We will be staying there again in the near future. Lots of hair in the shower drain. Surface level. What appears to be black mold around the A/C vent area. Everything else was PERFECT.

- Julie (5/5): For us, a disappointing stay. - Close to bridge so that we could easily walk to the historic section. Price was high for the level of service and quality. No outside noise that we could hear. Only shades in window that had an outdoor light on all night. Room was bright because of it. Shower flooring was old and moldy. Air conditioner was unable to meet temperature and loud. Floor was dirty - wore socks and they were turned brown. The door didn’t feel secure and could not seal shut. We thought the king room had a deck with it and it backed to a fence with junk. Person who checked us in was VERY unfriendly. I would not recommend - we have stayed at other high 8 rankings and they have been much better. Not sure how this was ranked this well.

The views from the back patio were everything we had hoped they would be. The staff was phenomenal. The air conditioner was very loud. That truly was the only issue.

- Heidi (9/5): Would definitely go back to Edgewater Inn when/if we visit St Augustine again. - The Inn is right on the water next to the Bridge of Lions. Facing west so you get beautiful sunsets and view of historic St Augustine. It is quiet at night. Relaxing sitting on the deck outside your room after a day of playing tourist. They serve breakfast. Staff are very nice. There is nothing negative that I have to say. This was our second time there. Make sure you book water front room. We booked last minute so they weren’t available.

There’s nothing super fancy about the place, but the hospitality was amazing and they made our stay lovely. The rooms are not the most up to date but they are clean. It has more of an old Florida vibe to it. The beds and pillows are comfy! The staff made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond. The rooms could benefit from curtains to block the outside lights at night. I made a comment to Tara after the first night and she gave me something to cover up our windows. Tara took care of us throughout our stay along with Rick, Ronnie, and Sarah. I don’t believe I met anyone else but if I did I’m sure they were wonderful too! They all treated us so well! The breakfast casserole was amazing! I loved my morning view from the lobby as I ate breakfast. The social hour in the evening was good. Wines and some juices were provided as well as some light appetizers including cheese, meats, and some dips. And let’s talk about the LOCATION!! You cannot beat the location of this place! Right on the water overlooking historic St. Augustine. Walk across the bridge and you’re right in the heart of downtown. We saw dolphins every day. It’s not the time of year to see the manatees here (too cold for them) but we were told that people do see manatees out there too. We will be back to Edgewater Inn again!!

Went to the free breakfast not expecting much and was handed an amazing plate of hot food and fruit to enjoy on the back porch while watching the dolphins. Staff was very nice and welcoming. n/a

La sympathie et la bienveillance du personnel. La propreté des lieux. L’emplacement (nous avons pu visiter St Augustine à pied) et le parking gratuit. L’hôtel est un peu « dans son jus » et mériterait un rafraîchissement mais il n’en reste pas moins fonctionnel et propre

Our breakfast was presented well and with a real "sence of we care here". We will definitely return. The floors in our room were in need of a scrubbing.

The complimentary social hour was a pleasant event. The bridge and road by the hotel is quite busy and loud, only an issue when the door is open though.

The room was great with comfy bed and pillows, a fridge, coffee maker etc, the terrace was amazing!! Such a gorgeous view and so peaceful but yet just a short walk over the bridge to the old town and marina. We arrived early at 1pm and asked if we could leave our car whilst we went exploring and Sue was great, not only letting us park but giving us our key so we could go straight to the room later in the evening, very much appreciated. The breakfast was delicious, an egg quiche with fresh fruit and plenty of cereal or bread/bagels for toasting too. The coffee was tasty and i enjoyed a takeaway one on the terrace before we had to leave. Book it, you'll not be disappointed! Book it, you'll not be disappointed!

Morgens wurde versehtlich das Zimmer geöffnet vom Personal und weggelaufen ohne Erklärung, was sehr unheimlich war. Eine Erklärung gab es erst nach Nachfrage beim Frühstück. Sehr unprofessionell. Pool nicht schön. Fenster nicht zum Öffnen. Zimmer sehr dunkel.
- Daniela (8/5): Günstig gelegen und günstiger Preis - Das Bad war gut renoviert und es gab ein Bügeleisen und Brett. Die Betten waren schön bezogen und es gab Ablagemöglichkeiten. Türen und Terrasse waren in einem etwas abgestoßenen Zustand. Der Pool lag am Parkplatz und der Straße und alles wirkte etwas unsicher. Das Hotel liegt an der sehr befahrenen Brücke, so dass es auch nachts recht laut ist. Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen. Das Frühstück ist sehr basic, Toast hell, Bagel, Rosinenbrot, Cornflakes und ein Eierkuchen, der sehr köselastig ist und auch nicht variiert werden kann, da vermutlich schon fertig.

We commented on the lovely view and were immediately told ---but the room you booked doesn't have a view of the water (or anything else) ...Okay, well could we get one of your EMPTY rooms with a view????

- Edwin (5/5): The place wasn't really bad, but it didn't leave me with any desire for a repeat stay. - The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. It is just across the bridge from downtown. On the water, but there is not really any view from inside the room. You can go on a deck, but from noon to dusk you are in full sun. It's a little sizzling in the summer. Frankly, the staff seemed a bit surly...certainly not welcoming!

Its a older motel, but beds are very comfi (not to soft, not to hard) and roomsize is great. Also, always most important for me, it was clean! Would come again!

Breakfast was the only thing that wasn't absolutely perfect about our stay here. Beverage & carb options were great. However the only protein options were a bacon or spinach egg bake with a side of sausage links. I'm allergic to onions so couldn't have the egg bake & I wasn't offered other options. My accompanying family said it was wonderful though!
- AnnMarie (1/5): I would not recommend this property,. - The room was "ready" when we arrived before 4 pm. They served breakfast in the morning and they had a social hour that they provided. I understand an older hotel/motel however; the room was not clean and the building was so old and looks like basic maintenance had not been done in years. There was a chair in the room that was filthy, chairs were provided to sit outside which was very nice but it was so dirty outside. It appeared these bugs and dirt had been there a long time not to mention the holes in the roof. I am now concerned about my future reservations I have made through booking.com based on this experience. This hotel was highly recommended by Booking.com.

- Judith (10/5): We look forward to return stays. - The excellent location of the Edgewater directly across from St Augustine at the foot of the Bridge of Lions with wonderful serful and comfortable accommodations to make this a great option for visits to a popular tourist city. A social hour and a hearty breakfast in a lounge overlooking St Augustine offered a priceless view of the old city. The location allowed us to walk and avoid the frenzy of finding parking and navigating narrow, busy streets.

We got there early on our check-in day, but was not Able to check in they said until four, but we were able to leave the car and we walked across the Lions bridge, and enjoyed our day
- BeauchiefExPat (2/5): A Basil Fawlty Tribute Motel - Expectations were high, good ratings and excellent standards; for instance, we weren’t going to be allowed to smoke, smuggle in a cat nor fish from our room. The reality was somewhat different, being confronted by a long line of chalet type doors that wouldn’t look out of place in a British nineteen fifties holiday camp. An unkempt swimming pool was located in the car park and the general air of decay was exemplified by the rotting wooden fascia boards being replaced. We were early but thought it necessary to introduce ourselves. We were met by an elderly, grumpy woman who aggressively wanted to know what we wanted. Returning in the afternoon we completed the check in and were given the card to our cubicle; it was facing the street and away from the bay frontage so there was going to be no fishing for us. The holiday camp theme continued inside; a small room, basic furniture and a dated shower room with peeling paint on the walls and ceiling. The guest brochure listed all the amenities that the “hotel” had to offer, which overwhelmingly consisted of local facilities. We did learn that a “gourmet” breakfast was included in the room rate, but on discovering that it was to be served on paper plates my wife elected for Starbucks instead. It was a relief to check out before the dawn, never to return.

- Kimm (9/5): Excellent View - Unexpected surprise breakfast was different than most you sat at a table and they brought you out this delicious hash brown egg Delight, surrounded with fruit and sausages it was excellent. The location was breathtaking .just beautiful. Even though everything was excellent , it is an older building and it had that musty smell that made it hard for me to breathe, it will remind you of a cabin out in the woods , which would be expected being right there on the intercoastal the water, was right up to the deck. My granddaughter wasn't feeling well so we could not stay the two nights we expected to stay , we only saved one.
