- Chris (8/5): I enjoyed not paying $300 to stay in a similar room elsewhere in Carpinteria. - It was easy to check in and the staff were very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Pretty quiet in general, except for the freeway. The TV had a reasonable set of channels available. The location is a little difficult because it is right across a road from the freeway, and a lot of noise comes from there. Fortunately, my room wasn't right in the front, but still caught a fair amount of noise.

- Natalia (1/5): - On a positive note, the room itself was fairly clean. This was a terrible experience. The hotel is located right next to the highway, and because of the constant noise, I couldn’t sleep at all during the night. The soundproofing is practically nonexistent. Additionally, my room had a very strong smell of cigarettes. Since I checked in late, I didn’t have the energy to ask for a different room, which I later regretted. As a result, I barely got any sleep.

- Peter (10/5): I think it was awesome for the price point! - The location! It was literally by the freeway and there were gas stations and convenience stores that were pretty close. AC was cold and they provided more than enough towels and toiletries. Front desk staff was very friendly as well and let us check in 10 mins before check in time. Rates was really low considering it was just a 10 min drive from Santa Barbara The pillows werent the most comfortable, but I can't really ask for the moon at their price point.

- Elyse (9/5): - The bed frame went out too far, my daughter kept hurting her legs on it. The soap was very cheap and there wasnt any in the room, we had to leave the room to ask, when I tried to call for more towels I was left on hold for more than 20 mins.

- Kevin (3/5): Extremely unpleasant due to unaddressed cigarette smoke in our rooms. - Good location, relatively cheap Our room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke to the point where it was making us cough and have irritated throats. This room was clearly labeled as a non-smoking room. When we let the front desk know about it, they said that they couldn’t move us to another room because they were booked out and that deodorizing it wasn’t an option because it was late. Basically they couldn’t help us. We attempted to ventilate the room ourselves by opening the window and running the fan, but the smoke smell didn’t dissipate all the way. The room was made up when we got there so it’s inconceivable that the smoke was not noticed, and they assigned us to there anyway.

It could be great if they were able to upgrade the amenities around swimming pool area. Refreshing curtains for the showers and windows it’s needed.
- Richard (1/5): It sucked. - The shower pan had sand in it even though it was just cleaned when we moved in. The rate was 200.00 a night for a pitiful room. The hotel in on the freeways and the noise was beyond sleeping. the person in 125 was arrested with sheriffs pounding on doors at 3:00 am.. No maid serfvice and even the towels were not replaced. Beds are unfortable. and room is very small. A very sad choice for $200.00 a night. Never again at motel 6.
