• Ryan (10/5): - This is such a beautiful property. It was so well kept, the staff was so nice & welcoming. Rooms were clean and had spectacular views. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. There is also a boat rental place next door which we took advantage of and loved it

About an hour to get into a larger city with train stations-it’s a pretty remote area. Would be great for older couples. The town shuts down early on Saturdays and pretty much closed on Sundays. The restaurant was great. The inside of the hotel room is very old and dated. No AC and it was very hot at night. A fan in the room would do wonders in terms of comfort.

Quiero dar las gracias especialmente a Manuela en recepción y Jovanka (que me perdone si no lo escrubí bien) en desayunos por el trato. Preciosas vistas al lago y platos exquisitos en el restaurante.

• Susana (4/5): - Positif : son emplacement, le balcon (bien que pas très propre et entretenu) et la vue. Négatif : Cet hôtel n'a pas de réception, selon le directeur c'est le principe des hôtels Garni, mais cela nous ne le savions pas avant et ce n'est pas du tout indiqué. La photo de la chambre ne correspond pas du tout à celle qu'on a eu. Il n'y a pas de salle à manger et aucune des commodités indiquées. Il faut se rendre à pied en passant par l'extérieur pour prendre le petit déjeuner à l'Hôtel Central (sympas les matins de pluie) qui lui à bien ces commodités. Nous avons réservé et payé 3 nuits pour une chambre de 18m2 et on se retrouve dans un pièce de 13m2. Malgré notre réclamation, il n'y a pas eu de solution ni de geste commercial de leur part, au contraire, il nous demandait 80.- Chf/nuit pour un surclassement...tout simplement scandaleux. Pas même une bouteille d'eau lors de notre arrivée et aucun produit de bain offert comme indiqué sue le site Ebookers et celui de l'hôtel. Les oreillers n'ont plus de volume et lorsqu'on a demandé à les remplacer, rien n'a été fait. La pièce est tellement petite, que pour accéder à la terrasse il fallait déplacer le petit fauteuil et faire la même chose pour accéder à l'armoire. On avait vraiment l'impression d'avoir louer une chambre avec AirBnB et non une chambre d'hôtel, car même le nettoyage était pas bien fait. Si on avait su cela avant et pour ce prix, nous aurions choisi autre chose.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Erholsamer Aufenthalt im schönen Weggis - Das Hotel Garni Frohburg ist ein separates Gebäude mit grossen ansprechenden Zimmern, sehr bequemen Bett und tollem grossen Balkon mit Sitzecke und zwei Liegestühlen (1. Stock, Zimmer 11). Direkt am See gelegen, alle 12 Zimmer mit Seeblick. Die Rezeption für das Check-In, der Pool und der Frühstücksraum befinden sich im ca 50 Meter entfernten Hotel Central.
• Brigitte (6/5): Fantastische Aussicht, sonst eine Enttäuschung - Der Empfang war dürftig, keine herzliche Begrüssung oder 'Hatten Sie eine gute Anreise?" Nur Pflichtprogramm. Auch hat man es bei der Zimmerbestätigung unterlassen, uns mitzuteilen, dass das Check-in im Hotel Central stattfindet. Wir bekamen ein schönes Zimmer , mit guten Betten und einem grossem Balkon und wunderbarer Aussicht auf den Vierwaldstättersee. Nur leider war es nicht sauber, im Bad gab es noch Haare von den Vorgängern und im Spiegelkasten auch noch ihre Zahnbürsten. Der Kleiderschrank war sehr staubig, da gab es noch eine Tasche mit augeklebten Etiketten von Gästen, Datum 20.04...wie auch immer..Der schöne Parkettboden war auch schmutzig, wir haben uns selber beholfen. Auch der schöne Balkon liess zu wünschen übrig, die Sonnenstore war zerrissen , die Gartenmöbel schmutzig, Vogeldreck und überall gab es Spinnweben. Das Zimmer war wohl schon länger nicht mehr vermietet, man hat sich vor unserer Ankunft nicht die Mühe genommen, nochmals einen Kontrollcheck zu machen und das Zimmer, wie es sich für diesen Preis gehört, entsprechend zu präsentieren. Das Frühstück hingegen war sehr gut, die Mitarbeiter zuvorkommend und herzlich. Der Frühstücksraum mit der angrenzenden Seeterrasse und Garten hatten mediterranes Flair, das war toll. Weggis und der See als Erholungsgebiet haben wir genossen. Ansonsten sind wir vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis des Hotel Frohburg einfach nur enttäuscht.

• Magnus (8/5): W A R N I N G - Not the hotel seen on the photos - Before telling about the hotel we did stay at it needs to be established that the photos represent the mother hotel - Central - where all facilities are located. Including the reception. Ok it's only 75m away, but still. It is a clear misrepresentation to show a pool, and stylish rooms of another hotel. It only takes a couple of minutes to take proper photos of the actual property, stating clearly that ALL facilities are at a neighbour hotel and potential guests can make up their mind whether or not to book it. The Frohburg is actually quite ok. Rooms are large with good baths and seem fairly newly renovated with fantastic lake and alp views. A nice sunterrace with direct access to the lake. The breakfast and pool at the main hotel is great and at the small marina one can rent pedal oats and SUPs. There are also a restaurant that we never tried. All in all Frohburg is certainly not three star and certainly not at par with the price quoted. But this is Switzerland and Weggis... If the price difference is small why would anyone stay here rather than at the main hotel. If the owners also renovate the outside of the building it will probably be a quite ok 2/3 star facility.

I have mention before that we are vegetarian so that they can provide something for breakfast .. but they did not provide anything g and wen I requested for bread to one of lady staff .. she was really rude .. very disappointing
• Andreea (8/5): Great location - We had a great stay at this hotel, the location is right on the lake and you have a great view from the room. The hotel is like an extension of the Central Hotel which is right next to it and that is where you have breakfast and you can use the outdoor pool. The cleaning is superficial but we could not complain as we had a 3 days stay only. If you want to have a great view of the lake and are happy to self manage, this hotel is perfect. We loved it very much and consider it was great value.

• Richard (4/5): Not a Good Value - Parking was difficult to find in the lot next to the hotel. Eventually moved to another parking area that was a 5-minute uphill walk away. WiFi wasn’t easy to obtain. We were given the code for the wrong hotel; tried to call reception to get the correct code, but the phone wasn’t set up to call out. So I made another trip to the Hotel Central to get the corrrect code. That code worked on one of two networks with the same (identical) name. Eventually we got one device to work, but the other device never would connect. Shower was very slow to drain. This Junior Suite was our most expensive room on our month long European vacation; it was not a good value.

• Subroto (8/5): Beautiful lake views to enjoy from the private bac - For Switzerland, this was an inexpensive hotel. There is no staff on site (one must go to the next hotel to check in). But the view is magnificnt and every room faces the lake. For the price, the view was a steal. Other, more expensive hotels, have village views, and mountain views, but the lake view rooms are a premium. This was not. The small baclony with a little table and two chairs was nice to sit out on. Down side is there is no coffee/tea facilities in the room. But if you want to simply relax, the check in early and stay until the end. A very hearty breakfast was served in the next hotel and included in the tariff. The check in was easy and the staff was helpful. Highly recommended!!!

• Sheena (8/5): Stunning views of the lake! - We stayed in August and enjoyed spectacular views across the lake from our room and balcony. Room was spacious and hotel is conveniently located for boat service, the cable car and restaurants. A little expensive, as with everything Swiss, but worth it for the views. Breakfast was ok, and we choose to eat out so can't comment on hotel restaurant. Overall, a very enjoyable few days in Weggis, which we loved, quieter than Lucerne, but full of charm.
• H M (8/5): Everything here is about the balcony and the view - Garni Hotel Frohburg: A rather odd sort of place, as it seems part of a business that runs the Hotel Central am See a few metres along the road (where you check in and have breakfast) and the Restaurant Zee below. The Frofburg feels more like a small apartment block and lacks any atmosphere when you enter from the street. But this belies the rooms! All of them I believe, have balconies, and all have a stunning view out over Lake Lucerne. 
Our room was on the top floor, with very spacious accommodation and a large balcony almost hanging out over the lake. The bed, duvet and pillows were all comfortable, and the bathroom spacious and functional. Lots of power points (increasingly important with all the devices we have to charge nowadays). Not luxury standard, but more than acceptable, as the whole thing here is about the balcony and the view.
 Staff at the Central next door were helpful, parking is available, and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. I would rate it a 5 for everything except the rather cold feeling of the public areas…maybe I’m being unfair. But the view and location rate a 6!
• Robert (8/5): Einfaches, aber sauberes Hotel an schöner Lage - Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer mit Balkon. Die Aussicht auf den See und die Berge war super! Ich war wirklich sehr positiv überrascht über die Qualität dieses Hotels. Werde nächstes Mal auf jeden Fall wieder dort buchen. Was fehlte war ein kleiner Kühlschrank.... Das würde die Qualität ohne grossen finanziellen Aufwand massiv erhöhen ..

• Barrie (8/5): Hotel in Weggis - Very good hotel in Weggis Switzerland. Very clean, great views. Only issue was the need to sign in at a different location which was no "big deal".
• Tobias (10/5): Hübsch, ruhig, schöne Aussicht :) - Abgesehen von der leider bereits auf 5 gestellten Heizung (war nachts dann doch sehr warm :)) ein sehr nettes Hotel mit sehr zuvorkommendem Personal.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - La seule note négative est votre site de réservation qui affiche qu'il y a un centre welness avec jacuzzi, sauna et hamam et à l'arrivée rien de cela n'existe. Nous avions choisi cet hôtel en fonction de cela, alors nous étions vraiment déçu.

• Barbara (6/5): Why is nothing as advertised - I have stayed here in the past, the staff was pleasant, and the front desk staff went beyond their way to be helpful. However when I booked on Hotel.com, I specifically selected the 'Pay Later' option, so that I could use my CC with no international fees at the hotel. My receipt confrimation clearly states I will be billed at the hotel at the time of my stay. In addition, the cost for this option was higher than the "Pay Now' option. However when I arrived at the hotel I was informed, they have already taken the payment at the time of the booking through Expedia. So I was billed at the time of booking (Pay Now). Really?.....Really, so I was charged a higher fee, than the pay now fee (because I selected pay later), plus the credit card charged applies international fees. The one I wanted to use at the desk does not charge international fees. Hotels.com blames the hotel and the hotel blamed my booking agent. I will not use either Hotels.com or stay at this hotel in the future. One other comment to the hotel toilet paper should be amply replaced, I should not have to skulk back to the front desk for this. This trip has been full of individuals taking more of my money in 'administrative mix ups'. This is the first time I have had this problem, and the last wtih either establishment.
