Guest Reviews
- Annissa (10/5): - Clean room
- Alphonse and Caroline (6/5): - They would not come to clean room until late afternoon. Needed to request twice to get it on second day. A bit disappointed that we needed to prompt them to get things done.
- Billie (6/5): - This property is a simple no frills place, fine but the beds were the worst I’ve ever slept on. The ground is about the same. The pillows were next. Horrible. Great comforter. If you are very big.. getting in and out of the shower would be a huge problem. Door interferes with commercial size decanter of industrial type soap. Single ply toilet paper isn’t fun either. The towels are very old and scratchy. They were so worn thin they were ragged on ends. Property being renovated and rooms smell like fresh plaster. Not a great smell. I would not stay there again.
- Anita (10/5): - Cleanliness Quiet
- Alexis (10/5): - The staff were great and the price was good. It was close to transportation, restaurants, and grocery stores.
- Nathan (10/5): - Simple, clean, great location.
- Sharla (10/5): - Very convenient location close to the Metro with many restaurant and food options nearby. The hotel was very clean and the staff helpful. We appreciated the free coffee.
- Mehdi (10/5): - Was perfect for 2 days (couple)
- Nicholas (6/5): Adequate - I kind of knew what to expect when booking this hotel, It was basic and adequate for my needs during my 2 night stay and when i arrived it was as expected, A simple basic room which suited my requirements during my stay.
- Karen (10/5): - Great staff and well equipped kitchen.
- Ian (8/5): - Close to metro. Lots of walkable restaurants. Ideal location. Property was clean although room small and in need of a little renovation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Manifique - Amazing location close to metro stations with a wonderful staff! They are very accommodating and the service was top notch.
- Mahsa (8/5): - Very polite staff tried their best to serve us. Clean and big room, Ice and free coffee and tea were available at any time, 24-hour open reception.
Small elevator made movement a bit difficult. Back of the building facade was construction and we couldn’t open our window. The neighbourhood was noisy but safe with stores and close to Montmartre.
- Craig (6/5): - The room was clean, but small and minimalist. the bathroom was nice, big shower, bed was nice, but over all pretty basic
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel for couple on budget trip - Stayed here as a couple. Great hotel for a budget trip. Beds really comfy. Rooms nice and modern. Good Air conditioning in rooms. Bathroom was grand. Good location with nice bars/restaurants and metro station close by. Staff were really nice and friendly. If you’re looking for a budget friendly hotel which has everything you need then I recommend this hotel.
- Neha (10/5): - Great staff, very helpful for tourists, amazing blinds if you’re a light sleeper
- Cynthia (10/5): - Very convenient. Right on the metro line and an easy walk to the Arc de Triomphe and Sacre Coeur. Many restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable.
- Robyn (10/5): - Convenient location near the metro, everyone was very nice!
- Linda (8/5): Grear stay. - Great location. Shops, restaurant's, bars, public transport all in very close proximity. Hotel was very clean. Use of kitchen and dining area. Free coffee machine. Rooms cleaned every day. Friendly, helpful staff.
- Carrie (10/5): Lovely Area and comfortable stay in Paris - We had a lovely stay in Paris at this hotel. The room could be considered a bit outdated but for the price and the location we did not mind and it was very clean. We loved many of the restaurants close by. It felt like a very nice area with lots of locals spending time there. The staff was friendly and we were very comfortable and welcomed. Our stay helped us have a very fond memory of our time in Paris.
- Sheri (10/5): - The hotel staff were very friendly and we just needed a simply hotel for a few days. It was clean and not noisy and very close to netro and other shopping and dining. Our triple room was all we needed and the AC was wonderful as it was quite hot.
- Shreya (8/5): - Clean hotel with great staff. Complimentary coffee and hot chocolate machine in lobby. Rooms have thin walls, but not a problem. We had a great stay overall.
- Marianne (8/5): - Fairly close to train station. Very helpful, caring staff. And has AC! Not every hotel does.
- Jay (10/5): - Nice hotel room and friendly staff. Our room was very comfortable.
- ioulia (8/5): - Clean room, very simple. The window of my room was opening to a wall of the next building but you can have some aiir if you want. You hear people on the stairs and in the corridors, otherwise ok. Good location, next to many restaurants and metro stations. I walk everywhere so not a terrible distance to the center either. For example, about 40 mins walk to Centre Pompidou.
- Carolina (8/5): - Hôtel propre, accessible en bus et métro, ce que permet de se déplacer facilement aux sites touristiques.
Le lit était confortable. Les oreillers étaient dures.
- Laura (8/5): - Great value for money in a more residential area of Paris
Three blocks from the metro with two great bakeries and a couple grocery stores within a block or so
Lots of cafes around and an ok walk to Montmartre (uphill) and to St Lazaro and Opera areas
Hotel is super clean with very nice staff
The breakfast room was an added bonus as was the kitchen on the main floor
Comfortable bed if a little hard and great blackout blinds
We were facing the internal courtyard so very quiet
Not luxurious but great value, comfort, and convenience
- Daniela (10/5): - Lovely little hotel, close to Place du Clichy metro station. Clean and quiet, surrounded by lots of fun dining. Very good value.
- Jonathan (10/5): - If you’re looking for the Four Seasons, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a no-frills but adorable and comfortable accommodation with incredibly kind staff in a MAJESTIC neighborhood - this is your spot. We’ll be sure to book again the next time we are in Paris!
- Priscilla (10/5): - Very convenient hotel, nice staff and clean amenities
- Pilar (10/5): - Hotel Darcet is very well located. It’s very close to a metro station and to a number of restaurants, supermarkets and bakeries. At the same time, it’s very quiet. You can rest peacefully. They are very kind and helpful
- David (10/5): - We had a great stay at Hotel Darcet. Their was staff on duty 24/7 and they were very polite, responsive and helpful before and during our stay answering any questions we had. There was an elevator which was nice to have.
The room and bathroom was comfortable, clean and quiet. It had a large bed, bedside tables, a wardrobe and a desk/table with a couple of chairs. The terrace was a great plus - a good size with a bistro table and chairs looking over the streets below.
Location worked great. Great restaurants, cafés and bakeries all around us, a nice walk from Sacre Cour and a 1 min walk to Place Du Clichy metro station.
Would definitely recommend Hotel Darcet.
- Catherine (10/5): - Staff was very helpful and accommodating.
- Lee (8/5): - Good location. With many restaurants available.
- Emma (8/5): - Cozy, quiet room near public transportation and the Moulin Rouge. Good value!
- Cristina (8/5): - Its too cold at night and the heater doesn't work. Staff are very friendly and kind to check whats wrong with the heater but it didn't resolve the problem. They gave us extra blanket which is good.We were able to leave our luggage till 4:30pm too and shop around before our arranged pick-up arrived at the hotel
- Siu Ling (10/5): - Hotel Darcet Paris offers a fantastic alternative to expensive luxury accommodations. We found it to be very clean, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Its location is also a major plus, with a subway station a mere two minutes away and a variety of appealing restaurants within easy reach. Our four-night stay left us with no regrets, and we wholeheartedly recommend it. Just be aware that it's not the place for those seeking high-end luxury in the heart of the city.
- David (10/5): - The room and bathroom were small compared to US standards, but we're very clean. The staff were excellent, helpful with advice on directions and transport. The area is an excellent hub for buses as we try to avoid the metro due to the stairs and the crowds.
- Katelyn (10/5): - Great staff - very welcoming and they keep the property very clean. We liked the location of the hotel because you could walk to different attractions, but were also super close to the metro if you didn’t feel like walking!
- Stephen (10/5): - We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Every staff member that we encountered was incredibly kind. This location was very convenient to bus stop locations and the metro. It was a great location for wxploringnParis. The bakery across the street was incredible.
The room was very small, but was very clean. We were glad to be on the first floor so we only had to go up 1 flight of stairs, as the lift was tiny.
- Philippa (10/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful, lovely and clean and great location
- Kris (2/5): - After spending 1 out of 5 nights at this place, we checked out asap because it was so bad. It’s old, dark, sad, the beds were painful, sheets and towels are old and thin and we saw small bugs. We checked out early and could not wait to leave.
- Flor (10/5): Great and affordable - The hotel is great clean close to restaurants on these is my 2 time stay in, I will stay here again 😘🌺
- Joanne (10/5): Great little find. - Brilliant location, very quaint boutique hotel,
Free coffee machine downstairs in the breakfast room,
Pastry shop across the road to get breakfast.
Rooms very clean, very comfy beds,
Not much room to store toiletries in the bathroom but we managed for 3 nights.
Will def stay again if we go back to Paris.
- Helen (10/5): - The property was perfect. Great location, staff really friendly and helpful. Room was basic but clean and we had the added advantage of a room eith a balcony which eas great for sitting out and having breakfast and drinks in the evening.
Didnt feel like a 2 star hotel i would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family.
- Ping (8/5): - Great location , close to metro station. Lots of restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores nearby. Room is clean. Bed is comfortable. Streets are noisy at night.
- Egle (10/5): - Staff at reception very friendly. Location of the hotel is superb. Our room was clean every day and towels changed. Thank you for accommodating us and we'll be back!
- Dawn (6/5): - For the cost it was as expected. The spiral staircase and one person elevator presented a challenge getting our luggage to the 4th floor. They asked us to leave our key when departing each day which is unusual. Again, for the price, it was what we would expect.
- Naveen (10/5): - 10/10
- Kim (10/5): - We loved the spiral staircase, the Juliet balcony, and the quaint lift.
- Julie (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff.
- Christopher (10/5): Comfortable, Clean, and Ideal for a City Break - Really friendly staff made me feel very welcome, despite my lousy French language skills! Room was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable.
It's perhaps not a hotel you'd want to spend a lot of time in every day - the room was quite basic and it can be noisy outside - but it's a great option as a base to go exploring Paris for a few days.
- Stephen (8/5): Paris for 4 nights - Hotel Is in a good location in regard to access to Metro and Bus stations. M2, M13 and several bus routes are nearby.
Elevator Is really small, only 1 person w a bag, Internet was good. Balcony is a window w bars, We stayed on 4th floor and did not have any issues. Coffee and tea available on 1st floor, Room are small, could use more shelving and hooks to set things. Some outside street noise but not really once windows and shutter are closed
- Tabitha (10/5): - Really friendly staff and clean and safe hotel rooms, in a central location, near a metro.
- Alanah (10/5): - A good sized room in a convenient location. The staff were super lovely and helpful
- Naveen (10/5): - Great hotel, very clean and very friendly staff. Super recommended.
- Pete (10/5): - Great stop at the friendly Darcet Hotel. Clean , convinient , nice coffee and tea point.
- Alexandra (8/5): - It was a really pleasant surprise! Close to the metro, a lot of food options within a pretty close and walkable distance. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The only reason I don’t give a 10/10 is just because you can hear the noise on the street quite a bit, but nothing that some ear plugs won’t fix! I really recommend it, it’s cheap, clean and close to anywhere you want to be!
- Sara (10/5): - Great location and staff
- ruby (10/5): - First time in Paris as a Canadian, this hotel was an affordable and great option. It’s right next to a skytrain station which was the highlight. The room got cleaned daily. You drop your keys off for the day and there’s a desk person who knows English 24/7. Come back to hotel whenever grab your key and go to your room. It’s a room with a bed and a bathroom which is minimal and all that’s needed for a Europe trip- since u leave early morning and come back at night after all the sight seeing. The elevator is small like enough for 1 person and baggage or 2 people standing face to face. It’s fun nothing to stress about. Cleaners do a fab job u don’t feel dirty or stressed that they doing anything shady. We did some luxury shopping and there were no issues. No issues throughout the stay can’t recommend this place enough for your stay in Paris! Oh it is in a mixed area of the city like some homeless people but also everyday work people too but that’s pretty much all of Paris.
- Pia (10/5): - The hotel is walking distance to a lot of restaurants & touristic places in Paris. The room was very clean. The receptionists were very helpful. Appreciated the coffee machine by the lobby. Overall a very good hotel.
- Lemar (10/5): A very lovely hotel - All the staff on the reception desk made us feel very welcome, they were all very lovely and pleasant despite us coming and going a few times throughout the day. Would 1000% recommend staying here.
- Angela (10/5): Hidden Gem Near Montmartre - Fantastic stay in a lovely little hotel about a 15 minute walk from Montmartre. Between 2 Metro stops with 2 bus stops, so it's easy to get anywhere. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Cozy little breakfast and coffee area with free coffee. The rooms were small, but there was plenty of room for 2 people with luggage. All the nice amenities were provided, as well. For the price and convenience, you cannot beat this little gem. Highly recommended!
- Jubril (8/5): - The elevator did not work when i was there, they used real room key instead of new touch keys
- Lily (8/5): - The elevator was very tiny.
- Isabella (8/5): - It was very centric to where we were going to go. Walkable, clean and quiet. Very good for the price.
- Sharon (10/5): - Clean and close to restaurants
- Gokce (10/5): - Nice , clean hotel. The location is great. Room is a little small but enough for 2. Not noisy , has a cute balcony.
- Joan (10/5): - Staff were very helpful
- Jinky (8/5): - The hotel is a little bit old and the wear and tear shows but overall, it was good, clean, and safe. You can easily walk to Sacre Couer, Montmartre, and Galleries Lafayette. It is also easy to get bolt and there are grocery stores and bakery nearby.
- Asma (10/5): - Very welcoming and clean, great location to get to all the main attractions
- Maribel (10/5): - Nice cozy. Small comfortable hotel and rooms. Must request room with balcony if you want one.
- Nadire (8/5): - Overall good, friendly staff, clean
- ion (10/5): - Decent hotel, good rooms, good area with shops and transport access.
I only recommend them to put carpet all place , otherwise you can hear every step.
- Geraldine (10/5): - Easy to find. Very close to supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and public transport stops. Front desk is open 24 hours a day. The staff were helpful, and all seemed to speak English.
The facilities listed when we booked included a bar, cafe and laundry on site - I didn't see a bar, I'm assuming the cafe was the coffee and tea making area (which was well stocked and free), and when we enquired at the front desk about the laundry, we were told there wasn't one. But, a quick Google search led us to a self serve laundromat 2 minutes walk away (ma pince a linge).
The elevator was hilariously tiny, but reliable. The rooms were also very small, but they had everything required. It was nice having a window which fully opened onto the street. The electric shutters were amazing - we woke up at 9am and had absolutely no idea what time it was, the room was still pitch black.
Plenty of power outlets, and next to the beds as well. Bed were comfortable, but we found the pillows awful - they squished down entirely and provided no support.
We did hear our floor neighbours coming and going - fortunately we seemed to be surrounded by quiet people who kept 'normal' hours, but it could be a problem if you had some lots and inconsiderate people staying.
Good price, in a great location for exploring the rest of the city. Walking back over multiple nights, seemed very safe.
- Dilkie (10/5): - I really enjoyed my 6 night stay at Hotel Darcet. Just wonderful and helpful staff, a lovely clean room, tea and coffee downstairs, a patisserie across the road and a 5 minute walk to Place de Clichy Metro to discover all the sites. My double room with balcony was great on the 5th floor and the tiny lift (adequate for you and your luggage) served me well.
- Tiffany (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay here for three days! The location was perfect, the staff very friendly, a nice communal space to have coffee and tea. It is an older building and feels a bit "damp" but it had everything we needed! The bed was comfortable and shower was HOT. Would definitely stay here again!
- Trevor (8/5): - Small older hotel close to public transit
- Jean-Pierre - André (8/5): - thé et café à disposition
- Jose (6/5): - Mucho ruido desde temprano
- Thelma (10/5): - Cleanliness and staff was awesome..
- Ethan (10/5): - Wonderful, cozy and perfectly located!
- Meggie (10/5): Great - will stay again. Good location - Staff are very helpful and knows english very well. They allow luggage storage after check out. Room smaller than expected but it has an en suite bathroom which is what we were after anyways. Room is cleaned everyday which was truly surprising (in a good way). Free hot drinks downstairs - i noticed the machine used is similar to what some cafes have. On our 1st night, fire alarm randomly set off at 5.30 am which was very confusing for everyone. Other than that it was a great stay, I would definitely stay here again
- Grace (10/5): - Absolutely perfect location, can walk to moulin rouge but it's a quiet and safe street. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. 24/7 reception
- Réda (10/5): - Très bien
- Larry (8/5): - Convenient to restaurants and market.
- Alice (10/5): - My room was clean and quiet, staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a nice location with public transport nearby.
- Richard (8/5): - Family of 4 (two young children): this accommodation was good for the two nights, as we could walk to métro stations, Gare du Nord (half an hour) and there were plenty of cafés. The free coffee machine was a bonus for this 2* hotel and the reception staff was friendly.
- olinda (10/5): Very pleasant small hotel - The room was large and had shelves and a table for our things for easy access. Nice new big window that can be opened we had three twin beds well spaced Wood flooring. New bath. Quiet at night One night we didn’t feel like going out so got bread, cheeses, smoked fish and fruit from deli around the corner and had a picnic on the very nice patio on our floor. Well located near metro and you ca an walk up to the cathedral and enjoy outdoor concerts at night
- Bruce (10/5): - Very nice hotel with friendly staff
- Amanda (10/5): - Very clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great service - Lovely hosts, great service. Really looked after our needs. Originally booked triple room, son was claustrophobic. Was given a different triple room and a double room. Really happy.
- JULIE (10/5): - The staff at the front desk and the cleaning crew are all amazing and accommodating. They have a machine to make a variety of drinks for breakfast and there is a bakery across the street (15 feet away) if you wish to get a bite of a sandwich or croissant. There is a refridgerator, freezer, and microwave if needed along with a kitchen with utensils and cups. The rooms are clean and are equipped with air conditioner and automatic window screens, in front of a small balcony, that can make your room dark if desired. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and thought that they staff were very friendly and welcoming.
- Leah (10/5): - Friendly staff, easy metro access, clean rooms
- Christopher (10/5): - I was really impressed with the hotel. So clean, and the hotel staff were all really friendly.
The location is really good as well. There's lots of places to eat/drink nearby as well as a few shoot shops, and it's also only a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station.
- Rene (10/5): - Helpful staff
- Luis Angel (10/5): Paris 2024 - Service was EXCELLENT and IMPECCABLE

Experience: was 10/10, "Enjoyable and comfortable stay", "I was so pleased with the service I received.
I really will RECOMMED Hotel Darcet in Paris to anyone.
If traveling to Paris you know were to stay.
Merci beaucoup
- Izgecan (10/5): - It was definitely great. Staff was very friendly, the room was clean and there was housekeeping every day, even if I only stayed for two days. Location was very convinient as there is a metro station and many restaurants nearby. Free Wifi and air conditioning worked great, there was free coffee downstairs, and the blinds made the room completely dark for a great sleep. I will definitely choose Hotel Darcet again when I go back to Paris again.
- Jack (8/5): - Hôtel Darcet was a nice, clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The room was small but enough space for me and excellent temperature control. The coffee machine in the lobby served free cappuccino, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, and more. They also had hot tea.
The reason I didn’t rate all 5 stars was because of the design of the front door to the hotel. It’s wide, heavy, and the entry hall is so narrow, you’re likely to bump your shoes with the door when exiting. I was wearing Teva sandals when I opened the door on my first day and the door ripped off the toenail on my right toe … and let me tell you, it hurt! A lot! And it bled a lot.
I was surprised to learn that the hotel did NOT have a first aid kit … they didn’t even have any bandaids or antiseptic. A roll of toilet paper was all I could get. The young man tending the front desk was very concerned and was very helpful … and he said he would recommend to the manager that they get a first aid kit.
A smaller door might give those exiting the hotel, a little more room. Unless that happens, I recommend that customers AVOID WEARING SANDALS!
One blemish on an otherwise very nice stay at Hotel Darcet, but that door significantly impaired my walking mobility for 2 weeks (and counting.)
- Elmer (8/5): - Nice hotel for the price listed. The staff, especially Samire, are friendly and accomodating. The hotel is just a few minutes away from all major landmarks. A lot of good food spots nearby.
