Guest Reviews
- Mia (10/5): - Every thing
- Miaya (10/5): Peaceful and safe - It was nice N/A
- Hoke (8/5): -
- Pam (8/5): Pleasant - Location great wasn't offered wifi password but it was an ol place to stay A coffee or drink machine available
- Valerie (3/5): -
- Terry (8/5): - The room smelled real bad and they had a mildew bag hanging in the room
- Angie (10/5): - The staff was super nice and helpful. The room was very clean. The a/c worked good.
- Robert (1/5): Disgusting - stay away - The sadest thing about this place was that the manager said he would refund our stay since he couldn’t provide us with a clean room to stay in. I know realize that he had no intention of refunding the room. It never feels good to be mislead by someone after having had a civil conversation about a room that they agreed was not up to a clean and habitable standard. Room was dirty and had a foul smell, sheets were not laundered. Side of the sofa and floor beneath were were - like a small dog had just relieved himself there. It doesn’t surprise me that Tom has difficulty getting his words out - the dishonesty probably makes it even more difficult.
- Eddie (5/5): An inexpensive room, but they cut some corners on cleanliness. - Location to Dauset Forest and High Falls State Park. No real amenities nearby for meals. Floors were sticky.
- Tracey S (10/5): - Great economy hotel
- Tunisha (10/5): - Beautiful waterfall nearby, close places to eat, nice place to stay.
- Brian (1/5): They were banging on the walls and stomping around upstairs at 3 and 4 o’clock in the morning and was like that all day - Clean Bed it was horrible
- Barbara (10/5): - Quiet
- Melissa (10/5): -
- Kim (8/5): - It was very clean and the staff were very polite and helpful and we will stay there again when we are in the area.
- Lemieux (10/5): -
- Neko (10/5): Outstanding - Our stay was OUTSTANDING for a last minute stay. We will book here again.
- Terry (6/5): - Some rooms are better than others the linen is stained the coffee pot was not cleaned it had coffee grinds all in it and the place smells like pot around the other rooms
- Tiffany (10/5): - I wish the beds were a little more comfortable but other than that everything else was amazing.
- Elijah (8/5): - Good for the price, not much around but very nice and quiet with great staff
- Andrew (6/5): - Difficulty and not able to log on to WiFI. The TV was complicated to operate. Good size refrigerator but the main area was set too cold and froze my food. Bed was comfortable and shower was good. Location was good to access the park but there was limited to no dining nearby. Confused on the billing. Asked for a receipt and owner said I would get it thru expedia. Never received that. The receipt printed out showed a different amount than on my confirmation email. Not sure why his was much lower.
- Teresa (10/5): - It isn't a high end establishment. But for its price range the quality was high.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice, quiet motel - This was a pleasant surprise. The gentlemen at the front desk was pley and helpful suggesting possible places to eat.
While there are long term residents at this facility, the facility is very clean.
Our room was very clean, and newly renovated. The bed was comfortable and the showers large, hot and good water pressure.
I would recommend this place for a quick overnight stop.
- Cathy (6/5): - Our door did not seal...you could see a good strip of daylight around it. Room was very plain. Everything needed some updating. Neighboring area was very rural and poorly kept. It looked like people lived in these units.
- Crystal (10/5): - Antiquated in the best way! Nostalgic...
- Courtney (10/5): - Really nice hotel will be coming back
- Sharod (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamison (10/5): - Very prompt and customer service was great! Place has a little age, but very well maintained! Room was clean and the shower did not stop up as most places do!
- Joseph (8/5): - It was a community type atmosphere like if you just arrive home and your neighbors where out and greeted you when you arrived
- Sherry (8/5): - Nice location for a walk in the park. Friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not my favorite - Well the photos really aren’t accurate. While the staff was very nice and the rooms were cleanish, when we arrived it was very clear this is a long term hotel. Walls are extremely thin, amenities are in the slim side, thin towels, etc and on our king bed we had 1 king pillow and 1 regular. King bed m, by the way, was too short so not oriented corrected, It needs to be rotated so it’s longer than wider.
- Thomas (8/5): Nice, but m issing some things. - The room was spacious and clean. There were no amenties, such as body wash or shampoo. There were no lamps on the night stands. The A/C was stuck on 60 degrees. The manager did come in the second day and stated that the wires were crossed and another room was controlling my A/C.
- Olivier (10/5): - Super nice people really made my stay a great experience, rooms were clean and beds are very comfortable. Would recommend if in the area
- Tommy (8/5): Getaway - It could have been a little cleaner
- Iquo (8/5): - Old place, but relatively okay. The staff were very nice.
I arrived a lil earlier than check and they cleaned the place and checked me in in good time.
Seems they have a few long-stay guests… I could smell cigarette smoke near my room. But other than that, my stay was okay.
- Wayne (3/5): I left at 5 a.m. just to get out of there yuk! - The location is great. However the place is filled with scuzzy, indigent long term renters. I did not feel safe there and I did not feel my vehicle was safe there. poverty stricken long term renters all smokers just hanging around the grounds and my door and car
- Kenneth (9/5): Superb - The room is a little dated but very clean. The bed was far and away the most comfortable motel bed I've ever slept on
- Albert (6/5): - The High Falls Inn & Suites is better that what you might expect for $44-58/night. This small suite was billed as non-smoking but clearly one of the prior guests did not honor this prohibition. For some reason this unit (#205) came with two mini fridges, a microwave, and a coffee maker. The room has the appearance of DIY renovation, with ceiling sprinkler’s appearing through unfinished holes. The bathroom sink had the hot and cold water reversed. There was no wand to open and close the blinds. All of these are just curiosities, of no real significance. All and all the suite was tastefully decorated and clean. Not nuts about the area in which it is located. The parking lot is replete with signs that management was not responsible for any theft or vandalism to cars Ours remained undisturbed during our two night stay
- Melody (8/5): - Overall, my husband and I had a great stay. It was super convenient, just what we needed, and not too pricey. There was, however, a cat fight in the middle of the night right outside our door. A bit of trash outside needed to be taken out, but it didn’t bother us at all. Room was clean and was a perfect place to stay for the night.
- Samuel (10/5): - Nice place clean Hotel
- Anthony (10/5): - I like it very well easy to ger to clean room. Check in smooth
- Helen (4/5): - Very noisy with no insulation
- Carol S (8/5): - Staff was professional
- Robert (6/5): - Janitorial staff blasting music outside of door when cleaning at 7am. Persons smoking pot right outside room doors. Rooms really worn down and not very clean. Stains and holes in sheets and bedding. Not worth the price.
- Tiffani (4/5): - Toilet was dirty with urine stains
- Matt (4/5): - I hate to leave a bad star rating because the lady at the counter was extremely friendly and the room was nice and had updates. But this is one of those hotels where people live full time. The walls and floor are paper thin and i heard everyones domestic issues until about 1am when i was finally able to fall asleep with the assistance of a noise filter on my phone.
- Wendy (8/5): - Decent, last minute place leaving Florida due to hurricane Milton
- Eddie (6/5): A decent value in an unexpected place. - Clean room. Location to local parks and nature preserve. Tub drained slowly, toilet wobbled a little.
- Lauren (4/5): - I didn't like the fact that everyone was hanging out in the parking lot and people were leaving doors wide open. The inside of the rooms were dirty
- Sharon (1/5): Awful not as pictured, filthy, moldy, broken blinds no hair dryer small fridge and microwave booked a king suite was move - Staff was nice right next to highfalls park and a family dollar and dollar tree are across the street Location
- Kelly (6/5): - This was just a quick overnight stay, last minute. It was clean, just a little run down. You have to go get your towels, they didn’t have any in there already. Blinds were broke even though there were trees behind the window it still was unnerving thinking you could be watched.
- jeff (6/5): - Everyone was nice and it was a convenient location. The exterior and pictures where not accurate to online.
- SANTIAGO VALDES (6/5): - Good
- Ronald (4/5): - When we checked in there was no toilet tissue in the room at all, towels were very dingy, only enough coffee for one cup and there were two of us and no cream or sugar for the one cup of coffee. Tv remote did not work. Overall, just not a comfortable room at all…….do not recommend.
- Richardson (1/5): Bad - Nothing didn't even stay need a refund and no one will respond to me Lindsayn223@gmail.com wanted non smoking room and was super dirty and stunk so bad didn't stay need refund
- Loren (1/5): Bad -
- Harold (9/5): Superb -
- Roy (3/5): Poor -
- Watson (8/5): Very good - The air conditioning wasn't as cool as I prefer
- Tina (1/5): Do not stay here although near falls it is disgusting and not safe - Location The rooms were filthy. There seemed to be an abundance of unsavory individuals hanging about. We were afraid to leave our room. Loud music and partying
- Yolanda (6/5): adequate - Felt safe so that was good. Room was not clean as evidenced by a big sock in middle of room. Also need to simplify the remote. It was also nice to have a place to eat that is walkable just need to maybe have a # to call in instead of waiting 45 minutes as a walk in.
- Dana (8/5): This is a very basic, no-frills place, which is fine with me. I was there to enjoy the beautiful hiking trails at High F - The employees were all very friendly. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet. The inn is very close to two beautiful state parks. It was a little rough both outside and inside. There was a broken refrigerator in my room (but also a nice, functional one), the ice machine was broken.
- Carl (4/5): We were traveling through so the location was great, we got up at 2am to leave and there was two guys looking in the veh - Location, pet friendly Not very clean, expensive for the condition of the property, not very accommodating.
- Jessica (2/5): - This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever seen! The beds were so nasty. Hair on the pillows and yellow stains all over the sheets. Would not keep my dog here! Arrived walked in and stayed long enough to get another hotel in order!
- Dat (2/5): - the property is advertised as non-smoking, but smokers' receptacles right in front of the room doors with extended-stay guests puffing away. the photos show the kitchenette, my room has none. my 'non-smoking' room 210 has a very strong cigarette smell. when i complained to the front desk (the owner), he offered to have it cleaned again, however he told Expedia reprentative that he also offered me a refund. dude's lying through his teeth. the 'white' towels are brown and feel greasy, YUK. i felt all the 'white' towels, they are all very un-sanatized. i checked out after an hour, since i can't stand the cigarette smell. i didn't ask for a refund which i thought Expedia can handle it because they mis-represent the property information, well ... no luck there. if you are a weedhead and a 'cancer club' member, this property is right for you.
- Karen (10/5): we had a great time in th esun and fishing was good - Everthing was nice. The staff was great. nothing
- Jackie (2/5): - They gave me the wrong room type for 1 room and it was a smoking room, smelled like a giant ashtray. The other room was very dirty, including the bed sheets. I went to the office to address the issues and they said that’s all they had available. I asked for a refund and they told me I had to get it through Expedia. When Expedia contacted the property, they refused the refund. However, Expedia did refund me anyway. They never apologized or asked how they could help. It was 10:30pm and I had 4 kids with me on a cross country road trip. The owner then lied on Google reviews about me. I’ve never had such a terrible experience with a hotel before.
- Fabian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jose (10/5): - Everything fine
- Doug (10/5): - Staff is friendly and helpful always enjoy my stay
- Talina (10/5): Great spot - The front desk lady was very sweet when I called and made sure it was okay I was coming late. The front desk guy when I got there was friendly and check in was easy. We booked this motel for traveling purposes but we were not expecting a beautiful view of the Autum leaves and woods. We loved the state park that was 2 miles down the road.
- Moulton (5/5): Was a good place to stay - Quiet, easy check-in,staff was nice Roaches, tv was too far away and outdated.
- Curtis (8/5): - The room was clean overall nice there was no room service that cleaned and I did not put out no do not disturb .got a lot of people hanging out out side drinking I think they live there a lot of Mary Jane smoking not a place for kids it's good for price maybe one are two nights max.
- Robert (10/5): No-nonsense, comfortable, and roomy - well priced! - This no-nonsense reasonably priced room was very roomy and the bed was great! We didn't stay long as it was a stop along our way, but everyone is very kind and like home and family!
- Alena (10/5): - The staff was amazing!!
- Steven (6/5): - Beautiful location, friendly staff. Cleanliness a weakness
- Casey (8/5): - I received great service and the High Falls Inn was worth every penny last minute! The staff were courteous and the room was clean!
- Doug (10/5): - Polite staff and clean room
- Daniel (10/5): - Friendly staff and spacious rooms
- Douglas (4/5): - Non smoking room smelled of smoke. Not very pleasant.
- Juan (8/5): - Front desk person was very nice and welcoming, check in was fast
What I did not like is a table outside our room with people smoking also the toilet was not attached to the base of the floor , few flies in the bathroom and human hair in the bathroom too
- evan (10/5): - Good customer service!!
- Gail (6/5): - Like High Falls...too many people smoking grass..got kinda loud
- will (10/5): - Next to a cool state park. Quiet, several conveniance stores/ markets close by. Boiled peanuts, fruit stand, thrift store on sight.
- Doug (10/5): - Friendly and professional staff clean room and quiet surroundings
- Audrey (8/5): - The only thing I did not like was the room smelled of smoke
- Ann (10/5): - This was a very clean motel room. The price was excellent. Low key decor but if you just need a place to stay for the night it was great.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Don’t ask for towels - The room was large and comfortable. I did not have the room cleaned the first night and when I went down to ask for extra towels they did not make it easy. My niece stayed at the hotel as well and they had 3 people in their room. The hotel would only give them 2 towels even though it was a room they could sleep 4. I have never stayed some where that I had to beg for clean towels.
- Jenna (6/5): - The location was great, the property was nice, and the exterior was beautiful. Like most all of the other hotels in the area, the cleanliness and condition of the rooms left much to be desired. The blanket was tattered with ink stains on it and should have been thrown out forever ago. The towels were the smallest towels I’d seen in a hotel. There was a bug in the shower and on the ceiling. The lamp shad was dirty, and the walls could use a cleaning and coat of paint. I asked for a single room with one bed, I got a double room where they removed a second bed and left the headboard attached to the wall.
The room served its purpose for the 2 nights I needed it, but needs some work.
- Disappointed (2/5): - This place it’s the worse place to stay it’s not clean we ask for a nonsmoking room and the room smell so bad everything was bad the bed sheets and pillow also smell so bad that we couldn’t sleep , we stay because we had no choice we had an event so early and that was the closes place to be at , but next I rather drive more miles , but we are not staying there 😠😠😠😠
- Melissa (2/5): Room was dirty and outdated - We requested a non smoking room. The room smelled of smoke and there were burn holes in the bedspread and on refrigerator door. The room was dirty, old dirty carpet, torn lampshades, stains on walls and doors. The only good things were the location being quiet and the air conditioner cooled the room well.
- Christian (4/5): Probably look elsewhere. - Our room was very worn down and not very clean.
- Anonymous (4/5): - The staff was great during check in. The room, not so much. The bathtub was filthy. I showered in water shoes. The rest of the bathroom was not as bad as the tub itself, but still not very clean. The rest of the room was ok, but I am pretty sure we were sleeping on box springs and not actual mattresses, and the pillows were flat. As we were leaving, we found that someone disposed of bait fish in the parking lot. The smell was atrocious.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was nice. I was pleased to find they have a few rooms dedicated to smokers.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfy and Relaxing - Very comfortable place, nice layout and condition of room.
Towels were stained though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The bare basics, clean and comfortable bed. Would stay there again
- Tracy (10/5): Very pleasant stay!! - Very quiet hotel, nice n clean inside n out. Room was huge. No problems. Will book again for sure!
- Vicky (10/5): - Very convenient to the event at the wedding venue at Farley Estates.
- Jane (10/5): - Friendly staff. Clean. Had trouble with mapquest.
