• Xynia (1/5): The district around the hostel is the worse experience I ever had. The rooms are ok but miss a table or chair- any furni - The staff being as helpful as they could. The surrounding area is full of junkies. The parking where the hotel’s staff proposed me to leave the car wasn’t safe and I got two broken windows the second night what of course destroyed my trip and made me check out a day earlier.
• Harper (2/5): Great location, terrible nights sleep - Great location, walking distance to a lot of good spots and sky train is nearby. Great bars around, near the water. Don't have to go far for food, drinks or entertainment. So loud! The bar downstairs is a lot of fun, but there is no sound proofing, you can hear every lyric being played in your room until about 2am. Very hard to sleep with the pounding bass and loud music. The floors are all wooden and creak when anyone walks on them and there are two cats living there. I don't like having animals in the tables I'm eating off and jumping into the place I'm sleeping
• Clio (6/5): Great location, it's a party hostel - Great location The room for 2 women was spacious Clean but old and vetuste Bathrooms and showers are really small It's very very noisy with the pub downstairs, which is always crowded - it's a party hostel!
• Liza (2/5): - In the middle of gas town which is super convenient. Beds were comfy, which is def a + for a hostel. We were staying on the first floor the first two nights and it’s right above a super busy and loud bar. The speakers are on the ceiling, so basically right under the floors of the bedroom. The bed was shaking until 3am, it was horrible. We complained and they put us in a bedroom in the second floor which was way better. Make sure you ask for a second floor room and it’s a decent hostel. First floor should be something else because it’s terrible.

• EDGAR (5/5): Very old building with a nice and friendly staff. - The main door of our Dorm was very squeaky so we ended up not closing that door whole days when we are inside that dorm. 🥲🥲🥲

• sapphire (1/5): Pretty disappointing and dirty. - Good location There is 2 cats that live there and there is no mention of this when booking. It was very unclean and our room apart from the beds being changed was pretty much uncleaned. The rug specially was covered in dirt and cat hair. There was a horrible cat urine smell in the corridor that was attempting to be covered up by a horrible lemon smell. It says party hotel but didn’t mention it was loud music playing till 3am this needs to be more predominant on booking. Overall would not recommend

• Denisa (8/5): - I really like the location. I slept on the top bunk of a bunk bed. There was no protection against falling at all. A small bedside lamp for each bed would also be useful.

• Lorraine (3/5): NEVER staying here again! - walking distance to Chinatown, but you will have to walk past many homeless drug addicts who are folding on the sidewalk, screaming obscenities into the void, and smoking fent right before your eyes! back in my day these people would go into the alleyway to do this, I guess those days are gone lol… I did not feel safe walking alone at night AND I LIVE IN OAKLAND CALIFORNIA. that should say something! this hostel is in skid row! the girl’s shower room was dirty and there is no body wash or shampoo so bring your own. and a towel if you can, because they charge for towel rental. I gave the towel to a staff member in the laundry room, then the staff at the front desk got irritated with me despite never giving me instructions on what to do with it. they also never informed me that there are lock boxes available under the beds. I would have appreciated knowing that/having a key for one! worst part, there are no curtains on the beds. not everyone will sleep at the same time, so a simple curtain can help those who want to go to sleep earlier hide the light. also, a little privacy is nice! consider adding a piece of fabric to the bunk beds. it’s a cheap improvement that can help your hostel greatly.

If you want to sleep thru the night and not feel like your between 4 subwoofers surrounded you on steroids turned up to 10 then times that by 10 then no dont stay here, beds are uncomfortable, rooms get to stuffy fast and the bar downstairs shouldnt even be classified as a bar its technically a club and they play music til 3am ! DONT STAY HERE The fact that the place is above a bar and it seems if you leave a poor review while staying there it almost seems like they know so they crank up the music even more. Also since i am Autistic it just made the whole experience worth cause I was just overwhelmed and overstimulated with everything going on

• SAM (6/5): Good location - The location's great, near the Skyline Metro and bus. I like the Gaston neighborhood. The staff are also nice. I didn't expect much, and that's fine. My room's right above the bar, and the first night, the loud music and people cheering and singing were so loud I couldn't even sleep well. I don't remember what happened, but I woke up 3 or 4 times in the middle of the night. Other than that, it's worth the price for 3 nights, and I like the city and the experience.

Advise: bring noise cancelling headphones - It was cheap, felt safe in spite of it being at the centre of the city, the bed was pretty alright, nice people, slept well (Thanks to my headphone, cancelled out the noise downstairs:)) I think it was very fair for the price. Good enough to catch some zzz’s.

I meravigliosi gatti del primo piano! :) letti comodi e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. era nota la rumorosità dovuta al bar annesso sottostante, quindi ero preparata, ma la confermo. bagni molto scomodi e piccoli. pulizia migliorabile ma accettabile. comunque nulla di grave e ci torno perché nell' insieme per un breve soggiorno va benissimo!

Chill atmosphere and the common area is a great place to meet people from all over the world. Highly recommend this place for affordability and cleanliness. Bring earplugs as the bar downstairs can be heard thru the floor. If you need more quietness get a room on second floor. Otherwise it’s great.

Stinkendstes Hostel das ich während 40 Länder bereisen erlebt habe. Es stinkt vorallem in den Zimmern nach Hund oder sonst was Abgestandenem. Man beginnr selber danach zu riechen, es ist ekelhaft

It's really close to the center and not that far from a busstop and it takes about 10 minutes to the skytrain at waterfront station. The hostel is right above the cambie bar, so you're able to hear the music late into the night.

• Dott (8/5): Nice stay - Felt secure. Good management. I like how there's the bar underneath and the deals on food and drinks. Hallways & common room have a charming rustic vibe. As I was folding one of the sheets back up as part of the check out rules I was a bit disturbed how dirty one sheet was and it wasn't me. I think that should've been tossed. Everything else was good.
