Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This property closed its business in mid 2019.
Do not make a reservation.
- Carena (10/5): Great birthday stay - I had a fantastic time, the staff were friendly and easy to speak to and really helpful
- Rezah (6/5): Dissapointing experience - Was not good.we had a dirty room that had not been Cleant. The bed in our room was Un made. We also found a bowl with cigarette buds in the room.such a dissapointing experience.
- MICHAEL (2/5): Disgusting - I don’t know where to start and where to end let’s say the only word I can use is disgusting . The place is run down dirty .We arrived went to the room and left stariaight away I don’t know how the owners can expect people to sleep in those rooms we booked and stayed elsewhere .
- Vusi (6/5): - Service from night stuff was poor as they were not prepared for our stay, we found room dirty with other people spencer and sheets had Spains even after asking for them to be changed it was not changed. Breakfast was not served and they only refunded R300 for breakfast for 3 days which was not sufficient as we have booked for 4 people. We had to ask for microwave as other rooms had one
- GoProNeil (2/5): Not what description tells you - Hotel room was dirty, unmade room & towels were filthy. When told to reception they said it was cleaned and didn't seem to bother about the pictures I took to prove my findings. Description says breakfast included... this is WRONG, It was not given.
- Mamotheba (8/5): not so great - Outdated furniture. Room was stuffy but great location. Electric wires exposed
- Petri (4/5): - Hyvä sijainti Seapointissa. WiFi toimi melko heikosti, aamiainen varsin vaatimaton ja hygienia kyseenalaista.
- priscilla (4/5): - Great and friendly stuff but the luck of comfort in our room made it worse, breakfast was the same fried egg or scramble, we sleep on the mattress because there wasnt enough beds, curtain windows were also a disaster, not the best place for the price i paid.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Great location, badly managed - Staff friendly but unprofessional
Flies all over at breakfast
Garden service just walks onto balcony unannounced
Need to leave own keys to get room service. Why they dont have extra sets of keys is beyond me
1 toilet roll supplied foe a family room ( bought our own)
No complimentary soaps or just handwash
2 towels provided for a family room. When asking for more we were told they were still at the dry cleaners. When they arrived only small ones provided over an above the 2 big ones.
Hot water was a problem. Can't regulate taps properly. Hot water ran out one evening only to discover they turned off the geyser.
Same bland breakfast every single day.
Random people manning reception - no accountability. Only spotted Shawn once after check in
Badly managed place
- Verified traveler (2/5): Did not enjoy my stay - Did not enjoy this stay at all. Parking was an issue outside the hotel. By 17h30 my room had not been made up! After asking for this to be done, I was just moved to another room.
On checking out at 07h30, there was nobody to assist with issuing an invoice.
Overall - service does not exist.
- cecilia (6/5): Potrebbe andare meglio!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): fine foe families - Nice staff but room cleaning was not done daily and was not cleaned thoroughly.
Cheap and cheerful place to stay and worked for our family. Porch off our room was great for the children!
- Norman (4/5): Good location - Advertised as room with a view, balcony. Got neither. Free full breakfast. Nothing. Free parking. On the street. And NOT free. Room was not automatically cleaned daily. TV and lights did not work properly..
- nazemma (10/5): Nice hotel - It was really very nice experience we have in this hotel. I recommended this for the international travelers too.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good value for money - A simply hotel with all you need. Great location. Good value for money.
- Damon (2/5): terriblr - Abandoned room
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant Stay for a Week - For the price, we had a very nice stay. The room we had was nice and clean equipped with fresh, clean linens, TV, safety deposit box, clean towels, kettle, cups, tea and coffee, a patio. A hot breakfast was included every morning. There is paid parking on the street, which is fully covered by Casa Elena for its guests (you just have to register your vehicle at the front desk). Internet was fast. Location-wise, there are many restaurants and shops around the area. Tourists and locals alike mingle in the Seapoint area.
- Harry (6/5): Netjes maar gedateerd . - Lokatie is lastig te vinden en in een rustig deel van de stad. Ruim ee uur lopen naar het Waterfront.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect location - feel at home abroad! - Gute Lage, in sicherer Umgebung, nächst Strandpromenade, Pools. Restaurants & Läden nebenan, Zentrum etc. mit Bus sehr gut erreichbar. Mit Taxi vom/zum Flughafen ca 30 Rand (Stand Nov.15).
Personal sehr freundlich & hilfsbereit. Nette Eigentümer - Grüsse an alle, komme gerne wieder :-).
- Mr Vikesh (6/5): Well done Casa Elena - very nice stay with a lovely simple breakfast in a very relaxed setting
- Joly (8/5): - Peoples are friendly
- Eric (10/5): Good Value for money - The hotel was very clean and well equipped. The breakfast was good and all round this was good value for money.
- Nischol (8/5): on seapoint! - good hotel, with free wifi, continental breakfast, spacious rooms.
good safe area.
- Gerrie (8/5): Pleasantly surprised - Although I was at first a bit unsure about the safety of our rental car and parking, but all was very well organized. Very surprised with the braai facilities and patio area(semi private)very enjoyable stay.
- Lucky (10/5): Perfectly peaceful - The receptionist should get paid double whatever she gets paid. She was perfectly welcoming.
Room was also amazing, my favourite part was the breakfast.
- tebogo (10/5): - Definitely worth the stay. An absolute hidden gem and value for money, to say the least
- Refilwe (8/5): Nice affordable hotel for a peaceful & quite time - I arrived at the hotel Friday morning & the receptionist was very friendly. They booked me in earlier than their usual check in time which was very appeasing to me. I stayed the for 3 night and had an awesome time. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable I think the hotel must invest in new mattress. Breakfast was superb too. The entrance to the hotel is not visible & hard to recognise from the outside.
- Gareth (8/5): - Very friendly and accomdating staff. Service was great. Would definitely stay there again. Beds and room comfortable, clean and lovely. Just a few minor attention to detail but nothing serious. Thank you to all involved who made our stay one to remember.
- Sharon (10/5): Perfect place to stay fit a few days in Cape Town. - Our stay was wonderful. We were out all day, so starting our day with a home cooked breakfast was a treat. The staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble.
The staff got to know us and we got to meet all the staff.
Thanks to everyone making our stay such a good experience.
The hop on hop off bus stop was very convenient.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Noisy - The Photos on web are Totally deceiving...... Friendly and Helpful staff, Very Small, No Private Parking, Parking in Main Street (worried all night about rental car). Not sure about the other rooms, We Stayed in Room 1, Terrible noise coming from outside and the wooden steps, doors being slammed right trough the night, people taking loud !!! , Kids Running all over knocking on doors and sitting on steps, we also got woken up every time the guests in the room next to us, flushed their toilet or opened the Taps! Couldn't sleep at all, on the up side clean bedding and towels, rooms were cleaned daily. Will NEVER STAY their AGAIN!
- Raphael (10/5): Great affordable lodging in Sea Point - My son and I stayed at Casa Elena for two nights while he changed apartments; he was in Cape Town for 2-3 months on a work visa. We have nothing but nice things to say...the room was pleasant and clean, the staff friendly and helpful, the rates very reasonable and the Sea Point location convenient by bus or cab to the V&A Waterfront, downtown, and the Clifton/Camps Bay beaches.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A hidden gem - We had to book one night in Cape Town and was apprehensive about the low price of this hotel and whether it would be ok. We were pleasently surprised. This is in a fantastic location in Sea Point and had a family room. Although there were four of us and we had beds enough for three! There isn't a pool, but our room had a large outside terrace, with double doors leading out. The staff are really friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): review - Staff extremely helpful.
- Gugulethu (6/5): AVERAGE - The hotel is average and good for short stays. No complaints, except it's a bit tough to locate.
- Sandy (4/5): Report - Neat, clean and staff very friendly
- Andronica (6/5): Holiday at Casa Elena - We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and staff was friendly and we had a warm welcome on our first day.
- Afika (10/5): It was perfect - The hotel was very interesting. The staff were welcoming and always willing to assist. The room was marvellous.
- Werner (10/5): Wonderful stay at Casa Elana - Our stay was delightful. The staff of Casa Elana treated us like thoigj we were family. They are caring and very professional. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
- Hilton Saker (8/5): Comfy but... - Free Parking implies they have dedicated parking facilities - only street parking free round the corner, even if watched by the hotel staff. Extractor from next door restaurant noisy until late and wafting food smells. Pergaps rooms on the other side would be better.
- John Qgini (10/5): The best in sea point Cape Town - It was second time and always the best place to be when am in sea point will give 10 fat lips--
- Cecilie Butenschøn (8/5): Casa Elena - Nice big terrace outside my room - perfect for a smoker like me.
Sea Point is a nice area of Cape Town.
- Verified traveler (4/5): COMFY BEDS - NOT WHAT I EXPECTED BUT THE PLACE WAS CLEAN AND COMFY
- mziwakhe (2/5): Bad treatment - We were treated bad by the hotel staff. They told us that our booking is only for one on our way out.We find our staff at the reception.I am wondering how did they pack ladies underwears. This treatment leaves much to be desired even though an alternative accommodation was given.
- Verified traveler (10/5): fantastic and cozy - This was a great surprise! Enjoyed the location and the people that work there. Place was clean and spacious. Everyone was very helpful and friendly!
- YOLY (2/5): BOOKED PAID BUT NO ACCOMMODATION - Arrived at 9.30pm after having confirmed and paid for booking to find no accommodation available....leaving us stranded in Cape Town having to find alternate accommodation in a already fully booked Cape Town at 10pm at night! todate have had no word on my refund.
- LOTUSHZN (4/5): Dissapointed - Apart from the excellent service from the manager & staff, I found that the hotel condition to be extremely poor. There's a small fan in the room and it can get extremely humid during a summer night. The pictures seen on the net of the hotel can be extremely deceiving. However, the location is extremely convenient. Will not stay there again, I guess you get what you pay for.
- Wabash (8/5): Great little hotel, helpful and friendly staff - I didn't expect much from this hotel, mostly booked it at the last minute for its relatively cheap price. While the hotel won't give you sweeping views of the ocean like some others might, it was charming in its own way, and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Breakfast was adequate and it's a 5-minute walk to the water. Close to restaurants in Sea Point, and a short trip to the beach in Camps Bay.
