Guest Reviews
- Ayoub (8/5): Good - Good stay, excellent location, good services
- Adrian (10/5): Excellent central location - Great location, lovely place to stay. Nice quiet place with everything one needs
- Fulton (6/5): - The accommodations were fine. But, the check-in process was unnecessarily complicated.
We had to contact the property more than 24 hours before check-in to receive instructions and then told that instructions would be provided through WhatsApp, an app that we did not use. When we arrived at the property to drop off our luggage, we had to call a number that directed us to a different property (Arc House Mezquita) a 6-minute walk away for drop-off.
- Yousuf (8/5): Stay was okay but check in process was painfull - Stay was excellent but check in process was very painful. It was a virtual check in. No one to help. I asked even a day before that if someone would be there so I can leave my luggage. They said yes but no was there. No one answering a call or opening a door. No use of ringing a bell. 5 minutes after they start responding on WhatsApp. They provide a link so I fill form to check in. Then there was a separate form for a guarantee. WE have to provide a credit card information. What if some tourist has no data or internet. They cannot check in here and no one there to help.
- Diego (2/5): Nightmare Stay at Your Hotel - I need to share how awful my experience was at Arc hotel in Córdoba. Last night, there was no power, no hot water, and no internet. I tried contacting you several times, but got no response. When you finally sent someone, it was in the middle of the night—way too late.
While all of this was happening, I was dealing with Hotels.com, who thankfully refunded me so I could book another place to stay. The hotel was filthy, dark, and honestly dangerous to walk around in the darkness. The communication was terrible, and the whole place felt neglected.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, the decoration was a nightmare. It looked like some bizarre horror show—tacky and absurd, with decor that felt like creepy clown art or something straight out of a bad circus. Totally tasteless and unsettling.
I’m genuinely disappointed and would never recommend this place to anyone.
- Clara-Ines (8/5): Good accommodation. - The place very nice, that hotel is good central and segure. I Enjoyed.
- Michelle (6/5): - This was a very basic property, and was fine for one night. It is a hostel, and was great for the time we slept there. Cordoba, has no ubers and we ended up walking half an hour the next morning to the train station, because taxis are not great either. But in general was a good hostel
- Dimple Ashok (2/5): - The communication from the property leading up to the stay was good - They recommended the Mezquita parking and gave clear instructions of where the office was located vs where I would be staying, codes to enter etc. I was travelling from Malaga and reached later than I expected around midnight and then the NIGHTMARE began. The room was terrible and a health hazard - I booked an ensuite triple room which was the only one available. I decided to pay extra due to convenient location in old town close to mezquita (even though I am alone as safety matters to me and I didnt want to share). The size of the room was good and there was a double bed and single bed and it was ensuite with tv all right but the room was SMELLING MUSTY with no ventilation in the bath and the ONLY WINDOW in the room opened into the central courtyard used by others so it was always closed shut! The office was closed at that hour and no staff around so I could not ask for a change. I started to wheeze and sneeze but it was too late to find an alternate hotel and I had to wake early for a tour booked in the am. The aircon was really old noisy & rattled away but was no use. Having no other option I just had to bear it all night - I opened the window but the smell still persisted so I slept poorly and I struggled to breathe and by morning I woke with a bad throat. Also the double bed subsided in the centre and was too soft luckily the single bed was ok. I cannot comment about the other rooms in the property
- Luisana (10/5): - Calidad-precio fenomenal.
- Stephen (8/5): - It’s a hostel, so things are not as luxurious as at a regular hotel. Indeed, I never saw any of the hostel staff. And we had a lot of confusion regarding check-in. However, once we checked in, the room was just fine for the price, and the location was convenient to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing.
Note: there is NO parking anywhere nearby. Even driving to the hostel to drop off bags is difficult, since the streets are mostly 2-2.5m wide, and twisty. But if you arrive by mass transit, it’s fine.
- Maricarmen (6/5): - Agua calienta tardaba en dalir mas de 10 minutos uns vez q abres grifo
- Stepehen (8/5): Tricky getting in but worth the effort. - A little tricky getting in with the reception some streets away from the actual hostel. Once in lots of space including a kitchen, laundry area and sun roof. A bit shabby very moroccan but I had a fantastic 3 nights sleep. Good value for the price I paid that was significantly less than the price advertised in the room.
- Etienne (8/5): - Some Customers of the hostal were very noisy at night.
- David (6/5): Arc House Cordoba - We stayed in a private room at the Arc House and had a pleasant experience. The hostel was clean and conveniently located in the city centre, great for exploring Cordoba at a very reasonable price.
There could have been better communication by the hostel prior to our arrival, as we were unaware that there was no reception at the hostel, and keys must be collected at their other location in the city (a short walk, but it was 36C when we arrived!). This info was detailed on the hotels.com website under the special instructions section, but it would have been useful to receive these instructions via email prior to arriving.
- Michael (4/5): Very disappointing. If you have allergies avoid! - First, they were trying to charge our card before check-in, which was not the way all our other reservations were handled. Second, after we walked from the place to check-in to our hostel the room the gave us was unsuitable. You could smell the mold and mildew and the vents of the ac were black and very dusty. After changing the room to stay one night thank goodness, was dreary and almost felt like a cell. I have traveled the world and stayed in hostels before, so this was not my first go. The shower was a hand held devise and the bed covers looked very old. I would not advertise this place as a hotel at all.
- Martha (8/5): - The check in process was a horror. I contacted them the day before to find out where to check in even though it was the middle of the day and was told to go directly to the property and someone would be there. The doors were locked and getting someone on the phone was a pain. Someone finally came and checked me in. I sat on the front steps for an hour and was not happy.
- Leandro (10/5): - Perfect location
- Nelson (8/5): - Location is prime inside the Judería neighborhood.
- Eleonora Micaela (8/5): - Ottima posizione, pulito, silenzioso. Complessivamente soddisfatta.
- Abderahim (6/5): Bed experience - This was the worst experience for a long time.
1- I was in several hostels but this is the first time in my life that I was asked for a credit card as a guarantee despite having paid online through this website. I spent an hour at the reception to find a solution but the hostel insists on having my credit card. so I ended up giving my credit card details because I had no choice to cancel.
2- Second, you are not given the room key directly, you have to go outside the building to retrieve the key from a small box. I entered the code but I can't find my room key, it's too complicated.
3- Third, the lockers are numbered but everyone can put their suitcases in any locker. There is no respect for the locker number which is linked to the bed number.
4- The lockers are small. if you have a large suitcase or if you have two suitcases then you will be stuck.
5- in the checkout, you have to put your key in a box, they don’t inform you in advance about this. It is not easy to find this box.
6- there are two receptions. By Google maps, you find the one which is in the main doors where guests stay but it is not the official one and the guy is not always there.
7- as soon as the hostel gets your number, they start contacting you by whatsapp to ask you to book through their website to get a discount.
The only good thing, is that it is well located and the make the beds everyday, not like in other hostels.
- Simon (4/5): - The service was rudé and unhelpful
- Anon (8/5): - Like: location, cleanliness, kitchen
Could be better: Wi-Fi strength in rooms, toilet pipes not leaking
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Nico (6/5): - Staff nice, but kitchen at second floor need to cross the small area at outside.
- Daniel (8/5): Basico y correcto - Todo correcto
- Muhammad Irfan Ur Rehman (10/5): Well Done Osio! - Osio hostel is located close to historic places. The hostel was clean and Claudia (Receptionist) was really polite and helping. Overall, a very good place to stay when you are traveling alone. I stayed for three nights and it was really comfortable.
- Nico (10/5): Muy lindo hotel. - Es buen hotel. Muy lindo y cómodo. Excelente desayuno. La ubicación esta muy bien.
- paul (8/5): - Best experience hostal wise. Everything perfect, it really felt very profesional and made my small stay much more better.
I will definitely recommmend it
- Mollie (10/5): Enjoyable place to stay in very central position. - The hotel was very central to the main tourist attractions and lots of places to eat. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room was comfortable. The only issue was the time that it took the water to go hot in the shower. The kitchen was clean and the hostel provided tea, coffee, milk, cereals and muffins for breakfast as part of the accomodation i.e. free of charge. I really enjoyed my stay there. The shared spaces like the courtyard were pleasant to sit out in.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hostal has excellent location, very close to Mesquita and other major sites. Very comfortable large room for a hostal. Come with complimentary simple breakfast (coffee and muffin). This is our favorite hostal among the 4 different hostels we stayed in Spain.
Habitacion amplia y limpieza justa.
- James (8/5): Marvellous Mesquite in Cordoba. - An oasis of tranquillity in the heart bustling weekend Cordoba. Close to the Mesquite and many restaurants and Tapas bars. Outdoor smoking is still a problem in Spain especially in restaurants and bars. Osio solarium furniture was dated and potplants have been used as ashtrays and are smelly. Kitchen and breakfast was adequate. Everyone was very friendly and spoke muliple languages well. The free entrance to the Mesquite was excellent( between 0830 and 0930). Well worth more than one visit. Take a free walking tour , they are excellent and the guides are very informative and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location and nice people, uncomfortable beds - Fabulous location and very nice people. The staff really tried to make everyone happy. I will say that we normally stay at high end hotels and our expectations are high but the beds were quite uncomfortable and there were several dead bugs in our room. They ask you not to flush toilet paper in the toilet which is gross to me. Otherwise it was clean and close to everything. I probably would look elsewhere next time but if I couldn't find anything, I would stay here again.
- Robert (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. Close to all the sights.
- GhaziUSA (10/5): Friendly stuff, close to the old town - Super friendly stuff. The location can't be better (minutes walking from the Mezquite and from the Jewish quarter).
- nana (8/5): Nice hostal - Clean rooms.. nice staff.. but the bed are noisy whenever you move.. it is near la mezquita.. good choice
- Vasyl (10/5): 24h Reception - 24h Reception. Nice terrace on the roof. Strong free Wi-Fi. You can purchase breakfast. Close to the Mosque. Helpful staff.
- JJ (4/5): Great location, mediocre facilities - Location good, 30 min walk from train station. Need to ring bell every time you come back from outside. Linen costs extra 2 euro. Bathroom tiny. Room too warm at night unless you leave door open. Not as good overall as other European hostels.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Room was cramped, smelly, and beds too small - The room was way to cramped and had one tiny window out to the oxygen, 6 beds and tiny bunk beds! You cannot sit up on the bottom bunk. The room smelled with the amount of people in it, the lockers ( which has NO locks) was in the bathroom so you had to wait to get your belongings. I would NOT stay here especially in the summer time. Also, most of the amenities were outside and with the weather being cool and rain, there was no where to 'hangout' besides the kitchen, which was also really crammed with everyone preparing meals. Location was good, close to the Mezquita! Kitchen closes at 11PM every night ( I guess because there are other rooms right next to it) so that was a pain too in case you want a midnight snack or just want to hang out with other people.
- Verified traveler (6/5): good location but poor condition - the room I booked is 6-bed mixed dorm, but turned out i was given a 10-bed mixed dorm. the sheets are not very clean. the toilet may sometimes run out of toilet paper. the no. of bathroom and shower is limited though I didn't get a problem of waiting. the receptionist is nice and the location is perfect for sightseeing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Wifi was kinda iffy in the room but worked great in the kitchen. Kitchen was small but kept very clean and that was definitely the place to go and try to meet people since it's a hotel/hostel so there are families. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Abdulaziz (6/5): Nice place - Nice place for couple of days I meet new friends , staff nice, clean , heart of old town, receiptionest was nice and very helpful, advice me in details where to go and when,
Nice place,
WiFi not good in my room#4.
The room has an aircon,
I used a dorm with 6 beds.
15 minutes walk to the bus station.
- S (8/5): Nice if you are prepared - Pros:
This is a nice hostel. It is located in walking distance to shopping and historical sites. It is also nice that there is a supermarket close by. I had air conditioning in the room I was in, but I was on the top bunk and it can get hot up there if the ac is not turned up. Also, the bunks were sturdy which is good if you have to climb to the top bunk. The ensuite bathroom in the room I shared was also nice.
Cons: The room is too small for the two set of bunk beds. The top bunk opposite to the one I slept in is near impossible to access. Though the bed is sturdy, it us up against the wall so there is no good way to climb up that wouldn't involve disturbing the bunk below. The wifi also was only available in the common areas.
There is also very little space for one person to access luggage, and there aren't enough plugs in the room if you need to charge things. It would also be best if they assigned people lockers next to the bed they are sleeping in. When I was there the person on the bottom bunk had the top locker which was next to my bed and I had the bottom locker. It makes maneuvering in a small room unnecessarily difficult.
All the things I outlined are typical of hostel living. I knew it going in so I hope this helps the uninitiated. Finally this is a good place to interact with people, mainly in your room and possibly the kitchen area, but if sleeping is your objective it will be difficult.
- Vasyl (10/5): close to Mosque - EXCELLENT hotel. Helpful staff. Close to Mosque! Strong Wi-Fi. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
- Serhii (10/5): Nice hotel, close to Mosque - Nice hotel, close to Mosque. Cleaness. Helpful staff.
