• Claire (9/5): Lovely place. Pleasant and helpful staff. Convenient to the places I needed to visit for a wedding. - The breakfast was one of the best self service ones I have come across. I would suggest upgrading the coffee maker as it does not produce a good coffee. The lady on duty was so pleasant and helpful. In the evening I found what I had to eat in Sena Restaurant to be very tasty and reasonably priced. The service is a little slow but I understand that is your custom and I was just not used to that way. All in all a lovely stay. Thank you. A check from time to time of the pool area. There was a father and son in the pool and they were shouting at the top of their voice. Then they produced a ball and started to loudly play with it in the pool. They had the pool to themselves. It was most unpleasant and very uncomfortable and very loud.

• Beth (10/5): Great stay! - We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa, it was very clean and fully equipped. Each bedroom had its own en-suite. Lovely gardens. Breakfast was great. And location was spot on. Would definitely recommend and return. Outside pool could have been a little bigger but overall it didn’t make a difference to our stay!

• Rachel (8/5): - Lovely location, clean villa Villa, could do with some TLC, cracks on the outside of the building and on the inside wall. Very disappointed with the temperature of the heated pool below 25 degrees. Not an acceptable temperature to swim in, my children could not use the pool as far too cold, staff said it was heated and below 25 was acceptable. Also, jacuzzi was also broken/cold and steam room was not working. Don't advertise a heated swimming pool when it is not, very disappointed.
• Pim (7/5): Fantastisch ontbijt, comfortabel appartement maar je voelt je er niet als gast behandeld. Zeer onvriendelijk receptieper - Het ontbijt was fantastisch. Iedere dag heerlijk zoet gebak zoals appeltaart, pastel de nata en diverse cakes. Maar ook veel vers fruit en hartige hapjes. Het personeel bij receptie is heel onvriendelijk en weten niet wat gastvrijheid betekent en wat normale service inhoudt. Als je een verzoek hebt proberen ze je zo snel mogelijk weg te sturen bij hun balie. Je voelt je totaal niet welkom en ze laten duidelijk merken dat ze geen moeite voor je willen doen. Ze hebben het te druk, het is vol en dit is nu eenmaal ons beleid is de standaard reactie die ik ze van kreeg op iedere normale vraag. Ze luisteren niet de gast en geven niet je het gevoel dat je welkom bent. Ik heb veel gereisd, maar ben niet eerder zo bejegend.

Perfect, peaceful location, pool area great for families and the beautiful beach a walk away. • Tara (10/5): - We love lakeside we stay there everyyear. Facitilites are amazing and staff are always so helpful The only thing we felt was disaspointing this year was the breakfast. We felt that as the week got busier there was only one member of staff on to serve everyone which was far too much to handle. The food was just being thrown out at times arriving with everything empty, we also felt the cleaniness of sena wasnt at its usual standards.

• Beverly (6/5): Nice apartments, check the A/C works though & don´t eat at the pool bar! - The apartments were spacious & on the whole well equipped. The pool was nice. Happy there was a gym but it was not very impressive. The apartments are nice but the air conditioning in several apartments that various family members were staying in did not function. It was impossible to sleep the first night that we stayed due to this. The A/C was fixed by the second night but no compensation was offered for the disruption. The breakfast provided is Ok but not as good as historically. The service has been outsourced & deteriorated as a result. The same service provider staffs the pool bar. I would recommend not to eat there unless essential. Its very overpriced & disappointing.

• gregmB3671OB (10/5): Attending family wedding in Quinta do Lago - Lakeside country club Quinta do Lago I would highly recommend spacious and beautiful apartments .clean to a high standard . Lovely complex . A special mention to Lilyana in the restaurant who went out of her way by providing takeaway breakfast on the morning of a family wedding to ensure the ladies were fed while getting hair and make up done the morning of the wedding . Well done Lakeside team.
• bazp51 (10/5): Another super visit - We spent 4 lovely nights at the Lakeside - which is a lovely complex. We have stayed 10+ times and have always enjoyed the apartments, which are spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. It's a great location for the local boardwalks, The Shack Bar and The Campus sports complex. The hosts are always very welcoming to both us and our small dog (who we took for the first time). The breakfast is good and hearty. Plus the swimming pool is excellent in both summer and winter (covered and heated). We will definitely stay again. An excellent place.

There were staffing issues which impacted service daily at breakfast, and replenishment of food, also during our stay, there was one day without the poolside bar or restaurant open. A heads up about this would have been appreciated.

• Paula (7/5): It was a fabulous stay except for the experiences of dining services being closed all day Sunday and us not being told i - The facilities were amazing but we had a bad experience with service on Sunday when neither the Pool Bar or Restaurant were not open and we were not advised that this was going to be the situation. We had an elderly couple in our group who were completely inconvenienced by the situation. If we had been told we could have made other arrangements and plans for the day. The facilities are fantastic. There is nothing about the actual physical property we did not like.

• Nuno (9/5): - Excellent location in the center of Quinta do Lago. Apartment was extremely clean and looked like it had been renovated recently. Breakfast was also a plus: nice selection and great location (Sena restaurant). We were not particularly impressed by the pool. It is large and also has a hot tub and a steam room, but part of the area is covered (a partial roof conceals a retractable cover that allows the hotel to have an indoor pool in the not so warm months). While I understand this design (certainly a plus for winter stays), this type of layout is not that great in summer months - at certain moments of the day large parts of the pool are on the shade, which can make it uninviting (specially if there is some wind). Constructive suggestion: the beach is a bit far from the hotel (this is true for most properties in Quinta do Lago), and requires a 15min drive or a 40+ min walk to reach. As an alternative, it would be a great added value if the hotel could provide bikes to the guests.

• Carla (9/5): Very happy with this property and would definitely be staying there again. - Location for us was excellent. Pool was good but we didn't use it much as we were mostly out. Cleanliness of property overall was excellent. Found the pillows very uncomfortable. Recommend better quality pillows. On one occasion a mouldy towel was put out for our use in the bathroom. Reported this to reception and they were very apologetic.
