- Markus (10/5): Oberhalb von Zermatt liegt dss perfekte Berghotel - Das Hotel Silvana ist wirklich die beste Adresse im ganzen Tal, etwas oberhalb von Zermatt. Das Spa ist wirklich super gemacht und für Ski- und Snowboardliebhaber gibt es direkt Anschluss an die Pisten des super Skigebiets hier von Zermatt. Das Design der Räume ist wirklich außergewöhnlich da sich alte und neue Elemente perfekt vermischen. Das Team ist auch super freundlich, dazu noch sehr leckeres Essen aus der Küche. Zum Entspannen direkt an der Natur einfach genial. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder hier her. Zermatt hat natürlich viele sehr gute Hotels, aber im Silvana fühlen wir uns immer am Besten. The spa was a fantastic bonus to our stay – a charming and relaxing space that made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the best of the Swiss Alps

The owners picked us up from the train station and explained a bit about the town. They were always checking if we needed anything, but they weren't pushy or intrusive. They will pick you up and take you to the train station for a fee. Easy to get there by taking the gondola to Furi and then a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Would love to go again!!

- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Your experience begins when you take a gondola up the mountain to get to the hotel. It's a bit of a hike, but well worth it as you come up to a beautiful hotel. The main entrance, rooms and especially the pool and spa facilities are out of this world. What tops it all is that the owner is very friendly and personable, and it was such a blessing to meet him. This is one place where I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! Loved it so much we extended our stay. Having to leave!!!

The rooms are comfortable and spacious. We especially enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the dinner menu options. The family staff were so welcoming and accommodating. My wife has a mobile scooter and they drove us up the mountain after we arrived at the train station in Zermatt and they helped us to the cable car when the road back to Zermatt was closed for the morning. - Sarah (8/5): - This property was really lovely! The staff do a wonderful job making their guests feel welcome. The breakfast was phenomenal as well as the spa area. The only downside to the hotel is the location if you wish to explore the town in the evening during the summer. It is walkable and manageable at night as they provide flashlights, however coming back later on uphill wouldn’t be ideal. The taxi ended up costing 100 chf in the evening hours. For that reason, I wish the spa would have been open later to have something to do at the hotel. May be something to consider if you are young and want to explore the bars/ restaurants later. This would be a great stay for a family as they have a little playground as well. Otherwise wonderful stay and very kind staff.

The staff and family were so nice and the food was excellent. The room we had was great with a loft for our teenage daughter. The sauna area was great also. Definitely planning to stay here on our next trip to Switzerland!

- Joachim (8/5): Fantastic once you’re there. - Once you are there, the hotel is positively charming. Top catering, super friendly staff, tasteful decoration, stunning view, top comfort. The information about how to access the hotel is misleadingly incomplete at booking.com ‘side. Zermatt is not accessible by car AT ALL. You have to leave your car and take the train from the previous village in the valley. Then you cross the entirety of Zermatt before you can take a cable car that will bring you to the hotel itself. It took us roughly 2hours do do the last 10km. Booking.com was absolutely unclear about this aspect. Literally zero information. We only learned the specifics after the (no-cancellation) reservation went through and the hotel reached out to us. This is not acceptable. @booking.com please correct this.

Location stunning but once there it's very expensive to travel into town for a change of scene or to have dinner in Zermatt. Owner Dany absolutely charming as we're the majority of staff. One or two male staff members a bit dour but overall a fabulous stay. Would recommend. The location was stunning and fabulous for ski-in, ski-out. However, we should have taken more notice of the need to taxi into town in the evening if dinner in Zermatt is on the agenda. A treat to ride the electric taxis through the snowy forested landscape but an expensive one at CHF80 each way.

Pretty swiss decor, cood condition, very friendly and helpful staff, good food, good location for skiing in Zermat area (with conveninet connection to Italy). The only potential issue is that its 3.5km from the Zermat village (so if you want to go there then spare 80 euros each way or 45 min walk up/down) Overall very pleased. Ruben

- Ken (10/5): Hotel up the snowy mountain. Amazon views and lovely hosts. - Marc and Martin were lovely hosts. We arrived past 17:00 via train and the last cable car ended at 17:00. Martin reached out beforehand to pick us up with our suit cases (for 20CHF). Compared to the taxis waiting around charging 80CHF. Also Martin offered us a free upgrade with a balcony in our room! Limited choices for breakfast.

- Garrett (10/5): Lovely Experience All-Around - Hotel Silvana was something out of a dream, from the moment I booked through the moment I walked out the door. I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay during my 4-night trip to Zermatt in September 2022. Upon booking, staff is communicative and they're immediately helpful by informing you about cable car schedules up to the hotel and other transportation options. My flight was delayed by 6.5hrs so I missed the last cable car of the day; however, Martin was great with late-night communications and kindly scheduled an electric taxi to meet me at the train station (it does cost 80CHF, though!). Upon arrival, Tatiana put together a platter of meats and cheeses, a salad, breads with butter, and a glass of whiskey to help settle in. That food, the breakfasts, and the in-house dinners were each fantastic. Breakfast is included in your stay, but the four-course dinners cost 40CHF per night and are WELL WORTH IT. So delicious and it was great chatting with fellow guests! The room was exceptional as well. Extremely clean and well-appointed, very functional, quiet despite neighbors close by, beautiful views, and cleaning staff did a good job too. WiFi was surprisingly speedy. They even brought my roller bag down to the train station so I could explore town on my final morning. I cannot recommend this family-run hotel enough. They go above and beyond for their guests. Thank you for an amazing stay! <3 P.S. One major caveat, you're at the mercy of the cable car schedules here!
- Seraina (10/5): Alles war Top - Es war ein Wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Wir haben noch ein Upgrade erhalten. Wir reisen erst später an und das Hotel holte uns am Bahnhof in Zermatt ab für CHF 20.00 da die Gondel nicht mehr fuhr. Da wir so spät anreisten haben Sie uns von sich aus einen Tisch reserviert im Restaurant (nur Frühstück gebucht). Dies war sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen war spitze und auch das Frühstück. Die Mitarbieter sehr aufgestellt und zuvorkommen. Ich würde das Hotel jedem weiterempfehlen.

Everything was done to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible despite the extreme conditions outside. Thanks to the whole Hotel Silvana team, we had a great time!

- Freddy (10/5): Amazing hotel in the mountains - This hotel is simply amazing for its location, rooms and most importantly its FOOD. It's only a few minutes walk from Furi cable car station and you can take a nice walk approx 2hr with the view of the mountain Matthorn (and the other mountains) if you take the cable car 1 station up. Very nice for people who wanna hike or cycle around. The food is better than any other hotel or restaurant we visited in Switzerland!! And it's only 40 CHF for a 4-course dinner, totally worths it. The staff in the hotel is very nice and speak very good English:p Gonna stay again if we go next time.
