From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine kindness. The reception was helpful, always ready to answer questions, offer advice, and make our stay more comfortable. Every single person we met—whether at breakfast, in the corridors, or during cleaning—was incredibly friendly and caring. The location is unbeatable: just a short walk to Istanbul’s most iconic sights, like Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and more. It made exploring the city with kids easy and enjoyable. The hotel itself is slightly old but extremely clean. Housekeeping came every day, and if we needed anything, the staff responded immediately and went out of their way to help. And the breakfast? Absolutely amazing. Fresh, delicious, and full of variety—there was something for everyone, including our kids. It gave us the perfect start to each day. Traveling with children, especially a child with special needs, is not always easy—but here, we felt seen, supported, and respected. The way they treated both of our children, including our toddler, was so kind and thoughtful. That alone meant the world to us. If you're a family, especially with young kids or children with special needs, and want a safe, clean, welcoming hotel in the historic heart of Istanbul, I wholeheartedly recommend Eurostars Hotel Old City. - Jodie (8/5): Charming Hotel in Old Town - Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The hotel is located in a fantastic part of Old Town with a tram stop just a one minute walk from the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and service in the restaurant is excellent. The buffet breakfast was excellent - one of the better buffet breakfasts we enjoyed on our Turkey trip. The rooms are very small, but the decor is nice. We would have appreciated USB ports to charge our devices. The bathroom was ridiculously small and this would be the main reason we wouldn't stay here again. The shower was tiny and there wasn't any room in the bathroom to store toiletries.

- Mohamed (10/5): Very good hotel, defiantly will come back - The hotel is on central location on Sirkeci, its a few steps from resturants, coffeshop with shiaha, Pharmacy, clothings, and any store you need during your stay. There are a tram station and metro station on Siekeci and its located between Eminönü, and sultan ahmed tram stations, so you can travel easily during your stay. although the overall stay is good, but the hotel got some issues. The elevators is too narrow, it can hold 2-3 persons at once. On winter the rooms is too hot because of central heating you cant turn it off and the air conditioner is disabled! This is shared with every hotel i have been on istanbul. Noise, the hotel is on central location and this come with noise from traffic and people on the street; if you take the top floor, seagulls stay on the roof and you can hear their steps all night! if none of the above is a problem for you, this is a good hotel to stay on, do not hesitate.

Could not stay in this hotel and had to move to another..
- travellersimsim (6/5): Expensive and not worth it - First off, The location is good. The room had two windowes. They presented fresh fruits and vegetables at breakfast. The room is nice. Although there are many things to be fixed in the bathroom and it looked like it wasn't used I found dead mosquitoes in the shower. However, the noise coming from the people staying outside the hotel wether it is guests or the resturant is very loud up to 2 after midnight. We arrived at 18:00 evening hours, the reception guy was very rude when we asked him politely to check if there are rooms in upper floors, we only asked didn't even insist. After 12 hours of travel, we only wanted the room. We stayed 5 nights in this hotel. They charged us 90€ per night for one room. For this price we could have gone to a way better hotel with better treatment and breakfast. The breakfast room there were flies, i would suggest you work on hygiene. AND NO tell your breakfast manager, CORONA IS NOT OVER. You can keep that to yourselves. Some of us actually lost loved ones to Covid 19. Just respect it and dont comment on guests wearing masks the whole time we stayed every morning he had to comment on it, even if you mean well just stop. We were told breakfast opens at 07:00, the day we had a trip, we were there at 07:00 and the resturant was not ready. So just update your guests. And when it is 09:00 they stop refreshing food. So just pay attention not to be late for your breakfast. Actually the breakfast had a variety of food but I just rather to buy outside since the coffee is not tasty, I found a beard hair in the vegetable salad. So again HYGIENE IS IMPORTANT. breakfast room is relatively small and has low celieng which is a nightmare. Overall I would not want to come back to this hotel nor Istanbul again.
- haroons799 (2/5): Shower is a disaster, terrible seagull noises from a nest outside the window. - With mixed feelings (rage and disappointment) I have no choice but to give the Eurostars Hotel in the old city in Istanbul a 1 star rating out of 5 (since there is no option to give them zero or negative stars). We got a room in their attic, a real attic, with a slanted wall. There was only 1 meter (3 foot) of straight ceiling. This was so bad that the shower was no fit for an adult person. The glass door of the shower could be opened only ~40 centimeters (~16") because it bumped into the slanted wall/ceiling. Fortunately I still have above average flexibility from my years of gymnastic training - it didn't get me to the olympics but it helped me get into the shower and out of it without suffering severe injuries. But I wasn't lucky all the way through because I bumped my head on the wall several times every time I took a shower. On the bright side, maybe I'll suffer from amnesia because of these bumps and I'll forget all the sufferring during this vacation. Oh, I almost forgot (told you, head injury, amnesia..) - the room had no normal windows because it had no straight wall. It had a window in the slanted roof but we couldn't open it because there was a seagull nest outside with a chick in it which made noise when it was hungry (or bored) and the mother seagull came to visit and bring food and mainly to complain how bad was her day (she kept yelling while talking). Someone like me who doesn't live close to the sea might think that the sound of a seagull in the sky is nice, but when it's outside your window it sounds like a donkey. If you ask me it should be called seadonkey instead of seagull.

- PAQUITO-VIAJERO (2/5): Not anymore - Hotel of a very low category. Rooms are super small you can not open your luggage. Smells like someone smoked before. Window facing ugly patio. We could easily hear closer rooms, need some renovation, staff at reception not helpful. For such hotel and services, prices should be much much lower. Only good thing is that is centraly situated for touristic places, but not even spending another night in here.....
- fatimas234 (4/5): Convenient area but needs improvement in service. - The hotel’s location is so convenient for tourists. Close to many attractions and touristic destinations and bazaars. 10 minutes walk to Mahmut Pasha Bazaar, Egyptian Spice market and the Grand Bazaar. 2-3 minutes walk to Eminonu and Maramay Stations. The hotel itself is surrounded by many local cafes and shops. However, there’s alot of noise at nights even though its not a heavily crowded area but the car noises and honks can be disturbing sometimes. The rooms were neat but a little old and the toilet we got had cracked wall. They should be renovated. Also, the receptionists weren’t the friendliest you can find over there. They could’ve been more polite and helpful. Their breakfast was good but it was the same for the 4 nights we stayed there. Overall i’ll rate it 6/10.

- Basil (2/5): Never again in this hotel - I booked a standard room. When I arrived the receptionist said the hotel is fully booked and we have only two choices for you. The first one is a room in the first floor towards the end of the hallway looked like a storage room for luggage. There was a server room next door that kept peeping all night. The window in the room overlook the AC units for the entire hotel and had the smallest window I have ever seen. When we asked to change the room, they said your other option is a smaller room without a window. The Bell Captain kept winking at me giving me a sign to say no. We tried to change the room the following day but we were told there is no way. So we got stuck in this room for three days in this storage room. As you are in Istanbul you expect to have a nice Turkish breakfast, but we had was basically the cheapest breakfast you can get and I wouldn't call it Turkish breakfast. For the three days we were there we skipped breakfadt at the hotel and chose to have breakfast somewhere else. The entrance of the hotel is from an alley, so taxis can't reach the hotel, so you have to carry your luggage. Exactly in front of the hotel a resturant that is always busy and very unclean and discusting. The hotel is rated 3 star but I wouldn't give it 1 star. It is over priced and does not worth more than $20 a night.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The second I arrived to my room the toilet was filthy and when I called the reception to clean it they came to my room and they will clean it the next day but they didn't.. I took pictures of the toilet seat and posted it on google maps and you can see for yourself and I wasn't surprised when I saw other people's comments on the same thing, and top of that, I paid extra on EXpedia for flexible dates and free cancelation, and when I had an emergency due the pandemic and I needed to change my dates and i contacted them 3 days before my check in date and i had the right to change it till the day of the check in.. the hotel staff and the management were soooo rude to me and they refused to refund my money even though I showed them Expedia receipt and that I have "plan protection" and that I paid for a refundable/flexible booking. they took over 350 dollars from me and I only stayed there for one night because I couldn't take that disrespect anymore,, and the only reason I stayed that night was because I was so tired from my flight that day and I couldn't even sleep from the noise and the other hotel occupants who had like 7 children who wouldn't stop crying all night in the hallways of the hotel.

Walking to the port was easy for our ride up the Bosphorus and, following the tram line a street over, you could reach all the main sites in a 15 minute walk. The staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was substantial. It was not "touristy" and felt quite authentic. Across the street from local shopping and about 15 minutes to the Grand Bazaar. There was no balcony but there was a pleasant patio off the foyer. We would highly recommend this hotel! Also liked the front desk guy that was studying to be a translator and had quite good English.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Stayed at this hotel for one night. It is right in the middle of everything and very easy and convenient to get around in the area. Very close to all tourist attractions and plenty of food options all around. The staff were awesome as well. I truly appreciated the fact they let me check in at 9am when I arrived at the hotel from the airport. It gave me the opportunity to take a little nap and refresh before hitting the town and begin exploring. I would definitely stay here again!

All are within walking distance to major tourist attraction like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Bassilica Cistern a Topkapi Palace, Spice Market, Grand Bazaar & Galata Tower...,. If you prefer less walking, please take T1 tram that only 150m from the hotel. I prefer walking to see more on street. Also just opposite the train station is the Eminünö ferry jetty that could take you to Büyükada/ princes island by ferry. The breakfast choice is fantastic, lots of varieties. Staffs here are friendly for sure. Love it here.

From the bell boy, receptionists, cleaning lady, to the restaurant manager. Everyone was helpfull and their recommendation was spot on. The condition of the hotel and the location were excellent too. The hotel is a waking distance from Aya Sofia, Egyptian bazar, and Galata bridge. I highly recommend this hotel and will probably return to it the next time I am in Istunbul. The best value for your money.
- Renovation is what it needs (2/5): OMG - it was a terrible experience that lasted 2 hours while 3 nights were booked, never ever will even think of going there without a Gas Mask for the smell of everything.

- Abdallah (6/5): OK hotel in a very good location - The room they first gave us was on 6th floor, with ceiling starting at around 2.5m high going down to 1.5m ! The person on reception said he would change the room the day after, but they were sort of "surprised" that we didn't like the room, guess they expect ppl to watch their heads while walking in a 3x3 room !! The room they gave us second day was on first floor, window doesn't open fully and cant get fresh air in the room ! another less important "issue" was when I asked for "extra" Nescafe packs, which cost 20 cents or less. they have a strict policy of 2 packs and 2 coffee mate packs per day , bit surprising. The breakfast was good enough, had everything needed.

The complete Hotel staff ,from desk staff ,concierge ,breakfast room staff, all fantastically friendly and helpfull. We stayed 7 days, with not 1 day being disappointed in any form. We vertualy formed a " friendship " with some staff members . The buffet breakfast excellent ,although very much Typical Turkish ,supplemented with some typical western- European Breakfast styles,include the a great variety of breads. Breakfast lounge very clean with excellent managerial and support staff being extremely attentive .we feel very confident to recommend this Hotel and we or either of us will certainly return ,if we visit Istanbul again,which was like a dream come true!
