• Robert (10/5): An excellent traditional Japanese experience. - The staff were excellent and the accommodation was great. Even before we arrived they offered to collect our bags and the shuttle service was very helpful. Our room had a stunning view over the bay. The traditional Japanese meals were superb. Many activities, a member of staff even showed us how to make the elusive origami crane. We travelled 6 hours to reach the hotel and had an unforeseen delay, however in true Japanese style there is no flexibility- if you are late you miss dinner. Thankfully we made it and it was worth the rush.

Nous devons retirer nos chaussures en arrivant, ce que nous avons trouvé excellent pour maintenir la propreté des lieux. Les chambres sont spacieuses et décorées dans le style japonais, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La vue sur la mer est incroyable, et l’emplacement de l’hôtel est incroyablement calme. L’hôtel propose un service de navette pratique depuis le port de Miyajima. Au loft de l’hôtel, il y a de nombreuses activités pour s’occuper, comme le ping-pong, l’écriture de son nom en japonais et l’origami. Il y a également une terrasse où l’on peut se détendre et prendre l’air. L’hôtel a une petite boutique propose des collations et de jolis souvenirs à des prix raisonnables. Le personnel est aux petits soins et incroyablement accueillant. Nous avons loué des vélos à l’hôtel pour 500 yens par jour, une offre très intéressante. Les vélos étaient excellents ! Les repas sont typiquement japonais, et nous les avons beaucoup appréciés, en particulier la délicieuse crème matcha en dessert du soir. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel si vous recherchez une expérience unique dans un cadre idéal pour se détendre. Rien ! Tout était parfait

• Inge (7/5): Super fijn voor een nachtje, maar wel wat duur - Super vriendelijk personeel, warm welkom. Ook had de kamer prachtig uitzicht op het water en Hiroshima, en was het echt een traditionele kamer wat heel fijn was. Ook fijn we hadden gevraagd of ze de bedden vast klaar konden maken voor onze dreumes van 1,5, dat was geen probleem. Het was vooral erg prijzig voor wat je kreeg, die prijzen kunnen wel iets omlaag vind ik in verhouding tot kwaliteit.

• Alyson (10/5): An amazing experience on a stunningly beautiful island - Such an incredible experience, I have never known hotel service like this, staff greeting you by name rather than room number (and remembering you), the food was exceptional. We had an amazing kaiseki meal in the evening and then a plentiful tasty breakfast. It was lovely to see deer outside the window too. After the evening meal we also took up the opportunity for a shuttle to the centre to see the tori gate lit up at night. I've not slept on a futon on tatami mats before but it was surprisingly comfortable A truly magical stay, the like of which i am sure i will never experience elsewhere There was nothing to dislike

• Sam Rye (9/5): 또 가고싶어요. - 직원분들이 모두 친절하고 응대가 정중했습니다. 무엇보다, 시설전반이 매우 청결하게 잘 관리되고있다는 인상을 받았습니다. 연식있는 건물이었지만, 전혀 문제가 되지않았고, 오히려 고풍스럽게 느껴져서 좋았습니다. 사슴들이 유유히 거닐던 호텔 앞 쉼터도 참 편안하고 운치있었습니다. 석식이 참 맛있었고, 상차림을 도와주신 히비키씨와 직원분들께도 다시 한번 감사의 마음을 전합니다. 1. 노천탕이 따로 없었지만, 대욕장이 워낙 넓고 청결하여 충분히 좋았습니다. 2. 아침식사가 맛있었지만, 빵과 샐러드 등이 조금 더 다채로우면 좋겠습니다. 3.조식 식당에서 좌석이 비어있다면, 앉고 싶은 자리에 자유롭게 착석하게 해주면 어떨까 싶었습니다. 오전에 창가에서 아기사슴을 보며 식사하고 싶었지만, 다음 기회로 미룰수밖에 없었습니다. ※전반적으로 정말 만족스러운 숙박이었으며, 원하는 날짜에 공실에 여유만 있다면, 꼭 또 방문하고싶습니다.

• Roy (9/5): Fun authentic experience ! - My son and I stayed for one night on a tour of Japan. We wanted a more traditional Japanese experience then a standard hotel and we were not disappointed. We took the train to the ferry port and a short and inexpensive ride to the island of Miyajima. The hotel is not in town proper which we like for quiet while sleeping. There is shuttle service available by calling / emailing the hotel, but we wanted to walk and explore. As our luggage consisted of two small backpacks, It only took about 15 minutes to reach the hotel on foot. We were then able to leave our packs and go back out exploring. After exploring town and hiking down from the top of the island (the last cable car is at 430), we were able to check in and go to our room. The room was spacious and had a large window looking out to the sea. There were a small table and two chairs to enjoy the view and relax. The shower and toilet were adequate but dated. If you are tall bring a helmet because you will skin your nugget on the low door jams. Dinner was served in the room in traditional style and was very good. They have a good selection of libations to add to the experience. After dinner we were able to use the shuttle into town and back so we could see the temple at high tide (and without the crowds!) When we got back our beds were prepared and ready for us. Breakfast was served in the dining room and again was traditional Japanese fair. Slippers (as is the case most everywhere) were used in the hotel. The thing that set this place apart was that they had a pair that fit (size 15) Sleeping on the floor makes getting up in the middle of the night a bit more difficult. (more of an observation) Check in is at 3. Not 2:30, not 2:59......Really, not much to complain about. if you want to be in the thick of the crowd this won't be your jam.

The staff were happy to speak to us in Japanese but also spoke fluent English. I appreciate that the room has a shower and bath in addition to the onsen facilities at the hotel (some Ryokan don't have a shower in the room). Staff were so friendly and made the experience extra special. They also accommodated for me being vegetarian and the food was excellent!

La nourriture n’était pas bonne, bien que traditionnelle, la qualité des produits laissait à désirer. Nous avons mangé de bons petit déjeuner et dinner traditionnels japonais ailleurs et avons donc un élément de comparaison. L’hôtel à une forte odeur de vieille moquette, l’état global de l’hôtel est obsolète y compris la machine à laver payante qui a empiré l’état de nos affaires (pas de lessive alors que les instructions disaient qu’elle était inclus dans le cycle, et machine à sécher défectueuse donc le linge n’a pas séché et a vite pris une odeur d’humidité).

Cenar en la habitación, nuestra primera experiencia en un onsen, los yukatas, todo nos encantó. La atención cuidada del personal es espectacular. Que te recojan las maletas y cuando llegues estén en tu habitación y que te las lleven al día siguiente al ferry mientras hacíamos turismo por la isla, eso no tiene precio. Nous avons beaucoup aimé le fait de se déchausser dès l'arrivée à l'hôtel, ainsi que les yukatas que nous portions aux repas et pour se rendre aux bains. Le personnel de l'hôtel est d'une extrême gentillesse et très attentionné, beaucoup de soin est apporté à chaque petit détail du séjour, et toutes nos demandes ont été prises au sérieux et traitées avec une extrême attention. Nous avons également loué 3 vélos dont un vélo taille enfant, et avons exploré le sud de l'île avec plaisir. Les repas pris à l'hôtel étaient délicieux, et la chambre spacieuse nous convenait parfaitement, nous avons aimé dormir sur les futons. Le seul bémol du séjour était l'absence de rideaux aux fenêtres de notre chambre, il faisait grand jour trop tôt pour nous !

• Sarah (8/5): A pleasant stay with a nice touch of Japanese living. - The staff were very attentive, facilities good and a lovely Japanese dining experience. Although it is not located in the main area of Miyajima the shuttle bus was always readily available making it easy to go back and forth. They even let us keep our luggage at the hotel and delivered to us at the ferry terminal.

• Stephanie (8/5): Je recommande cet hôtel! - Le personnel est vraiment exceptionnel: attentionnés, à l'écoute et chaleureux. Ils sont venus nous chercher au terminal du bateau en dehors des heures prévues pour nous accommoder et nous avons été très bien accueillis. L'hôtel est un peu excentré mais la vue de la chambre était magnifique. Les installations sont un peu vieilles mais tout est propre.
• Silvia (10/5): Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille avec vue sur la mer - Nous avons adoré son emplacement, face a la mer tout en étant à l’écart de la foule. Et la gentillesse et disponibilité du personnel, du jamais vu ! Le repas du soir était vraiment délicieux et très copieux. Si on doit vraiment trouver un point négatif, on peut dire que les sanitaires des chambres sont un peu vieillots, mais c’est vraiment du détail !

• Remi (10/5): - The staff were so lovely and attentive. We don't speak very good japanese but almost all staff could help us in English. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful! The staff were able to take our bags to the hotel for us when we first arrived so we could sight see, and the shuttle bus was very prompt! The traditional japanese room and the onsen were great experiences for us. Honestly everything was great, an awesome traditional japanese hotel experience. The traditional futon beds on the floor were a little hard, but that was all part of the experience.

• Christophe (8/5): Hôtel sympa sur cette belle île mais trop excentré et avec un rapport qualité prix pas au bon niveau. - Le dîner et petit déjeuner étaient très bon La chambre était typique Ryocan La vue était belle Le personnel était aimable Ils viennent récupérer les bagages au niveau du ferry si on arrive avant l’heure du check in ce qui est très pratique pour se balader. Trop excentré pour sortir se balader le soir sur l’île Heure de fin de repas trop rigide. On nous prie gentiment d’aller finir notre verre en dehors du restaurant car il est 20h30, l’heure de fermeture alors qu’ils nous demandent de venir à 19h30 avec un service du coup un peu rapide….. Check out à 10h max avec départ de la dernière navette à 10h, c’est mettre une petite pression inutile. Futons vraiment pas très confortables. Et donc avec un prix quand même significatif cela n’en fait pas un hôtel à un bon rapport qualité prix pour ce standing.

• laura (8/5): L’isola è un incanto, l’hotel conserva il suo fascino tradizionale, ma ha bisogno di un intervento di restauro e rinnova - La vista delle camere e la cena servita in camera da personale gentilissimo In generale ci sarebbe bisogno di rinnovare, moquette molto sporca e odore stantio ovunque, i bagni in camera sono davvero vecchi e poco accoglienti
• ISABELLE (10/5): Une belle parenthèse en famille - Le personnel est extraordinaire, surtout la petite serveuse aux 2 nattes le soir, trop drôle, attentionnée, toute douce. Les repas sont extraordinaires. C’était une belle parenthèse en famille et chère à notre cœur. Et les bye-bye en partant… tout était TOP, vraiment MERCI
• Simona (10/5): - Wonderful hotel, not modern but with a suggestive atmosphere, wide rooms, in a peaceful context, with a beautiful view. The shuttle from the station was helpful and the dinner with very good food, the staff very kind. Nothing!
