- Dion (4/5): Fire broke out and the owner tried to cover it up. Threatening the occupants with a call to police - The queen suite provided what was needed for the weekend. Everything was ok for the most part for me and a few others. Our room was clean and accomadating. A fire had broken out of a room that a few of my friends belongings were in. Upon looking, the smoke detector was covered with plastic wrap. Over 15k of stuff was ruined and destroyed. The owner of the property tried to blame the occupants, as well as made up a story saying they were on drugs and started the fire. I personally know the occupants as well as their backgrounds of prior military that does not allow such things. My friends were not compensated for their rooms nor were apologized to for the inconvience. The owner tried to send them to another hotel that his cousin owned, but they would have had to pay for a whole seperate room instead of it being free. A picture was posted on fb about the room and someone pointed out that the ceiling had a certain material missing, which is needed to protect the room from fires, meaning the room has had prior incidents of fire before hand. Not long after the fire was put out. Several employees were seen going to the room to clean it up and cover up the incident before a forensics team was to come and find the cause of the fire, therefore tampering with evidence. Very disappointing to see this happening. I may not want to book another room with them again if they are willing to cover their tracks instead of taking responsibility for destroying governmental equipment.

She gave us the room she was told would be ready for us. unfortunately when we went inside the room was a mess. garbages cans full, bed un made and slept in. used towels around the room. we went back to the service desk and she was very apologetic and fixed the issue as quickly as she could. we were out into a new room and were able to get some much needed rest. the next morning however going up to the front desk, there was a different lady and she was incredibly due and judgemental. we packed out things as quick as we could and tried to interact with her as little as possible

Mold and mildew throughout room. Ended stay halfway through. 1 "bath towel" slightly larger than a hand towel in room. No hangers. Curtain in window to first floor didn't cover entire window. Microwave was simply DISGUSTING. Laminate floor had creases and moved when walking on it. Light bulbs missing in several sockets (keeping the conditions in low light?) I did receive one bulb when I asked for it. Some type of fungus growing on faucet. Still washing mold / mildew smell out of everything 1 week later.

The proximity to the local town wasn't bad either, especially the local playground for my kids to enjoy. I expected small and not luxury, but this "budget" room took me by surprise at how bad it was. The floors were greasy and not clean at all, the microwave was absolutely disgusting, there was no coffee pot despite leaving coffee and cups in the room for guests (make that make sense, please?), the air conditioning barely worked, the mini fridge quit working properly about half way through our stay, the clothing rack on the wall is so crooked that it could be a politician, there's barely any lights in the room, the bathroom was equally bad as the room with broken tiles, the floor looked as nasty as the main floors did, and the shower grate was broken and loose. This doesn't even cover the fact that during the storm that rolled through, it rained through the door because it wasn't even sealed properly. You could feel the wind blowing through the cracks. Honestly, I don't expect a lot for the small price paid, but this went way above and beyond the level of a crappy hotel room. Even for budget hotels. Feel like I need to sanitize myself and my entire family and anything we brought with us. Can I give a negative on the scale? If I could, I would.

- brittany (10/5): Great Little Hidden Gem - The rooms are definitely cozy, clean, and smoke free. The bathroom and shower space is beautifully renovated even the front office is absolutely stunning. The hotel grounds was clean there was a exxon station walking dustance of next door. Front office clerk and im assuming owner was friendly and accomodating even when my key didnt work on first try. The atmosphere upon arrival was friendly and welcoming. Beds are soft, shower temp as hot as i typically enjoy, TV Carried nice channel selections. Overall im definitely spending here again when im in the area visiting friends.

Early wake up by cleaning staff after getting in at 4:00am Shower floor caving in during shower at 3:00am then being accused of mistreatment of faulty flooring and never getting a response from manager after reporting incident, just threatened to charge for repairs!

- LAUNA (2/5): - I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at The Winton Inn & Suites, and it was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I entered the room, I was hit with a strong odor that can only be described as a combination of mildew and stale cigarettes. It was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned or aired out in quite some time. Even though I had to wait for the room to be cleaned after the stated check-in time. The first thing that caught my attention was the state of the floors; they were dirty and sticky, making me hesitant to walk barefoot. The bed linens were no better – they were musty and full of dog hair.

The bathroom roof was leaking onto the toilet, no light in the bathroom room 139 also the main door to the room doesn’t close properly. I didn’t take pictures because I’d let the man at the front desk know before hand what the conditions were in the bathroom.

I will be calling them direct from now on since the booking sites have way different prices and don't showcase the suites. This place also made me feel safe staying here as there is an inner court that passer byers don't have access. Slept very good! I will only stay here when going through this town. Thank you Sonny. I don't have anything negative to say. Each time anything was brought up Sonny and his staff took care of it. I would recommend staying here if ever in this area or passing through. Thank you Sonny and staff for your hospitality.

The door trim had been tore off by the chain, possibly a forced entry. The room next door was exuding marijuana smoke, and a prostitute was leaving the room when I arrived. There was no tv remote. The renovation of the bathroom was done by inexperienced or shoddy workmen. The shower bed was not laid right, and so it holds water. The room smelled weird too. Luckily I was just there to sleep, and shower.

Drink machine didn't work the first room I was in had no microwave and it wasn't made clear to me on the website that my room would not have a tub. I stayed at this inn 30 years ago but things have changed dramatically it has definitely lost this charm. They need to update the courtyards and make it more inviting for the guest.

- Stacy (2/5): HOT MESS - The wifi did not work. The cable on the tv did not work. There was no free breakfast. All of that was a lie. The room was dirty. I had to go and get cleani g supplies. And the worst of all roaches crawling all over the wall and funiture..

- Krista (8/5): Very nice - Bed was nice and comfortable. Very nice stay. The check in gentleman was very nice and accommodating. That the shower water was freezing.
- chris (6/5): - The TV would not work. The floors were not clean. It had a very weird smell in the room. The shower was very nice. It seemed like they tired to update date the rooms but didn't finish the Renos.

- Carl W (6/5): - Very good place for an overnight stay. Room was clean and quiet. The beds are extremely high: close to two feet off the floor. Very difficult for anyone under 5'6" to get in. The food area was closed when we got in at 4pm and closed again when we left at 9am. Plenty of coffee in the room and the little pot worked well. Bare wood floor was great for not worrying about the puppy.
- Verified traveler (4/5): looked like it was under renovations - Room was awkward to get to & we were given no directions. The office isnt marked well and wasnt really manned. Looked like it was under renovations, but no work was being done.
