• Nadin (9/5): A Charming Riad with Warm Hospitality (and a Few Minor Drawbacks) - We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Ryad Salama. The riad is truly charming, with a beautiful garden that feels like a peaceful oasis. At night, it becomes even more special, quiet, softly lit, and very atmospheric. Our room was a good size with a cozy balcony, perfect for unwinding. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was excellent, something not always guaranteed in traditional riads. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were consistently warm and attentive throughout our stay, and both breakfast and dinner were simply wonderful. A special mention to the manager, Lolanda, who always made a point to chat with us during breakfast, a thoughtful, personal touch that made us feel genuinely welcome. One thing to note, the birds in the garden are very much part of the experience. They will, without fail, wake you up around 6am every morning… and they are loud! Charming at first, but something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper and prefer to sleep with the windows open for natural air. Overall, a beautiful riad with great character and genuinely warm hospitality, a place we were very happy to call home for a few nights. As for areas of improvement, towels are not changed unless requested, which may not suit all guests. The WiFi could also be improved, while we were able to connect at times, the speed was quite slow and not quite in line with expectations for a high-end riad.

• Lorenzo (10/5): Un piccolo paradiso nel centro di Fes - Davvero un bellissimo Riad. Il giardino interno è curatissimo, pacifico, piacevole. Lo staff davvero al top nella cura e nel servizio offerto (soprattutto Yolanda, che ha condivido con noi la sua cultura, cortesia e simpatia). La colazione la mattina è un piacere, ben servita e bilanciata, con prodotti di qualità. Si trova in uno dei vicoli sulla strada principale della Medina di Fes, utile per raggiungere le principali zone di attrazione nelle vicinanze, ma anche molto tranquillo da raggiungere la sera. Consigliato prenotare Hammam e Massaggi nel Riad stesso!

The rooms are lovely, the staff is so kind and accommodating, and the food is delicious. We stayed in late January and I appreciated that the dining room is cozy and so beautifully decorated. I highly recommend this property and hope to go back! I loved everything.

• Olga (10/5): MARAVILLOSA EXPERIENCIA.No podría encontrar un Ryad mejor,,,calidad/ precio insuperable. - El desayuno es espectacular ...no falta de nada: tortitas, mermeladas caseras,bizcocho y bollería artesanal, zumo de naranja natural, tortilla o huevos , fruta , yoghourt... incluso café nespresso! Se encuentra bastante cerca de la puerta azul , a pesar de estar en un callejón estrecho , el acceso es bajando por una de las calles principales...a unos 7/10 minutos andando. Impresionante llegar por la noche..abrir la puerta del ryad y encontrar un precioso vergel iluminado Nos alojamos en la habitación Clementine , en la primera planta , espaciosa y con balconcito anexo que da al jardín. Camas muy cómodas. Baño grande con ducha y muy buena presión Llegamos a la tarde/noche y decidimos cenar en el Ryad... todo un acierto!! la cena exquisita, muy bien elaborada y variada...todo con productos frescos y de gran calidad. He viajado varias veces a Marruecos y siempre me he alojado en ryads...el ryad salama es el mejor con diferencia, un ryad precioso, muy cuidado ,totalmente renovado, y con un personal muy atento. Sin duda repetiré!! Gracias Iolanda por tu exquisito gusto y buen hacer. Nos volveremos a ver! ;) Aunque no puedo decir NADA negativo me gustaria hablar del spa.Mi pareja y yo decidimos hacer el hamman y masaje . No espereis una grandes instalaciones....el hamman es justito.. pero suficiente para 2 personas. La chica que nos atendió nos dejó la piel como un bebé :) El espacio para el masaje también es bastante justo...una camilla y poco más ...pero la masajista ..un 10!! qué manos!!! salimos nuevos ...desde luego lo recomiendo!! Por poner un pero...me hubiera gustado que pusieran música de fondo, algo relajante y unas velitas mientras recibes el maravilloso masaje.

• Michaela Primett (10/5): - Ryad Salama was absolutely gorgeous and we loved staying here as part of our four day break to Fes. The courtyard is beautiful with lemon trees and a tortoise! We felt well looked after with the brilliant staff at the Ryad who were always friendly and happy to help. We felt like Ryad Salama was in a great location for exploring Fes, it was easy to locate and in the middle of both of the main routes through the medina so we very got lost. Breakfast was lovely and we adored the Hammam that we booked during our stay. Comfortable rooms, beautifully decorated. Air con and shower worked perfectly. Nothing! It was a great stay.

The room was comfortable and spacious with a large shower and balcony overlooking the courtyard. The breakfast was very plentiful. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is great, situated on a central street connecting the two major medina streets. We visited in January, so we did not use the courtyard or pool. We didn't know housekeeping would come into the room after the first night to make the beds, as there were no 'Do Not Disturb' signs to put on the door.

Un petit bémol pour le 3 ieme lit, qui est en réalité une banquette et qui était très dur et petit. Un vrai lit aurait été plus adapté dans une réservation pour 3 adultes.

• .milica. (10/5): The most beautiful garden - Omg, the garden was outstanding. Once you open the door of the riad the greenery will leave you amazed. It's a great place to have a coffee and just relax. The rooms are a bit outdated and in the old style but comfortable. Ours was way bigger than we needed. The host was super kind and polite. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is right in the middle of souks so you'll need less than a minute to be in the middle of action. Dinner was great! The furniture in the room is in an old style to match the riad vibe, which can be both good and bad. At least a new mattress and it will be perfect.

• Tim (10/5): Perfect quiet hotel in the Fes medina with excellent service - The staff is incredibly friendly and the rooms are beautiful. It really is a boutique hotel with the luxury of a four star resort. The hotel is a bit hard to find for the first time, but that does make it very quiet and peaceful. And you can still walk to a main street in the Fes medina in minutes. I can also definitely recommend taking a massage and a dinner at the hotel. Nothing really.

Mohammed was amazing, as well as the rest of the staff. Room was incredible! Pool was in the middle of the dining area so not really perfect for a swim. But very pretty!

• Bosse (10/5): Traumhaftes Riad in der Medina - Das Ryad Salama ist ein kleines Juwel in der Hektik von Fez. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, toll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Vor allem aber der Blick in den wunderschönen Innenhof mit Pool/Tauchbecken war ein absolutes Highlight. Man hatte kaum die Notwendigkeit, überhaupt das Haus zu verlassen, weil wir uns so wohl gefühlt haben. Da es in der Medina liegt, kommt man dort nur zu Fuß hin. Man kann aber einen Gepäckservice vom/zum Taxi buchen, damit war alles unkompliziert. Wir haben außerdem über das Hotel auch eine Stadtführung und Massagen gebucht, beides war super und vor allem die Führung können wir sehr empfehlen. Wenn wir nochmal nach Fez kommen, werden wir sicher wieder hier buchen.

La stanza chocolatine per tre persone è un pochino piccola ma lo stile e l'atmosfera sono perfetti.  Pulito e con un giardino bellissimo.  Buonissima la colazione e la cena principalmente a base di verdure è la migliore provata nei riad in Marocco. È gestito con moltissima professionalità da Elodie, qualità che non ho riscontrato negli altri riad provati.

• Ilaria (10/5): Ottimo Riad - Bellissimo Riad Camere con tutti i comfort necessari e pulite Ottima colazione e staff gentilissimo. Posizione centrale nella Medina vecchia di Fes El Bali, le vie per arrivarci sono quel che sono ma ci siamo sempre sentiti al sicuro e quando entri nel Riad sei in un oasi di pace, silenzio e natura.

Desayunos ricos y abundantes. Todos los dias diferentes. La ubicación muy bien. Con unas indicaciones facilitadas por el personal nos orientamos fácilmente. Muy cerca de la puerta azul. El personal, amables, atentos... de verdad te ponen todo tipo de facilidades para tu comodidad. Un día que tuvimos excursión temprano nos facilitaron desayunar temprano. El último dia tras dejar la habitación, nos guardaron el equipaje y nos dejaron usar la piscina para refrescarnos. Súper agradecidos. Sin duda si podemos volver a Fez repetiremos. 100% recomendable.

• Lars (9/5): Well worth the monies and your time - All of it, my only gripe and this is a personal preference only. The breakfast start too late for me. And because of that I was without my morning coffee. All they need to make this a perfect boutique hotel is a kettle in the room with tea bags and coffee for their guests. The owner was friendly managers and all the staff was great and reliable. Very peaceful and enjoyable and a perfect location in the Medina. Breakfast starts too late. Needs a kettle for hot water in the room with tea bags and coffee.
• Sadia (10/5): - Beautiful riad with a stunning courtyard! We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the central location. Lovely breakfast and the staff were very helpful especially the gentleman who provided us our tea supplies in the evening!
• Clement (10/5): - Absolutely Gorgeous ryad in the heart of the Medina, yet easily accessible by foot. The property is perfectly cured and maintained, beautifully furnished with antiques and opens onto a planted courtyard with pool. We enjoyed copious breakfasts and dinner served in Limoges' Porcelain dishes, by the live fire place. But what makes this place special, is the quality of the staff, which has been absolutely wonderful, helpful (they organized a night transfer to the airport and even had time to serve us a quick breakfast...all in the middle of the night) and attentive to all our needs, always smiling and available. Thank you Ryad Salama for making our stay such a wonderful and memorable one!
• Tess (10/5): - Beautiful and the staff were so helpful and booked great tours !!! Amazing location but sometimes difficult to navigate around but that’s not the riad’s fault !!!
• Greg (10/5): - Safe. Clean. Welcoming. Easy access to/exit from the Medina. PEACEFUL. Good for the soul. Breakfast is like a gourmet feast, as is dinner (we ate there all three nights because of our schedule). Everything was fresh and they delighted us with new dishes and treats each evening. Then we would read while enjoying mint green tea (sweatened) in the lobby area (more like the living room of a really rich friend with great tastes in decor) or sit on our balcony. Entering Ryad Salama from the busy Medina is like an oasis/Time Machine combo! It is beautifully appointed from the courtyard garden/fountain to the the lobby/dining area to the bed chambers. As with all things, the staff and management make the experience, make you feel welcome and ensure a terrific stay, and they truly nailed it. Suggestion: take them up on the offer of a ride from the airport and a cart for your luggage. Eat dinner there at least once. And hire Jamal G (Tours by Locals) to take you through the Medina. Bottom line is that I loved it and cannot wait to come back.
• Dan (8/5): Beautiful hotel in a great location - but no parking - The breakfast was delicious and the room was very well designed and furnished. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel advertises parking, though there is no parking. When we asked for advice on where to park our rental car, the hotel could not provide information.
• Teresa1988 (10/5): Exceptional - breakfast was amazing, and the patio in the middle with the pool was so relaxing. The room had all kinds of details in decoration that we absolutely loved. Also they gave us fruit on arrival. Nothing :)
• Keith (10/5): - This place was great. There was some confusion upon arrival as there was no one to help with our bags as other riads had porters. We finally got help with cost 20 MAD and we ended up having to pay him 100 MAD and the hotel did not help break our bills into smaller bills - so just be aware. The bar was probably the best part of the experience. The only thing that was awful was the kids staying at the riad - this is not their fault however the screaming of these kids would echo is the small garden area and then the screaming of their parents made it even worse. I don’t know what the riad could do about that but we were glad we were leaving and felt bad for the other guests. The breakfast is way too bit and I worry a lot of the food goes to waste.
• Elizabeth (10/5): - Book this gorgeous Ryad and feel like royalty. My lovely room had an unexpected sitting area and a small balcony. Each meal was superb and the Moroccan salad items differed each day. Try the onsite Hammam bath and massage offering for a unique and relaxing experience. The staff was very supportive and will assist you with any questions. High recommendation..
• Sergio (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing paradise in Fes - The room was fantastic and the facilities were beautiful. Also the staff was very friendly and always available. The food was good and overall price was fair. The location is a bit difficult to get to, although that is the case for most ryads in Morocco. You have to go through the market and different narrow streets.
• Emmatelav (9/5): A heaven of peace in Fez - To begin with, the host Elodie, was exceptional, she was really efficient and she helped me to get picked up from the train station and also she arranged a porter for the distance between the car park and the Ryad. I was able to communicate with her very quickly and it made our arrival so much more enjoyable. The staff that worked in the ryad was kind, reliable, and pleasant, they ensured we had a nice stay. They gave us tea and Moroccan biscuits and were very helpful. The room was huge and spotless, with a beautiful view from the balcony on the green patio and pool. In the room, the AC worked perfectly and it was very relaxing. We had enough towels, which again were clean, the same goes for the bedding, everything was clean and fresh. The ryad itself is quite stunning and it is peaceful, you will be able to hear birds and nothing else. It is also located close to restaurants and shops and it has easy access. We were able to go out at night and have dinner in a beautiful spot, and then just walk back to the ryad. There is nothing I did not really like and this is just a personal opinion. For breakfast I would have preferred Moroccan food, for instance Moroccan pancakes and mint tea. Also the decoration was not entirely my taste, in the bedroom, it was a mix of French and Moroccan things, which for me, lacked a little bit of authenticity, then again, it is only my opinion, I do not mean it in a negative way.

• Karli (10/5): Exceptional - Riad Salama is literally a beautiful, tranquil oasis within the busy labyrinth of the Fes Medina. We loved the beautiful garden, the birds singing in the trees, the friendly roaming tortoise, and the surprisingly deep refreshing pool. The staff were just amazing & so helpful. I wish I could have just picked up this Riad and carried it with me to all locations in Morocco. Nothing
• Kia (10/5): I enjoyed my 4 nights in Fez at Ryad Salama, would love to return - The property is beautiful, centrally located yet so peaceful. Michele’s attention to detail in the restoration of this Ryad is wonderful.
• C (10/5): Exceptional - Michel, Elodie and staff at Ryad Salama exceeded all expectations in hospitality, comfort, accommodation and cuisine. From booking, through having to change the booking due to personal schedule conflict to the stay itself, I always had the feeling that the staff at Ryad Salama were ready to do whatever it took for my family to have a wonderful stay in Fès. Je reviendrai certainement! The only thing I did not like about my stay was that it was not longer. We could have stayed at Ryad Salama for a week and will likely do just that next time.
