- Satomi (10/5): Our wonderful stay at Rarotonga Villa - We stayed at the Rarotonga Villas for 7 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The bed was comfortable to sleep on. It was short walking distance from the villa to the takeaway shop and Nikao Social Centre where we could purchase food, coffee, and ice cream. The villa was very clean, and we enjoyed snorkeling and whale watching right in front of the villa. The hosts Neville and Jo were very nice people and their dog Bruno was lovely. We would love to go back there again.

- Sandy (10/5): - We had a wonderful week long stay at Rarotonga Villas. Being right on the beach was very special. Even a spot of bad weather didn't matter, as the balcony is covered so we could still outside and enjoy the storm over the ocean. The villa was clean, modern with fast wifi and had everything we needed. Planes fly overhead pretty low before landing - we found it cool. We loved the western side location - we were often the only people on the beach and we saw whales in the distance everyday, not to mention stunning sunsets. If you don't rent a car, the bus stop is right outside, plus a 24/7 grocery store across the road, for when you run out of tonic. ;) Jo and Neville were easy to deal with, respectful of privacy but still available to help out any way they can. Thanks for a fabulous stay Jo and Neville!
- Piata (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Rarotonga Villas! Jo and Nevel were so lovely and welcoming to us, our words would not do our stay and experience justice. They went the extra mile for us, whether it was transport, recommendations or care they were absolutely amazing! The Villa was lovely, modern and very clean for an awesome price. Wifi was really fast saving us lots of money on data top ups, we were able to watch Netflix when we wanted some down time, aircon available (which we didn’t really need to use as the fan was just as great), we just had everything we needed in the villa when we arrived. The beach was right at our stairs and it was lovely and private with loungers, tables, hammocks and the most incredible sunsets, making the perfect photos and perfect place for beautiful memories! We also loved seeing the planes fly over was a cool add on to our experience! Our stay was amazing thanks to Rarotonga Villas, a truely 10/10 experience, we highly recommended this place and would love to visit again in the future! - Verified traveler (8/5): Rarotonga villas - Rarotonga Villas has a beautiful ocean view from room. There are 4 ocean front villas and a separate laundry room shared between villas. Room size was perfect for two of us. Kitchenette has everything you need. Bed is king size and comfortable. They give you 1 bath, 1 beach towel, and 1 hand towel for each persons so you have to do laundry if fresh towels needed as no room service offered for these villas. Beach has bench and table if you want to sit and eat. I personally prefer beach beds to lay down instead (there were 2 in front of our villa but both broken and super dirty). Airport runway is your neighbor! The airport is not so busy, 1 or 2 big jets and couple small airplanes take off and landing daily. My husband likes watching them and not bothered at all but it was annoying to me specially the one at the middle of night! So it all depends on you! There is a convenient store just across the villas which has almost everything. Hosts are super friendly and nice.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our villa was well-maintained, modern and in an amazing spot right on the beach front. Facilities were good: we loved the outdoors shower to freshen up after a dip in the lagoon just out the front. Speaking of the lagoon, definitely go for a snorkel right out front! It's teeming with all sorts of interesting marine life, and you may be able to borrow some leave-behind equipment from the laundry room if available. Owners Jane and Phillip are great hosts as well; very friendly, and full of local knowledge to help you get the most out of your stay in this little paradise. They were also generous enough to drop us off at the airport for our transfer to Aitutaki. Although the weather wasn't very kind to us for a large part of our stay in Raro, we still had a good time, partly thanks to the villa being in good condition. One thing to keep in mind: airplane noise can be thunderous. This can be annoying in the early AM, but I won't deduct any points for this as we knew this going in. However if you're sensitive to this, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Airplanes coming and leaving added character and excitement to the location. Clean and great decor. Right on the beach. Lovely place to swim. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing convenient place to stay. Would def come back.

While the Villa itself was already great, the support staff was exceptional. Jane & Patrick were there to make our stay as enjoyable as possible and I couldn't have asked anything more in terms of increasing our comfort not only within the Villa but in terms of getting around the island as well. I highly recommend Rarotonga Villas. You will not be disappointed!

- Verified traveler (4/5): Extremely Disapointing - Close to the beach but flea ridden villa, very limited hot water, rude staff, over charged the accomodation and certainly not to a quality standard. I was told that the villa was around 150sqm but in fact it was more like 70sqm at best. Don't put a beach chair on the sand you will get growled at.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great bungalow right on the beach - Great place to stay in Rarotonga...close to town & the balcony is the perfect place to watch the sunset each evening...or better still sit on the beach right in from top you. Phil & Jane are great hosts, nothing too much trouble. Do not let proximity to the airport dampen your enthusiasm for this place...there are only 1 or 2 big planes a day and it is fun to watch them land. Get a rental car so you can come & go and easily enjoy the island. In the words of the great philosopher Arnold Schwarzenegger "we will be back".

Only drawback: ceiling fan does not manage to cool the place well enough (no AC). Proximity to planes taking off and landing was a plus for me.
- Sarah (10/5): Gorgeous comfortable villa on the beach - We loved staying at Rarotonga Villas. It is literally right on the beach and the villas are clean, spacious and comfortable. There are only three on the property and no kids, yay! The owners are lovely as well. There's everything you need in the villa for cooking etc if you don't want to eat out for every meal, and a BBQ on the property as well. We didn't really mind being so close to the airport, it was more the crowing roosters that annoyed us but they are all over the island and have nothing to do with the actual villa haha. Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back!
- Nicki (8/5): Much better than camping ! - We chose this place because it evoked the laid-back vibe of camping without the grovelling and discomfort of doing it rough in a tent. It's not fancy BUT everything is thought of , from insect screens to comfortable beds , tv and a dvd library , good outdoor seating and a well equipped kitchen. Also really appreciated the thoughtfull choice of breakfast supplies .
- Myr (10/5): Paradise Retreat - A delightful find via Wotif when my now second-preferred accommodation was unable to take me for my full 10 day stay on the island. Within walking distance (or a couple of bus stops) to a selection of restaurants when not inclined to use the kitchenette facilities
- Ken (8/5): Excellent, but.... - Our unit was close to the water with a great view of the reef and sea. Water in the lagoon was warm and there were a few fish to make snorkelling a pleasant experience in a safe environment. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were extremely attentive and anxious to make our stay a pleasant one. The major bonus for us was the fact that humpback whales swim by between August and October and we had the pleasure of spotting them many times during our stay. On several occasions they breached the surface and the result was spectacular. However, there is a problem in the neighbourhood of local or roaming dogs. They can get into fits of barking between each other and no one seems to have any care or control over them. It was so bad the first night that we stopped at the local hardware store to buy some expanding earplugs to try and relieve the situation. The airport was next door but there are only one or two big jet flight each day so that was no problem really.
- jules (10/5): fabulous stay - Such a great villa, perfect for our small family (2 adults, one child). Situated on a great beach for snorkelling. Shallow water, perfect for kids. Great view of planes landing ( only a few a day so quite a novelty). Phillip and Jane are lovely and really helpful. Definitely hire a car or scooter, easy to drive here and only 40 mins around the island. Would definitely stay at Rarotonga villas again and would certainly recommend to others.
- Ted & Doris (10/5): Great place smack on the beach... Paradise... - Great place right on the beach front... Out of the bungalow walk 10 metres and you are swimming in a wonderful safe lagoon.. At the time we went we had the beach virtually to ourselves. Our host Phillip could not have more accommodating in any thing we needed be it about were to eat, what to do , activities happening on the island etc. In a word FABULOUS and would recommend it to anyone wanting a quite break from our fast paced world.... As General McArthur said WE SHALL RETURN..

He met us at the airport and gave us a little tiki tour so that we could get our bearings. That was really useful. - John (8/5): Easy living: - Wonderful experience. Friendly Phil was always on hand to assist if required. Only 4 bungalows. Very laid back set up, close to town and restaurants. Perfect if you prefer to do your own thing as opposed to a Resort. Shops nearby. Scooters hire nearby and great fun, highly recommended. Phil picked us up from the Airport and showed us around town, where to eat, hire vehicles etc.

- A & R (8/5): affordable luxury in paradise - Ideal couples retreat on the beach. Philip the host is warm and welcoming. The villas are modern, clean and well equipped. We were so comfortable here we didn't want to leave. We rented a motorbike to get to town and around the island. Everything was very relaxed and easy. Viama restaurant is a must. Occasional plane overhead more a novelty than issue.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Paradise on the Beach! - Love it— Right on the beach with a nice sized room with good cooking facilities (just don't leave food out #ants). Corner store is near but I had a rented car so was able to drive to the main supermarket. Prices were surprisingly good— I wouldn't not bother with the amount of food that I took this time, just bring luxury items. Room really nice although there is no Air Con. Ceiling fan however does the trick. Would defiantly stay again, outstanding value for money.

- Richard (10/5): Great place to stay! - We recently stayed at these villas and had an awesome time. Our host Phillip, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very accommodating. The villas were spotless and quite close to the eateries of the NW coast of Rarotonga, as well as right on the lagoon on the protected side of the island. Fantastic sunsets! The bus passes right at the front gate but we hired a car for convenience. We'd strongly recommend Rarotonga villas as a self-contained alternative for the budget conscious. Very close to the import, but we got used to the planes (3 - 4 per day) passing so close and low.
