- Alan (10/5): - The laundry set up was very good and we used this facility. The most difficult part was the step into the bathroom. However i could understand why it was like that and did not have any solutions
- Yuk Chee (8/5): - The bathroom and especially the basin could have been cleaner. There was ingrained dirt in the basin. I left my clothes to dry for an extra 20 minutes as I was running late. When I came back to collect them, they were not there. Someone had asked the staff to collect them from the dryer. I was very embarrassed and unhappy as these were my undergarments. However, when I went to use the dryer another day, all were occupied and a couple of dryers had stopped. I waited half an hour but no one came to collect them. I told a staff member at the front desk but they told me they were not permitted to collect them. But they did collect mine. This made my stay unpleasant.

When I booked the room online via Expedia.com. I booked twin bed 2 adults. However I only received 1 adult breakfast. So I needed to paid 5 days breakfast for others.

- Noel (10/5): - I really enjoyed our stay at the Washington Shinjuku hotel. It was a clean, comfortable, centrally located place for our stay. There are many services right there, and everyone was helpful whenever we needed something.
- Kirstianne Mae (10/5): - This hotel was approximately a 10 min walk from the main shinjuku station. My stay was 10/10. Very near tokyo metropolitan building. Convenient for airport bus (to and from narita airport); just right across the main hotel (annex is connected to the main hotel). Would recommend to friends and family and would come back again.

We traveled with backpacks so it didn’t take up much space but if you are traveling with suitcases it will block the walk way or the small space next to the bed. Having a private bathroom was a priority for us. It had everything we needed. Only time we spoke to staff was to check in, very friendly. Although there is an entrance to the train station very close it is a bit of a walk to the actual train. Less than a 5 min walk to a Lawsons, Family Mart, MiniStop and a 7-Eleven.

- Robert (8/5): - Had a nice stay. Price per night was satisfactory. Room was clean, small but just fine for mine and my wife’s needs, we stored 3 pieces of luggage in the room. We made use of the hotels coin laundry on our final night which was convenient. Staff was pleasant on check in. Pretty convenient location in Shinjuku area. It was a 5 - 6 minute easy walk to the LOVE statue, where is where our two Viator day tours departed from. 10ish minute walk to Shinjuku Station which has connecting trains to Tokyo Station which is where the bullet trains go if you’re traveling to other cities. A few nice breakfast places nearby. Only inconvenience I’d mention was the lack of air conditioning. They had an air purifier, and a fan that circulated room air, but it was 26 C and humid in the room all three nights of our stay in September. Also didn’t love that the website claimed air conditioning was a feature when it wasn’t.

- Melaina (8/5): - Big hotel in a convenient location. 2 options for buffet breakfast - either in the Annex or the main hotel. There was much more choice for breakfast in the main building. Double rooms were very small, no space to put suitcases. Bathrooms were like those found on a cruise ship - it was like stepping into a cupboard. But I’ve read that many hotel rooms and bathrooms are like this in Tokyo, so not a criticism of the hotel, just not to our liking.

- Olivia (8/5): - Our stay was good! It was a pretty good location. Within a 10-15 minute walk of things to do, however, there are not many restaurants or cafes closer than that. You have to walk. It is a beautiful area and quiet street though! The room was very small, but all the space we needed for a quick stay. Pajamas and slippers were provided as well as all toiletries. There was no safe in the room which was disappointing. The room was clean except the bed… we kept finding hairs in the sheets that were not our hair color. It seemed the bed maybe hadn’t been changed before we got there. And the bed was very stiff. Overall it was a good experience for the price; we would stay again.
- Eve (8/5): - Excellent location—there’s even an underground walkway all the way to Shinjuku station (from the station look for South Exit then follow signs to TMG (Tokyo Municipal Government) Building. (The TMG also has a great observation deck on the 45th floor, where you can see much of the city and even Mt Fuji on a clear day, completely free!) The rooms are fine and this is a safe part around Shinjuku, walkable to shopping centers etc.

- Oliver (10/5): - Situated quite close to Shinjuku but a bit removed from the major bustle of the neighbourhood, staying at the Annex was a great experience. The rooms are modern and clean. There is a funny high step to get into the bathroom, but aside from that, there is more space than your average Tokyo hotel making it a pleasant space to spend some time in after a busy day of visiting. You have the choice of two breakfast buffets with a wide selection of both western and Japanese food choices. There are nearby convenience stores and restaurants. A great choice!

- Sabrina (10/5): - Nice and posh hotel for 1-night stay. The rooms are SMALL, so just be warned. We were in the pre-Golden week time, so the rates were high. The breakfast was excellent, we opted for the Japanese-style so the room was almost zen like, overlooking a side garden.
- CHRISTOPER (10/5): - This was my second stay at the hotel. Excellent again. Just be prepared for a walk to the station (but it is in a tunnel so easy and out of any rain)

- Jenny (10/5): - The check-in/check-out process was very smooth and easy. The room was clean and well-maintained, we got fresh towels everyday. It is an approx. 15 minute walk to Shinjuku station. There are some extra little goodies on the reservation floor such as face masks, cleansing oil, face cleanser, face lotion, toothbrush/toothpaste, brush, razor, etc. If you’re packing light, this hotel is perfect to cover all your hygienic needs. The pillows and bed are firm, but they have rental pillows near the elevator on your floor that are much softer. The A/C is operated by buttons near the reading light (they look like intercom buttons) and you can’t adjust the temp, but it was at a perfect temp anyways and provided air circulation. Great stay!

- VIVEK (6/5): - It was 10min walk to Shinjuku station but this is Tokyo and its the world's biggest city so have to be careful to not get lost and overwhelmed while getting there. Also the Annex is a separate building to the main and has its own entrance and lift. This is not an "easy" to get to hotel, or "easy" in terms of getting to your room.

The room size was good for a Japanese hotel, and the tunnel access directly from Shinjuku Station was a huge convenience on cold rainy/windy days. The bathroom was adequate but felt similar to those in lower-priced 3-star hotels. Despite this, the hotel's convenient location and comfortable rooms make it a worthwhile option in Shinjuku.

- Lisa (8/5): - Honestly I was nervous reading some of the bad reviews, but it was a perfect stay. Some people complained the room was small but we booked a double room and it was bigger than most hotel rooms we’ve stayed in in Japan with a desk and plenty of room to open our suitcases. Lieke of course it’s small compared to other country standards but it’s Shinjuku in a giant metro area. Everything was perfectly clean, the room was quiet, building was safe, elevator was so fast. We were on floor 8. The only thing I wish was different was you can’t change the temperature in the room, one night it got too hot but we fixed it by turning off the air. They also gave us a fan and an air purifier so it was fine. We also didn’t have any plugs close to the bed so we couldn’t charge our phone and use them while in bed which was annoying but fine in th grand scheme of things. Overall affordable and nice!

I loved that you can leave your luggage in a safe area to go around the city before check-in, and the breakfast was great. The breakfast area gets crowded (I had to wait for half an hour) so make sure to go early if you have an appointment.

- Zita (4/5): - Basically everything that could go wrong does go wrong with this hotel. I booked a room with my own family as well as other friends staying in separate rooms at the annex, and we all had similar complaints. During our stay, the room was incredibly hot. When we talked about this issue to the front desk, we requested that they possibly open the window for us, which they promptly declined. Afterwords, we were told to turn the air conditioning to the max and turn on the Dyson fan that was provided with our room. We told them we already did this and the response was that they would try their best to fix it, and when we asked what exactly their best was, they did not have an answer. We later found out that the air conditioning was actually actively harming us as it turns on the heat instead. After turning off the air conditioning the room was a little more bearable with 2 fans running, but was still uncomfortable. There was also excessive noise. Combined with the 2 noisy fans that were constantly running just to keep the room at a bearable temperature, it seemed as though there was always banging on the floor above us. The rooms were also incredibly dirty with visible areas grey with dust, as well as lamps and fixtures having visible dirt, grime, and dust. There are also limited outlets, with only 5 outlets for a 3 bed room. The location is also quite poor, being far from the station. The facilities are decent but does not excuse the many other negatives of this hotel.

- Sean (4/5): - The staff were lovely and the location is great for the price —- however, do not stay here if you want a comfortable bed, supportive pillows or big restroom. Our room was poorly ventilated and was super difficult to get to a reasonable temperature. I value these things in a hotel room so I will likely be paying more money to stay somewhere a little nicer the next time I’m in Shinjuku.

- Sylwester (10/5): - This hotel is impeccably clean and exceptionally well-maintained. Its prime location places it conveniently between a variety of shops and restaurants, with Shinjuku Station just a quick 10-minute walk away. The room is compact, as is standard in Tokyo. I highly recommend it.
