Guest Reviews
- Ian (2/5): - Staff were very pleasant Housed homeless people and lots of beggers outside
- Joseph (8/5): -
- Bugby (7/5): -
- Manuel (7/5): -
- Sarah (5/5): Great location but bed was too small and only had 1 pillow each. - Great location near the sea, shops and city centre Basic room, bed was a small double, very low and only 1 pillow each. Tea/coffee was not replenished and we stayed 2 nights so expected it to be.
- Shaima (10/5): - Very goodddd coollllll
- Annika (7/5): -
- Radhika (5/5): Alright if you want to stay in the city centre in a budget. - The location. The mattresses are really bad, after a long day walk when you look forward to relax in the bed and find the mattress too springy and uncomfortable is not pleasant. Also the breakfast spread isn't great at all.
- Anette (9/5): -
- Natalia (9/5): 👍🏻 - Second time in this hotel. Excellent location, quiet rooms, great for 3-4 days to stay
- Keith (7/5): Good value for a one night stay for two people. - Nice and simple, easy access, comfortable. Very straightforward for a one night stay. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was Ok but could do better with scrambled eggs and the cereal options. The room layout was odd - TV above desk, not directly in line with the bed. Plug and light on one side of the bed only. The only chair in the room was the desk chair.Maybe because the room layout was designed for one not two people.
- Zoe (7/5): Breakfast wasn’t warm - Good Good location and not nice room
- fatos (6/5): -
- Artur (8/5): - Pokój, łazienka Śniadania, mały wybór
- terry (9/5): - All of it apart from the sausage All of it
- Aryazaid (9/5): Good overall stay - Location and staff Too expensive and cleanliness could be better
- Matthew (6/5): -
- Nickola (7/5): -
- Hayden (4/5): Okay on a bughet - Quite cheap in comparison to nearby hotels. Having a fridge in the room was a nice bonus. Also very convenient location being right on the high street Toilet had a very unpleasant smell, which could strangely be found in the communal areas of the hotel too. Only provided with two very thin pillows so I had to request 2 additional at reception. Bed was noisy and mattress a bit too soft for my liking
- Rachael (6/5): - Location. Friendly helpful staff Matress too soft and was bigfer than bed base
- Becky (5/5): Good location and clean, but noisy and uncomfortable sleep. - The location was great. Good to have breakfast included, albeit basic. They accommodated athletes participating in the marathon so they could have the included breakfast before their race which was a nice touch. Fridge in room handy. Staff were nice. The room was very basic, like student accommodation rather than what is shown in the pictures. The bed was really old and creaky and mattress lumpy. It was incredibly noisy throughout the night you could hear the slightest movements elsewhere in the hotel, we didn’t really sleep the 3 nights we were there. Disappointing that turnover/room clean is not included when staying for multiple nights.
- Andrew (8/5): Stayed for marathon. Price doubled for that night £250 a lot for a 3* room with no TV. Location was excellent and room c - Great location / clean / helpful staff Very very soft bed. Very basic room but as expected I guess for 3* but very expensive with no TV. Average breakfast.
Very expensive for marathon o/n stay. Following night was 50% less !
- Charlotte (1/5): The pictures are no reflection of my room. I was in a student dorm room. Dark dingy, dirty bathroom no tv. - Nothing Everything
- Ryan (10/5): -
- Lisa (3/5): Over priced for a hostel like accommodation - Central location Basic run down dirty over priced
- Sabina (8/5): -
- Kim (6/5): - Location No view, basic
- Valentine (8/5): location location - convenient and centrally located
- SAIRAH (2/5): - Location.
Most staff seemed friendly. Cold room- no working heater
Impractical set up; TV not in front of bed, one bedside table
Bathroom was malodorous throughout stay.
Stains noted on bedsheets/pillow cases
- Shilpa (8/5): -
- Svitlana (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Couldn’t fault anything. Will return! - Friendly and central
- Jörg (8/5): - Gute Lage.Preis Leistung sehr gut. Frühstück verbesserungswürdig.
- Ghadeer Badr (8/5): -
- Casey (4/5): Not very good very basic wouldn’t stay again. - Good location is about it. Very basic no parking not very clear to locate 1 of the staff members were rude for no reason when we came back from our night out with a friend and so called breakfast was pretty much non existent wouldn’t stay here again and there was oil or something on the bathroom door handle.
- Stephen (7/5): Good value in general and great location but the bed was very small for 2 adults and only one pillow meant not a great s - The price for the area was excellent Small beds, blinds let through too much light and only one flat pillow per person
- Tammy (9/5): -
- Annice (1/5): Absolutely disgusting- should be shut down! - nothing! Close it down. The property was FILTHY. Never been so disgusted in my life. I've travelled around the world and never stayed anywhere this awful. Dust balls and hair on the floor, pubic hair in the bathroom & beds, mould on the ceiling & blinds, the fan was incredibly loud and wouldn't turn off the list goes on. Looks nothing like the photos and I had to check out immediately I was so sickened. They have since refused a refund so I am now £197 out of pocket. Would give minus numbers if I could. Nobody stay! Needs to be shut down. Booking.com have been of no help to protect me with this other than offer me £8 refund.... when I paid £197.
- Mélissa (8/5): -
- Daniele (8/5): -
- hubert (8/5): -
- Jones (2/5): - Nothing refused to stay tiny bed, room filthy, feels like a bail hostel Everything room was smelly dirty very small double bed
Did not stay struggling to get money back
- Kate (4/5): Wouldn't visit again - Location and decent shower. Bed was awful. Room was opposite the entrance to corridor so noisy. TV wasn't even opposite bed and couldn't be tilted so struggled. Basic for the price. Breakfast was basic food and could tell it wasn't the best and they had opted for the cheap beans etc. adult hotel but there was a child there having breakfast!
- Stephen (2/5): Dire. - Nothing The smell of body odour, a lack of food at breakfast, a lack of plates and cutlery, no staff on hand to assist with anything. Lame excuses to everything and a refusal to accept any responsibility.
- nicholas (8/5): Lovely stay - Location was great, reception was friendly and helpful. If you're large in size it can be quite uncomfortable with the seated and shower size in the rooms.
- George Lubikowski (8/5): A comfortable room with good service in the centre of Brighton. - Very comfortable with an optional heater. There is a fridge, which is nice. Kettle and tea making equipment. Room service on demand. This was one of several repeat visits.
- Hogan (7/5): Comfortable stay in central location - It’s well located for the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.
- Heywood (6/5): -
- Welton (6/5): -
- Tommi (8/5): -
- Ellie-May (8/5): Overall a good experience - Clean and comfortable, good value for the price and the location is ideal in the city centre. The TV was placed above the desk, so the bed was diagonal to it, which made watching a bit awkward.
- Ashley (8/5): - I like that its central, breakfast is provided, its clean and the staff are juat lovely Not enough millk and coffee, it would be nice if we couls uae the microwavw in the dining area. Also the Tv's are quite small and not always opposite the bed which was weird
- Dionysia (9/5): -
- Tarzstu (6/5): - Room big and good tea and coffee facility. Disabled shower very good as my partner is an amputee. Breakfast was awful. We didnt bother. Needs more selection like fried eggs. No were to park so received a ticket when we came home.
- John (8/5): Overall stay was good but noisy at night due to some staff going about their duties and quests returning to their rooms -
- andrew (3/5): WORST Hotel we've ever stayed in, we won't be going back even if still on the Web. - pleasant reception staff. Breakfast nightmare, nothing left at 9.45 except a few soggy beans. NO bread, fruit juice, milk or hot food, basically
nothing and staff saying there is nothing left, food or drink .
- Jamie (8/5): The hotel was clean, in a good location and was a good price for an overnight stay - Clean and good value Nothing it was just an overnight stay
- Katrina (4/5): Very disappointing - Location Mould in the rooms and bathrooms , shower not working properly , complaint sent and ignored
- Nicola (7/5): Decent cheap stay - Perfect location, right in the middle of everything. We got availability last minute before the Brighton Half Marathon. You get what you pay for and considering the price, I thought it was a really decent stay. Bed was comfy, it came with breakfast included, had a nice hot shower. We were barely in the room so don’t have many negatives for the hotel. For future guests, parking is not included (although not many places in Brighton offer parking). We parked at Regency Square and for the whole weekend it was £52. There also wasn’t a TV in the room and breakfast was very limited but perfect if you’re not that fussed.
- Patrick (9/5): - Friendly staff. Very clean. Was in a room with a wet room. Missed regular shower.
- Rebecca (5/5): Staff were lovely breakfast was awful - Easy to find and central Very basic
- Brian (10/5): Great getaway - Everything Nothing
- Daz (7/5): -
- Gareth (8/5): Better than I expected - Clean and comfortable. Good value and better than I expected. Breakfast is a bit basic. I also wanted to make a slight change to the dates of my stay and was refused, yet the place was nowhere near full.
- Weronika (10/5): -
- Louis (9/5): - Freindly staff and good location and value for money No TV in the room felt very basic
- Mark (7/5): - I've stayed here a few times and always enjoyed it. Excellent staff and fabulous location. The lovely young woman at check-in noticed that we were staying for 4 nights so offered us a room that is normally reserved for disabled people, but as it was available we took it. Fantastic room! Very spacious and a great bathroom with a walk in shower. Despite the weather being awful the room was always warm.
Excellent WiFi speeds If you want a room clean and airy change of bedclothes and towels you have to request it before 11am on the day. We did so about 9am after our second night. We were told that it would be done at about 11am, so we made a point of leaving the room before then and earlier than we had planned. Unfortunately when we got back in the early evening our room hadn't been touched. I had to go to reception and ask for clean towels. The staff were lovely and happy to oblige but disappointing that their cleaners had apparently ignored the request.
Also the quality of the breakfast has certainly declined since my last visit. Very poor quality sausages and bacon, and a lot less choice for the continental.
If it hadn't have been for the two issues mentioned I would have given it a much higher star rating.
- Melanie (8/5): - Very comfortable and included breakfast.
- Steve (9/5): - Comfortable, easy access to town and beach area. Nothing
- Yuliana (10/5): -
- Samuel (10/5): - I will recommend Britanian study to anyone looking for places to stay.location was excellent.receptnist was helpful. The entire environment was decent.room size was okay and it was valued for money .break fast was woow. It was good and l enjoyed my stay.we will come back when ever in Brigthon
- Jason (8/5): - Clean, easy to find, exactly what you need for a central location to base yourself thats close to everything. Only negative is the local homeless seem to like hanging about outside the entrance on and of during the day. Bit of an pain only getting 1 key card between 2 people for the room given you need it to have the lights on and to get in and out of the buiding.
- Edward (9/5): - Great value, simple and clean throughout. Excellent location Pretty loud bathroom fan
- Jordann (7/5): -
- Adriana (10/5): - everything i can not truly complain
- Ali (10/5): -
- Ed (8/5): -
- Caterina (8/5): - Posizione comoda centrale
- Clive (7/5): -
- Yousefi (8/5): -
- Blake (10/5): -
- Subhash (9/5): -
- Mark (7/5): - Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, fantastic location. Nothing.
- Spencer (7/5): - Price Price location
- Yuliana (10/5): -
- Marcel (4/5): Poor hotel. Good location. Nice Breakfast. - Location, friendly staff. Breakfast. First room had small windows, felt like a prison cell. Changed room. No one cleaned the room all weekend.
- NICHOLAS (7/5): -
- Yuliana (10/5): I love everything! Highly recommend it! -
- Heinz (8/5): -
- Hazel (9/5): Good value, great location, very clean - Very good value. Very clean. Nice room. One thought, there was enough room for a comfy chair or small sofa. Breakfast great and good choice of food and drink There was enough space in the room for a comfy armchair or small sofa. That would have made the room more cosy. Otherwise was sparse but fine and clean
- Immobiliare (7/5): - Soggiornato la vigilia di Natale. Struttura senza troppe pretese, camera pulita, colazione minimale. Prezzo contenuto.
- Georgina (8/5): -
- Andrew (4/5): Disappointed due to infestation of bed bugs attributed to poor house keeping - Location breakfast, size of the room , warm Mouldy damp spare pillows.
BED BUGS - severely bitten requiring medical treatment, spoke to reception on the morning of check out,and asked to be contacted by management via my email . Have had NO RESPONSE from management to date. Requested financial compensation, for time off work to see my doctor and for feeling ill.
- Pirjo (8/5): Mukavapaikka mutta sää ei suosinut - Aamiainen hyvä. Loistava sijainti. Jääkaappi ok samoin tallelokero Sänky natiseva jouset vetää viimeisiä. Saisi olla leveämpi tai sitten kaksi vuodetta .
- Kris (6/5): -
- Neela (8/5): Great stay, clean hotel, good breakfast. - Great location and clean room Noisy outside the room window. Sounded like a fan which turned on and off all night.
- Duncan (7/5): A good hotel for a straightforward weekend break in Brighton. - Nice clean hotel with friendly staff in a great location. A few little things:
1) No mini shower gel and shampoo in the room’s bathroom,
2) No hashbrown or potatoes in the buffet breakfast,
3) Creaky bed and noisy blinds that knocked against the window most of the night as it was hot meaning we needed them open. No air con.
