• Toranee (2/5): - The place is and roomy but it’s extremely old and dated. When I arrived no one was at the front desk so the security guard registered me and took me up to my room. All the lights on in the room felt like it was to keep the roaches away. I sat down and after a few minutes I heard noise coming from the kitchen sounded like rodents scratching around so I got my bags and left immediately. The room was big and clean but very old and dated. I didn’t feel comfortable there.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice Big Room - I booked the Deluxe Room and it was very large and nice with a balcony. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice but could have better lighting. Nice and useful amenities. Only some of the staff can speak English and they were really nice but others who can not speak English were not helpful at all. The shuttle/buggy/vehicle only runs until 7 pm and it is very hard to access it. I had decided to stay here for this service vs other properties but was quite sad that it is so hard to use. It does not operate when it is raining so you need to be prepared to walk the distance in the rain. The overall cleaning was fine but could have been better. I had a small kitchen that was nice.

• Bret (8/5): A repeat customer - Good location close to bars and nightlife, but far enough away not to be affected by the noise. Close to bars, restaurants, BTS. Large rooms for a reasonable price, but could do with some refurbishment. At this time, very limited English channels available on (a CRT) TV. I understand that costs had to be cut due to Covid, but with returning tourists a more diverse TV selection would be good.
• Randall (2/5): Serious attempt to rip us off - There was a small stain on a sheet. They tried to charge us $100 for the sheet. They did give us the option to take it and have it cleaned. As we were in town the next day we did. But I have never had a hotel have me go clean the sheets. It was pretty obvious that it was the staff doing this and not necessarily the hotel. Clearly a shakedown. Do not stay there There was also mold all over the shower curtain. It was obvious that the cleaning staff did not care.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - We stayed there in 2016 and 2017. the place was great n we had nice room. This time. the reception clerk did not crack even one smile. No storage room for laguge. Because we booked with Expedia, they assigned to us the worst room on the 4th floor. Bathroom does not flush properly. Soap and shampoo no place where to put. it has to be set on the floor. the room is for 2 people but only one chair . the other person can only sit on the bed. coffee pot n cups are set on top of dinky small fridge and not professional on table. We will never stay at S M Grande ever again. We checked out after one day. Put reception clerk that can smile and interact in professional manner n not like a ghost.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Receptionist on arrival was not exactly friendly and being asked to sign an inventory of items in the room without being there to check is not really appropriate - indignant assurances that all things are there does not cut it especially when a towel was missing. In fairness that was dealt with OK so no big problem but management really need to consider how they treat their customers on arrival as this sort of thing can easily put people off staying, Otherwise the hotel is well situated and quiet given the area so reasonable overall.

• daniel (6/5): skip as there are better - The hotel is old and dated. The rooms are extremely large. i had two very old tube tv's. one stopped working on my last night there. the shower handle fell off on shower but kept working. It is next to the nana red light district which is nice.

• Marcin (8/5): My 6 night stay in Bangkok - Everything good, big room and clean. Had a problem with shower so asked to get it sorted. They tried but it still went extremely hot then extremely cold. Only way I could resolve the issue was to run the water in the sink (warm), then running the shower and the heating unit stayed on and gave a constant flow of warm water. Apart from that little niggle, nice and central. At the end of Soj 4, you had BTS(Nana).

• Michael (10/5): Wotif, get your act together - Overall, can't fault the hotel, perfect venue. However Wotif when you book something you expect to turn up and have your booking verified. Alas when i arrived they had no record of my name and when i handed them the booking paper they did a search and still found nothing. Thankfully they had a spare room and i was able to stay there. Very disappointed with Wotif, won't be looking at them in the future if this is to continue. Venue 10 Wotif 0.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Good internet and a great gym are the highlights - This hotel located in the heart of Nana has two things going for it. It has a great gym, that is rarely used by anyone and solid internet, a requirement in my book. The staff is nice as well. Negatives? Sure, they tried to stick me in a poorly lit room at first, and the hot water as well as the AC didn't work. They moved me to another room the same night, which was lower in standard than I paid for, and moved to another room the day after. All of this shuffling around was a big headache after flying 25 hours to get there. Overall, I'd say the value for the hotel is ok, you get what you pay for, so if the gym and internet are key, as well as location, you can't go wrong here.

Although very big, only saw about 5 staff working there, none speaking english (not a biggy, but difficult for me as i needed help with a few things in the room). Clean, comfy large room and bed. Minor annoyances - non-flushing toilet, safe too small for laptop and incorrect instructions for setting code, and no shelf in shower cubicle to leave soap. Overall good value but have had better in Bangkok. Great location though - 5 mins from Nana, 10 mins from Asok/Sukhumvit stations. Lots of great streetfood etc, in the evening. Healthy wi-fi and tv.

Located in the heart of Bangkok, the premises is gated with 24 hour security. My deluxe room was spacious and clean. Friendly staff and excellent daily maid service. Close proximity to dining, shopping, and the train which will take you anywhere in Bangkok. Off street parking, fitness, swimming pool, free tuk tuk. This place is awesome!

• Kevin (10/5): Very spacious and clean room. - Having been to Bangkok many times and usually travel on a budget, I decided to "treat myself" and spend a lil more on hotel w/ more amenities. Although I only stayed one night, it was a great room with a nice view of the city from the balcony. It was also a huge room! Very impressed!! I would gladly come back to stay here and I would recommend. Great value. Notes: even though it's in the heart of nana bars / clubs - nightlife / party scene it is a relatively quiet location. However, even though I was on the 10th floor with balcony doors closed, I could still vaguely here a very loud Thai lady from the club across the street with the infamous "HELLO! WELCOME!!". Other than that it was totally quiet / peaceful / relaxing stay. Lots of "rules" signs posted everywhere too which is also kinda annoying.
• Eugene (8/5): Good location. Close to the nightlife. - Close enough to the nightlife of Nana Plaza but far enough away to be out of the noise. Room was nothing fancy but more than adequate and huge.
• kay (8/5): Clean and big - The staffs are nice. The hotel room is big and clean. Wifi is fast. The aircondition is not so cold I think its quiet old. Water is good, the hot shower is working. Hotel is near to bts. Sometimes taxi ask for high price but just go to the meter one. Other taxi never allow meter because the place is so traffic but others settle for meter, just always ask the driver to work his meter. The small pool is dirty but the big one is ok. Theres a lot of restaurant outside the hotel to choose from but I suggest you eat at Terminal 21 . It's near ask the tuktuk driver from the hotel and the driver drive you until nana station. From nana only one station then go down to asok and terminal 21 is already there. Lots of restaurant to choose from . you can go to food court if you want cheaper price. Its cheap like street food priced.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Security hotel and near the nightlife - It's my first time at this hotel and I can say it's good place to stay good security and near to nana plaza But the gym and swimming pool close with out any reason and you need help your self to take your bags also if you ask them for late checkout even one hour they will ask you to pay them half day

• Bret (6/5): Convenient Location - I have stayed in this hotel for the last three years and have seen the condition of the rooms decrease during that time. The shower in the room I was in this time was in need of some serious cleaning, with a fair bit of mould. While a lot was within the sealant and not easily removed, there was still a fair bit in the grout that should have been cleaned up. On the upside, the price was reasonable, location good, free wifi, and a good range of English channels on TV.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Stones throw away from Nana plaza - This hotel Is right in one of the red light districts of Bangkok. Great location if you are into that sort of thing I guess. The hotel is a little older than some of the ones but there is a lot to do in the area when you are not doing the normal sight seeing. Hotel service was good, and the pool was in great shape.

I did specifically book this hotel because the pics showed a washing machine/dryer in each room, howevere in my room it had been removed. Despite this, I would stay here again

• Dre (2/5): Good location but dirty and rude reception staff - The only thing going for this hotel is the location and the gym, other than that the bathroom was filthy with mould on in the shower, the shower door was ripped off one side and had to be fixed, it was dirty and the water got blocked up at least 4 times in the 3 nights i stayed. The internet kept cutting and when i asked the receptionist to do something she just stared at me like i was an idiot. I have been to thailand MANY times so i am not some foreigner expecting the world from a budget hotel, but for the price you can get something MUCH MUCH better. Never again.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Great Location, not worth for the money. - The hotel feels bit old. Bed has wheels so it moves and its very uncomfortable. Aircon is bit noisy but can ignore. TV is an old CRT 24" TV with decent english channels. The bathroom toilet is in an awkward position with washbasin. The showers fixed and for small men. I'm 183cm tall and the shower barely reaches my forehead. Also there are lot of cracks inside the bathroom. As part of room service, there were couple of decent Towels. No tooth-paste or brush provided. But soap bar, shampoo and shower jell were provided. Wifi is below average speed but stable. Provided couple of water bottles everyday. No laundry in the hotel.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Affordable Good Hotel - Overall, i would say that during my stay at S.M. Grande Hotel was quite good. The room I stayed was clean and comfortable. The TV was kind of old but they have some good channels to watch movies and the shower door needs a bit of fixing but these weren't a big deal to me. The location is not bad at all since it's just a 5-10 mins walking distance to NANA BTS/MRT. Their staff were quite helpful, they even provided me an adapter to charge my phone when i needed it as i bought a wrong one when i went to the central. Good Facilities such as Gym and Swimming Pool. I don't mind staying at this Hotel again on my next visit to BKK.

• kamal Kant (10/5): Very Nice - Had a very nice stay, Hotel is located right in the middle of the action (nana plaza) and yet far enough to find peaceful stay. Stayed in deluxe room as its much more spacious and has a mini kitchen attached to it. Hotel staff is very friendly and on request they happily call meter taxi for guests. Nana MRT station is 5 min walking from hotel, hotel also provides free tuk-tuk drop-of service to Nana MRT. The only downside I observed was irregular hot water supply in bathroom and no clock room in hotel. Try to find room on higher floor(10+) with balcony facing MRT as you will get wonderful view from there
• Verified traveler (6/5): Review - Good rooms with a good gym and a nice pool area. Some of the staff was'nt that helpfull but the Otherwise more than made up for it! Overall a nice hotell that is close to mist things!

• jackie (8/5): Ok - We only stayed the 1 night as we had a early flight the next morning and the hotel was only 5 minutes from airport by car they even picked us up for free the rooms were very small pool ok just for a dip to cool of only 4 sunbeds our room was damp but for 1 night we put up with it the manager was really nice very chatty
• Gerald (10/5): The winner!!! - Great find!!! Very impressed with this place! The best in several I sampled in the area! Great value for price paid! Far enough away from the controlled madness that is Soi 4 but not too far if you want to go experience it! Very nice room set up like a Mini apartment with a balcony, great views microwave little kitchenette... Very spacious, clean and comfortable!!!! This spot is too value!!! I shall return!
• prakash (6/5): A generously provided space - The accommodation was extremely spacious. I particularly liked the balcony where I could see the hustle & bustle of the city as well as appreciate the skyline. The accommodation however could've been improved with tea/coffee facilities and iron/ironing board.
