O lugar é muito mais especial do que parece pelas fotos… A localização é um pouco afastada mas isso torna o lugar ainda mais lindo: tudo à volta é paisagem de tirar o fôlego! O quarto era enorme (mesmo) e muitíssimo confortável, além da limpeza 100%. O café da manhã é muito gostoso, assim como o restaurante. Todos da equipe foram incrivelmente simpáticos e prestativos. Vamos sentir muita falta desse lugar!

It will be the highlight of your trip. - Location, history, and the beautiful grounds were spectacular The wine tour and lunch were not as elaborate as previous wine tours and tastings I’ve done in the past in France and Spain. The tour woman was very friendly and courteous, and knowledgeable, but we just felt the tour lacked more details and ways to see the crops and understanding of the wine process.

Valentina (9/5): Soggiorno incantevole con vista spettacolare e colazione eccellente 🌿 - Abbiamo trascorso una notte presso il Castello Vicchiomaggio e l’esperienza è stata nel complesso molto piacevole. La location è semplicemente meravigliosa, con una vista splendida sulle colline del Chianti che rende il soggiorno davvero suggestivo. Purtroppo il tempo non è stato dei migliori (molto vento), ma ovviamente questo non dipende dalla struttura. All’arrivo siamo stati accolti da una ragazza in reception molto solare, gentile e disponibile, che ci ha accompagnati fino alla nostra camera. La camera, situata nel castello, era spaziosa, molto bella e con un letto davvero comodo. L’unico piccolo appunto riguarda la disposizione del mobile con la televisione, che risultava un po’ scomoda da vedere dal letto. Pulizia buona e curata. Non abbiamo avuto modo di provare il ristorante per cena, ma abbiamo usufruito della colazione della domenica mattina ed è stata davvero eccezionale: ampia scelta tra dolce e salato, con prodotti freschi e di grande qualità. Una delle migliori colazioni mai provate. Ci torneremmo molto volentieri, magari in una stagione più calda, per poter godere al meglio degli spazi esterni, della piscina e provare anche il ristorante.

Kenrick (10/5): Amazing property and location. Great staff - Everyone at the castello was generous. We arrived late to the property causing us to miss our winery tour and dinner. They accommodated us by pushing our dinner back, even allowing us time to change and get ready first. They offered to give us a tour the next day but we did not have anytime unfortunately. Dinner and breakfast was lovely, the food, wine, staff and pianist made our night. The property itself is gorgeous, idyllic, my only regret is not having more time to spend there.

Dinu (9/5): Awesome location - It is a unique experience to spend at least a night in this location. The room we stayed in was huge, clean and decorated with good taste, keeping the ancient atmosphere. It features a kitchenette in case of need. The infinity pool has breathtaking views and it's a perfect relaxation location. It's a pity the swimming pool is not heated, but also understandable for the region, as not quite needed normally. Still, the 18 degrees water temperature in the late October days was a bit too challenging, still.

Family run, owners were very kind and accommodating. They stocked up our villa with milk, eggs, coffee, a complementary bottle of their signature, wine, and other treats. The villa was well outfitted with all the essentials for cooking and enjoying a very long stay. Everything was truly wonderful however while our villa was part of the Castello Vicciomaggio property, we were not made to feel free to explore the main building and garden areas or use the amenities which was a bit disappointing.

Man Sze (10/5): Beautiful stay - The castle is built back in 1300 but surprisingly the interior is very well kept and the hotel room is very large. We had a lovely stay and had dinner at the historical dining hall. The staff are friendly and attentive. Food and wine is amazing, love the homemade pasta. When we left the property, our car broke down and we had to text the hotel for taxi hotlines. Sarah from the property helped us promptly and provided us with various taxi drivers contact. Appreciate the hospitality and all the small and attentive details from the staff and the property. Highly recommend.

Thomas (10/5): Bloody lovely - Amazing and absolutely beautiful. The location was a little isolated and getting a taxi was impossible the night we wanted to go out. This of course is not the hotels fault. Our honesty box was sold out of crisps when asking the staff to refill they said they were sold out. However another honesty bar was found and there was mountains of crisps.

We look forward to returning and spending even longer next time at Castello Vicchiomaggi - The castle villa and grounds are exceptionally beautiful even above and beyond what you would expect in Chianti , Tuscany. Delicious on site restaurant and incredibly nice and helpful staff made our stay all the more beautiful. We were the first to stay in one of their recently renovated self sufficient holiday villas. In short, beautiful, clean, quiet and 360 views to die for. They wouldn’t let me move in permanently. Seriously, there wasn’t a thing I would change.

Rachel (10/5): - A highlight during an already excellent vacation!! The service and amenities were top notch. Breakfast was delicious, wine tasting impeccable, and dinner scrumptious. The infinity pool was quiet and so relaxing to spend the day by!!! Could not recommend more highly. Easy to get to by car. Do yourself a favor and book!

John (8/5): - A beautiful place! The castle and staff are fine. No air conditioning anywhere and it was super hot. This is not a good option for anyone with limited mobility. You have to carry your bags quite a distance across gravel to your room and then upstairs while dealing with keys and gates. Our room (michaelangelo) is needing an updo and smelled like mold upstairs. Infinity pool was wonderful and views are the best in Tuscany. We stayed for dinner, which was actually pretty good but again, no air conditioning and hot. Same with breakfast. Private tour is overpriced compared to others in area but guide was knowledgeable. Biggest complaints by far were the air conditioning and Internet. Ciao!
emily (10/5): - Everything The rooms were very spacious and felt we could have had 1 room instead of having to pay for 2 rooms. There was a pull out sofa bed that easily would have slept the 2 kids. But this wasn't an option when booking.

The building, the view, the pool area, the staff, the room. We would highly recommend this place to anybody considering a stay here. Everything was perfect. There is nothing I could say about this place other than positive comments.

Nilsson (10/5): - De har gjort så fint överallt. Trevlig personal. Guiden var fenomenal. Mycket trevlig middag i ett fint slott. Wifi funkade sådär i annexet.
