• JAI (1/5): Basic accommodation and terrible food - NOTHING everything was bad Extremely basic budget accommodation. Terrible communal spaces and lounge and food is atrocious. Everyone there was complaining especially about the food. I feel sorry for Italian and far east guests who were sold on the lovely brochure photos only to travel so far and arrive at this 'hotel'. Mauritius is beautiful and there are stunning hotels but this one is not one of them.

Le personnel a été prévenant et attentionné. Nous avons dîné à l’hôtel chaque soir; les repas étaient délicieux (repas vege indiens) et copieux. C’est sûr, nous reviendrons !

État des chambres : en particulier la salle de bain, dont l’équipement est usé et vétuste. Il en va de même pour les espaces communs, notamment les toilettes de l’hôtel.

• Verified traveler (6/5): No Bottled Water supplied in the room 😔 - Hotel is right across from the main beach but needs some TLC. Breakfast was ok with choice of eggs & sausage & bacon. Staff at Breakfast, reception & our maid friendly and helpful rest of the staff couldn’t raise a smile or hello. It’s the first hotel we have stayed in that didn’t supply any bottled water at all and charged ridiculous prices at the bar, you can buy 2 bottles for the same price in the store just outside or 4 bottles at the main supermarket !!! Beach & some of the bars next to the hotel are very noisy on the weekends so bring ear plugs if you like an early night.

• Gino (5/5): Owner!! Please take care of your property - My wife and I are both hoteliers, so we naturally pay attention to details when we stay at a property. We chose Manisa Hotel for a two-night stay to celebrate our third wedding anniversary and unwind after a stressful period. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. From the start, we encountered several issues: a dead cockroach in the bathroom, a non-functional phone, and a sink tap that came loose in my hand. Our so-called balcony was just a concrete space with two old plastic chairs and a sunbed without a mattress—not exactly a comfortable spot to relax. Service was inconsistent. There was no bartender at the pool when we wanted to order drinks, and despite a confirmed request for a complimentary cake for our anniversary dinner, it was not delivered on the first night as planned. However, the cake was eventually brought to us during our second dinner, which we appreciated. That being said, I must highlight Miss Manuela at the reception desk. From what I observed, she is the one truly holding the hotel service together. I am not sure of her exact position, but in my opinion, she deserves a role such as Operations Manager. Her professionalism and dedication stood out, and she went above and beyond to assist us. The staff tried their very best to assist despite the hotel conditions not being in great shape. Overall, the property has potential, but it needs better maintenance and attention to detail. As hoteliers, we understand the challenges of the industry, but we also know that guest experience is key. With the right improvements, this place could offer a much better stay. • Gretchen (4/5): - We liked the location and the pool, although it had small dead insects floating, it is understandable because it is an outdoor pool and it's surrounded by trees. On the other hand, the room has an Unacceptable bed! Uncomfortable by all means! The matress and the pillows were extremely uncomfortable, in addition to the springs making noise. I truly don't know how to describe how awful it was. Also, the bed sheets had stains. We have stayed in many hotels, and we have never had such an horrible experience with a bed. To put a cherry on top, the room was full of ants (of course, on the bed too).

Despite of such advance booking, the room that was provided to us was at extreme end of the property and big bushes in front of the patio / balcony, we we unable to use the balcony at all.

• Alberto (8/5): Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo - Hotel in ottima posizione fronte mare a FLIC N FLAC, con un piccolo parcheggio privato dove abbiamo sempre trovato posto per la macchina. Personale molto gentile l, come in generale è la popolazione mauriziana. Fuori dall’hotel a pochi passi ci sono vari ristorantini pratici e buoni. Nonché una agenzia per i comodi tour dell’isola. L’ultimo giorno nel pomeriggio ci hanno anche fatto fare la doccia dopo il mare nei locali della piscina nonostante avessimo fatto il checkout la mattina. Se non si hanno grandi pretese da grandi hotel ve lo consiglio.
• Miodrag (9/5): Pleasant stay - Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent, just across the street from arguably the best beach in Mauritius. While the food choice was not over the top, the quality of food was excellent, including tuna, prawns, octopus, squids, and crab soup for dinner. The bed frame was squcky.
• Nicolette (5/5): Passable - Staff is very helpful and friendly. The unit I stayed in smelled like a smoker had stayed there before me - the smell of cigarette smoke in the room is very distinct. The toilet seat was broken. The bathroom light didn't work. I had no hot water in the bathroom. The light bulb in one of the bedside lamps didn't work. Breakfast is extremely disappointing! It's daylight robbery paying as much as I did for breakfast included. The property next to the hotel had renovations done, the power tools were used as early as 6am on a Saturday morning! Really?!?! We're on holiday!
• Rajvi (6/5): Average stay, convient as it is across the beach, walking distance to supermarket and taxi stand however few issues with - The waiters in the buffet restaurant were really kind and are the only reason why our stay was an enjoyable and pleasant one. They always greeted us with a smile upon walking into the restaurant and even if they saw us around the hotel! The dinning area was clean and very spacious. We also enjoyed dessert. Loved the short walk to the beach. STAFF - Poor customer service skills from the receptionists. We barely felt welcomed. - Talking to the reception staff about issues (I.e. ants in our room) felt like we were a burden to them. ROOM - We booked 2 rooms as we travelled with 2 other people, and were allocated rooms really far from each other. Would have preferred if our rooms were next to each other since we did them both under the same booking. - Ants in the room, despite hotel staff spraying it twice. - Sink water pressure needs to be fixed. - Broken toilet seat and shower door in the bathroom. Maintenance is desperately needed. - We were given a broken bed, that squeaked really bad whenever we moved while sleeping. Bit uncomfortable. FOOD - Limited food options during dinner time. We were given 2 different meat options, 1 carb option and 1 veggies option. Would have been better if we had more food options. - Aircon were barely turned on in the restaurant, so we were sweating profusely. POOL - Swimming pool was a bit small. It looks way better in the photos than they were in person.

• Derek (10/5): Desirable holiday stay - It is charmingly old fashioned with a beautiful garden and centre piece swimming pool. Everything in the room worked, and the staff couldn't have been more efficient nor helpful. There was nothing that jarred.

Many attractions can be done from flic en flac which is nice as well. The stuff was super friendly and helpful. The style of the hotel was a bit old fashion.
• Colin (8/5): - A quaint and charming property of rooms around a courtyard type garden with swimming pools, sunloungers, lawns and beautiful trees situated behind the road directly across from the beach. Very close to restaurants and local take-away huts. Staff all very welcoming and helpful. The room contained one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Furniture was dark and in keeping with the property. It was nice to have a sink separate from the toilet and shower room. We had a problem with ants when we first arrived, maybe because we were the first occupants of the season.

Public beach on other side of the street. Beautiful around the pool. Wi-Fi only in lobby and not always. Water in shower not steady warm (very hot and in few seconds very cold). Quality of TV picture very poor and only five channels. Generally place nice for money we spent.

• Roman (8/5): Hodnocení MANISA HOTEL - Příjemný personál, všude udržovaná čistota. Velice malý výběr ke snídani - stále pouze vajíčka, jeden druh sýra, jeden druh kuřecích párků. Poměrně málo místa na parkování. Nepříznivý kurz při výměně peněz v recepci hotelu. V zadní části hotelu slabá WIFI.

• Maria (6/5): Ok Lage, Hotel nichts Spezielles - Das Hotel ist relativ einfach, schöner Garten, Pool ok, Zimmer ok, relativ sauber. Handtücher werden täglich ausgewechselt, in dieser Zeit kriegt man aber keine neuen. Das Personal im Frühstücksraum ist sehr nett. Das Personal am Empfang hingegen sehr unsympathisch und unsicher bzw. unprofessionell. Man wurde beim Betreten des Hotels nie gegrüsst, das Personal schaute immer weg, als würde es uns nicht sehen. Noten in Kleingeld wechseln am Empfang nicht möglich; offenbar hat das Hotel nur EUR 20.- in der Kasse?? Deshalb bekamen wir bei der Busfahrt Probleme, da zu grosse Noten fürs Ticket. Lage ist ok, da vor dem Hotel Bushaltestelle steht. Auch über der Strasse ist gleich der Strand. Der Supermarkt Spar ist etwa 10Min zu Fuss erreichbar. Ist der einzige Supermarkt in Flic en Flac mit etwas Auswahl. Das Frühstück ist etwas enttäuschend. Nur Baguette; Toast fehlt ab und zu. Keine Variation, z.B. dunkles Brot oder Croissants. Nur Apfelschnitze und trockene Orangenschnitze als Früchte serviert. Auch die Konfitüren von schlechter Qualität (Gelée). Wir hatten selbstgekaufte Produkte zum Frühstück mitgenommen. Wenn man keine grossen Ansprüche hat, ist das Hotel ok. Wir hatten nur Frühstück gebucht. Am Abend sahen wir kaum Gäste im Restaurant essen. Es gibt ausserhalb des Hotels nettere Restaurants!

The front office manager probably thinks that if he smiles his face will fall of !! Pool table could not be used although it was opened every day !! The pool area were nice an clean. The presentation of food is pretty bad, no menu available at the table of what is offered. No bacon available in the mornings. Drinks were not cold. Waiters were attentative.

Requested iron and board at check in and advised not available until 8 am next morning but when requested next morning they were unavailable. They offered someone to do ironing and she came and took item for ironing quickly and did a great job. Breakfast was tea, juice, yogurt, fruit, bread, cold crepes, processed cheese. No service from employees but nicely set up. Small pool. Room looked to hotel’s garbage dump with old bathtub and lots of debris so not nice. Great location across street from beach and restaurants nearby. Room was pleasantly quiet considering busy neighbourhood. Room was clean. Expensive for very basic facilities.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Günstiges Hotel an der Promenade – aber älter - Das Hotel ist eines der günstigsten in Flic en Flac. Daran messen sich die Erwartungen. Es liegt direkt an der Strandpromenade. Zuerst wollte man uns in einem Nachbargebäude über einer Karaoke–Bar unterbringen. Als wir um ein anderes Zimmer baten, haben wir es sofort bekommen. Überhaupt war der Service sehr freundlich. Im Garten der Hauptanlage laufen derzeit Bauarbeiten. Unser Flug ging erst abends. Wir durften das Zimmer noch den ganzen Tag behalten, ohne Aufpreis. Am Strand vor der Anlage wird am Wochenende ordentlich gefeiert.

• Theo (8/5): Hotel Manisa is a rather basic but fine hotel. - My wife and I stayed for 11 nights in the first two weeks of November 2017 and had a wonderfull time in Mauritius. We booked Hotel Manisa with breakfast and dinner. Staff was very kind and helpfull. Breakfast was rather basic but every morning fresh omelettes on a side order! Dinner was for us fine as partly we had plate service and buffet which gave a nice variation. The number of guests that had dinner in the evening was limited. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Parking of car possible on the premises of the hotel.
• S (4/5): Hotel accommodation - Initially I was put in a room which was very noisy, the next evening they moved me, it was still noisy as you can hear the night club just outside of the hotel and you can hear the guests above you move around if you are on a lower lever apartment. My fridge worked on and off and the hot water was intermittent as was the internet. The food was satisfactory, although I sent the bread back as stale and my dinner was cold. The staff were very accommodating and did their utmost to please especially the night porter. The hotel is in a very good location to the beach.

• Eng Kiat (2/5): No need to stay at this hotel. - The swimming pool is under renovation and the hotel never inform us earlier. There's no hair dryer in the room, I called the reception and the staff was very rude to tell me there's no hair dryer at that moment, I need to wait until next day. The dinner and breakfast were very lousy, nothing much can choose.

Dinner doesn't even taste good, but more expensive than better restaurants nearby. No standard menu card is given to customers. Prices vary from person to person in the staff. They don't provide shampoo. No towels before 8:00 AM. Not going to go there another time.
