Centrally located within walking distance distance to the basar etc. shops right in front including super market Honestly, possibly worst “Hilton” I h e stayed in and doesn’t deserve the Hilton name. Found hotel and room run down and not worth the money. Breakfast was absolutely abysmal! Not even worth half the price they charge. Even an Ibis hotel has better breakfast and more choice than the Hilton here. Would not stay there again. Pool is tiny (more like a large whirlpool). My window wouldn’t close, toilet barely flushed… asked to have things fixed 3 times - it never happened.

- 122ishs (2/5): Very let down by DoubleTree Izmir - I was really disappointed with my stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Izmir. The toilets had an unpleasant smell throughout our visit, which made the room uncomfortable. The facilities and overall look of the room were not the same as shown online the photos gave a much better impression than what we actually experienced. When we raised our concerns with the staff at reception, the response was very dismissive. The member of staff we spoke to seemed uninterested and offered no real help or solution, which made the situation even more frustrating. For a Hilton brand hotel, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and customer service. Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to expectations.

We were relaxing around the pool area today and noticed cleaners moving sun beds and furniture. We were asked to leave by the cleaners as there was a wedding !!! We asked where we could go and sit ? My self and another couple went to Reception to speak to the manager to find out why we had not Been told this ! The receptionist said there was a notice on the reception desk, unless you were going to reception you wouldn’t have took Aby notice of this. We were told to take a seat and the Manager would be with us in 15 mins this was at 2pm it’s now 15:32 pm no manager. I am disgusted !!!

- DilinggerJ (10/5): Good value from all the entire for the stay, no regrets to choose - Good service from front desk, specially the guy( I’m forget his name) he’s arrange last minute our privet tour to Ephesus, and FnD service, they are really warm welcome to us, a lot of choice food breakfast, we order burger from room services, they deliver so fast and the test is so good, and we had dinner as well in the rooftop restaurant the view, the food and the service really very good, thanks to chef OLAY, he drive the team so well, hope I come back again next time to stay at doubletree hilton Izmir alsancak.

All of the staff is smiling and welcoming you at reception at restaurant when you arrive and when you are leaving the hotel. - jashwinm (8/5): Very well located Hotel in Izmir - We traveled with 2 adults and 2 teens, I had to book 2 rooms, as rooms only can take 3 quests, both superior rooms but the kids room had 2 queen beds and was bigger than ours which had 1 queen bed, I can understand why 4 guest can't stay in the large room.Hotel has everything you need, close to all the sight, markets and Amusement park. Nice food places near hotel and hotel has good restaurant with view of the city from the roof top
- 881gk (10/5): Nice hotel but basic - We stayed to celebrate our anniversary. Hotel is conveniently located in a very touristy area yet is quite and has good noise control. Hotel is clean and has a couple of places to eat. Outside you will find great restaurants or quick eats even quite late. However during winter town is dead by 7 pm except for some restaurants. It was walkable to major tourists attractions so we did not take a cab anywhere and the farthest we went was 2.2 miles but walking is a delight and didn’t even notice how much we walked. Room: comfortable with clean and very comfortable bedding and bathroom. There is a small fridge in the room along with an iron which is rare to see outside USA. Coffee could have been better. Room was hot so turned off heat and kept the windows open ( it opened around 6 inches). I used my travel portable fan to have comfortable sleep. There was slippers and bathrobe which I noticed when we were leaving. There is a safe which I didn’t know about as it is in a corner which I mistook for decorative wall covering. 😀 Mr. Ali, hotel manager was awesome. He helped us sort out our booking and helped us find a rental car and provided some great advise which was very much appreciated. If I go to Izmir next time, I will stay at this hotel because of him. Receptionist staff was also very welcoming along with the person at the entrance. Cons: very hot rooms, far from airport, taxis are very expensive. It is definitely not a luxury hotel and we had view of water if we looked hard on the side.

- MarieNeiges125 (6/5): Nice but needs some improvements - We spent two nights at this hotel. It is well located, so you can walk around and visit the city. The rooms were spacious. Bed and pillows were comfortable, but there were no featherless hypoallergenic pillows. Also, rooms had carpets, so for those with allergies, this may be an issue. The dining room was fine (nothing special), with issues with the AC (some areas were very cold). It offered a good selection of International and Turkish items. However, there was no food service on the terrace (it has a great view of the city). Buffet breakfast was on another floor, and they offered a lovely selection of Turkish dishes. Employees were friendly.

- Paul (6/5): Hotel needs renovation. - A welcoming member of staff checked me in quickly and valet parking was free . Everything looked fine until entering the bathroom . The latch on the door didn’t work , the bottom of the door was falling apart . The shower was difficult to use as water cascaded onto the floor . It was so run down I got the room changed . The hotel is in desperate need of a renovation and was not worth the 140 odd USD to stay there. There are plenty of better hotels at a similar price . Won’t stay again .
- 184marcusm (2/5): I would never walk in this hotel again. - This is absolutely the worst experience I had in my years of traveling. Literally the first time I walked out of any hotel. The Hotel was dishonest and their room is very dated. They gave me a smoking room and claimed that they are full, despite I took screen shots of the Hilton App, and showing them that they are selling 4 categories of rooms for the same night. They lied. Needless to say they didn’t honor my request for an upgrade based on my Frequent Guest Status benefits. I showed the screen shots to the Front Desk Lady and she claimed that none of the rooms are available even though it was already 8pm at night. The front desk lady told me that I just needed to sign the form since I am getting a “ big room.” However, based on the floor plan posted on the door, I was actually given one of the smallest room with an odd L-shaped hallway corner room. Unaware that I received a smoking room, I went upstairs and into the room. Immediately I noticed the strong odor of cigarette smoke. From inside the room, I ended up calling Hilton Desk in the US for assistance. The Hilton Team was able to speak to the hotel directly and at first, the Hotel Front Desk continued to claim that they are full. After insisting that I get a non-smoking room, then suddenly another room on the 9th floor became available. But by then, after being in a smoking room and on the phone with Hilton Desk for 30 minutes, the dust and the smoke irritants triggered my allergies. I started having runny nose and I ended up requesting the Hilton Desk to intervene and cancel my stay. There is absolutely no view from the room. The furniture and decor is very outdated. There are plenty of options 5-7 minutes walk away such as The Renaissance or the Swissotel. I would never stay at this location. Do not spend your money here.

- Jean (4/5): Not good enough! - Let's be honest, for what you pay, you should expect more from the facilities. Breakfast was good, enough options. Staff was friendly all the time. Restaurant is good. Very overrated: Facilities are old, and you can sometimes feel that smell, maybe from the carpets. Price is too high for what you get. The swimming pool is very small, and there is not even a sun umbrella outside when it is 40°C. The gym is very, very limited. The worst was that I forgot some clothes in the room and after calling them, on the same day of my check out, they told me that there was nothing there. I contacted the customer service and after almost 2 months, still waiting for an answer.

In the morning, about 7:30am, we woke up with loud noises if doors being closed, banging and furniture move. Went out and saw cleaning lady is just opening the doors and banging things around. I said, could you please be quiet, she said sorry no English. 🤷🏿♂️ For the money we paid, little too much to put up with.

- Melanie (4/5): Not what we expected - A friend and I went travelling and wanted to use this Hilton as a base for day trips out to Pammukkale etc, so as friends ordered a twin room with a kitchen. The listing said it included a fridge, freezer, microwave etc and we could see pictures so felt fairly confident it would have this, oh and yes separate beds. We arrived pretty late and the staff were friendly and polite (and yes we recieved a warm cookie on arrival) and went up to our room. Firstly it wasn't as expected, they'd given us a normal hotel double and we were too tired to do anything about it but it did really put us out. The 'spa' was quite a small area downstairs and on our second day we recieved a few phone calls to our room asking us if we wanted treatments with a discount... we gave it a go. The 'spa' area is in essence a sauna, steam room and shower. Which is fine. Then there is the turkish hammam which is in all the photos. We had the turkish bath (again friends.....) together and it was excruciatingly embarrassing we were both scrubbed EVERYWHERE! but it was a good experience and not to be missed. They did offer us some quite good discounts for shorter services and the spa treatments were really good. I didn't notice any hairs on the bed or dirt, I thought it was quite a clean space. The wifi was decent for our uses, checking flights watching movies etc. Also the staff were very good at helping us with general tasks, printing boarding passes and even arranging to have my coat dry cleaned as it had gotten soaking wet on a day tour. There are two restaurants, breakfast is served in the lower floor, which is a shame as the rooftop one is beautiful but was completely empty when we went up there one evening. Noise - I know a lot of people talk about noise but I thought it was quieter than expected, i could hear the neighbours, their alarm in the morning but not much else. Traffic noise is fine with windows shut. Ok so better signposting to let people know the pool is closed over winter (it is quite a small rooftop pool). Probably getting the room right would be good too. Clarifying what a 'kitchen' is would be great - we had a 'minibar' which only just kept food cold and a kettle. So floor 2 is a smoking floor and did noticably smell of cigarettes. Our floor (7) was better. And as others have pointed out the AC was ridiculous, the room was stifflingly hot and even though you set the AC to cool it would inevitably switch itself over to hot after a while, usually while you were asleep and didn't notice. (Probably a user error). If there was an 'average' box I'd put breakfast in there, we were really tired and hadn't slept much so probably didn't take it in but I was really looking forward to all the different bits they have, but it was all a bit bland, they do offer to make you an ommlette on the spot, but I didn't really want to talk to anyone so didn't try this. The staff were really helpful and friendly while we ate, asking about our plans helping us with drinks to the table etc. On our last day in Turkey we had an excellent taxi driver who used an app called 'sayhi' to talk to us it was brilliant - I wish the staff had used this because it did often feel like we were talking at cross purposes. Highly recommend the app if you don't speak turkish.
- Ozalp (10/5): Home away from home! - I have always preferred the brand Hilton for the quality of the service and the properties. I have stayed at this property more than 25 years ago - was new - and I have to admit, the environment was still the same; friendly and professional even after two decades. The staff members were nice young people willing to do their best and make each guest feel like home. The General Manager Mr Ali was our favorite one for having the patience to deal with my family members. I admire the patience and professionalism Mr Ali had and would like to thank him for making my family's stay memorable. Our only address in the province is the Hilton Alsancak and hereby, I'd like to thank you all.
- Malcolm (10/5): Excellent Izmir city hotel - Fabulous small hotel centrally located in excellent part of Izmir and near to the many facilities at the sea. The room with side window and views on level 6 was very good quality and comfort with openable windows and effective heating. On the roof top is a fabulous sun platform and outdoor pool and restaurant with city and sea views. The breakfast is fabulous,

- Anonymous (5/5): Not value for money… - It was clean and fairly modern. Staff was wonderful - nothing beats Turkish hospitality. The location, size of the room was small, the hairdryer didn’t work, there was no milk in the fridge…these small things that make all the difference.
- Sarah (10/5): - I Had such a very lovely stay & I was a lone, single American. Woke up to inexpensive wonderful Room Service, everything so fresh & would order tea & dessert in evening in the room. They even delivered a beautiful cake on my birthday. I felt very safe & walked to the Bazaar, clock tower, Pier waterfront, shops & restaurants. I just kept situational awareness. I tripped once on street & 3 men happened to be right there (2 in uniform like security) & they insisted in helping me up, seated me at cafe & got me a tea. I felt so cared for. Front desk so kind & taxis always waiting. Wonderful stay!!

- Uthmaan (6/5): Comfortable stay but needs attention for a Hilton Hotel - Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Place was generally clean. Easy access to the metro bus. Roughly a 2 min walk from the hotel and Izmir Karts are on sale right outside the hotel at one of the shops. Shower water wasn't hot. Spoke to reception and nothing was done about it. First day our rooms weren't made and amenities weren't replaced. Pool is out of order until March next year (not sure why). Middle lift never took me to my floor on multiple occasions. Lighting in the rooms were very bad. Cigarette smell was coming through the air ducts into my room.
