It was a pleasure to stay at Tamukami, all facilities were comfortable and clean. The location is perfect... tucked away from the main street but close to the market, beach and shops.

• Leanne (9/5): Excellent Hotel in Central Sanur. - Great experience. I loved the location right opposite the Icon Mall and the Nest Spa. The surrounds are Balinese inspired and the pool was a lovely area to relax in. Plenty of sunbeds but not overcrowded. The rooms are large with generous sized bathrooms. Bed was comfortable with good pillows and linen. I recommended to my son and husband for a trip they did and they loved it too. Booked again for December, 2026. Mosquitoes outside my room. Bring your repellent and ask staff to put coils in place.

• Stephen (9/5): Great quiet and leafy spot close to the centre of Sanur - Tamukami is in a very quiet spot tucked away from the main drag in Sanur. The rooms are grouped round a verdant courtyards and swimming pool - they are airy and spacious, with comfy beds and good size bathrooms. It’s a great place to come if you want a more authentically Balinese experience than what’s on offer from more modern hotels. There are also some really good restaurants just a few steps away along the Main Street. Breakfast could have been better - the setting is idyllic and service is pleasant, but the options are limited and they could definitely improve on the coffee and fresh fruit on offer. At the time we visited (April 2026) access to the beach - only one block away - was tricky because of building works.

I would prefer a slightly softer mattress, not a complaint, just a preference and I didn’t make any request to change.

• Keiji (7/5): ロケーションが良い、落ち着けるホテル - スタッフのホスピタリティが素晴らしかった。 色々な所に使用しないガラクタが置いてあり、見苦しかった。そういった細かい所もちゃんとする意識が低い点が残念だった。 ホテルのスタッフは良い人ばかりでしたので、この問題は、経営者かホテルのマネージャーによるものだと思います。 せっかく、古い良さが魅力のホテルなので、掃除も含め、整理整頓をちゃんとして、綺麗にしていただきたいと感じました。あと、レストランの雰囲気作りをもっとしてもらえると利用したい気持ちになります。

• Harrie (8/5): Een rustig gelegen hotel nabij het strand met een mooie binnenplaats met zwembad. - De ligging van het hotel in Sanur. Vlak bij het strand en tegenover het grote winkelcentrum Icon Bali. Er is een fijn zwembad bij en sommige gedeelten van het hotel worden opgeknapt. Het geheel is netjes maar enige modernisering is zeker nodig. (Wat dus ook gebeurd). De binnentuin met zwembad is een oase van rust. De Belgische eigenaresse is vriendelijk, zij woont ook zelf in het hotel en je ziet haar dan iedere dag in het zwembad of bij haar zangvogels in twee kooien. Niets gezien de prijsstelling van het hotel.

• Eelco (8/5): Heerlijk tot rust gekomen tussen vriendelijke en zorgzame mensen - Kleinschalig hotel dicht bij strand en de nieuwe Mall. Heel erg vriendelijk personeel, ruime kamers, goede sfeer, een rustige plek in het verder toch wel wat drukke Sanur. Geen high-end toestanden, gemoedelijk en familiair. Prima zwembad met ligstoelen. Het restaurant bij het hotel serveert prima producten, tot en met prima rijsttafels. De badkamer is wat gedateerd, alles is aanwezig en wordt goed verzorgd maar de tand des tijds heeft z’n sporen achtergelaten.

• David (1/5): Det kunne være en kandidat til 0 stjerner programmet med Jan Elhøj på TV - Beliggenheden var fin tæt på stranden og bylivet i Sanur. Gå gennem ICON til stranden Potentialet er godt. Men alt er slidt, og der dryppede vand ind fra loftet på toilettet. Om natten kravlede der dyr på loftet , måske rotter eller et mindre kattedyr, det blev aldrig opklaret. Loftet faldt helt ned pga regn på en af vores altaner ( vi havde 3 værelser i vores gruppe på 6) om natten, godt at ingen opholdt sig derude.

We stayed at Tamukami Hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience. The owner is not Balinese, and her behaviour made us feel uneasy throughout our stay. She frequently stared at guests while they were swimming in the pool or eating breakfast, which created an awkward and unsettling atmosphere rather than a welcoming one. We booked two rooms, and both had serious maintenance issues. In our room, the shower temperature surged between hot and cold, which felt unsafe—especially for children. The water pressure was very poor, the TV did not work, and the linen felt oily and uncomfortable. The second room was in even worse condition: the TV wouldn’t turn on at all, there was no hot water and only a weak drizzle from the shower, the toilet was leaking and stained, and the hairdryer was essentially unusable. The rooms are in urgent need of repairs and a full makeover. Sadly, it felt as though more attention was given to personal comforts than to investing in fixing the rooms for paying guests. Overall, this stay did not meet expectations, and we would not return in its current condition.

Напор воды ужасный, настроить невозможно, т.к. постоянно то сильнее, то слабее. Струи душа бьют сильно. Горячая вода -редкость. Не поняла почему. И из-за близости ТЦ и пробки такси в аэропорт я не дождалась. Персонал нашел машину но 30 минут нервов...
• Caroline (5/5): Dissapointing - The staff were lovely -very happy and helpful- they make a great satay at the restaurant too - close to massages - but overall this accommodation was a big disappointment This is a honest unbiased opinion, I booked this resort based on its reviews and photos - it looked great - first time visiting Sanur so was looking forward to arriving . First impressions were of a run down , unloved hotel - lots of renovations going on - but the whole appearance was drab and tired. Lovely reception staff - the owner is Dutch and basically watches everything and everyone - she is quick to tell you " I own the place" she lives on the premises. Past reception were 2 small cages with a couple of sad birds - would of loved to set them free. The room we had was at the back which was nice and quiet - however the shower ran cold then hot then cold etc and nothing could change that. Wifi constantly dropped out , beds were like concrete - and a smell came up from the drain in bathroom at night . The location is very central - unfortunately the pavements are under construction and absolutely treacherous to navigate especially at night. The beach is within walking distance but you have to cut through a big fancy shopping centre " the icon" to get to it which isn't very practical after you've been swimming and then have to trapse back through. So onto breakfast- it's a set menu- 2 choices - a indonesian meal or American which is eggs and one rasher of bacon . You get a small plate of fruit to start , orange juice ( not freshly squeezed) your eggs or rice meal , 2 pieces of toast , coffee - that's it - same every single day no variation . We ended up checking out 3 days early and checked in on the beachfront which had a buffet breakfast for basically the same price as this place. Do not be fooled by the photos - it does not look anything like it - but in all fairness it is a peaceful quiet place. Would I stay again - no I think it needs a major overhaul all around . Just very dissapointed.

• Brett (8/5): Hidden Traditional Gem Across From Icon Bali. - Location is fabulous. Tucked away in quiet spot but just over the road from the Bali Icon Mall which leads to the beach promenade... Lots of shops, restaurants, cafes, and beach front within easy walk... The rooms are very large surrounding a central pool area which is inviting and clean... The Traditional architectural style is very appealing to me... Breakfast was a choice of either American or Indonesian and quite basic but tasty... The bed in our room was humongous, like two king size beds together... The staff were very friendly and helpful when we had a problem with the hot water and we changed rooms without fuss... They could have checked the room with the hot water issue prior to our arrival.... At certain times of the night the rodents in the roof space were noisy... Apart from that it was excellent...

Le petit déjeuner qui est moins varié, se sont des petits détails mais un coup de dépoussierage sur le dessus des meubles, et un coup de rafraichissement dans la salle de bain meme si la suite était très spacieuse.

Breakfast options are limited. The bathroom could do with an update. Walking around the neighbourhood was a hassle, because of the pavement works on the sidewalks. Obviously this is only temporary.
