Guest Reviews
- Jedrzej (10/5): Very nice room with a great view - We got a room with a great view! Also, the hike to anse major which starts near the hotel is spectacular! If you're staying here, it's convenient to have a car.
- Mehmet Alptekin (10/5): Good hotel with nice service and view! - Very nice hotel with helpful and lovely staff. The room was super clean and comfortable. It was freshly renovated and had a beautiful view from the balcony. All necessary amenities were provided. There were plenty of options to choose for breakfast. Drinks were very good. The hotel has plenty of parking spots. We would stay here again.
- Roland (10/5): - Pearl and Daiana you are the best! Thanks for making us feel like a family!
- Gustavo (8/5): - This is a little place with great views. The creole food was delicious. The rooms simple but renovated have a beautiful balcony. Dining area was also simple but enjoyable. A bit far from the action, you will need a car.
- Maria (10/5): - Had a great stay overall, beautiful view, theres loads to do around the area, whatever you like to do. It is a little small especially the pool but its nice for a quiet relaxing trip. Very clean and great service from the staff!
- Crister (10/5): Wonderful relaxed retreat - Diana and Marie-France and the team will go the extra mile for anything you will need. Every question or wonder you might have they will help to find answers, they borrowed us umbrella, gave us lift to Victoria, handed bus card to top up… so helpful in every aspect. The stay is fantasticly calm and relaxing, but still close to beau ballon and with local bus to all places on the island
- Charles (10/5): - Beautiful and peaceful location with friendly and very helpful staff. Not adjacent to accessible beaches but free shuttles available to Beau Vallon beach. Property is clean and comfortable but slightly dated
- Jonathan (10/5): - Excellent staff, delicious food at every meal, nice quiet boutique resort, wonderful infinity pool, easy transportation to beach, shopping, and airport transfer. Diana and Brenda are.wonderful hosts and make you truly feel like you are home.
- Bryan (10/5): Great stay! - Had a great stay at Treasure Cove. From the moment I arrived, the staff was very welcoming. Loved the location, especially for the close location to the Anse Major trail.
- Munna Sahile (10/5): - All the staff were amazing, I had a pleasure knowing Dina, Branda , and Francise , excellent staff, very helpful
- Jennifer (10/5): Wonderful stay in paradise! - One of the most relaxing and comfortable stays we have had. A wonderful family run boutique hotel, where they make you also feel a part of the family. It is located away from the crowds, yet very close to some beautiful and secluded beaches. The staff went above and beyond yo make our stay memorable, and the food was delicious.
- Katarzyna Grazyna (10/5): - Lovely staff and amazing views!! We loved it it was so peaceful and relaxing by the pool.
- Skye (10/5): - Lovely stay
- Akran (10/5): - This place is wonderful , I can’t wait to go back . Nice people.
- Cynthia (10/5): - I can not say enough good things about this place! The staff was so kind and truly allowed us to feel as though we were worlds away from any issues in the United States. Diana was a gem that went above and beyond for us! The included breakfast was a great portion and variety without being too much and let us fill our days with activities away from the Cove without thinking about food until dinner. Everything was delicious and fresh.
- Guy (10/5): - This is a really friendly and well run hotel. We had a brilliant view over the bay from the balcony and the half board option was a good choice with excellent food each evening.
- David (10/5): - More than lived up tp expectations and i stayed seven nights. Picture perfect sea views, with a beautifully situated pool and friendly staff.
- Iga (10/5): - Great hotel and every member of staff is lovely and helpful. Both the hotel, as well as the area are peaceful and quiet.
There's a great nature trail few minutes away from the hotel, leading to a little hidden beach with a small bar, and a daily shuttle to a beautiful public beach (which is about 45min-ish walk otherwise). Additionally, there's a bus stop around the corner that goes to Victoria regularly.
Good selection of food and drinks available, which are reasonably priced, as well as there's plenty of tiny local shops nearby that sell basic drinks/snacks/etc.
- Devin Paul (10/5): - A superb hotel in a quiet spot, hotel staff are excellent.
- Richard Randall (8/5): - It was A way from the city and near the beach.
- Nana (10/5): - There are two fantastic features about this property: the incredible ocean views and the amazing staff. It’s not super close to the beach but there’s a shuttle to the beach every day. Supermarkets and shops are a walkable distance too.
- Paul (10/5): - The staff are really helpful.
Nothing too much trouble.
- Aubrey (10/5): - The small staff team at Treasure Cove make this place very special. They are knowledgeable about all tourist options, welcoming and friendly, extremely accommodating, and very efficient. They will make you fell right at home. We stayed twice in Feb 2023 and we highly recommend it.
- Crystal (10/5): - This property was one of a kind! The staff were the best I have ever encountered. They greeted us with a drink upon arrival, helped us find our way around the island anytime we needed directions or advice, and their bar and restaurant was so nice. They even packed us a breakfast to take with us on our early morning excursion. It's impossible to say enough nice things about the ladies that took care of us. Definitely book Treasure Cove. You won't be disappointed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A true treasure - A most welcoming and relaxing little treasure - clean, comfortable rooms, and the most friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful views from the balcony, freshly cooked and very tasty breakfast. On the quiet side of Bel Hombre, but close to the beach at Beau Vallon and within easy reach of Victoria and the rest of this beautiful island. Highly recommended.
- Patricia (10/5): - If you are thinking of where to stay in Seychelles look no further! The property, staff, and view at treasure cove are 2nd to none. Staff was beyond amazing, from shuttles,to excursions they are all about making sure you are taken care of. Food was a bit pricey but worth every cent! I cant say enough about how special this place is! We are so thankful we booked with Treasure Cove!
- Craig (10/5): Our little paradise in paradise - We stayed here in February 2022 and decided to return for our wedding and honeymoon in September. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms all have balconies with an ocean view.
- Dheendayal (10/5): - Amazing property overlooking the Indian Ocean. If you want a quiet location this is the place. The staff were outstanding which makes this hotel even more special.
- Mark (10/5): - This was a fabulous all round holiday
- Craig (10/5): Awesome ocean view balcony - A great small hotel across the street from the ocean. Friendly and caring staff. I felt welcomed.
- Stephanie (10/5): - The food at the restaurant and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The view from my balcony was amazing of the beautiful Indian Ocean. I would definitely recommend Treasure Cove.
- Elsa (10/5): Best Bea-cation - The staff was awesome...always attentive, professional, and informative.....
- William (10/5): Coming back - I hope! - With only 9 or 10 rooms on this property, they still manage to have an excellent restaurant/bar with great service. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Infinity pool looking out to the ocean and sunsets was great. Hotel very quiet but during the day there is road noise. At night, things get silent. Would stay there again for sure!
- Paul (10/5): - The staff was second to none they did everything above and beyond what you think they would do they arranged anything and everything that we asked and saved us money I cannot say enough about how good this hotel is and the staff we will definitely be going back there and we will stay at that hotel treasure Cove truly is a treasure
- YVONA (10/5): - A unique ocean view from the room balcony, a beautiful small infinity pool, nice setting on the rock.
- Eyal (10/5): Great stay. - Location was great.
Hanging in the small pool watching the sunset was awsome.
Bottom line - great place !!
Very recommended.
On the negative side, the hotel was a bit stingy with the late checkout where we paid extra during low occupancy times.
- Mikhail (10/5): Beautiful place, very recommended - Beautiful place and very kind staff, it was a great pleasure to stay here.
Amazing small infinite pool, open 24 hours a day.
Very tasty breakfast and very good menu for the dinner, local tastes blended with fresh products - it was a big pleasure to dinner by the pool.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Friendly staff. Nice view of ocean.
T.v. didnt work first couple days we were there. Same free breakfast everyday. Need change menu .
- Michael (10/5): - Lovely staff, efficient and pleasant.
Room adequate with fantastic sea view. Breakfasts freshly loans lovely. We had dinner one evening, menu limited but all delicious.
- Juan (10/5): - Nice location, excellent view from my room, restaurant and pool.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Treasure Cove! Staff were so helpful even before we arrived, and arranged transport from the airport for us. They also helped us to book our day trip to La Digue and were really knowledgeable and helpful about other things in the local area. The room was clean and comfortable - we were prepared for mosquitos and other bugs but this wasn’t an issue at all! The restaurant was great too - varied menu at a good price, and delicious food. The hotel is not right on the beach, but a free shuttle bus is provided or there’s a local bus stop just a few minutes walk away. Definitely recommend and we would love to return!
- Cham (10/5): - extremely acommodating. We didn't have the last mral of our half board because we went put, the staff then proposed that we have a free lunch! Super friendly. The clerk on arrivsl helps you with anything you need on the islsnd. I coulnt recomment thid place enough!
- ShaunC (10/5): - We had an excellent stay in the Treasure Cove. It was just what we were looking for in that it was quiet and off the beaten track. The room was excellent with a stunning view and we had all we needed without having to leave the hotel. The restaurant is excellent and the fish is unreal with some very big portions. Breakfast is also wide ranging. The staff were so friendly and helpful and always so very happy. The hotel is quite a way from Beau Vallon but the hotel offers a shuttle bus each day there and back. There is also a surprisingly good beach opposite the hotel that we had to ourselves whenever we needed it. If you are looking for somewhere quiet to relax with wonderful food and great staff, then this is the place!
- d (4/5): Disappointing - I do not know why I chose this hotel as it was not what I would normally stay. The area was so dismal and one has a need for a shuttle car service to another place for swimming/sunbathing..
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice people, nothing too much trouble for any request.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very helpful staff, who assisted us with contacts for day trips and plans, and provided restaurant recommendations. Rooms were a bit small, while bathroom was large and had balcony overlooking the ocean. Breakfast was ample and dinner was excellent, and reasonably priced. Good location near Beau Vallon. Only drawback is it not on the beach, there is a very small one nearby and a shuttle (twice/day) to BV beach. Infinity pool is small but rarely anyone in it. Great value!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay here. everyone was great to us on our first trip to Seychelles. They treated us like family we can't wait to come back!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great staff, friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast, and restaurant also highly recommended. Pool is spectacular, and gorgeous view over the sea from our balcony.
- Sunshine (8/5): - I had great views. I wish there were more shuttle times.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Unique location. Great infinity pool. Excellent personal service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We went to this place for our honey moon and we had a great stay. Juliana was supportive and helpful which makes our stay more great. We recommend this place to other guests who want to stay in a very quiet and nice hotel with ocean view in Bel Ombre.
- SeanC (10/5): - Fabulous staff, comfortable rooms, great food. Can not recommend highly enough for a wonderful quiet romantic holiday
- Verified traveler (10/5): Small hotel in Seychelles - A delightful small quite hotel, perfect for touring the island and relaxing. The restaurant was excellent with a good variety of local and international choices. The room was of a good size and was very clean.
- Ramon (10/5): Hidden Gem - Treasure Cove was an amazing stay for my first visit to Mahé. The staff was incredible and the sea views were from the cliff-perched hotel. Some of the property would certainly benefit from a touch of renovation/updating, but the overall experience is wonderful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really relaxing stay in an ideal location. Wonderful to wake up each morning to the beautiful view ! All the staff were so friendly and helpful, they simply couldn’t do too much for you. The food was superb - even though we were booked B&B we had our evening meal here every night. The shuttle bus to and from the beach was a godsend, and the beach was lovely. Couldn’t recommend highly enough
- Helen (10/5): - Loveliest staff ever.
Most perfect view of the ocean from every room.
Squeaky clean infinity pool next to the bar.
Included breakfast will set you up for the day :0)
The walk the Ansie Major Beach is very close by.
This was our second visit and we look forward to returning for a third :0)
- Paul (10/5): - Nice hotel with ocean front view, and friendly staff too. Good food
- steven (10/5): Great boutique hotel with a view - Great little boutique hotel overlooking a colorful cove. Staff was wonderful and always helpful. Breakfast was a good a carte menu and the dinners were well prepared although a fairly small menu. A special note that Diana was an especially helpfu, pleasant staff member.
- Mark (10/5): - A super, super choice! Located in sleepy quiet Bel Ombre just a short bus ride or walk from the busier spots including the diving shops it has all you need for a quiet and intimate stay. Bus #21 stops within a short walk and it will get you to Beau Vallon, Victoria and other.
Julia, Alain & Diane took care of us across our 4 days and we'd have stayed longer but they were booked out. Wifi worked well and I can't say this about other venues.
A massive breakfast is included while the restaurant offers a terrific menu with the Italian choices surely award winning...
- Peter (10/5): Great stay - very helpful staff - top marks - Just got back from 2 glorious weeks in Seychelles. The Treasure Cove was a delight - great staff - arrived on the Sunday and partners birthday the following day - greeted on arrival back with our bed covered in a flowery decoration birthday message, must have taken ages to do !!. - Also free drink that night and as it was owners son's 18th birthday so great FREE buffet for guests !! - brilliant night.
On top floor so fab views over the stunning bay, stairs do keep you fit !!
Breakfast good and dinner especially good - evening meals not cheap ( say £50 for 2 ) but are very good indeed - local fish superb.
Stupid things bit daft - bathroom sink and bath plugs didn't work which was bit annoying, did ask to get fixed but never fixed so plastic bags used to stop water draining out.
Hey ho that could happen anywhere !!
All round great small hotel with good personal touch. Would we return - certainly !!
Seychelles great place - def not cheap but my partner and I have been all over the world and I would put Mahe in top 2 places we have visited. Get out and about - especially visit the capital - Victoria and its food market.
We found beaches best on the east side of island but you need to choose your location carefully as some resorts are fantastic but the swimming is difficult because of high waves and currents. You visit one bay with 10ft waves and no swimming - drive 10 minutes to another bay and the water is like like a mill pond and a baby could swim there all day !!
- Simon (10/5): Great hotel, small and cute - What a wonderful week we had at treasure cove, the top floor rooms have an amazing view, silhouette the best. Hotel staff were really good, friendly and helpful, can’t rate the service highly enough. Breakfast and dinner were both very tasty. The hotel has good transport links but buses stop by 8pm and it’s a long walk from Beau Vallon, so definitely go for a rental car or get a taxi when in town later. Snorkelling from the beach is a challenge except at high tide but there’s a small beach a little round the corner in either direction that means you can swim or snorkel at any time, the snorkelling right in front of the hotel is really good once you get to it, lots of colourful fish.
- Hazel (10/5): Very comfortable hotel - We were made very welcome by Juliana and all the staff we met during our stay.
- SarniaCherie (10/5): Great Boutique Hotel Facing the Sea - This is a fabulous small hotel on the Beau Vallon side of the island, ideal for the May to October monsoon wind, but also if you have a rental car, for the other main season too. Superb staff who make it their aim to enable their guests to feel like they are staying with family. Excellent restaurant with well-known local chef. Every room has great sea views, though access to the beach is not easy, down some very rickety and unsafe looking steps. We stayed in three hotels during this latest trip to Seychelles and this was by far the best. We will be back!
- Mrs (6/5): Nice and quiet hotel - Lovely hotel but no lift. Our room was on the last floor so it’s a bit of a pain. Internet is poor you have to go down near the reception to have a signal. The view from our room is stunning.Breakfast is ok the first 3 days but if you stay longer you get the same food everyday.
Diana is very friendly and helpful but the other waitress is the opposite of her.You need to take the bus to go to the main beach which is 10/15 mins away.Overall it is a very quiet and pleasant hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Treasure Cove is a gem - great restaurant serving very good local food. The staff were happy and extremely helpful. Superb sea views and convenient for Silhouette Island ferry.
- Magnus (10/5): Best hotel experience since 1999 - Fantastic boutique-type small hotel where all rooms come with a terrace overlooking the ocean. Great family-based management providing shuttle to beach, airport pick-up, and any advice you might be asking for (booking of trips, rental car, etc). Great restaurant with limited menu offering excellent quality to moderate price.
- Steven (10/5): Nice boutique hotel with great ocean views. - The team at the hotel went above and beyond for our stay. We were using the location as a transit hotel until we could reach our final destination. The management team reached out proactively to offer transportation services from the hotel, which was much appreciated. They met us at the airport and took us to the hotel and delivered our bags directly to our room. We were met at the hotel with a refreshing drink while we finished up the check in. Our room was on the top floor with great views of the ocean and the small beach across the street. Dinner was great in their open air restaurant. Even though we were only staying one night, they helped with the transfer to our next hotel and even handled the transfer to the airport for the return. The other above and beyond that they did for us was selling us a bottle of local rum to take home without needing to stop at the market. The entire staff was friendly and positive, and if we ever return to the Seychelles, we will definitely return to the hotel.
- Kriss (8/5): Great boutique hotel, with amazing staff. - Great boutique hotel, with incredible staff, who really made the whole vacation experience very special. They are personable, warm & extremely helpful. You would not get this level of service in a big hotel.
The rooms are pleasing with nice modern bathrooms. The view from the bedroom balcony is breathtaking with incredible sunsets. Although there is a small beach across from the hotel, there is free shuttle service to & from a great beach a couple of miles away.
The food in the restaurant was fabulous & enjoy their lemon grass water with ice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Well located, fantastic staff - Located in Bel Ombre a short bus (or free hotel shuttle once a day) from the hotel from Beau Vallon - the best tourist beach centre on Mahe. Also very close to excellent La Scala restaurant and superb walk around coast to beautiful Anse Major. Room, food and staff were superb; the only slight point to note is the pool area is very small with very little room to sit out on loungers.
- Bianca (6/5): Nice pool but quite small - Staying at this hotel was alright. Room size was good, TV program hasn’t had a variety, most channels were advertisements. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cleaning of the room was a bit quick.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome place - Very great experience, the hotel is very nice, the staff is excellent and the food is amazing. My only complaint was I felt the ac didn’t cool down the room very well, but to be fair I over heat easily. We really enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend the place!
- raviteja (8/5): Pleasent xperiance - We checked in at 10 am though actual time is supposed to be at noon according to hotel...but the staff were good and gave us a different room...so nice of them
- Börje (10/5): Fantastic - it was an excellent stay.
- aruna (10/5): A little gem on bel ombré!!! - Wow! A beautiful location in perfect setting.
Spent an hour in the pool and did some mindful listening!
I was blown away with nature's melody.
Juliana, what can I say, what a gracious host, she accommodated our every need,
Had a lovely couple of days at this hotel. We are going to return for a few more
Days end January.
Juliana and Marie-Francois were able to book taxis, cars and anything we required.
There is a bus stop just outside the hotel, one must use the bus once!
I'll say no more as this has to be one,s own expirence!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing view, wonderful hosts/employees! - Beautiful view, get the Silhoutte Room which is the best. The folks there were so nice and accommodating. Although not within walking distance of Beau Vallon, it is very close to drive to (once you get used to driving there!). We completely enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): VERY Friendly Staff, hotel is clean and basic - First and foremost, the staff at Treasure Cove are AMAZING. Very kind, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is lovely, on a hill ABOVE the ocean, not directly ON the ocean, though the beaches are minutes away. The main caveat I'd give about Treasure Cove is that it lacks a comfortable place to lounge. The rooms are clean, and nice, with small balconies, and the bar and restaurant area is ok, but around the pool and in the rooms there is no place to comfortably relax. The balcony furniture is hard wood without cushions, and the 3 lounge chairs set up adjacent to the pool are arranged in such a way as to not actually be facing the pool or the ocean. Had we visited in the height of good weather season, this obviously wouldn't have been an issue, as we would have been at the beach all day every day. Given that in December it was quite rainy (sadly), we were often looking for a comfortable retreat during the rain showers, and found Treasure Cove lacking in this area. Everything else is wonderful (good food, wonderful staff) but I would suggest to the management that comfier balcony furniture, and a re-arrangement of the pool area would work wonders.
- David (10/5): Great little hotel! - We loved being in such a quiet area of the island. We rented a car and saw it all. Had a great dinner at Treasure Cove, and walked to another fabulous restaurant nearby.
- Carol (8/5): Quiet, Small, Relaxing - This was our first trip to the Seychelles and we enjoy small boutique hotels. We enjoyed this hotel very much. There were no children and no wild young adults. The views from the room were excellent and the room was very clean. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful.
- jason (8/5): Hidden hotel - Hotel is hard to find if driving yourself. Not on beachside and a sharp turn up the driveway. Staff were great. Rooms were nice though need to figure way to keep geckos out. Removed 4 geckos from room before deciding to leave the hotel (they are loud and fell into bed in middle of night). Nothing near hotel so driving is must.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A small friendly hotel. All the staff were anxious to help: nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and clean and the views from the balcony were very pleasant. We enjoyed the evening entertainment and the evening meal. Over all a very happy experience.
- Dunbar (10/5): A gem of a place - This small hotel is a gem of a place, built into the massive rocks of a granite mountain.
Each room opens onto a balcony with magnificent views of the wide, quiet, relatively shallow bay opening on to the deeper sea. The face of the sea changes constantly at different times of the day, in sun and cloud and as the tide comes in and recedes. At night the sound of the sea lulls one to sleep. A magical experience for a glorious honeymoon.
Our king size bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning quiet and comfortable, the bathroom well-equipped and spacious, cupboard space ample and easily accessed. The staff were friendly and responded promptly to requests -- indeed, one felt like guests of a family, so personal was the service.
A scrumptious breakfast was provided until 10 am. We tended to have mango juice, yoghurt and fruit, eggs (an omelette with a range of fillings or scrambled or fried eggs with fixings), coffee, toast with jam.
We rented a car. Parking space was ample. The sea in front of the hotel was crystal clear and ideal for snorkeling but the nearest beach was a kilometer or two away. We were told that the hotel provided transport to the beach for guests who needed it.
La Scala restaurant five minutes walk down the road from Treasure Cove had excellent Italian dishes but we tended to dine at the hotel restaurant which provided a range of creole and other fish dishes, meat mains, pastas and salads. All delicious.
- Rich (8/5): Best Ocean at a cheap price - We lived on the top floor and the ocean view is excellent!
- FERN BARLOW (8/5): Lovely Location - Great little place with amazing views. Tiny pool but did the job. Food was average, but there's a great Italian restaurant 100 yards down the road. Very serene and quiet Hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): location - not so great - we got our room, a bit disappointed with the furniture - dated, wifi was almost very slow with disconnections every 5 minutes....breakfast was good
- Elizabeth (10/5): Fabulous stay! - You can't go wrong with Treasure Cove!! We were extremely pleased with our stay. First and foremost, EXCELLENT service from all! Smiles and helpfulness abound! Great proximity to the Anse Major trail and just a free shuttle ride away from Beau Vallon Beach.
I appreciated all the distinctive touches to the property, including the door handles and classic furniture. The balconies offer fabulous views, and the beds are incredibly comfortable!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice and budget hotel. - It was great budgeted hotel. If you are looking for little far silent place to stay, it is for you.
- Shwetank (8/5): nice hotel - No complains with the hotel, decent breakfast, nice room, close to Beau Vallon.
Make sure you rent a car if you stay here, will make life easier. In my opinion its imperative that you have a car of your own if you are trying to explore Mahe, all the hidden beaches and restaurants can be accessed only with your own transportation.
- Marc (8/5): A hotel that care - All the staff was very helpful. The owner helped us organizing all the excursions or travel arrangements. The chief diverse a four stars as the dishes where exotics and excellent quality.
- Paul H (10/5): Small hotel setting. accommodating staff - This hotel is ideal for those that do not wish giant complexes. There are only 10 rooms and the staff caters to your needs. There was never an instance when a question was not answered immediately. The staff provided plenty of helpful suggestions for our travel destinations and helped to book various trips we had planned.
Breakfast was always served in a timely fashion and food was top rate. Staff even facilitated our early travel plans with a "boxed breakfast" since we would be gone very early.
We were one of the few American couples in the area and received very hospitable treatment.
- Moshe (10/5): Amazing staff, Great hotel , home away from home - This hotel lets you feel completely at home. Mary France and Julianna are so kind and will assist with any issue/ question you may have. We arrived at 11pm to the hotel and they arrange a car to pick us up from the airport and let us do the check in the following morning "Take you time, you are probably very tired.." Without a doubt, this is the way to open your trip...Absolutely amazing people that let us feel very welcome and at home :-)
The hotel is small, intimate, quiet and very close to Anse Grande trail (2.5 km walking trail to an amazing beach- totally worth the walk. Amazing scenery on the way, great opportunities for pictures and enjoying the view).
The hotel restaurant (breakfast & dinner) is great, the service is kind, and the food is very tasty. In addition you can find a great restaurant only a 100 meters from the hotel called "La Scala" -make sure to reserve a table :-)
We chose the hotel due to great reviews and we highly recommend you to go to ! It's clean, quiet and provides great return for you money.
- anon (8/5): Friendly small hotel - If you want a hotel with a large swimming pool and lots of facilities then this hotel is not for you. However if you want a small friendly hotel near the ocean with helpful staff then this could be what you are looking for. We certainly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and had tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. We were able to sit on our balcony overlooking the ocean, in a quiet area ,listen to the sea and watch the fruit bats fly by as the sun set. There was little traffic as there was no through road and we were not disturbed at night.
The beautiful Beau Vallon beach was only a short drive away and we swam in the ocean every day which was warm and crystal clear so not having a large pool at the hotel was not a necessity to us.
We hired a car for several days which the hotel staff organized and there was parking at the hotel.
The restaurant provided good quality food and was not too expensive compared to some other restaurants visited. Not too many restaurants to choose from, most are hotel restaurants so if going bed and breakfast only it is good to be aware of this.
- RASHMI (10/5): - We stayed for 4N-5D in this small boutique family-run hotel with just 10 rooms all of which face the turquoise Indian Ocean. Panoramic unbeatable views. This is the best place to stay in if you are on Mahe Island. There are a couple of small pretty beaches, easy walking distance from Treasure Cove. The main beach Beau Vallon is a 25 min walk;the hotel will drop you and pick you up AM & PM. Bus stop for buses to Victoria is a stone's throw away from the hotel. We dined at their restaurant for most of the nights (also because there aren't places you can go to close by unless you have a vehicle)& we were not disappointed. Food is delicious, freshly prepared served well in the ocean facing restaurant, often with live music. Average meal price for 2 (without drinks was about 600 Seychelle Rs) Rooms were clean, comfortable. On the day we reached we had some teething problems with toilet cleanliness, aircon leakage and wifi but they were all attended to reasonably well and quickly. We had a working holiday and were heavily dependent on wifi which unfortunately was not perfect to match the rest of the services (the stay is expensive in this all-exorbitant country). The hosts, staff are warm, attentive. We would stay here again surely.
- Neka (10/5): Perfect holiday! - After reading several great reviews, I decided to book a room at Treasure Cove. I definitely made a great choice. The room and balcony provided comfort at the end of each busy day, and everyone made you feel you were at home.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing staff and food - The restaurant overlooks the sea. Sunset is lovely with a great cocktail. The food is exceptional ! The hotel staff are really helpful and wie had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!
- Gerard (10/5): The Perfect Place. - If you're looking for the quiet getaway, Treasure Cove is the spot. Great, friendly service with the proximity of several beautiful beaches, all within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay and would return in a heartbeat.
- Trevor (10/5): - Great hotel with friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble.
- José (8/5): - It is a good small hotel, managed by the owner. Good restaurant. A bit far away from beaches and night life.
- Lynne (6/5): lovely views, perfect for couples - Marie is the the soul and driving force of the hotel. Room spacious. Breakfast adequate but no variety on cereal choices (one), jams (one).
Ate once for dinner. Good but wine expensive, even more so than other restaurants.
Noted a few maintenance items that needs checking on a daily basis.
- Helen and Chris (10/5): Best hotel for a holiday of peace and serenity. - From the moment we arrived until we left two weeks later, we were taken care of and loved by the team who run this incredible hotel.
All the rooms look out onto the Indian Ocean. You can walk out of the hotel, cross the road and there is the sea with the coral reef immediately on your hotel doorstep. You don't need to hire a boat or take a tour, the fish are there waiting for you :0)
We didn't close our curtains all the time we were there, we watched the incredible changing light over Silhouette Island by day and the Milky Way by night through our balcony doors.
From our balcony, we watched Flying Foxes and many different birds at all times of day.
Don't be put off by the location, the public bus runs very regularly and only costs 5 Rupees to get to Beau Vallon or Victoria.
If anything, that the hotel is away from the main drag of hotels and restaurants in Beau Vallon means that one is not hassled to buy boat trips etc.
Make sure you bring your hiking boots and ask the route to Anse Major, it's worth the sweat and the hike alone is almost as spectacular as the beach itself.
- Avril (10/5): Great view from balcony - Excellent stay. All staff very accommodating. Restaurant at this family run hotel had an excellent menu selection making it very easy for us to have dinner there every evening during our 6 night stay. Views from the bedrooms were great. Whilst hotel is on the side of a road it is a very short distance to small private beaches.
