Guest Reviews
- Chocfisshh (8/5): Very good for Budget - Friendly staff, ideal location away from town but close to town, shops and eateries at the door and close to Apia harbour and Sheraton Aggie Greys Hotel and Taumeasina Island Resort, cafes and Apia Park.
- VAIOLA (8/5): - Location was really handy, environment was unique and was able to meet with the owner of the property.
There is no TV or Radio in the rooms
- Ianise (10/5): - Everything was very comfortable and staff on point!
- J m o (10/5): Love samoa - Excellent service provided, great breakfast, rooms are pretty standard but it’s clean and tidy..
The staff were amazing and assisted us on our stay and supportive during our tatau thank you once again
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very dirty room and facilities the pool etc outside was nice but the tiles were sharp and kids cut themselves a lot. Staff friendly, poor breakfast
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Noy up to internation level. Should provide tea & coffee in the room at least.
- Anthony Ben (10/5): Good old fashion Samoa comfort. - I enjoyed the Pasefika Inn, the staff were extremely helpful and polite. I guess it was off season or rainy season, so not many residents. I hope many guests will choose Pasefika.
- Lyndsey (6/5): Good location- - Within walking distance of all you need in Apia.
Pool and outdoor area were lovely.
Rooms were outdated and dark, but were expected. Has A/C.
Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great!
- Ronnie (10/5): Friendly Staff and Exceptional service. - The Pasefika is very handy, Its location is ideal as it is close to the main city, some very good eateries/restaurants and also shops. I had 3 teenage kids with me on the trip and they loved their stay because of the staff and the venue.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel is in great location. Breakfast is excellent. Room quality is ok. Staff are polite and helpful, and changed room to suit me upon check in. Good for 1-2 night stay.
- olitahmt (6/5): Location ideal - Stayed at Pasefika Inn in 2014 at the time ideal because of close to the wharf, shops and.good security gate and security guard that close after hours for safety of guests. Only bad experience was that a centipede came out of the aircon blown straight to my bed which left me sleepless for the rest of my stay
- Brent (4/5): Old and rundown - Rooms are dirty and old with ants.
The only redeeming features are the pool and staff
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Pictures on website need to be updated, room are very dated. Dark throughout hallway also floors are very dusty.
- Moses (6/5): - Staff are very friendly enjoy their companion. We love the lady that served our breakfast and does the service for our room. She's the best and humble
- Verified traveler (4/5): Taumafai - Could’ve been cleaner the floor was dirty when I flushed the toilet the water came out, the bathroom door couldn’t slid it close it was Jammed..
- Vaituliao (8/5): - Staff is very friendly and helpful. Its a bit like back packing but more comfortable. If you are looking to save $ for shopping and rental cars then this is the place to be. We enjoyed that there was a takeaway 2 doors down, Mini supermarket next door and car hire 2 doors over. Awesome aircon!!
- teachaj1989 (2/5): Not my First Choice - This hotel is dirty and priced high given the lack of cleanliness. The manager is very rude, but the rest of the staff is quite friendly. The dorm room can be a good deal, but the room does not lock so there is a safety issue.
- Tuifuisaa (10/5): Samoa boy. - Our stay at this hotel was fabulous. The staff was very nice and wonderful even the owners (the very nice Lady )took the time to sit with us at breakfast to talk about Samoa and its tradition. To us that was an honor. We spent 5 nights here and it was worth every penny.
- Valerie (10/5): Friendly and helpful staff, close to all amenities - My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. Location is great - there's a shop just outside the inn, an ice cream and food bar just next door that's open late, an atm there as well, a taxi stand and laundry right across the road, and great restaurants like Paddles just around the corner that you can walk to. The room size is adequate with a double bed and single. As it is a very old building, it shows in the room layout and decor. It needs a lot of work and maybe an upgrade would make it a little more appealing to the eye. However, it is comfortable and for the price you pay it is great value, so not much more to complain about there!! The staff there are the best I have encountered in Samoa!!!! They are almost like family by the time you leave. They make sure your stay is comfortable and are continuously asking if everything is OK with your stay. Both my husband and I would look forward to breakfast every morning as the staff serving you make it that much more enjoyable. A simple brekkie of Koko alaisa, toast, pawpaw, coconut, yellow buns and a hot cuppa are just what you need to start the day. On our last night our air conditioning started to play up and being 6 months pregnant I could not handle the heat. The lovely staff moved us to another vacant room right away! Overall we both experienced superior service for a budget hotel. The 5 star rating is for its friendly staff, location and value for money. We definitely enjoyed our stay and wouldn't mind coming back.
- mattc97 (6/5): Friendly Staff and enjoyable breakfast - Pros:
The staff are lovely and friendly.
We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.
Cooling off in the pool every afternoon was great.
Very happy to have air conditioning.
There was a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Close to town and restaurants.
Cons:
The ensuite bathrooms were poorly maintained - the doors were broken and weren't always serviced.
Our room didn't have a complete set of curtains so we were woken early every day.
Driveway access was a little difficult with our large van.
- JessI347 (10/5): Amazing Stay!!!!!!!! Outstanding!!!!!! - We stayed at the Pacific Inn from July 31st - August 16th as part of the Cook Islands U16 National Women's Team. For us as an International team playing in a World Cup Qualifying tournament it was very important we stayed at a hotel that suited are needs. The Pacific Inn did not let us down in anything quite simply it was outstanding. The staff are unbelievable in friendliness and by the end of our trip there was many tears from players and hotel staff as we had built up such an amazing rapport with everyone. They are hugely helpful and the service was quite simply outstanding it made for our stay an even more enjoyable one. The location is perfect with a shop just next door which has all your basics. It's a short walk from downtown. It was so clean all the time and if we needed anything at all such as extra towels etc it wasnt a problem. I would 100% stay here again and also highly recommend. Well done to everyone and thank you again!
- 497meriann (8/5): Everything was awesome - We went as a sports team and had an awesome time at the Hotel. The staff was awesome; they took care of us while away from home, treated us as their second family(and vice versa), ensured that we were safe and fed us well too. The pool was awesome for the girls too. I can recommend this place for any teams travelling to Samoa, as it is close to all amenities and the staff are always accommodating to the needs of the team.
- Winnie Foua (10/5): - staff are friendly, private pool area away from public view. breakfast served on time , yummie koko laisa and fresh fruits, bananas, pawpaw, coconut. enjoyed our stay at Pasefika Inn, would book again in the near future. close to town, cafe, restaurants. no hassles with bookings
- Te-Anau-Driver (2/5): Rats, Cockroaches and Bed-Bugs. - I went to Samoa for peace and tranquillity.
My friend suggested we stay at Pasefika Inn, as he had stayed there before. He prepaid for 3 nights at $95 tālā per night ($95 for two =$47.50 each or converted = $27 kiwi each). You couldn’t get accommodation for small amount in NZ
What a “Hell Hole”.
Honestly I don’t know where start because the previous writer “Health concerns and cleanliness issues” covered some issues.
1. On initial inspection I said I would accept the room providing I was given a higher bed. The bed was extremely low and hard - the mattress was like a 2inch ‘topper pad’ on a wooden slatted base. Similar to what you find in a trampers hut. However this request went unheeded.
2. The stairs were difficult to use and nobody offered to help with bags and no elevator provided.
3. Just after I went to bed a bloody rat the size of a small cat walked across my bed. I dived out of bed to phone somebody but no phone. We could not find that rat. I was tired but felt that rat could walk across my face anytime. There was no way it could get out the door so we knew it remained in the room.
3. The air conditioning unit needed a chair to stand on, to turn it on as there was no remote. The air conditioning unit was extremely noisy and vibrated. We couldn't make any adjustments to it. We finally turned it off which made the heat unbearable.
4. There was a terrible sewage stench. Dogs barked all night. Heavy traffic rumbled down street all night. It was terrible!
5. On getting out of bed I noticed I was covered in big red spots, all over my body. I thought it was mosquito, but quickly realised it was bed-bugs. My whole body is covered. They are not itchy and each bite is a very red, half inch welt. Upon arriving home they are slowly disappearing without leaving any scab, most unusual.
6. I complained to the receptionist in the morning about the rat. She said,” Oh thanks for telling us as they are not our Rats, they, and the Cockroaches belong to the neighbour and we have to tell him. They are his rats, we haven’t got any. I sad, “I am telling you that you have a bloody rat in that room!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not for families! - Perfect Location. Our room was Dirty, Floor wasnt swept and had a few roaches in bathroom. 2 Adults, 3 children and they gave us 1 toilet roll. No towels supplied until I asked the third time. Loud crowd outside our windows party up until late. We booked for 4 nights but due to condition etc we checked out ater 1 night and went to a cleaner hotel as I have an infant son who is crawling..
Only recommend to couples but not families with young toddlers.
- Y669ZHingridm (2/5): Health concerns and cleanliness issues - This place was dirty!
1. Towels issued were more grey than white and some had blood stains on them. Towels were also threadbare.
2. The floor left us with black feet as we walked on it.
3. The floor had not been swept under beds as we located dead insects and a child's toy left behind.
4. The top of the bench unit which is painted white showed black and dirt as we wiped it clean.
5. The bath had a clogged drain from which I pulled out long dark hair and placed on side of the bath. This hair stayed there for the next 2 days.
6. The toilet was loose and wobbled on the base and got banged each time we entered the bathroom as it was tucked in behind the door. The toilet seat was also loose.
7. The power cable for the mini fridge was showing the red and black cords and the fridge was difficult to access unless you got on your knees to get stuff out of.
8. One bed was extremely hard - the mattress was on a wooden base.
9. The air conditioning unit needed us to stand on a chair to turn it on as the remote was missing.
10. The air conditioning unit was extremely noisy and rattled noisily with 2 different tones which made sleep difficult. We couldn't make any adjustments to it. One person wore ear plugs at night.
11. Bathroom tap dripped and would not turn off and had dark orange stain in it where the water had stained it.
12. One sets of stairs leading upstairs was narrower than the rest and difficult to manage as we carried our own bags up and downstairs.
13. Vehicles were always parked on the drive and we have to squeeze past them when entering/leaving the premises.
The list is endless.....
- Mrs. Graeme (6/5): Good price for an overnight stay. - Stayed here overnight as we were traveling from New Zealand to American Samoa. We were in room 6. The bathroom door did open fully and that is because the toilet was right behind the door. Think it had been hit a few times as whole toilet moved. Could not turn the hot tap on in the hand basin Faucet seemed to be stuck. Looked like toilet paper had been thrown up onto the shelf above the toilet. The double bed had been made using twin size sheets (just lucky that there was only one person in that bed or it would have been a fight for bedding). No remote for the AC and so the room got quite cold overnight.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Location is great. In the city.
No room service. No new towels or sheets.
Aircon was not so great and loud.
Asked for a shuttle and told it would have a sign saying pasefika inn but it didnt.
My wife and I will not be staying here again
- Verified traveler (4/5): Close to all town amenities - Friendly staff
Had worst room so noisey all night
Facilities rather basic nice pool area
- Verified traveler (10/5): Its the staff that makes it worthwhile - Thank you Marie and the team for such great service. Always with a smile and always welcoming.
Will definately see you next time.
Keep up the great work.
- deeperthanpoetry (8/5): Helpful Caring staff - The staff here was SO KIND & helpful. I ended up catching some kind of cold, but the staff helped me a lot & directed me to the correct assistance to get better. I enjoyed my time here, its unfortunate I didnt get to experience more of Samoa cus I was sick, lol. Oh well, at least I know the staff here were very helpful & loving. I also felt very safe here.
- Jose (10/5): Helpful Caring Staff - DRMelo Loved this place. The staff here was SO KIND & helpful.
- Tamas (8/5): - Good location close to Apia city. The staff is really nice and helpful. Had some issues with paying by card.
- RissaF2017 (8/5): LOVED IT - Convenient to local shops and laundromat. Close to Apia Park too.
Loved the service of the lovely ladies who accommodated to everything. Simple breakfast, but then who wants a feast every morning with the heat of Samoa. Pool was lovely. We booked a room for 5 people, and they were awesome in ensuring we had a double and 3 singles as we were there with my older brother. 5min drive to Apia Township and walking distance to some nice eateries.
- Uelese (6/5): Dated Hotel - The hotel is very dated, the rooms were definitely more older then the photos we saw online.Overall hotel needs a renovation and upgrade.Prime location just the condition of the hotel needs a big improvement.
- rafi999 (4/5): Cheap & not very clean hotel - + cheap hotel with balcony, aircon, free breakfast (pancake, coffee, bread, jam, koko rice)
- pillow cases were not changed over few days, new towel with stains and black stuff on it. The maid wach the floor, then rince mop in the hand sink leaving it dirty and black. Plus hairs are still on the floor after cleaning. Swimming pool dirty and opaque, can't see the bottom anymore. No tv in the room, one in the lounge if u like to share with moskitos, but no battery in remote control. Bed low and mattress too soft for me.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Great location but uncomfortable rooms - Good location, swimming pool good, but single beds were bad just a thin mattress on hard wood slats. No tea or coffee making available in the room, felt quite dirty. Breakfast good but parking a bit of a squeeze. Shops are in close proximity and ATM money machine right next door.
- Pepe (4/5): definitely....NO FRILLS - Check-in ok. Staff friendly, but hotel very run-down and rooms were dirty. Fridge didn't work, hot water took ages and no pressure. Not even close to the photos on the website.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good services of staffs
- l0chnessi (10/5): Great Place - Was an awesome experience for our rugby team to spend 10 days and nights in beautiful Samoa at the Pasefika Inn
It's quiet and peaceful and the hospitality is great , the staff and management instantly made it feel home away from home
Thank You Pasefika Inn
God Bless
- Maaka-Rock-Nunz (10/5): AWESOMENESS - Where do I begin.......Huge praises go out to all the staff , management and security at the Pasefika Inn
Thank you all so much for everything you do God bless x
After heading out each day for our day trips and returning back to our rooms to relax and find our rooms cleaned top to bottom everyday was amazing, the hospitality is beyond imaginable
Nothing short of an absolute blessing to have stayed 10 days and nights in Beautiful Samoa at the Pasefika Inn
Thank you again xx
We will return
Maaka Anderson and family
- Ambrose (8/5): Weekend Getaway - For the value, it was a great place to stop and go. Beds were comfy, there was hot water and light breakfast serving only coffee for breakfast. For non- coffee drinkers there was no other option unless you bring your own desired drink. For us that just needed a place to rest, shower and move on to the next adventure, it worked out great.
- vanat2016 (10/5): Lifetime Experience - This was a lovely place to stay at..
From waking up to breakfast every morning to looking out at the beautiful view!
Would like to say the biggest thank you to all the staff there! Yous did an awesome job at making it feel like home for us all :') on behalf of myself and the rugby boys! We definatley enjoyed our 10 days.. Will see you all again shortly xxx
- Tarnz1978 (10/5): What a Blessing!!!! - Our Rugby team from Perth WA just got back from spending 10 days at the Pasefika Inn and we were so happy with everything from the Service, the Breakfast, the location and much more:) Thank u Molly and all the staff for catering to our every needs. We will definitely be back. Faafetai Lava
- Martin (6/5): Backpacker feel, good for one night stays. - Older hotel, has a feel like a cheaper backpacker place. Good enough for one night stay relatively near the airport (still 40 minutes drive), but I would not stay for longer, there are nicer places available on the island.
- Connie_Hopper (10/5): We liked it so much, we stayed twice! - This place is awesome, a hidden gem really. Its cheap, cheerful, clean & best of all is the location. You're a 10 minute walk away from the centre & 2 minutes away from nice restaurants and bars. Rooms are clean/spacious, water is warm (sometimes!) and the pool was great to cool off in the afternoon. There's a supermarket next door, laundry across the road, parking, car retnal & an ANZ cash point close by.
The breakfast is basic but plentiful & they keep it interesting with a mix between 'continental' and Samoan. I especially enjoyed the Koko Rice!
We loved the staff too, so cheerful & helpful all the time. This place isn't pretty or fancy but it's a great place to just chill out in and be close to everything.
- middlemanontheroad (6/5): No frills accommodation - My family of four stayed here for seven nights.
We got the family room which was unfortunately located by the street which got pretty noisy especially in the mornings.
The pool was nice and clean.
The staff were friendly and looked after our needs.
There is basic breakfast served in the mornings, mainly toast, butter, jam, some fruit, and some eggs and chocolate rice on some days.
There is a supermarket beside the inn where you can buy water and other basic stuff. Also, there are nearby restaurants (both fancy and basic ones). There is a also a nearby ANZ ATM in case you need to withdraw cash.
- Bowie (8/5): Excellent cheap hotel close to town - Beautiful affordable hotel. Lovely staff. Breakfast included, walk into town, taxi stand and laundry across the street. Supermarket/bakery next door. beautiful pool and fale in the back all for a very affordable price.
- David (8/5): Great option in Apia - Great comfortable rooms, with friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool.
- SophiaA1213 (10/5): A home away from home - Staff are very friendly and always willing to help you with any needs.
Room size perfect and beds comfy... Perfect price for those who need somewhere to
Base right in central Apia.... and great for families.
Breakfast provided perfect for sampling island style... Simple but delish. Supermarket
next door.
Air-conditioner in rooms to stay nice and cool.
- snw67 (10/5): Comfy digs - Good location with a pool out back. Rooms with en-suite and old-school air conditioning. Buffet breakfast provided. Just around the corner is Paddles (one of the best South Pacific restaurants) and walking distance to the CBD. Friendly, competent staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): You get what you pay for - Overall a budget hotel with matching facilities, service and comforts. Run down but location is ok - especially close to nightlife (don't worry you can't hear it).
Staff were a mixture. Some totally into it, customer oriented and willing to help. Others were quite rude (stressed). One was both (the tempest).
Rooms are all upstairs with no elevator so not great for disabled access.
I would only recommend to travellers who don't mind roughing it a bit (it's not a slum or anything).
- Jason (8/5): Great budget choice in Apia - Great hotel in a good central location. Clean and simple rooms, friendly staff, nice pool.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Could have been better - Mosquitos and Sandflies love eating me, so although the Air conditioning worked well, the window netting had a few holes and the a glass slat was missing. I got eatten a lot.The Staff were fantastic. The WiFi I paid for did not work.
- Jan (6/5): Close to the marina and shop right next door - I travellled alone, the hotel was very basic, cool on a hot day, close to everything, great base, quick taxis, shop next door that exchanges money into tala, water was cold in showers in the morning but warm at night....lovely kitchen staff and receptionists.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pasefika Inn - My stay at the Pasefika Inn was a good stay the hotel was in a great location because it was close to the local shops and town it was also convenient because it was close to friend's and family! The only disappointing things about staying at the Pasefika Inn was that the staff weren't over friendly and when we booked in the lady that took us to our room started to gossip about other staff! And all our taps in our bathroom sink where both broken so we couldn't use it! Also our air conditioner was broken and would always stay on max and 21 derrges because there was no remote control to change the temperature of the room!
- 428bales (8/5): Place to be in Samoa - Home Away - While the stereotypical Samoa vacation usually involves a beach, waterfalls, backwards buses they have etc. Some of the best vacations, in fact, don’t involve traveling all those bucket-list we prepare before leaving our own country they happen in the hotel we booked it . For me it was the staffs of Pasefika Inn.
From the early morning we check in , we knew we will be well cared and loved.
The staffs were amazing, they surely help us in any ways they could. Staffs at Pasefika Inn we more like our family.
I strongly recommend this hotel if you travelling to Samoa alone or with friends. Its a walking distance from Apia town.
- Maria (6/5): Friendly, safe & great for families - If you are arriving to the Inn at night time, the gate will be closed. Either the security guard will pop out and open it for you, or if no one is forthcoming right away you can slide it open to get inside. If you have prearranged with staff about your arrival details, reception will remain open until you arrive no matter what time you touch down. We arrived about 9.30pm and were greeted by staff who were friendly and welcoming. Check-in was a breeze & staff helped us with our bags which was very kind - as the rooms are upstairs. The Inn has a 24 hour security guard and a fully locked gate where we could park our rental van which made us feel safe. The rooms provided were pre-air conditioned and tidy on our arrival which was perfect. Our party was big so the rooms catered to our needs in terms of size and bedding. The bathrooms were sufficient, a little grimy in places & could be improved by way of new shower curtains, bathroom mat & hand towels, but was OK as we just stayed for one night. Breakfast was included & served at 7.30am buffet style. We had fresh fruit & bread (toaster available), traditional cocoa rice, pancakes, & tea or coffee which was lovely and eating area was nice. The pool area is open at 7am, and is beautifully kept, swimming at that time of morning with the hot temperatures was heaven for the kids. Check out was quick and easy. Thanks again to the staff at the Inn. We will definitely be staying here again & will be recommending to family & friends.
- Ashleigh (4/5): Dated hotel but very central - We arrived very late at night after getting severely lost trying to drive from the airport through Apia to find this hotel. When we arrived the staff were waiting for us which was lovely. The room we stayed in was not all that clean (dirty in the corners of the bathroom) and the air conditioner made clunking noises all night! Though we were glad for the cool air, I didn't sleep much at all as it was very loud and made me jump everytime. The breakfast was very basic just some fruit and toast with spagetti. Because I am gluten free and anticipated there being not a lot of gluten free food, I brought my own bread and they were happy to toast it for me. Over all the staff were lovely but the general vibe of the hotel is rather run down and very dated. With an upgrade to the facilities, they would have a great hotel as the location is very good and the staff are very obliging.
- Misty (8/5): - Great affordable accommodation for a large family of 7. Pool facility perfect for all ages from our 3yr old to our 16yr old and many in between :)
- Annie (6/5): It was nice - Our stay was very good our only concerns were the bathrooms, they weren't the best I would say. And also the parking, it wasn't big enough not was it safe I guess because of how small it was. But other than that everything else was lovely.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Budget is right - Checked in late due to weather delay however contacted hotel prior to arrival for a lift (which wasn't there or left? no apology) - Upside of no-show: later found it was charge was pricey, cheaper to taxi. Poor receptionist wasn't expecting us. Sadly hilarious as my sister (who arrived in Samoa earlier that day) left a message for us on our arrival. So she put us four in a room with six single-beds. We were told it would be sorted in the morning. Next morning we were advised correct room sorted for the four of us by our return in the evening. Went upstairs that evening to find only a double bed & one single. The single beds are foam mattress' on hard wooden slats (like school camp). They moved in another single bed. Cleaning staff were lovely but had to request new towels or sheet changes. Floor was dirty. NOTE: No cleaning on Sunday. Breakfast= spaghetti on toast 4 of 8 days. Other days pancakes x2 and Koko-rice and boiled egg. Toast, coconut, papaya, good variety of spreads, and tea / coffee were a constant. Staff were polite but we dd have to ask for things to be done. One TV room. Shared kitchen facilities on 2nd floor (Electric kettle & microwave). Pool was lovely (but be careful slippery when wet). Communication between staff needs improving. I called one evening to see if my wife was still at the hotel (i was with family). Reception advised she'd just left. 40min later after she hadn't arrived (6min taxi ride/35min walk) called again. Oh, they said-she was in our room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The pool was not working as it was under maintenance but WE were not told till WE checked in. Samoa is so hot so WE always try to find a place with a pool or close to a swimming beach so really disappointed pool was not working. Facilities were very simple and no restaurant.
- Jess (8/5): Perfect location. Right near the water. - Air conditioned. Swimming Pool.
Overall fairly clean.
Hotel reception + staff are very friendly and helpful.
Located near the water + taxis + restraunts.
2min taxi ride to town + markets.
Downside - very noisy, can here everyone walking down halway, opening/closing doors, talking.
- Kate (8/5): Convenient hotel close to Apia's town centre. - My familiy from NZ (2 daughters in their early 20s, and me) stayed at Pasefika Inn for 7 days in mid October 2015. The location of the hotel was excellent for us, as we were able to walk or get inexpensive taxi rides to many of the places and eateries we wanted to try. There was also a supermarket next door for us to buy food items when other shops were closed (Sundays, also we struck a holiday which we weren't expecting). Staff were brilliant - friendly, obliging and went out of their way to be helpful. Rooms were simple and clean - air conditioning unit in our room was quite noisy, but managed to sleep through it. Bathroom was a bit run down, and needed a bit of a spruce up, but everything functioned OK. Breakfast was provided which included papaya, banana, coconut. Sheltered outdoor eating space shrouded in tropical trees a nice start to the day. Loved the swimming pool, which was clean and a good depth and where we had a daily dip. This is not a flash resort, but it is pleasant and we were happy with our choice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Excellent staff, rooms old décor and very basic, great pool and area. All in all, a very good stay.
Value for money and good location.
- mark (8/5): Close to everything - Nice staff very helpful and happy. Samoa is a must visit to apprectiate their culture a simple and caring way of life it seems very family orintated and everyone works hard for the family. The city is very pretty, lovely bay and nice sea breeze to holiday and rest.
- Sue and Rob (6/5): Budget accommodation but basics not up to scratch - We stopped one night, after landing in Samoa. The place was clean, but the staff were not particularly helpful and took their time finding our booking (which we didn't need late at night). The room was clean, but the bed was uncomfortable, there were no towels and the air-conditioning didn't work.
Due to the lateness of our arrival we didn't actually give them the opportunity to "put it right", but the towels surely are a basic room check!
Breakfast was OK, but the view from the restaurant was neighbouring derelict properties.
The layout was OK, but be warned of stairs if you have trouble lifting your cases. Sadly we never even SAW the pool (from the main photo).
Also note that Apia Airport is a 45 minute drive from Apia. I suggest NOT staying in Apia the night if you're moving on elsewhere. Next time I'll try finding something nearer the ferry or airport itself, even if it costs more. The taxi cost to Apia will make up the difference!
