When we arrived, are bags were carried up the stairs. We were recommended two fantastic restaurants. The owner booked us in on the underground tour. We had a very enjoyable time. We loved it but others might not appreciate a hotel with character

• Peter (8/5): Nächtigen wie in alten Zeiten. - Das Haus versetzt einen um viele Jahrzehnte zurück, alles ein bisschen "plüschig" und ganz anders als viele der gesichtslosen Einheitshotels. Man muss es mögen, für mich war es ein schönes Erlebnis. Das Badezimmer ist aber modern ausgestattet, und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die zentrale Lage ist ein großer Pluspunkt.

• Reinhold (7/5): Ein angenehmer Aufenthalt in rustikaler Atmosphäre - Die Lage ist sehr gut in der Oberstadt. Schönes altes Haus mit "Flair" und Patina. Sehr freundlicher und umsichtiger Empfang ! Angenehm auch die Parkmöglichkeit in der eigenen Garage. Fussläufig sind die tolle Kathedrale und alle weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten in der sehr schönen Altstadt gut zu erreichen. Gutes Frühstück. Das Türschloss zum Zimmer war etwas "hakelig", Und im Bad fehlte ein Behälter "pour les ordures".

Im Komfort sind Abstriche zu machen. Sonntags schwierig ein Restaurant zu finden, so war es jedenfalls im Dezember 2025 Sanitäranlagen sehr “schwierig”. Treppe zu den Zimmern schwierig zu steigen

De vriendelijkheid en service van de eigenaren waren op en top. Je kon koffie of thee bestellen bij de receptie. Het was fijn geweest als er een waterkoker met thee voorzieningen op de kamer aanwezig zouden zijn.

Zeer oud en authentiek hotel. Mijn vrouw heeft oog probleem en vond de trap en verschillende drempels minder fijn. Probleem, het toilet spoelde slecht door.

Dafür muss man - je nach Tageszeit - etwas Verkehrslärm von der direkt am Hotel vorbeiführenden Zufahrtsstraße in Kauf nehmen. Das Frühstück ist vielfältig und mehr als ausreichend. Wer schlecht mit vergleichsweise weichen Matratzen zurecht kommt, sollte dies vor einer Buchung berücksichtigen. Das reizvolle historisierende Ambiente mit einem leicht verblichenen authentischen Charme vergangener Jahrhunderte seit Errichtung des Gebäudes ist zwangsläufig mit einer gewissen Hellhörigkeit im Gebäude verbunden.

Help into the bedroom with luggage and also bought up tea to the room. Very helpful staff with information and very good breakfast in the morning. we could walk from the hotel to the Cathedral and various lovely restaurants in the old town.

Die Polizei macht ihren Job nicht. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Motorräder sind im Hof sicher untergebracht.

Die Lage ist super, in der Oberstadt, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstück war herausragend gut und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben nichts zu beanstanden, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen!

• Kevin (8/5): Good for an overnight stop and a reasonable price - The location for us was perfect for our trip down to the south. We chose this hotel as it provided very secure parking for our motorcycles. Hotel room was looking a little tired. Bed for me was far too hard, personal as you can’t please everyone.

• Four-macks (10/5): An excellent overnight stop - A delightfully charming and old fashioned hotel, in the most charming, historic town. We spent the night there en route for the Channel Tunnel - very comfortable beds with well equipped bathrooms, and a delicious breakfast - and a very welcoming host (plus parking). Laon is well worth exploring (the cathedral is staggering) - we only had 1.5 hours in the morning before we had to set off for our train, but could have spent half a day-a whole day there. We will return.
