Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and comfortable room - Great room, really clean, comfortable and quiet. Great value. Located near bus stop to get to city centre.
- Claire (6/5): B&B free breakfast - Clean
comfortable bed
Noisy due to busy road
On bus routes to centre
- Russell (2/5): Appalling 'Hotel' ? - The hotel was appalling ( and why is it advertised as an hotel is a mystery). I paid in advance for 5 days and moved out after 2 , therefore forfeiting 3 days paid for.
Unless you are looking for a cheap hostel, miss it by a mile.
I am amazed that it is on Hotel.Com,s' website.
Do not go there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Soggiorno perfetto. Struttura pulita, dotata di ogni comfort. Personale molto accogliente
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst place ever! Absolutes Drecksloch!
- CC (8/5): Good location, excellent host - 30 min walk/ 15 min bus journey from St Peters. Hotel lady was really lovely, very helpful. I am a very light sleeper and have to say the noise from the road did wake me up occasionally. However I would stay again.
- Ian (6/5): Rome - VERY hot! There should be a Health & Safety warning issued. Avoid except in the winter. Air conditioning in room not working. Everyday the staff said it would be repaired tomorrow!
- Kaadam (8/5): Lovely room - We had a lovely, spacious room and comfy beds-great security systems and wonders- a lift! We really loved our stay there and our only problem was the fact that the concierge did not speak any English and came across as gruff. She was helpful at times, even gave me with superglue when my shoe sole came undone! But don't try to telephone if you can't speak Italian! A downer was the tiny shower cubicle--one literally had to scrape one's way inside-even my slim daughter! Good location for buses.
- Tiberiu (10/5): Best Bed and Breakfast in Rome - We stayed at this hotel as we arrived in Rome. Superb location, amazing service and excellent breakfast.
- LANEY (4/5): hotel was ok ! disappointing at best - Hotel was ok bedroom ... Curtains needed cleaning .paintwork needed going over . The kitchen where breakfast was served was not great .... lady served boiled eggs which we ( 3 other sets guests who were staying were really disappointed as well) thought they were re- served each day over and over... kitchen was not clean ! Lady stored bread /croissants in an old disused dish washer !!!! was put right off !!!..... A Swedish Mum and daughter ... a couple from Birmingham .... a couple from northern Spain ..... these too had worries same as us. GREGORIOUS CLOSE is not near to ST.PETERS .....it is not walking distance from Spanish steps nor Trevei Fountain ..... It is the longest road GREGRIOU Vll goes on forever and Hotel/ BB is at the top end of the road away from St.Peters .... it is a bus ride down ....and then other buses can take you onto the Fountain and Steps...
The only saving grace was that the couple ( lady and husband) were very nice very helpful even though they spoke NO English ( my friend spoke a little Italian ) they tried to help as much as they could ... Such a shame to put a downer on the hotel but it wasn't the best. Yet bedrooms looked good in pictures .... shower enclosures not great so small just able to squeeze in if you were bigger person you would never shower ..... it would not be possible to get in out safely...
- An (8/5): - the room is quite comfortable and clean. the breakfast is good. there are two problems with this B & B. 1. its location. it's quite far away from the main railway station and it is not very close to St. Peter's either (judging from the name of the B & B, i thought it would be within the walking distance to St Peter's, but it is not, had to take bus). 2. language barrier. the owner does not speak much English (perhaps, 90% Italian plus 10% English?). this caused us a lot of trouble when trying to find out the location of the hotel and the route to the hotel before our trip to Rome. the hotel. com staff had no luck with the owner either when they tried to contact the owner on our behalf. but once you find the hotel and get to know the area, it would not be a problem. you could manage to get the info from the owner though she speaks Italian most of the time.
- Mrs (8/5): Very small private hotel - When we eventually gained admittance we were pleased with the friendly reception, individual attention and comfort. However the hotel needs to be much more easily spotted from the road outside, a large and clear sign facing the road is needed. Also the entry phone system to be used on first arrival was not explained to us prior to our own arrival,
