vision or common theme. I would not recommend this hotel under its current management but I do think it has immense potential. It simply needs someone who can help mind the details that make a hotel memorable; at present, it is not.
• Joseph (10/5): Fantastic place to stay in Bagan - Wow, what an oasis in Bagan. Huge, clean rooms, good wifi, awesome food at all hours of the day (incl great breakfast buffet), very friendly staff, nice pool, and more. They were very helpful in lining up things like taxis, ebikes, and also on helping us navigate the map of Bagan and which temples to see. Also the location is on the edge of New Bagan so it is by itself a bit - peaceful and quiet - not loud and dusty at all. Not the cheapest place, but definitely worth the price. One negative was our room had mosquitos in it when we arrived. But the room has bug spray which I used to kill them. And plus once we got the AC going, I never saw a mosquito after that :)
• Globaltrotter88 (10/5): Best in Bagan - If you are looking for modern comfort in a safari lodge setting, this is the best in the area. The Hotel pictures does not show itself well. Every room is an individual lodge by itself. It is spacious with sitting area, patio area with couches and modern spacious bathrooms with amenities. The hotel is less than 2 years old and is kept in mint condition. Restaurant is clean and open air with cover.
