• Thorsteinn (3/5): Very disappointing indeed. - The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. The biggest issue was that there was a really awful smell in the room. We talked to reception, but they could not help (or seem to understand the situation). The skylights were filthy (see pics). There was no comfortable seating. There was a balcony but the view was blocked by high vegetation, so it could not be enjoyed as one was led to believe in the description of the room. Very disappointing indeed.

• Vandré (10/5): - A localização é simplesmente excelente: só seguir em linha reta saindo da estação Como S. Giovanni e 5 min do embarque do Traghetto para Bellagio. De frente para uma praça muito linda e fácil acesso ao centro histórico. Recebemos um upgrade para um quarto no 3° andar, o quarto era excelente, amplo, limpo e confortável, o banheiro era grande e chuveiro ótimo. Atendimento também foi excelente! O secador de cabelo, era muito fraco.

• Gayane (8/5): Прекрасное место! - Отличное место! Прямо в сердце города. Очень чистая комната. Очень удобная кровать, прекрасный персонал. Это был худший ресторан в Италии: очень медленный и недовольный персонал, принесли жуткий чай, и пока 20 минут несли суп, он остыл. Показала официанту просто воду вместо чая( он так и не заварился), он просто пожал плечами и ушел). Не надо там кушать. Вокруг много других мест.
• Urs (9/5): Zentrale Lage in Fussgängerzone - Super zentrale Lage direkt am Piazza Allessandro Volta, alles bequem zu Fuss erreichbar. Auto im Parking Centro abstellen, sind nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuss. Sehr freundliches Personal. Zimmer etwas hellhörig, aber sonst alles 🔝

• arlette (8/5): Séjour agréable, bien que tarif très cher sans pdj. - Belle chambre: Literie confortable. Salle de bains plutôt petite, mais bien équipée. La chambre De Luxe est très bien pour trois personnnes, car un lit single se trouve dans un coin à l'écart du lit double. Le petit déjeuner qui n'est pas inclus dans le prix de la chambre, alors que celui-ci est assez élevé!!!

• Klaudia (8/5): Perfect for quick stay in the heart of Como - What we loved about this place was the central location as we stayed for only one night. The room itself was spacious and clean with comfortable bed and practical bathroom. The only downside for us was the bar downstairs, which is busy and noisy but you cannot hear anything in the room.
• SUSAN (6/5): Managerial staff was very nice - Location was exceptional First room was awful; smelled terrible and had no windows! No coffee in room, bathroom electric outlet didn’t work. Towel warmer didn’t work. Staff corrected swiftly by moving us the next day.

• Claudio Daccò (9/5): Molto consigliato - Già prima della prenotazione il personale ha risposto in modo chiaro e veloce alle mie domande, assicurandomi un letto matrimoniale che dall'annuncio non era garantito. L'hotel si trova in zona pedonale, in una delle piazzette più suggestive di Como, vicina a lago, con molti bar e ristoranti che vi si affacciano e dispone lui stesso di un buon bistrot con dehor esterno molto carino. La camera è risultata molto accogliente, pulita, con spazi ampi e persino un balconcino privato sulla piazzetta. Il layout e l'arredamento sono da hotel di categoria superiore, come il piano del lavabo e specchiera del bagno direttamente in camera enormi, grande doccia e servizi in vani separati di almeno 2 metri per 1 ciascuno. Armadio molto capiente e letto grande con materasso di qualità. Prezzo onestissimo. Bisogna tenere conto che affacciandosi in una piazza del genere, c'è un rumore di fondo fino a sera tarda, ma gli infissi sono di qualità ed isolano molto. I cuscini a disposizione sono stati di quelli alti e molli, mentre mi sarebbe piaciuto trovarli più tradizionali. Avendo ricevuto la camera proprio sopra alle scale che conducono al bistrot, purtroppo i rumori del bar salivano già dalla mattina presto. Niente di insopportabile che abbia alterato la qualità del nostro soggiorno.

• Michael (10/5): - A very good small hotel in a fantastic location in Como. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Plenty dining/drinking options round about and the hotel is 5 mins from the lake ticket office, bus station and a 10/15 min walk from Como S. Giovanni train station.

Assez bruyant jusqu’à 23h avec de la musique et la foule dans la rue, après bruyant niveau cuisine. Mais étant au deuxième étage pas côté rue c’était atténué, demander à être plus haut qu’au premier.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely stay - A hidden gem! The room was beautiful, the owners were very friendly, and the location is perfect if you want to be able to walk to everything but be away from the crowd. We would definitely stay here again.

• Edson (6/5): Excellent location, bad Wi-Fi, make sure you know what to do with your car and luggage before you get there. - The location is excellent, near everything. They don’t give you any help for getting there or leaving with a car or luggage, it’s simply your problem. There’s no way to get there by car, the hotel is inside the ZTL and they don’t help tou with that, and when you get there by yourself they don’t have any way of helping you with your luggage. The WiFi is also almost unusable, and every time you leave the hotel and get back (or even when it just looses connection- and it happens a lot) you gotta go through the registration process all over again.

What we did not like of the property are room specific mostly and include: the knob on the shower are very hard to use - difficult to turn, cannot grip them to apply force. (this one item will prevent us from returning or recommending) Our shower drain was plugged - was fixed the 2nd day. no mini-frig so can't cool liquids or save food. no chair to sit. only one suitcase stand. No included breakfast a big negative, and the separate restaurant was very expensive compared to other hotel's food options.

For the price I would have expected 24 hour reception and basic amenities such as a kettle and fridge in my room. My room was on the top floor and there were stairs for the final level. The helpful young man on reception carried my bag when I arrived but I had to manage on my own when leaving (as no reception in the morning).

The location is unbeatable and the Cafe downstairs is quite convenient for gatherings when travelling as a group. The location bears with it quite some noise till late night hours.

• Diane (9/5): unpleasant member of staff - I loved the crisp fresh bedding. The staff were all very pleasant apart from one. He may be the manager but was very gruff, never smiled and made me feel that my presence was inconveniencing him. I hope he is not there when I next stay at the hotel.
