- Anthony (4/5): I would give this hotel a 1 star rating due to the aforementioned items previously listed. - Easy on/off access to the freeway…close to dining only. The parking was horrendous and the property itself was dirty and unkempt. The room lacked the basic amenities normally found in most motel 6 properties (microwave & refrigerator). This was an older Motel 6 and I’m sure the owners made good faith attempts to ensure an inviting, pleasant stay at the hotel. However, I recommend they get together with their housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure a quality room. Specifically, my assigned room (119) had no hot water in the sink faucet and the drain was clogged rendering the sink unusable. The bathroom wall (lower right corner of the door frame) needed to be repaired/repainted because of peeling. The heater did not work properly. The only ice machine was down in the lobby area (not in close proximity to the majority of most of the rooms.

This place gives off the feeling of pay by the hour The ad on the website says “queen bed, refrigerator, microwave” yet I walk in and a I’ve got a full bed, no refrigerator and no microwave. Let alone the tv is missing from the wall. Turned around and walked out. Requested a refund

We usually choose Motel 6 because we travel with our small dog. we understand that Motel 6 is not a five star resort, but we DO expect to have a clean room and a semi-comfortable bed. We were in room number 101 last weekend. The room had an odor, floors were dirty, and the bed was terribly uncomfortable. The odor was not a pet odor. It was like an old dusty room may have come from the heater. After getting water from the shower on the floor, I used a towel which became black from wiping the floor. In my opinion, that is unsanitary. We could’ve asked to change the room, but we didn’t discover the problems because we checked in late. Dirty floors in lobby area and walkway outside rooms.

- GEOFFREY (5/5): Perfect Shuttle Spot - Good location for catching the early morning Central Coast shuttle. Easy walk to several fast food restaurants. Price was comparable to area others. However, amenities were not. No microwave, no in-room coffee, and no shampoo nor lotion. Room was not clean - hair on towels and on floor.

The floor needed a good cleaning you could see the spots from dog pee on it. The smell was overwhelming so we left a day early and went elsewhere.

- Keely (10/5): Highly recommend!! - The room was literally perfect and super clean. I wasn’t expecting much, especially for the price point (good deal), and I was very pleasantly surprised. Usually Motel 6 are hit or miss, but this one hit it out of the park. Good area and super close to Solvang (like a 5-10min drive) if you want a cheaper option to stay at. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful and I would recommend this location to anybody. It was quiet and peaceful the whole time, although apparently we missed the rush the weekend before! Plenty of stores and food within walking distance which is nice. ALSO, THE TACO PLACE ACROSS THE STREET (California Taco, not Taco Bell lol) is so good, you gotta try it. Thanks to Motel 6 in Buellton for the amazing stay, we’ll be back for sure !

- Susan (1/5): Down and Out in Buelton - If you're offered Room 100, ground floor, DON'T take it. The room and bathroom were old and dingy, and because of this, it didn't feel clean. The furnace/AC had a big piece of plastic broken off. Where it was plugged in looked a bit strange... like there were problems with the plug and outlet in the past. The bed was very uncomfortable, no blankets, and the bottom bed sheet was on inside out. The room had a TV and free wifi, but all in all it was a stark, dreary room. There was nothing comfortable about it. On the bright side, the staff was pleasant.
