• MARIE THERESE (8/5): - Au début nous pensions que nous allions quitter cet hotel à cause du bruit, 3 boites de nuits à ciel ouvert juste à coté c'était infernal, mais après avoir fait un peu le tour et vu ce que nous avons trouvé d'autre pour le prix, finalement de bonnes boules quies et 3 nuits d'entrainement ont fait l'affaire.L'hotel était propre, les lits confortables et les gens aimables. Tout de même à déconseiller pour les personnes qui ont le sommeil fragile. Sinon rapport qualité prix c'est très bien.
• DARIO ARTURO (8/5): El "Party" en el nombre del hotel le va excelente. - Definitivamente el hotel es perfecto para quiénes no piensan dormir en las noches y esperan pasar la noche en los antros y bares de la zona. Esta junto a Mandala y muy cerca de La Vaquita y demás lugares, por lo que las noches no son calladas ni tranquilas, pero después de las 5:00 am la paz reina. Si lo que quieren es ahorrar y piensan descansar durante el día, este es el hotel indicado (además que da más seguridad en caso de salir muy devastado de la fiesta ;)

• frank b. (6/5): Not located to sleep - When we booked we weren't sure what the party meant in the hotel name. When we first arrived they had ear plugs in the front desk and it was quiet until 10pm. The location is great, it's right on the middle of everything but is less then a block away from at least 4 night clubs that stay open until 5am!!! The room was clean and the staff was friendly, but the shower head needed to be replaced and the double beds are for short people and the matress isn't that much comfortable. If you want a good night sleep you won't get it, but if you party all night and want to sleep during the day then it shouldn't be a problem.

• JUAN IGNACIO (2/5): PÉSIMO SERVICIO - Pésima atención al personal, la recepcionista de la noche es muy grosera y tiene a su perro que huele muy mal en el lobby. Las almohadas huelen muy mal y las habitaciones no cuentan con TV y son muy húmedas.

LO MEJOR: ESTA A UNA CUADRA DE LA QUINTA AVENIDA Y A UNA DE LA PLAYA, EL DESAYUNO SE SIRVE EN UN RESTAURANTE DE LA 5o. AV. MUY A GUSTO, VALE LA PENA. • Verified traveler (8/5): Excelente ubicacion, pero en zona de antros - El hotel esta ubicado exactamente al lado del Mandala, a menos de 100mts de una nueva plaza comercial. El ruido de los antros es significativo pero dentro de las habitaciones esto disminuye, no le impide el descanso a nadie. Las habitaciones para dos personas un poco apretadas en tamaño sin llegar al extremo.

• Cyn (2/5): Disgusting! - Fortunately, and unfortunately I could not stay the 3 days I had booked at the Tropicana due to an emergency back in the states, but it is just plain disgusting and not worth a single cent of your hard earned money. The rooms are simple, small, the beds feel like horrible and had stains on both the sheets and pillowcases. The floors were dirty and I came across pubic hairs as well as long hairs. I refused to lay on any part of my body on those beds, much less put my luggage on the floor for fear of bedbugs. It's just not worth it. Spend a little more and you'll feel more at ease and comfortable. I wouldnt wish the Tropicana on my worst enemy.
• DANIEL (6/5): SOLO PARA PASAR LA NOCHE - LA HABITACIÓN NO ESTABA COMPLETAMENTE LIMPIA, LA COLADERA DEL BAÑO ESTABA TAPADA Y SE FUE LA LUZ EN ALGUNOS MOMENTOS EN LA NOCHE. SEGUN ESTABAN HACIENDO MANTENIMIENTOS.
• JC_RAMON (6/5): HOTEL AGRADABLE A UNA CUADRA DE PLAYA Y CENTRO - El hotel esta muy agradable, limpio y cómodo, la alberca esta chica pero se eso no impide que sea tranquila. los únicos inconvenientes que tiene es que al estar a una cuadra de la playa y justo casi en el centro esta rodeado de antros, bares, discotekas, etc. y eso hace que en las noches se escuche el alboroto de la ciudad... pero esa esa es la consecuencia de la buena ubicación.
• Jose Luis (4/5): ¡Que desilusión! - Aunque se encuentra en una zona céntrica, nadie lo conoce por nombre, le llaman "La isla del amor"; es de difícil localización, no cuenta con estacionamiento,es un hotel ya viejo en su construcción, la alberca no se puede utilizar porque la alquilan para clases de buceo, se encuentra rodeada de antros y como nuestro plan era familiar no lo puedo recomendar para las familias, necesitamos algo adecuado a nuestros requerimientos. Del personal no tenemos queja,siempre fueron muy amables.
• CARLOS (2/5): Hotel Casa Blanca - Bien lo que no nos pareció es que inmediatamente nos solicitaron 600.00 pesos de deposito como garantía de tres el único, nos dieron un cuarto con puertas rotas no servían las chapas y no servia bien el baño yo creo que debe de haber otra manera de cobrar si hay daños al hotel, ademas de reparar lo que esta mal supongo que para eso es la garantía y más propaganda y comunicación para los taxistas no lo conocen lo que si les agradezco es que respetaron una noche que aparentemente estaba mal la fecha.

• Victor Javier (6/5): Buen ubicación, mucho ruido del exterior - El hotel está bien ubicado y el servicio bien, pero es muy ruidoso por las noches, a causa de otros hoteles y lugares de diversión que se encuentran cerca del hotel. No pudimos dormir en el cuarto que nos dieron a pesar de que estábamos cansados por el ruido. Le falta poner buenos aislantes en las paredes, puertas y ventanas, ya que el ruido de fuera no se puede evitar seguirá habiendo. No tiene estacionamiento y eso es un problema.
• kozlii (10/5): Best value ever! - Very convenient location and can walk to any nearby venue for food and shopping. 1 min walk to la 5ta avenida. Clean hotel. Has a cenote as a natural landscape. Staff is friendly and hotel is family-owned. The only issue I had personally is the noise level from the nearby clubs, with music until dawn (the mexican way of night life). You can request ear plugs. No regrets. Would stay more! Recommended

• Beaver (8/5): Too much noise! Not the hotels fault. - Actually, I love the Tropicana. Unfortunately it is located in an extremely noisy area of Playa del Carmen. Topicana is in the heart of the PDC "night life" area. I wanted to stay as long as my budget would allow, and in that regard the Tropicana was perfect. It is close to the beach, close to PDC business district. This is both good and bad. Things close to 5th Avenue are more expensive and the music is blaring all night long. I rented a bicycle for $5 a day, so location was no problem. Tropicana has the greatest staff. Excellent even! I acclimated to the music and enjoyed my stay, but I'm too old for that again. As much as I love the staff, the beautiful courtyard and pool, next year I'm staying in Talum. I hope.
• Mathieu (8/5): Nice Stay during BPM Music festival - 1 street down the "city center", so just a bit calmer, the location is really nice... At night, if you're looking for a peaceful place to rest, nightclubs are close, so maybe think about something less centered... People working there are really nice. I enjoyed my stay there, I would recommend it.
• Juan (4/5): Bad Hotel but great location. - This hotel is your place to stay if your plan is too party till 7am every day. Since it is right behind all the clubs, you will not be able to rest or sleep before that time. It is very noisy and your room walls will tremble because of it. The bed sheets smelled and I asked them to be changed immediately. Overall the room was clean. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

• jerry (2/5): nice hotel facility but terribly loud all night - this is a nice little hotel near the beach, small but comfortable. i will never stay there again for one reason. the music from a club next door starts at 8 pm and goes on all night till 6 am the next morning. our beds literally were vibrating from the terrible loudness. the hotel staff knew what was about to happen but didn't tell us. all we wanted from the hotel was a good nights sleep. neither of us could sleep any at all. it appeared to be one of those all night drug scene events like the grateful dead only much louder. it really wasn't so much music as the noise of combining sounds, bass and two or three songs at once to produce the loudest and most irritating sonic experience possible. the hotel could have told us but they didn't , that is what i am most angry about. we had an all day flight the next day and we completely wiped out with from the lack of sleep. shame on this hotel staff.
• maya (10/5): Hotel agradable - Es un buen hotel bien ubicado solamente hay q tomar en cuenta q tiene unos bares cerca y a algunas personas les molesta el escándalo. No cuenta con estacionamiento.
• Luis (8/5): Divertida - Fueron 5 días increíbles. El hotel está a dos cuadras de la quinta avenida y cinco del ADO. La playa a dos cuadras y a 45 minutos de Tulum y Xelha. A cinco cuadras del Ferry a Cozumel y junto de varios antros como el Mandala. Un hotel de playa con alberca céntrico y cómodo. La música muy fuerte en la noche.

• Viajero frecuente (2/5): No es adecuado para descansar - No recomendable para vacaciones familiares, después de la primera noche tuve q cambiar de hotel, justo al frente se encuentra una discoteca abierta q desde las 23:00 revienta sus parlantes como para q todo el mundo sepa que existen. Una pena ya q la atención muy amable. Es un hotel ideal para visitantes q les gusta la vida nocturna

• caro (6/5): "no se puede dormir" - Lamentablemente ni la buena atención del personal del hotel, ni la cercania a la playa o a la quinta, logran hacer soportable el ruido que generan todas las noches los clubes que se ubican literalmente al lado del hotel. NO se puede dormir sin escuchar el drum de la musica.

• Nora (6/5): très bel hôtel mais extrêmement bruyant... - Bonne impression globale, proche de tout, mais des que la nuit tombe les bars et boites qui sont presque collés à l'hôtel font un bruit épouvantable, les chambres ne sont pas insonorisées.. donc l'hôtel est parfait pour ceux qui souhaitent se coucher à 8h du matin.
• veronica (4/5): Hotel malo, no recomendable - El hotel es muy ruidoso, rústico, la regadera espantosa con muy poca presión de agua y el agua caliente tardaba muchísimo en caer, casi hasta que terminaba de bañarme, no había televisión se informó al personal no soluciono nada, el personal sobre todo el del turno nocturno muy decepcionante, incompetente , no sabía ni si quiera que era una terminal bancaria y mucho menos utilizarla, lo único bien era el colchón y la alberca que si estaba limpia.
• Gingy (6/5): Next to Mandala and all nightclubs - The rooms are less nice than pictured, but the real problem comes if you want to sleep. The bars and clubs are terrace like and they close at 6 am so the music is loud and countinuous, just as if you were sleeping at the club's restroom.
• Saby (8/5): Good place for the price - Since I was visiting for pleasure I really liked the place primarily for its convenience. Located at a happening place in playa del Carmen and only a stones throw away from the beach. Quite noisy from the bars nearby so if u r looking for a sound sleep it may not be the place for you. I paid about USD 50 on hotels.com for the place and that's worth every penny
