- isaya-kittipokasap (8/5): Private resort in Koh Chang - Nice place for relax and escape from people but quite far from restaurant. Cleanliness must improve especially at the corridoor and balcony. Staffs were nice but the front desk is empty sometimes. Please make sure you have your own car before choosing this resort.
- blade3colorado (2/5): This hotel needs major improvements! - My friend and I booked this room via Agoda and the photos are misleading, especially for the standard rooms with 2 single beds, i.e., I HAVE SEEN CLOSETS BIGGER THAN THIS ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, the room was unbelievably small, where you could not pass another person at the foot of the bed to go outside the room or to the bathroom. Worse, we had an insect (they looked like ants, but smaller) infestation leading from the sliding glass door to the bathroom. Hotel staff came by and sprayed insect repellent to rectify the problem, but we could not enter our rooms until later that evening and frankly, I could still smell the insecticide. There was no way, no how, my buddy and I were going to stay at this resort pass this one night (we had booked for 4 nights). Fortunately, the hotel desk manager understood the problem and immediately took action to upgrade us to a larger room near the infinity swimming pool. Regardless, we still had to sleep in this uncomfortable room the 1st night. The other major issue at this hotel is the incompetent restaurant staff. No one speaks English and coupled with their terrible service, where for example, you might get one of the dishes you ordered, they haven't brought out the silverware, napkins, or your other guests meals. Every thing was done piecemeal . . . One plate came out . . . five minutes would pass and another plate would come out, etc., etc. There is only one waitress and she is overwhelmed. I actually felt sorry for her, but quite frankly, she has no business serving customers because she has zero training. Here is what occurred during breakfast and dinner when we had meals at the restaurant: 1. My buddy and I ordered something and she brought out 4 beers. Both of us don't drink, I forgot what we ordered, but it certainly wasn't beer. 2. Another time, we ordered something that was spicy and asked that the dish not contain hot peppers, i.e., make it non spicy. Yes, they screwed it up and it came out spicy. 3. In lieu of the above, the one person who speaks fluent English at the hotel desk - we asked her to tell the waitress what we wanted, i.e., a non spicy version of a shrimp salad. Again, they blew it and we received a spicy shrimp salad dish. 4. As I alluded to above, too many times to remember, they forgot forks, spoons, napkins, etc. Additionally, if you ordered more than one dish - you would have to wait an inordinate amount of time for the dishes to come out. They never came out together. 5. The same cook works at the Coffee bar at lunch and I ordered shrimp and rice, with cucumbers. I got the shrimp and rice, but no cucumbers and only when I complained, did she correct the order. I think part of the problem is that the hotel is located on the other side of the island, where no one lives. Consequently, all the workers are very low paid and live on the resort grounds. They are also overworked. The same people working all day and all evening are the same people you see the next day. Hard to explain, but they do not have many staff people at the hotel. Worse, none of them are trained in Western hotel and restaurant standards/practices. Consequently, the service is terrible. The resort does have inexpensive motor bikes (250 baht a day), so transportation to the more busier side of the island is possible. That being said, I would only recommend this place to romantics who want to get away from it all.
- sammyoscar (6/5): Coffee shop beautiful sea view.... - We have been here many time for coffee, All the time staff very friendly and smiling to customer make as very happy everytime when we come ( before ) 🙂🙃 But this time was very bad services from staff in coffee shop she was look like angry all the time and speak to me like she don't care. This time we really unhappy and we will not come back anymore.... 👎👎👎
- FREDERIC (4/5): Hotel pour touristes locaux - Hotel vraiment adapté pour des touristes locaux et non pour européens. Le personnel ne parle pas anglais. Pas de manager sur place, les employés font de leur mieux mais dans leurs limites. Chambre confortable et bonne literie, mais la propreté n’est toujours là. La piscine n’est pas très propre. Manque d’entretien en général de cet hôtel. Le petit dejeuner est compliqué et sommaire (pas de sucré). Le restaurant ne propose quelques plats locaux mais la plupart d’entre eux ne sont pas disponibles. Pas de baguettes pour les plats thaïs! Loin de tout, il faut 30 minutes pour aller à la première ville ou supermarché en scooter. Les taxis ne se rendre pas facilement de ce côté de l’ile et coutent cher pour un trajet (entre 800 et 1000 baths.) Parfait pour des locaux mais hotel à éviter.
- Joy Hjortshøj (8/5): Fred og ro - Fint og charmerende hotel. Vi var her i højsæsonen og var nærmest de eneste. Hvis man vil have fred og ro, er dette det rigtige sted. Maden på stedet er dog ikke særlig god. Morgenmaden er tæt på at være forfærdelig. Der er to muligheder at vælge imellem, og det er altså ikke særlig inspirerende. Der er intet i nærheden du kan gå til, så du bliver nødt til at leje en scooter, og køre til alt. Vi kørte 150 km på 2 dage, og vi var kun på østsiden. Manageren var dog sød at hente os ved færgen, samt køre os hen til scooterudlejningen og sætte os af ved færgen igen, hvor vi så tog en taxi til White Sand hvor der er mere liv.
- fpigdon (2/5): not as adverftised - Air conditioning has serious health implications, wet mouldy smell when activated, the roofing areas where the units are located are covered in mould including some of the resort walls. Tired run down hotel with staff just going thru the motions. WIfi not working properly, cable tv not at all, resturant tired and dirty, 6 seafood items on the menu 4 unavailable, un manned bar, consider other hotels. In the local tourist magazine this hotel doesnt rate a mention we had a ten night stay booked and lasted one. I would be suprised if it still operating in 6 mths ......
- not happy (2/5): not a class hotel as advertised - Booked this "luxurious, best hotel on the island" for 10 nights and lasted one. The airconditioner was blowing mouldy smelling damp air, informed reception 20 mins after checking in, asked for a candle or something to remove smell while we aired it out. Staff couldnt care less, no candles, I checked the roof where the airconditioners were located and completely covered with mould over everything including resort walls. The advertised wifi didnt work properly, the advertised cable tv wasnt working at all, the shuttle bus didnt actually belong to the hotel, it just randomly drove past. We were sent from the coffee shop to the resturant who sent us back to the coffee shop when we tried to purchase a drink to celebrate our holiday, there was an open bar completely unmanned ast the same time, we attended the resturant for the evening meal, drab and dirty, 6 items of seafood on the menu , of which 4 were unavailable, what food we recieved was excellent. The list wine list was also unavailable apart from the most expensive. we were the only customers in the resturant, i asked for a glass and they had to clean one. I have some experience with cooling towers and i believed this to be a completely unacceptable health risk. in regards to the air condtioning. Other side of the island is the only place to be. We recieved no refund, and no help no support from the the booking agents, this is a run down hotel where the staff are just going through the motions, It wont be open much longer
- Lewis (2/5): Horrible. left in 1 hour - Wanted to try 1 nite on the other side of the island. This place had good reviews and was the most expensive per nite so figured it was good. Problems: No wifi working. Had not been working for a long time. Bad smell in rooms. Mold and peeling paint in hallways also with bad smell.. Stained, dirty, wet moldy smelling sheets and towels. Poor AC with bad smell. Hard Bed. We left after 1 hour.
- Al (10/5): Great resort away from the party scene - This is a nice resort with very helpful staff. The view is incredible. If you want to party, maybe this is not the side of the island for you, but it's great to relax. 5 star service all the way.

- allayuw (8/5): Relax your body and feel romantic with your sweetheart - I and my huge family have been here for New Year Party for 2 nights. We got warm welcome by fresh juice welcome drink. If you need the resort near the famous attraction, the location is not suitable for you because this resort is standalone from the others. It is suitable for the couples or family who need relaxation, friendly and great fresh atmosphere. I recommended VIP Room (Premier Suite) for a big family, you may ask for the extra bed because there are 2 bathrooms inside. And I also recommended Sky Terrace Room for couples, it was so romantic to sit down at the terrace under the moonlight and see the stars in the clearly sky beside your sweetheart :) (Don’t forget to ask the staff how to open the sunroof) OH!! You also see the sunrise from the sea. Although the resort is close to the sea there is no sand beach like the others to walk, you can’t swim in the sea because of the rocks but do Kayak and swim in the pool. We ask for the New Year Party BBQ seafood dinner which they bought ingredients from the native fishermen and make it done for us with special price. Although the resort is away from the clutter, there are still many attractions to touch such as Scuba diving (one day trip), Kayak by yourself or just sit on the boat call “เรือมาด, Reu-Mad” to see the nature and estuary (you may visit their FB: SalakKhokKayakStation), waterfall, Salakphet Temple and Museum, and finding handmade low cost high quality souvenir at “บ้านรักกะลา”, products from coconut shell made by natives (you may visit their FB: วิสาหกิจชุมชน บ้านรักกะลา เกาะช้างใต้) although it is just a little shop but you and the one you gave this souvenir will be happy. By the way, you may tell your plan to the resort staff because they can help you in every way. The restaurant I suggest is SalakPhet seafood (you may visit their FB: สลักเพชร ซีฟู้ด รีสอร์ท แอนด์ สปา). These are the trip I had planned for my big family for 3 months. Conclusion: The resort is great, nice and friendly staff BUT the price is very high especially in high season and long holidays, so please avoid if possible.
- mom_jeannes (6/5): Lots of potential, feels slightly neglected - The hotel is located on the east side of the island. This is about 15 mins from the ferry on the quieter side of the island. (The busy White Sand Beach is roughly 15 mins beyond the ferry, so a 30 min drive). The beach is lovely but there was some rubbish that needed cleaning and very rough pebbles to the entrance of the beach - a job that would have taken a few minutes to sort and gone a long way (like many things there!). As it's on the east, you don't get sunsets from there so I found it worthwhile to make the day trips to the other side. The staff don't all speak English, the cleaning staff are great - the room (Sky Terrace) was very clean and well maintained. The reception staff speak less English, somewhat frustratingly. Restaurant manager Nam is lovely - really helpful and great service, though the food itself is fine, not great. The hotel management is patchy - not great at setting your expectations about how long things take or what is nearby, I thought Samat really wanted us to stay on the grounds but there isn't a huge amount to do! Overall lots of potential, the place needs some basic TLC, a bit more info on reception about what to do locally and a bit more support in helping guests achieve what they want from the stay. I would say it is average as it's marketed as a luxury property but is most definitely not. As a mid-level hotel it would be great. Do be mindful that it's not a developed part of the island so nothing within walking distance if you leave the grounds. I would suggest: Local waterfall walk (no more than an hour on location) White Sand Beach day trip Na Tara Spa for yoga / massage / dinner

- fisherofmensignup (10/5): Luxurious, Adventurous, and Restful - I stayed at Na Tara for 3 days, 2 nights and was blown away my experience! From the very first moment to the last minute I felt like a celebrity. When I arrived in the evening and was greeted with moist towelettes and a cold beverage and it was in these moments I knew my stay was going to be exactly what I needed! I came with a group which is deffinitely something I recommend doing. The resort is really set up for corporate, or group events but if it's just one or two of you then you will feel right at home with the peace and quiet. The food is fantastic and so is the view! What's very unique about this place is that pretty no matter where you are in the resort, there is a view. Whether your in the conference room, eating a meal in the dining room or drinking your heart away at the bar you will be surrounded by a beautiful view. This was one of the features I love most about it! I could sit by the pool, eat a delicious meal, read a book and be surrounded by beauty. There are also quite a few activities that you can take part in when you visit. I recommend kayaking in the ocean, renting a boat and snorkeling the islands, and seeing the waterfalls! It is a little far from town but when you stay here you forget. It won't matter either because you can apparently can rent scooter or a car. The hotel staff if another thing I loved so much! I am a very talkative person and that is key when I stay somewhere. Is the staff helpful, willing to communicate and carry a conversation. I enjoy people even when I am on vacation and had some short but sweet conversations with some of the staff. They are so helpful and I am truly looking to going back and talking more. In the end there is no doubt in my mind you will be satisfied. This is by far one of my favorite stays at a resort! my on,y negative feedback is that I didn't stay long enough! ;) Next time for sure I will have to change that!

- suwanatatnina2 (8/5): Beautiful Romantic secluded resort - We spent 2 nights in this romantic resort. The suite room are very big and my bed face the sea thus it is excellent view. The hotel is about 20 minutes drive from the ferry. You can arrange with the hotel so they can pick you up. There are no public transportation there but you can rent a motorcycle. The car rental is about 1,500 bath / day (40 USD). I enjoy kayaking at the hotel. It is include with the room fee. The room have electric stove and utilities so you can cook if you want too. The hotel restaurant is very nice. The food is not expensive and it is yummy. The service at the hotel is awesome. Sombat ( the manager), Nam ( mean water in Thai) gave us great service. The coffee shop here is by the stream. It has great atmosphere. I enjoy seeing the sundown on the swing right over the stream. The hotel is close to the water fall though I did not go there. It is about 20 drive from another attraction "Gondola Boat" ride. Nice view of fisher village. Over all it is a beautiful place. Great romantic place to stay. Though it is not close to the shopping place , but you can arrange transportation with the hotel ( $50 / half day but please check again). if you like romantic place with great food, this is one of the place to be. - kittiphopk (10/5): Pleasant stay in Koh Chang - We spent our holidays at Na Tara resort for 3 nights. This trip it is a special trip for me and my partner because it is her birthday, without telling the staffs that it was her birthday but they were able to find out. Everyone said "Happy Birthday" to her as well as organized a special birthday cake, singing birthday song and warm wishes. We felt every special and this can't find in anywhere else. The staffs were very attentive to the guests and ensured that we received special cares from them. The room and the views were gorgeous, clam and relax...The foods were very delicious our favorite dishes are Rad-Na seafood and Chicken mafia, these two menu are to die for....The chefs were very friendly and even came to ask the feedback from us...It was a perfect trip and can't wait to be there again....
- Vw1981 (6/5): Luxury Boutiqe Hotel ? ? - Been to Thailand a lot, and i have stayed at a lot of different Hotels and resort over the years. This Hotel , or "luxury boutiqe hotel" as it says on its webpage , is just weird. The good : Rooms are nice and comfortable, with great views . Decent pool. Very quiet and private. Free wifi Staff that are trying to do they're best. The bad: About the views from the rooms. Room Nr 216 has a great one, except it has a giant palmthree in its way. How hard can it be to at least trim away some of the dead and dried up branches ? Because many of the palmthree's here are showing signs that they are in bad shape. The manmade beach by the pool has such big potential, but its not taken care of. Lot of paper waste, dead leafs and bugs. It would have taken a person about 30-60 min to make that beach look more appealing . Same goes for the lounge area beside the pool and the far stairs down to the sea. Not very "Luxury Boutiqe Hotel"like if you ask me. It all comes down to a little effort, a rake, a garbage bag and time. Over to the staff. Seemes to me that they are in lack of motivation. The english is very limited wich causes a lot misunderstandings , especially when it comes to ordering food. In a luxury boutiqe hotel resturant ,you dont ask for a meny, you are given one from the waiter. This goes for most resturants i presume. And if you order different things from the meny, like to different meals... As you would when you are two persons. Dont expect to get you're meal at the same time! I actually finished my lunch and my girlfriend got her meal 20 minutes after, and we both ordered sandwiches ! Its like the staff dont know quite what to do when it comes to service and attention for the guests , they need to be sharpened up and trained a lot better by the management . This place has a lot of potential. The need for attention and detail is long overdue. Koh chang has a lot of very nice resorts and hotels that you can choose from , many who are a lot better and more value for money rather than this place. Na Tara Resort is not an luxury boutiqe hotel. Its just a hotel.
- danaiya1 (10/5): Nice for coffee with view - Nice coffee with great view and cosy cafe area. Staff are friendly, too. We stayed in the west part of the island and it took us around 50 minutes to drive here. Anyway it worth the effort. We were there twice in a few days.
- timothyw390 (8/5): Soothing Ale - Great little hotel with nice cafe on the way to Salakpet Bay pool beech and great sea views well worth a look. This is the road that goes left when you come off the ferry and continues on to the marina in Salakpet Bay great seafood restaurant there to. Unfortunately thr road does not go completely around the island so you have to back track but well worth a visit if you are staying a few dayd

- VKTan (8/5): Peaceful, relaxing, comfortable. - The hotel is located in the very quite part of the island. We stayed in the superior cabana room. The room was generally very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit disappointing. It looked like the bathroom hasn't been renovated with the same standard as the room. The shower cabin was small and a little old and unstable. It was very relaxing spending time around the bar and the pool. Hotel staff were very nice. Atmosphere was great very peaceful and relaxing.
- Peter (10/5): super tipp... - es war traumhaft.... der strand ist zwar aufgrund der lage nicht zum schwimmen nutzbar aber der pool ist zauberhaft.... wir waren die ersten tage alleine im hotel und das personal war toll.... wahnsinnig lieb und nett... besonders zu empfehlen wenn man wirklich abschalten will und keine lust auf überfüllte strände hat...

- busylifeontour (8/5): Good for relaxing day - The resort is new and located on the other side of Chang Island. Only the challenge is the resort is right next to the main road, so you hear the motor sound all day. The resort facilities, staff services and ladscape are great. I personally love it. Only one thing I like to comment is the beach condition. It is on the mangrove side so during the high tide, the ocean condition is bad and look dirty in brown color. In the evening, it is back to normal deep blue green ocean. They have glass lawn to sit and relax. If I could ask, I need bathtub!
- sorakitk (10/5): Nice and calm - It is a good choice for people who need to get away from the city. The foods here are very nice so I did not need to go out anywhere. Make sure you order the recommendation one on the list. There are also a coffee home with many different types of drink to choose and various Thai desserts. Make sure you visit there.

Strandläge.Underbar pool. Inga strandförsäljare på stranden.Fin trädgård med bla Kojdamm.Fantastiskt god mat. Åt Seafood varje dag som även var prisvärd.För den som vill ha mera liv och rörelse ligger hotellet långt ut och ensamt. Man kan ej gå till något (går att hyra fordon).Bodde ensam i bungalow för 2-personer,hade varit trångt för 2. Rummet och toan var fint, uttrustat med tv, hårtork, toalettartiklar och extra strandbadlakan (varje dag) vattenkokare, samt aircondition förstås.
