Guest Reviews
- Tracy (10/5): - The only issue I had was I kept getting booted off the wifi like every 15 m ins
- Francisco (2/5): - Good
- Charles (10/5): - Good night
- Marcel (2/5): - Le propriétaire est très gentil...mais cet hôtel à un grave problème d'hygiène. Moisissures partout, tout est très sale.
- Dorothy (4/5): - Dirty room and lots of flies. Do not recommend.
- Glenn (2/5): Terrible! - This place is a flop house. I'm sorry to have to report that, but it is THE WORST place we have ever stayed, and we've been retired for almost 20 years and travel quite a bit. The "breakfast" was a bowl of cornflakes, and that's it.
- Larry and Ilene (2/5): Do not book this motel! - It was so dirty that we decided to forgo the cost. And leave. Worst motel we have ever seen.
- Jose Abraham (2/5): - You guys have bed bugs
- Deborah (10/5): - Nice hot tub
Good price
- Kristen (6/5): - Great staff. You get what you pay for. Its dilapidated, zero frills including kleenex. Water pressure was not great and the toilet wouldn't flush all the way. There was warm water. Loght bulbs were out and the charging station for electronics was non-functioning. Floor and towels were clean but I did worry about the bed. If you are hard upit isnt the worst place.
- RUTH (10/5): Second visit, still loved the place - This was our second visit to this location and I definitely recommend. They provide friendly service for a reasonable rate. He has added a hot tub, pool and bar in the last year since our last visit and continues to refurbish and upgrade.
- S. (4/5): - Nighttime check in staff was pleasant and helpful.
Unpleasant smells in room and didn’t feel clean.
Room and facility was very worn.
Poor quality breakfast.
Price was cheap, I got what I paid for😢.
- Paul (10/5): - Has an amazing pool, clean rooms and a really nice little bar with a sweet lady that works there
- Dr. Julie (10/5): Well kept secret - Great room, newly updated bathroom and A/C. You can tell the owner cares about the property and takes pride in his work.
- Frank (2/5): - Dirty, smelt like mold. Didn’t feel safe with my kids around and vehicle outside
- Earl (8/5): - Office manager and staff very friendly.
- Angela (2/5): - The day desk people were nice.
.
- John (8/5): - Everything was adequate, except the TV needed to be setup and there were no trash cans in the room.
- Joyce (8/5): - We met the owner on our 2-night stay; he was super friendly/nice and sincerely concerned about our comfort and needs. What was good = A/C, comfortable bed, TV, quiet room, clean, nice shower, pool, microwave, fridge, breakfast. What needs improvement (in my opinion) and I believe the owner is striving to do all of these eventually = better bathroom lighting, small shampoo & conditioner, in-room coffee maker, spare roll toilet paper, facial tissue, more than one small wastebasket, 2 chairs (there's only one), and maybe a room phone. I don't intend to be negatively critical, just offering my suggestions. The price was reasonable and it was worth staying at Salina Inn.
- Craig (2/5): - The tv didn't work for all 3 days, the ice machine was broken, dogs barked in the rooms all night. The breakfast was very limited so we just went out to eat.
- debbie (6/5): - Locked outer doors so had to go thru lobby only parking on one side so no access on the side we had room. And with no drive thru we had to back our trailer out Room was ok floor a little sticky from cleaner and towels had big stains on them. Otherwise for a one night stay it was what we paid for
- Verified traveler (6/5): Salina inn - Pool water was very dirty, and dogs made it hard to sleep. Other than that the owner was very friendly and it was a semi-nice stay.
- Robert (2/5): - Plug ins look like they had been on fire, shower valve didnt work, tub was gross, carpet border literally falling off the walls. Smelt like mildew really bad.
- Judith (2/5): - Checkin took awhile before clerk showed up. Room was a dump. Bed frame was noisy - sounded like someone was throwing something into a trash receptacle every time we moved; no cups in room for water; no extra tissue paper; no Kleenex; no shower curtain; room had an odd odor; room needed paint. No wonder they say “no refunds once you confirm”, as I would think no one would stay there.
- Tonja (10/5): A pleasant surprise - I was very happy to see that the negative reviews were so off base. The staff was amazing so nice and friendly. The room is newly renovated. Bed felt like brand new and so comfortable. Bathroom also in tip top shape. The room was very spacious. Parking right outside my window so I could keep and eye on my vehicle. For the price it was way better than I expected. Will definitely be back on my next trip!
- Rachael (2/5): - Trap motel
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The facility w
- Lisa (10/5): Salina inn - We were able to checked in quickly and he was fun and nice. Bed was comfy.
- Greg (6/5): - room was clean bed ok,a little noisy. the only down side no coffee pot in room.
- Matthew (2/5): - I have no idea how this hotel had 3 stars. We weren’t expecting much - but mold and a dusty sink and bed covers… gross!
- Charles (6/5): - It could use some deep cleaning and repair. My shower didnt drain that well
- Eric (4/5): Not great but not horrible - I stayed at this one because they had last minute availability and was the cheapest thing right on my way. The place is in bad shape. I mean the ac worked, the plumbing worked. It wasn't a nightmare or anything but just not pleasing to the eye at all. Its like a cheap beater car but it runs.
- James (2/5): - Without a doubt the nastiest room I have ever
- Lori (4/5): - This property should be rated Poor
- Nuria (10/5): - Everything was ok, I will retun there if I need again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Eh - Good enough for one night. No towels for the pool area and the bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have preferred.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was what we expected. There were some weird stains on the wall of the bathroom, and I found hair on the wall of the shower when I tried to shower. We just needed a place to sleep for the night that wasn’t very expensive, so it worked for our needs.
- Zane (6/5): - We were given a dirty room. And when we asked for clean towels BECAUSE the room was dirty and towels used by previous guyest. Not only did the OWNER of the establishment NOT move us he didn't even offer a different room. To top just the night off he tried to give us a hard time about giving us clean towels. To end this stay the next morning the owner knocks on the door and proceeded to accuse me of smoking in his room he didn't ask me if I was no..he bluntly accused me smoke in his room and I would never do such a thing.
- Dorothy (2/5): Bad - It was the worst motel I have ever stayed in. The room was dirty, you did not dare to walk barefoot. Black long hair in the sink. Holes in the curtain. Offered no ice. Hot tub was gross. Would not recommend to anyone.
- Joni (4/5): - The owner/manager was very nice and helpful. However, the facilities need attention, both maintenance and cleaning, and “breakfast” was extremely limited.
- Robert (10/5): - All fine
- GU SUNG (2/5): Hotel facilities and room condition are very poor. - The hotel facilities are very old and outdated, and the rooms are poorly maintained, with broken or partially damaged bathrooms. The breakfast also has a limited variety of food, and the smell of cigarette smoke gives off a dirty impression, making it a hotel I would not want to stay at.
- Regina (2/5): - No shower curtain...but it didnt matter cuz shower doesnt work. Bed was good but pillows were horrible...place hadnt been dusted in long time.
- Linda (8/5): - The rooms were very clean and manager was extremely helpful. Good value for the money.
- Dhaneshree (2/5): - Don’t go. It isn’t safe, plus when we entered the receptionist was sleeping on the sofa, no lights where on in the evening around 6 p.m. when we entered we woke up & turn on the lobby lights. We cancelled our booking because of the vibe of that place was not safe.
- Andrew (8/5): - The service from the counter gentleman was great. Had to leave by six thirty, and the breakfast still wasn't out. Shower head and room headband electrical taped back together and was still profusely leaking when turned on and there was no hot water to speak of dirty towel was left in the bathtub and no soap or shampoos
- Verified traveler (10/5): A quick joint to a friend's wedding! - Owner super great. He gave us extra pillows! Older place but clean and nice employees!
- Chria (6/5): Awkward - The actual booking is wack plus cleaning people only speak Spanish. The owner is to friendly, the room low average. Almost got assaulted with owner due to room availablety.
- Cole (4/5): Think twice - The hot tub at this property is horribly filthy with dirt rings around the tub and excess buildup on the head rest. Also chunks of hair floating in the tub. The shower in my room was ridiculously dirty also with hand prints and hair in it. Also shower itself was peeling apart and very old and the toilet had a poop smear on the outside front that was very gross. loud highway noise all night long too but besides this the bed was at least average. Just had yellowish sheets cause they were very old.
- Terry (6/5): - The owner was very helpful and helpful. He helped us to our room but it wasn't handicap accessible. The were remodeling rooms and didn't have any available. There was mortar on the toilet seat (the owner came and got it off) and there was glue on the bottom of the tub.
- Tresa (2/5): - My room was decent, needed to be cleaned much better. There werw dead bugs in the curtains facing the window, the toilet backed up and and i notified the feont manager/owner and he did nothing that day when it over flowed except givw mw more towls because i ised mine to soke up the overflowed toilet. Next day was the same thing. He came in and plunged it and seen how water was coming feom under the toilet. He callwd someone in and he worked on it, they had to call a professional after hours. I understand rhings happen. I truly do, however the stay does not warrant $442.12 in charges for the room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): You get what you pay for, and then, even less! - This is an older, run-down motel in which the owner is trying to renovate. Our room’s have been replaced with vinyl & is already showing signs of wear. Toilet seat was loose & potentially dangerous. Tub was in need of repair. Breakfast was very poor. Coffee was horrible. Their “breakfast” included two cereal options and a waffle maker that didn’t work. Nothing else. No bread or bagel, not yogurt or anything else. I do not recommend this place.
- Alexander (10/5): - I was in town for a few weeks working in the area.. I was working day shift and the nights were quiet and i was able to get sleep. They cleaned my room weekly which was fine. The owner is a quiet man that let me see the rooms prior to picking one.. I picked a great one. New carpeting. Great hot water and the price was great ! Better than the rest and more bang for your buck. 30 mins all highway if your working at CHS like i was. The weekly rate was way cheaper than the online rates if your booking give DIL a call he can hook you up ! Will stay here again !
- Bruce (10/5): - Owner was very humble and hospitable.
- John (10/5): - The room and stay were fine, but what made this stay different was the friendly owners. They went out of their way to make the guests feel welcomed. For example, I had to stay an extra day due to a blizzard in the area. The owner made coffee and conversations flowed. It's nice when a place has a personal touch. Thanks Vil and Anu!
- Abigail (10/5): Great stay for the price - Comfy beds, front desk gentleman/ownet was very friendly. Room smelled damp but everything was clean and the sheets were really soft.
- William (10/5): - Definitely older motel & shows it's age, fair price for unit but terrible house keeping! Found clothes in chest of drawers left by previous customers, got in shower with wash cloth & it was stuck together with a substance so house keeping doesn't check to see if laundry has been used before leaving it in the room!!!
- Anna (10/5): - The manager/owner was SO accommodating, professional, and polite. He made us feel very welcome, and like we had known each other for years. All without making me, an extrovert who tends to way overanalyze everything, feel uncomfortable or awkward. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone. It was in a safe area, well below what chain hotels cost, with less amenities at that. Plus he is a business owner, not a franchise. I will always love supporting small businesses. Especially when customer service is top notch!
- Clint (10/5): - Nice staff and breakfast
- deborah (8/5): Quite nice, especially for the price - Exceptional customer service. Front desk staff (manager? owner?) went to extraordinary lengths to get the TV working properly.
In addition to the super soft towels, it featured some of my favorite things:
hot water, good water pressure and Game Show Netowrk
- Justin (4/5): - Smelly, door locks were not secure, hallways were dim, advertise for breakfast but no breakfast, lobby looks closed cause they keep the lights off. no hot water in room, there was hair on sheets under the comforter which led me to believe they just re-made the bed from the last guest and didn't actually change the sheets. just a basic a truck stop motel where you take a lot lizard.
- Stephen (10/5): - The staff and room were great! Great rest along the road…
- Jennifer (6/5): - This was an old motel- and needed some upkeep but it was reasonably clean and it was good price!
- Moses (10/5): - Dill was kind and make us feel extremely welcome. Great place and absolutely worth it. Pool and hottub available!
- Lloyd (8/5): False Reviews! Do not be fooled! - CAUTION!! The service is great & sheets were clean, thats only good. Would NOT shower, walls falling off, no water in shower, sink barely got warm & leaked all over floor, bathroom has falling ceilings, damaged, falling apart furniture, walls, bed marginal. No smoke alarm, only wires, room air unit struggled, left it on 80, but used extra blanketd. The owner is making improvements, but THAT room was NOT suitable for rental. View room BEFORE you pay!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): I would not stay here again - There was a dirty washcloth hanging from the shower rod. The sink was not clean. There were poorly patched holes in the walls. Breakfast was coffee and waffles and nothing else. Sheets seemed clean, bed was ok. Luckily this was only a quick pit stop on a long drive.
- Becky (2/5): - The bedsheets were soiled, a used towel was hanging on the shower curtain rod, towels were aged and worn. I booked the hotel for my husband and he thought I had a hit out on him. It was a very worn building that is in need of an investor to fix it and give it new life. Also, how many hotels do not take your credit card upon check in for incidentals? As long as it’s paid online, this hotel doesn’t need a card onsite. No phone in room and the art work is already gone from the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Manager was helpful and polite. The hot tub worked however due to renovations, the room and hallway was musky. The flooring looked new but showed dirt on my socks
- Xinjie (10/5): - Very nice and easy! Great experience!
- Paul (8/5): - Good breakfast not so
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not as advertised - No lights on when we arrived at 6pm. Manager turned lights to check us in. Had to find room with no lights on the parking lot. Poorly lit entryways. Hallway smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Room was as pictures show. Highway noise was distracting. Breakfast consisted of waffles and cereal. No forks or spoons. Overall not an enjoyable stay. We chose this motel because of the 7.2 rating. Apparently that is incorrect. Would not recommend this place.
- Michael (10/5): - Good service.
- Arlin (10/5): Very comfortable night - The bed had probably the best mattress I have EVER slept on in a motel! Service was friendly. It was quiet and no smoking! We will come back if we need to stay in the area again. Thank you ;-D
- Jeff (2/5): - Lock on door was broke. Door had been kicked in. Shower/bath had no water…none. Went to office at 7 am to complain and nobody was there…nobody. Should get full refund…ridiculous..
- Sarah (4/5): Low cost but sketchy - The lobby smelled like weed. When I asked where to park, the clerk suggested that if I wanted to avoid security cameras, I could park on the side.
There was no coffee. There was also nothing for breakfast except cereal and waffles. I was told there would be fresh fruit, but there was not.
Walls are thin. I could hear coughing and cell phone rings from the rooms near me. My room was next to a highway and I could hear all the cars zipping by.
It wasn’t in very good condition, but at least it was clean. It was inexpensive - so I guess I got what I paid for?
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The bathroom needs to be upgraded. There should not be roaches in the room.
- Rahne (10/5): - Really great for the price. Very convenient, nice room. Slept through the night no problems! Front desk very kind.
I would stay again.
- Rowena (2/5): - The owner was amazing, friendly, and helpful. He means well, but the hotel needs a lot of work done on it to be safe and hygienic. The room was not in good condition. It was dirty (especially the floor), a drawer was missing out of a nightstand, the bathtub had the overflow cover hanging out and it didn't look safe to use. There was no soap in the room, only a lotion and some shampoo (not matching brands). The rooms smelled like strong, unpleasant disinfectant. We were so tired so we just slept and left in the morning. Breakfast was only cereal, coffee, and waffles. There was a lot of junk outside on the lawn when we walked to the swimming pool/hot tub which wasn't safe. The place looks really run down and needs a lot of work!
- sharon (10/5): - The man who checked me in was very pleasant and kind. The process was quick and easy.
- Ronald (8/5): - Good
- Mollie (8/5): - Loved the hot tub. Breakfast sucked. All they had were waffles. There was a bit of a smell in the room.
- Karen (4/5): - No phones in room, needed refurbished, rack to hang close on broken, no plug for clock, tv lost sugnal 2x.
- Ruth (10/5): - If you're looking for a compromise between cost and a personal touch this is a place for you. It's not overly expensive and it's not super fancy but the staff is incredibly friendly and went out of the way to make us feel welcome.
- Shawn (6/5): - Stayed at this location last time or once before the first one the toilet would leak out of the bottom every single time I would flush it notified them told him about it thought I would give it a second chance the room they put me in this time there was bag stuff behind the microwave the Shelf where you would put stuff was broken off the wall the bathtub I had to wear my sandals because I wasn't stepping foot in it and fear getting some kind of bacteria the only thing that was comfortable was the bed and the AC unit kept the room cool I came at 3:00 there was nobody there sat there for 30 minutes ringing the bell and everything nobody ever responded went to dinner came back and there was somebody there not a very good experience first time was better this time was worse the carpet looks so old that it scared me to step in it
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This is a place to sleep, shower and that’s about it. The place is rundown and needs to be fixed up. The rooms aren’t too bad. The shower pressure was horrible, but the sink pressure was good. I’m not sure how that works. The guy at the front desk was very pleasant. He told me there was breakfast in the morning. There was no breakfast! The Jacuzzi and pool were great and clean! There’s definitely some people living there permanently.
- Josh (10/5): - I been here for my 2nd day now still like it very much bed is nice clean room . Very quiet . The man up front was awesome. I do appreciate it very much
- Michael (8/5): - It was quiet and I needed to sleep.
- Vickie (10/5): Clean and Economical - Very good place for sleep and rest. Basic room that was clean and comfortable. I needed to rest from the road and a severe heat warning. The manager was Friendly and helpful. The housekeeper was nice and efficient. If you need a clean room with basic amenities. This is for you.
- Keith (4/5): - Well, the lawn needed to be mowed. The windows around the hot tub needed to be clean. The hot tub was dirty. The pool was really clean the security. Doors on the outside should have been locked. The microwave had nowhere to plug into. There was trash around the building. There is a empty hose on the concrete. By the hot tub. The hallway to the rooms was dark and scary. Did not really feel safe in the hotel.
- Lee (2/5): - This hotel was so gross and filthy, we walked in to the room and bathroom to see the spots on carpet and bugs in the a/c unit and discussing tub
- Sergey (6/5): - Hotel is pretty old
For one night stay is okay
- Angela (10/5): - Only problem we had was the tub didnt drain well...manager was very nice n prompt when we needed anything
- Anthony (4/5): Cheap night’s sleep - Old property with poor repairs
Hallways hot, property in need of renovation
Manager was helpful, but seemed unconcerned about shabbiness of property overall. Room was clean and comfortable, but sparse amenities. No cups, dining table, tissues, etc. Rooms were cheap
- Andrew (10/5): Would recommend - I stayed at Salina Inn for a night. In spite of my last minute booking, it was an outstanding price. The attendant was very agreeable and the room was very clean. I fell right to sleep after getting back to the room so I have no complaints about the accomodations for a one-night stayover. I absoluteky recommend the stay.
- Linda (8/5): - Good value.
- Emily (10/5): - This was the perfect low cost stay off i70! The staff were so kind and helpful, coffee was good and the jacuzzi got rid of any stiffness from driving! Would recommend to families and solo travelers.
- Betty (8/5): - Staff was very helpful. Pool was down and had looked forward to that.
- Stephanie (4/5): - The property was very run down. Staff was very friendly but the property needed renovating. The doors didn’t match the nightstands had been broken. The flooring was coming up, shower leaked and was very hard water stained. Wall was peeling in the bathroom.
- Tracy (10/5): - The owner was super friendly and really nice. He made sure it was as comfortable as possible.
- Deanna (10/5): - Staff was very helpful, friendly and kind.
