- Thomas (4/5): - Listen, I get it: for the price you don’t expect the Ritz. But is it too much to ask for wi-fi, or a person at a front desk to go to and ask questions? The “coffee” served out of pump thermoses should be outlawed by the Geneva Conventions. The place was clean, but just weirdly laid out. The bathroom fan rattled like a Huey shot down over Vietnam. Half of the hotel was under construction, but the whole place felt this way. It was shelter. No more, no less.

Slow Fridge was dirty Thin walls, can hear people walking around the halls and floor above. Front recepton had nice people though. Its a place where youd sleep.. Pricey also.

- Philip (8/5): Azul stay in San Simeon - It was a nice place to stay; the bed was comfortable and the location to go to Hearst Castle was perfect. The only downside was the renovations that was happening at the facility but didn’t interfere what we had planned. The staff were very courteous and friendly.
- Kerry L. (10/5): Nice stay at an economy hotel that accepts dogs. - The hotel is under new management and the lobby is being remodeled. It did not affect our stay which was fine for our weekend stay. Very happy that Azul Inn San Simeon accepts owners with a dog.

- Christian (5/5): Für eine Nacht als Roadstopp ok, mehr leider nicht. - Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Personal sehr nett und bemüht. Das Hotel gehört nicht mehr zur Motel 6 Gruppe. Leider ist es momentan eine Großbaustelle. Der Flügel in dem sonst die Rezeption ist wird kernsaniert. Momentan gibt es nur einen Hotelflügel der in Betrieb ist. Selbst die Rezeption ist provisorisch in einem Hotelzimmer untergebracht. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise war es oK, nicht mehr. Der Pool ist sauber und in betrieb.

- bailie (2/5): Dirty and musty - My wife and mother-in-law and sister-in-law did a girls trip. I guess the room was very musty. The bathrooms were not clean so they went and got their money back and went to a different hotel
- jhossabeth (4/5): - Someone opened the my room while my daughter was asleep. I had left to get us breakfast and I think someone noticed the car gone. Probably thought we were not in our room. My daughter called me, very panicked that someone was trying to enter the room, they had a an extra room key but when they heard my dog bark they left. My daughter opened the door later to see if it was probably the cleaning crew but there was no cart on anyone on site. They are also doing renovations so we were woken up at 7 in the morning by construction crew climbing on ladders near our window and a bunch of drilling and foot steps on top of the roof. Very unpleasant experience.

However, several little things did not work quite right or were damaged (light switch, key card, bathroom vanity and storage shelf), and there was gum stuck under the top of the nightstand.

Restrooms have horrible water pressure and the towels might as while been paper towels Overall I would not recommend staying here to anybody if you have a choice

No elevator and the stairs are extremely old cement with sharp edges. The entire building is old, hallway rug is dirty and stained. The property is poorly kept and needs some remodeling. No coffee maker in the room, only provided with one pillow per person and no blankets. I was cold all night. The water in the shower kept changing temperatures in the middle of showering from extremely hot to cold.

- Sean (8/5): Raccoon and vending machine - Little run down, looks like they were doing renovations… wife and I were fat a$es and raided the vending machine at 2am which was nice… room had holes in the wall and paint scratched off… saw a raccoon outside the window of our hotel room at 5am… tried catching it, raccoon ran into the bushes. I still think about that raccoon, also the room had Star Wars playing on TV, so my lady put it on to entertain me while her personal trainer drove up here to take her on a workout on the beach, her personal trainer really cares about her fitness

- nicole (10/5): - Second time staying here with my husband and dogs great location great price we will definitely continue to stay as long as they keep their prices reasonable we will come back here every time!
- Katie (6/5): - Good value - cheap motel. However, standard rooms do not have a fridge - very disappointing and the motel is going through renovations with works starting around 7am with hammering on the roof. Thwre was no warning from the motel beforehand of this, so not good!
- Ally (8/5): - The property is under renovation so it’s a bit loud. The check in office is in Room 101 temporarily. It’s a little off putting. The hotel is as described. The handicap ramp has stairs at the end of it. Defeats the purpose. Otherwise it was fine.

Upon arrival, front desk area was construction and you checked in in one of the rooms. They were open ceiling panels and carburetors. - Ricky (8/5): Ideal for Hearst Castle - Booked at last minute after visiting Hearst Castle nearby. Great value for a quick overnight stop. Was undergoing some refurbishments to reception but room was spacious, clean and good bathroom. Good Mexican restaurant opposite the hotel.

The lobby is under construction and the front desk is in room 101. Woman who checked us in was very nice and accommodating. I asked for a room that faced the ocean and she was nice to give us one. The room was clean. Others had said there was no microwave or mini fridge but there was both. Beds were ok. Not that comfy. The noise was the worst part. I can’t really blame the property for that but there were kids and babies screaming and running around the room next door and out in the hallway until 2 am. The phone in room did not work. I called motel number on my cell at 2 am and no answer. Very thin walls. I barely got a couple hours of sleep. Not fun. But being on a budget $80 for a Thursday night you can’t beat that on the central coast.
- Louis (4/5): - The check-in lobby is closed for remodeling so our check-in is in ‘motel room 101’, which is a diggity-dank motel room temporarily used for check-ins. The exterior of this former Motel 6 is a bit dated/peeling paint, rust on the air events, etc. Room is actually fine, clean and a value for what you pay. However, 3 of us between our two rooms can’t shower because……there is no hot water! So, that decreases the ‘value’ of staying here.

The pictures of the rooms look nice but it is a not that good. The beds are squeaky and kind of hard to sleep on. The bathroom needs to be redone. We stayed only one night as we travelled to the castle but will not come back here.

- MARIE (8/5): - It serves what is needed & served up clean. For what we paid, I think it is great. Clean room. Very, very nice staff: Oscar, Shawn, the manager, the housekeeper. Easy enough to walk across the main road to the beach, although I wish they'd put a cross walk since some drivers are crazy. Hot coffee, water, tea in the lobby early am & the staff serve them at wee hours when requested. Beds were not the best quality, but again, clean. A place to crash after a long day of exploring beautiful San Simeon, Cambria, & Morro Bay. I'd stay again. Also, water pressure is really good & plenty of hot water after a cold day. Stay blessed everyone.
