Guest Reviews
- kevin (10/5): - The room and hotel had a great vibe. Too short a stay. Will come back.
- Ryan (10/5): -
- Theresa (9/5): Quiet retreat for solo traveler - Quite and peaceful hot tub at night relaxing
- Ionimp (9/5): A great location, reasonable value for money, very large rooms - Love the outdoor jacuzzi access (including the 'sign-up sheet' which provides everyone with peace of mind of being able to access the jacuzzi. The free coffee bar is a nice touch, including the mini-countertop fridge for the milk. The real fire in the main room was a nice feature in evenings too. Location is excellent; close enough to surrounding ski resorts and town Nothing; its a great lodging and at a great location

- StephanieGuil (10/5): Amazing stay! - Clean and comfortable room with nice view on the river. The hot tub after a long snowboarding day was amazing and the coffee/tea station was much appreciated in the morning! 5 min to Manchester downtown and 20 min from Statton! Highly recommended!
- James (9/5): -
- Briana (3/5): Lacks Value for Money - Loved the hot tub and common area. The rooms were also nicely decorated. Simple. This hotel had a lot of potential but the execution wasn’t great
The fact that the fire is only for 2 hours every other day- such an easy fix to do it more often and longer
The building air felt incredibly dry and i woke ip with my throat hurting every day
Only 2 towels were provided per room
It felt very expensive ($520) for the value of the room.
Hot tub was only usable for 30 min slots. Which was fair but also dissapointig when it’s one of the amenities you book for.
- David (6/5): - Nice size room Old bathroom and no hot water
- michele (10/5): - Nice remodeled motel. Room was spacious clean and comfortable.
- Susan (8/5): -
- Yahya (9/5): -
- Robert (9/5): Great for location and price - Beautiful view in the back and good value ; liked the mid modern vibe
- Stephen (9/5): Met exceptions for a motel with clean rooms to sleep in during a visit to this part of Vermont. - Clean, Mike, the owner always available and knowledgeable about the area and facilities. All temperature controls worked. Coffee always available and well stocked. No complaints.
- Christine (8/5): - Everything was awesome! The only thing that was challenging was the noise coming from Air conditioner in our room. It was extremely loud but it was also too hot in the room to not have it on. We tried using just windows but with the rain the first night or two, it was just too hot. So, we would stay there again, I would however, request a room with a much quieter air conditioner. Other wise, we loved everything about our stay.
- George (9/5): Amazing fireplace - Amazing fireplace ! Big rooms No elevator
- Shayne (10/5): - Staff was very helpful and friendly. Pool was closed and no Ubers taxis available in the area.
- Yong (8/5): -
- Kathryn MM (8/5): Convenient, clean, friendly and comfortable place, very close to Bromley - Enormous high-ceilinged room with a pretty view of the back lawn and brook beyond. Not luxurious, but a very comfortable and clean, traditional-style ski lodge. A mini-fridge, a few free snacks and bottled water. Always appreciate having a sink both inside and outside the bathroom. We were in town for the Manchester Shires Inns holiday touring and we are - frankly - on the older side of the spectrum, so I chose this primarily for its proximity to Mistral's, the lovely French restaurant where we had dinner (highly recommend, btw). This would be a great choice for families and younger people who are headed for Bromley Mountain. There is a charming common room with a central, wood-burning fireplace that looks fun for hanging out with friends, and it has a 24-hr coffee station. Check-in was casual and friendly, checkout was a simple key drop. Easy-peasy. With the caveat again that - we are older - just be aware that there is no elevator to the second floor and the stairs are varnished wood and kind of steep. There's also no breakfast, but we knew that ahead of time, so I don't mention that as anything disappointing, just for awareness.
- Emily (10/5): -
- Jeffery (8/5): -
- Beth (9/5): Very pleasant. - Pretty window view. Comfortable bed. Popcorn and chocolate bar in room was a nice touch! TV screen could be bigger. Herbal teabags would be nice.
- Hitt (8/5): Comfortable and clean with lots of room - Comfy bed NA
- Eva (10/5): I love this place. - My second time staying here, I love the vibe, I like the owners, I think the local apples in the family room were a nice touch, our room was huge and very comfortable with a view of the creek in the back yard.
- Raquel (8/5): -
- Donahue (8/5): - Loved the location, sitting by the river and the always available coffee. The beds were very hard, which some people like, but my back does not.
- Westley (8/5): Cute hotel and a great location - The room was very clean and spacious. I enjoyed the late 60's decor and the common room and coffee bar were really nice. The grounds were pretty overlooking a beautiful stream. One of the main reasons we selected the Toll Road Inn was the fireplace in the common room. That fireplace looked so good but they did not light it. Because of that, we ended up not spending very much time in the common room.
- Elaine (6/5): - Good location
- Eileen (9/5): Great value, I would definitely go back - Staff was very friendly and offered advice about local restaurants and attractions
- Anna (8/5): Nice and comfortable - Room was nice
Liked the back grassy area
Quiet No breakfast included
- GMJ (10/5): Absoluut 4 sterren waard! Helemaal niets.
- Charlotte (10/5): - We will DEFINITELY be back! My favorite features are the back yard seating area with Adirondack chairs, the 24-HOUR coffee nook, and common lounge with fireplace. Friendly staff, quiet location, reasonable price. We couldn't ask for more.
- Vito (10/5): - Loved this hotel! The gentleman at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. The hotel was very clean. Will definitely stay again whenever we’re in Manchester.
- Maria (10/5): Great experience- stay here!! - Lovely setting Everything!
- Line (9/5): -
- Shauna (10/5): - Everything was good. Being September the pool was closed. Hot tub was nice! Convenient location could walk across the street to a diner for breakfast. Thoughtful decor and nice little things like chocolate and popcorn in the room. I would stay there again.
- Kaitlin (7/5): -
- Lori (10/5): - The room was very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. Coffee 24 hours a day, pool and hot tub. Highly recommend staying there.
- Lee (10/5): Perfect for Sisters' Retreat - My sister and I met 'in the middle' for a short retreat in the Manchester area. We had never stayed at the Toll Road Inn before and we were certainly not disappointed. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. The lounge turned out to be a great place for us to sit to visit while we doodled in our art journals. The inn is located in a perfectly central location from Manchester to the Bromley Mtn area. We were so pleased by our stay, we're already planning to go back next year at this time.
- Jeannette (7/5): - 24 hours coffee. Nice pool. Great location
- Christina (10/5): Quiet romantic getaway - We booked on a whim and were not disappointed. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It even had snacks and water. Lots of restaurants in the area. We walked to breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
- Elisabeth (9/5): Pleasantly surprised by this affordable, well cared for, super clean and happy hotel!! Very pleasant staff, too! - Convenient, yet quiet area. Gorgeous grounds in the back, with lawn, flower gardens, and Adirondack chairs for a view above the River. Nice clean private hot tub with reservation sheet for sign-up. The building is very clean and tidy, with attractive decor. Our room was extremely clean and tidy, with comfortable beds, lots of good lighting, refrigerator, and comfy chairs. Nice big window with view of beautiful landscaped area in the back. The bathroom was updated with new wall and floor tiles, absolutely sparkling clean! Nice touches of potted plants, and decor. A super cute, large cozy gathering room with a wood stove in the center. Great for apres ski socializing. Keurig machine so coffee always available. The building outside looks dated at first, but it’s so clean and cared for inside it wasn’t a big deal. The wall TV in the room could be bigger, but sufficient.
- Lance (9/5): Had a fun comfortable time. - Clean facility, large rooms and good location.
- Diana (10/5): - Nice, clean small hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would stay there again.
- Aimee (10/5): - These rooms are spacious and charming. We love this place.
- Wilson (9/5): Clean and comfortable stay - The room was clean and comfortable. It's not a modern hotel, it's very retro (including the mini fridge in the room), but very nice and quiet. Nothing - it met or exceeded all my expectations
- Benjamin (10/5): - Lovely spot. Clean and has everything you need.
- Emily (10/5): - The hotel was very unique and the owner did a great job with decor. The pool was clean and the hot tub was a nice finish to our day!
- Alice J (4/5): - Hotel was very outdated; the antique chairs in our room were filthy. The internet was not great. No food to speak of, except a stale chocolate bar. Hope to not stay here again. Actual key for the room.
- Mercy (10/5): - We LOVED our stay at Toll Road! It was so CHILL and laid back. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We loved sitting out by the brook and watching for birds. The pool was so clean! The owners are kind, easy to talk with and helpful with recommendations about the area. The bed and room were comfortable and spacious - just right for us! We will 100% be back next year!
- danny (10/5): -
- Travis (10/5): -
- sara (10/5): - Great service. The sign up sheet for personal hot tub time. Chill vibes and atmosphere. Coffee bar with microwave. Clean. Beautiful spaces. Fabulous pool. All was great!
- Joanne (9/5): Superb - Our room looked out on a beautiful garden leading down to a brook. The room was large and clean. Good location just outside of town. nothing
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Joseph (8/5): Very good - It was close enough to the center of town, but far enough away to be able to return to quiet. The pool was great. And there's a number of restaurants nearby
- Nicole (10/5): Stylish retro motel for a great value. Serene location and good for anyone solo or with a family. - Stylish & comfy. Really awesome lounge with an Atari, piano and fireplace. The room was comfortable and even though it is obviously 60 years old, everything was in good shape. Well loved. Can’t wait to come back. The pool was a blast and the surrounding grounds were gorgeous. Access to the creek behind the motel. Very relaxing. Beautiful flowers everywhere. The pool was adjacent to the highway so there was some noise. But it didn’t take long to forget about that sound and I’m sure the pool was installed before the highway was that busy.
- Philippe (8/5): Very good -
- Maeve (10/5): A beautiful oasis! - I loved staying at this thoughtfully designed and maintained hotel. The pool was perfect on a hot July afternoon (it’s away from the road and surrounded by trees, so it feels very private). I appreciated the little details like a comfortable lodge with coffee bar and some treats waiting for me in my room when I checked in. The gentleman in the office was very helpful with restaurant recommendations too. I ate at the Copper Grouse which was excellent. I will definitely come back here next time I’m in Manchester!
- LEONCIO (10/5): - Clean, easy check in and check out!
- Hilary (9/5): We always come back to stay here when we visit. It's just right for us. - I love the peacefulness of the backyard area, the river and the mountains. the rambunctious kids on the floor above us
- Ashley (8/5): Very good - Very unique. The living room area is very cute
- Larry (10/5): - comfortable clean room, owner is very accommodating and pleasant. i would stay there again, when i go back up.
- Roberta (10/5): Surprising diamond in the rough! - This was such a hidden gem! From the front of the building, it’s not so great because the style is dated. But inside, the rooms are really big and we loved the mid-century modern vibe. And it’s all real furniture. Not cheap stuff made to last a few years. Each room faces the back of the property which is a lovely manicured yard with mowed paths to the running brook. Absolutely lovely! Wonderful yard and a good sized pool. And hot tub. All very clean and new.
- Derek (10/5): - Great property! The rooms were great and the stay was very enjoyable for the weekend!
- Caroline (10/5): Just perfect - The room, the facilities, the setting, the staff - everything was just wonderful. I would definitely stay here again 😊
- Megan (10/5): Looking forward to going back - consistent, clean, friendly and easy! - I stayed here once last year and the owner was lovely upon check-in both times. It's a funky old motel however, everything is extremely clean, the rooms are massive, they include some nice welcome amenities as well as beautiful grounds and the location is fantastic. Honestly, everything was consistent with my first stay and I will recommend this motel for a modest priced option in an otherwise expensive town.
- Robert (10/5): - Room was very spacious. Comfortable beds.
- Rita (10/5): Great stay - Everything is nicely done and the staff was very friendly.
- Arvene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (9/5): Great overnight stay - The room was large with plenty of room for luggage . The bed was very comfortable. Lovely view of the river and garden at the back although not able to access due to rainy weather. Short drive to restaurants. Nothing
- LINDA (10/5): - Loved the babbling brook that was in the back of the Inn. Grounds were kept very nice with lots of perennial plantings. I imagine it must look pretty in the summertime.
- Richard (10/5): - Great service!
- Noel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marco (10/5): - Clean & aesthetic property
- alwaysmoving (10/5): We loved our stay! - We had a great two days at the Toll Road Inn. The room was large and incredibly clean, with comfortable beds and linens. Having two sinks was a real plus. The hit was the hot tub- show up at your appointed time and it’s ready to go, with fluffy towels out for you. It was magical. The great room has vintage games - I got creamed at Pong! There is also a really cool coffee bar that has everything you need. This place does justice to both the ‘60’s and what you expect in 2025. Overall, a delightful visit and a new favorite.
- halvdan (8/5): - Friendly staff, helpful and accommodating. Bed was comfortable with crisp sheets. Retro vibe was fun.
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful site - clean, inviting and great location. Awesome view from bedroom!! The fireplace wasn’t lit - this was why I had chosen the site. However, I was the only person staying on site for the nite so while i understand, I was very disappointed.
- Fabio (8/5): Very good -
- Rob (8/5): - Check in was great. The process was smooth. I had been driving all afternoon on a Sunday and just wanted to feed my nine year old and get rest. Front desk gave me an awesome recommendation for food and we got a great nights rest. Spent the next day on the mountain.
- Paige (10/5): Sweet chic comfortable inn - This place is just delightful. Everything was great.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- T9010TQcatherinem (10/5): Stratton ski weekend - We came to Toll Road Inn for a family ski weekend at Stratton. What a great little reasonable place! We loved our room which was spacious and had plenty of room for the 4 of us. Loved the layout since there was a sink separate from the lav. The lounge area was spacious and super fun flashback to the 60’s. We signed up for our turn in the hot tub. Since it’s small we had it all to ourselves for our booked time. It was lovely after a day of skiing. Wish we could have soaked for longer. Location was great to restaurants and skiing. Very happy all around!!
- Tracy (10/5): - My arrival was delayed and the folks at Toll Road Inn called me and got me all set up for an after hour arrival. Great service! Much appreciated!
- Andrea (10/5): - It was very quiet and the common room for gathering was a huge bonus. There’s a large fireplace, game tables, and decorated simply relaxing. Would stay again! Very well maintained and service was professional and friendly.
- Michael (6/5): Pleasant -
- Giorgi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sergiy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dellaratta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Skyler (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Great value and a very pleasant stay close to slopes! N/A
- Marcus (10/5): - Fantastic! We plan to return in the next two months! My fiance and I stayed here for snow and ski at Stratton. We LOVED the 1960’s-1970’s style of the rooms but everything was so clean well kept we felt right at home and comfortable (unlike staying at larger chain hotels where you feel you need to check for bed bugs no matter what -not here!) Owner/Manager was extremely warm and friendly and you can tell he cares about his little hotel. Kept the fireplace going, coffee station stocked, and had fresh towels ready and waiting for every time you wanted to use the hot tub! He even permitted us an allotted time to use said tub when all the time slots for the night were filled for the night.
Beautiful views of a brook behind the building from our room. We can’t wait to come stay again when we return skiing!
- Leonard (10/5): It met our expectations. - Location Bigger TV
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Igor (10/5): - I recently stayed near Mount Stratton and had a perfect experience. The hotel was cozy, quiet, and impeccably clean. It’s in a great location with friendly staff. The lobby was a standout with its huge windows and a massive fireplace right in the middle, creating a warm atmosphere. Plus, there are fantastic restaurants nearby for lunch or dinner, and it’s not far from the mountain. Overall, I highly recommend it for a great balance of price and quality.
- Melissa (10/5): Our stay was fantastic. Rooms were cozy and the staff was great! Enjoyed the coffe bar and the common area. - Close to town Everything was wonderful
- Daphne (10/5): Calm and interesting ‘Inn’ on the edge of town from which to explore the area - The hotel was a little jewel on the edge of Manchester with views out the back windows on open space. The rooms were large, tastefully done and comfortable. The shared space was fun but we didn’t use it. No complaints!!
- michael (10/5): - The room decor was retro and done beautifully, lots of room and a beautiful view of the creek from the window. The Recreation room was comfy and a was a good place to sit by the fire with a drink and relax.
- Anne (8/5): Good value for the are - There was no breakfast
The beds were comfortable and the room very clean. Also the motel was very quiet and peaceful The bathroom needs to be updated. The shower had low flow and the water accumulated in tve bottom of the tub. Few surfaces to put things on
