- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs some tlc - Although we enjoyed our stay very much, the rooms and hotel itself could definitely do with some tlc. On arrival, the safe and fridge in our room were not working. The safe did get sorted but nothing was done about the fridge. The hairdryer in one of the bathrooms had wires showing. The bed was very comfortable. The staff around the pool and in the evening at reception were very helpful and friendly.

- Hamzah (4/5): - It goes back to the saying “you get what you paid for”. The staff are very friendly and the views are great. However, the rooms are terrible and outdated. When I first checked in I had to move rooms 2 twice due to sewage smell as well as dead bugs over the bed. Once I got situated I still noticed bugs in every corner. The bed is extremely uncomfortable and the water in the bathroom couldn’t stay on the same temperature.
- Dawn (8/5): Beautiful view - Hotel was very clean. Was dissapointed that we were not given a twin room as requested this twice on an email. The room we had did have a wonderful view of the harbour and castle. Whilst the breakfast was good there were no variations on the eggs only hard boiled each day. Waiting staff and pool staff were very friendly and attentive. Shame the reception staff weren't the same !. Top tip... get a taxi into and out of town as the walk is extremely dusty and dirty and perilous !

- Neil (8/5): Nice base for our three day stay in Bodrum. - Really nice hotel with great views, a nice pool and infinity pool and comfortable spacious rooms. Prices in the bar and restaurant are a bit expensive compared to restaurants in the town, but quality was good. It is at the top of a short but steep hill, so that may put some people off. Most of the staff were really nice and helpful which is always a plus.
- WAFAA (8/5): - As many reviews have stated the positives are that the view from the hotels is incredible and the price is competitive. The negatives are the service which is horrible the staff is totally unprofessional and do not care at all about customers' satisfaction especially those working in the reception. Zero customers oriented. the location over the hill although not far away from the center. However, you need to take a taxi which are available in front of the hotel
- John (10/5): A great hotel just off the city centre - The Manastir is a good option that is close to the city center of Bodrum without necessarily all the problems with the noise and traffic. The breakfast is quite good, and the pools quite conveniently located to the rooms, which are cool and comfortable. The view is quite good, especially at dinner. However, the climb up and down the hill can get to you, and you may find yourself calling up taxis to get home at night.

Some of the basic appliances such as land line telephone had problems , I guess with server and could not be repaired right away..I think they have to do better maintenance during off season. Gorgeous views from the room, swimming pool, and restaurant. The only thing I would point is service in the restaurant. We definitely enjoyed the stay and were pleased with room. We would love to stay again next time we visit.

- Sia (6/5): Good hotel but the staff simply don't care - At chechin the staff knew but failed to tell us that WiFi was not working at this higher-end hotel. They claimed the storm the night before was a culprit for internet being spotty throughout the city of hundred 147,000. This was a lie. We used internet at many coffee shops and also inquired at two other hotels. No problem with Wi-Fi. Very surprising that Hussein the front desk manager never contacted me when myself and other guests complained and waited for him to show up for an hour. The view in this hotel is great but in my travels I have discovered service is number one priority. The staff at this hotel do not seem to care. Shrugged shoulders is all we receive. Different font does staff promised us several times that the issue would be resolved shortly but it never was. Stay away if service is important to you.

- Lynn (4/5): We will not return here again, very disappointing. - This was our third stay at this hotel and it has definitely changed for the worse. We were very disappointed compared to previous stays. The room was dull, dark and dreary. The bathroom needed a refurbishment and there was no hot water, lukewarm was as good as it got. The toiletries in the bathroom and the tea and coffee in the room were not replenished. The 'mini bar' is simply a small fridge containing 2 small bottles of water. Breakfast was terrible, the staff were disinterested and the hot food selection was not made available after our first morning. The breakfast area was grubby and cats were allowed to roam freely. The choice was limited, the vegetables and fruit were not fresh, and I discovered a dead insect in the yoghurt. Some guests were served with omelettes, but this option was never offered to us.The proprietors would appear to fallen out of love with the place, which is a shame. We would no longer recommend this hotel to anyone,and will be looking for an alternative place to stay when visiting Bodrum.

The room need to be refurbished, it is old, the walls are dirty and the bed sheets should not be used any more they are weary and rough. There were cockroaches and spiders too.

- Zeynep (10/5): Such an awesome hotel - We were traveling south-west of Turkey and stayed in many hotels and this one was the best of all. We stayed in superior rooms and it had an awesome view of whole Bodrum with the castle. Breakfast was exceptional as well.

- Dean (10/5): Amazing hotel experience - After a long drive to hotel,we were welcomed with smiling and professional hotel staff. The food was amazing and cheaper than restaurants in Bodrum. The facilities were good standard. The room service was to the highest standard and I would go back again. I think the breakfast needs more variety of meat and maybe some cereal for the kids and full fat milk. Maybe some entertainment for children would be good for parents to relax

Clean pools, gardens and common areas. Restaurant was fairly priced. If we return to Bodrum, we will stay there again.
- BL7CS (8/5): - This is an older property which could use some upgrading to their hotel rooms. The property itself is one of the best in Bodrum sitting high above the city with an excellent view of the port and beach area. The hotel has a very nice pool area to include a kid's pool. The property was very clean and once you park your car a taxi stand right outside the hotel can take you down to the beach area for a very reasonable fee.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - We loved the view and the room size, the room was not dusted while we there so after 10 days you could run your finger along furniture and pick up dust, the fridge was useless, they changed it for another one which was just as useless, they advised fridge so it should be o e that keeps things cold in 35degrees it’s definitely needed!!! The shower leaked water onto the floor after every shower, and looked very dated and old, the water pressure was very good. The staff were very friendly but some didn’t speak English very well or at all, but not a problem. The hill down to harbour is very steep and vibe a problem for some, but cheap taxi outside hotel if needed. More 3 star than 4. Would return in foams pay more for upgrade room.

Mid-April is the start of the summer season. Booked the Penthouse Suite for 7 days. Very nice location with beautiful views. The room was spacious with a nice balcony. Nice pool. Close to the town and sites. Taxi stand right out front. Housekeeping was okay. Hotel restaurant had too many cats inside, (I'm not a cat person). Free breakfast did not have much variety. Lots of salad, cheese, olives and some sliced cold cuts. Not many hot food items but there were hot dogs daily and hard boiled eggs. Charged extra for juice which seemed petty. Wait staff needs improving, lots of standing and staring rather than filling coffee, water and cleaning plates off tables.

- Snjezana (8/5): - Great property with fantastic views. For those without a car or unwilling to take taxis would not recommend as it a real steep hill to navigate. Hotel does not have elevator or at least a ramp so with slighly heavier suitcase it is very incovenient if you stay in one of the lower rooms. Also staff should be friendlier and smile a little more. Overall a very nice play to stay!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Not up to expected normal standards of service. - Terrible check in process, took almost half an hour, problems with key three times, very noisy air conditioner but fortunately I have earplugs! Beautiful view, and the exterior public spaces are very nice and in good shape. Also pretty good Turkish style breakfast, but could use cappuccino maker. Staff was kind of young and not so experienced.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a fabulous hotel that has been converted out of a former monastery. There are flashbacks to its former purpose everywhere from arched doorways and vaulted ceilings to flagstone pathways and stained glass windows. It sits with an impressive view across the bay, so it's quite high, andwalking back there from the town can leave you breathless! That said it only takes a 5 minute downhill walk, and you are at the centre of the town which boats extensive bars restaurant and curiosity shops. The hotel serves a full Turkish breakfast buffet (extra charge for freshly squeezed orange juice) and the restaurant terrace boats excellent views! 2 swimming pools. This hotel is one of the larger ones in town but feels very personal, and independent. This is the second times I've stayed this...it won't be the last!!

- Janice (10/5): Serene boutique hotel with fantastic views - Wow, this is now our favorite hotel in the whole world. It's built into a hillside overlooking the town of Bodrum, with spectacular views of the bay. It combines old world ambience with the latest amenities. Cool architecture, beautiful gardens, two pools (which we swam in at night) and a bountiful free buffet breakfast. Strolled down to the shoreline for a nice dinner but keep in mind the steep walk back. You'll be huffing and puffing (or a quick cab ride). The landscaping in particular is lush and beautifully maintained and gives you a lot of privacy even in between units. We learned it's a favorite hotel for Turkish couples and families seeking a serene getaway. Can't wait to go back!
- Tom (8/5): Great location - The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the views were super. Our room was clean and large however the pool area could do with some loving care tiles missing etc. The hotel is located on top of a hill so its not so bad walking down to the beach but you need a taxi to return.

- Vlad (10/5): - Very nice, one of the best imo in Bodrum. With some live music once in a while by the pool in the evening with a stunning view on the port-city. The only nightmare is they’re WiFi that was lagging in signal but for the rest all good and the staff is very friendly.

- Jo (10/5): Beautiful hotel in a great location - Manastir hotel is modern and clean. The views from the hotel are stunning (try getting a sea view) and you can get balconies/patios which are private. The swimming pool area is beautiful with two pools (one is an infinity pool). The room was cleaned to a high standard every day with free bottles of water provided. Even our clothes were folded (which they really shouldn't have done). The noise levels were a minimum with nice thick walls and the hotel is far enough from the Bodrum bay to avoid all the noise from the bars etc. But is still only a 7 minute walk. Staff were exceptionally helpful, giving us our breakfasts in packed lunches if we were away for the day. Breakfast had fresh bread, cheeses, pastries, spreads, fruit, cereal and hot food. I would recommend a stay at Manastir and would love to go back!
- Joanna (10/5): Stunning view of Bodrum - We loved our stay here. There are two pools and plenty of places to sit with views out over the Bodrum marina, castle, and surrounding islands. The staff were wonderful - Ramazan and Okay gave us great service all weekend. It was a short walk to the waterfront, and a taxi stand just outside the hotel made transport to and from the hotel simple. The hotel is beautifully designed with colorful mosaics and complemented by lush gardens around the grounds. The food was really good too! We would stay here again, and recommend it to friends.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Pleasant stay overall, good breakfeast and nice views. Comfort score is a bit lower because the room only had 2 single beds. We asked for a king size bed and the hotel didn't have that many guests, so I doubt they ran out of rooms with king size beds :)

Arrived late and check in was trouble free, same room as previous, plenty of room, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included. I thought it was great value, even though it was out of season

- Sergio (2/5): Dirty rooms and rude staff - Although this hotel certainly has a great location, the regular rooms are uncomfortable (horrible mattress and extra small shower), without the promised view and awfully dirty (also found women´s hair on the bed and floor). The same can be said of the supposed suites, the rooms are dirty (as is the main breakfast area, the floors have not been cleaned in ages).. More importantly, the staff apart from rude, does not speak English. The front desk gal when asked about airport transport recommended a "special" shuttle service for the equivalent of about a hundred dollars - conveniently forgetting that bus transfer cost around four USD. Also, when asked about the town or possible tours I always got the some answer "go to a travel agency". The travel writers that recommend this hotel should actually stay here and writer more accurate reviews. For my fellow travelers I recommend you stay somewhere else.
- Chris (10/5): Amazing! - This hotel is on top of the world! It's super clean and the staff is amazing! Food is superb and the room is great. I'm so particular about everything, and Manastir Hotel is quiet yet fun, private and friendly. Can't say anything more except we will definitely come back!
