- randycL7661ZI (8/5): Hyatt Place A Good Place To Stay, Location, Safety, Food and Gym - All Good - First trip to Santiago. I thought the location was good. The location I felt was very safe and you could get easy access to places via taxi or uber. As far as being in the tourist section we were not, but I don't know how safe the tourist section is. I chose this hotel based on reviews, safety, location, value. I think we did receive all three. There were resturants nearby, but the hotel resturant was excellent for dinner and good for breakfast. The staff was good and we had 4 rooms all on the same floor. There is a small shopping center just behind the hotel and it had options for fast food or good resturants nearby. We liked the hotel and did spend a little bit more time in our rooms here than other places, because the rooms were clean and comfortable. The Gym was good, better than most of the hotels with this type of star ratings. I rated this as a 3.5 - 4 Star. I was very pleased with the equipment in the gym and the cleanliness. This was a good place to stay.

The location is excellent and very convenient for getting around. Housekeeping is done daily, and everything was always clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the front desk team. The parking area is located a bit far away, and the requirement to notify the guard each time you enter can be a bit inconvenient, especially if you come and go frequently.

Buena ubicación, buen desayuno pero no me gustó que llegando 11 pm terraza toda oscura deberían aprovecharla más mejor ambiente y atender una barra ahí y si es muy tarde aunque sea algunos focos prendidos nos dió mala onda verlo asi Sentí los ambientes bastante fríos no acogedores. Mejorar iluminación terraza y servicios en terraza no están aprovechando ese espacio que tienen una vista tan bonita.

I expected to pay with my USDollar Debit Card but that was not possible. Had to pay with a Credit Card (Brazil) which cost me axtra 3,5% Brazilian Financial tax, unexpected. Hyatt should make very clear about IVA rules in their website.

Ascensores distintos para todo. Para ir del estacionamiento hay que salir del hotel y tomar un ascensor que se encuentra afuera. En la noche ruido de las cañerías del baño.
