• Christian (8/5): Top! - Alles sehr sauber, freundliches Team& toller Service! Wasserflaschen& Wasserkocher mit Tee& Kaffee werden am Zimmer bereitgestellt. Warmwasser für die Dusche ist, wie hierorts üblich über einen Schalter "Heater" (oft neben dem Lichtschalter fürs Bad), separat einzuschalten & dann klappt das auch ;) Alles perfekt!

• Zhi Shawn (10/5): 10 out of 10 - Where do I start! The staff were exceptional; they were really friendly and when our room's air-con started leaking, they promptly came in and fixed it and gave us new sheets as they were wet from the leak. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. The area around the hotel is very walk-able and so many things were within walking distance. Kimberly Street Food Night Market was just around the corner (very good food indeed), The Top @ Komtar was very close-by so it's good for families, and popular streets like Armenian St. and Mural Art Lane are only roughly 15 minute walks from the hotel. Our favourite Penang breakfast spots were also very close-by, with Toh Soon Cafe and Hutton Lane Roti Bakar being nearby so you don't have to stay hungry for too long in the mornings! Also plenty of convenience stores around for your daily needs and so many good restaurants to choose from in the area. Can't recommend this hotel enough! Will definitely be coming back to this place if we decide to return to Penang for a holiday! N/A 😊

• Paula (2/5): Doesn't seem accurate with the reviews, if you like a clean place, that's not the one. - Location was good, bed is comfortable. Girl from night shift was attentive. Very very dirty. Towels had stains, bedroom had spider net, we went to turn on the water boiler plug and the fuse exploded. We needed to swap bedrooms because of mold smell.

I chose this for the price point, but wish I had spent a little more to be honest. It was OKAY, nothing really nice about it. Nothing too bad. It was very dated and a little eerie. When I checked out I also asked to borrow a towel so I could shower at the gym afterwards and before my flight. The hotel wouldn’t lend me a towel, despite saying I would pay a deposit and my suitcase was still at the hotel. A lot of back and forth and the answer was still no to the point the lovely reception staff went and purchased me a towel (i did insist i paid), so i don’t know who is managing this hotel but it’s very bizarre and seems inflexible with ‘rules’. To reiterate again, the receptionist was lovely!!

• Ageelan (10/5): Cozy, Friendly and Affordable - The staffs are very friendly and cooperative. There was once my room was cleaned without being request. The mineral water bottle was replaced with extra 2 bottles. This could be due to the hot weather. The property is nearby to Kimberly Street with variety of street food. Suitable for vegetarians as well as I am vegetarian. Overall, it is a highly recommended property for all types of travelers. The desk was just nice for me to do my assignments.

The water in the shower never got more than slightly luke warm, breakfast had to be ordered the day before and was served outside on the roof terrace and only tea and coffee were provided - not great to eat in 32+ degree C weather and full sun. Better not in have breakfast included and go elsewhere.

The location is fantastic, among Malacca strait style townhouses. Easy access to old town in Georgetown, plenty of restaurants in less than 5 min walk. Nothing really.

Dicht zu den Hotspots und trotzdem war es um das Hotel selbst ruhig.) Extrem freundliches Personal! Kostenloses Trinkwasser. Gepäckaufbewahrung möglich. Vermutlich die leiseste, gut funktionierende Klimaanlage, die wir in allen Hotels in Malaysia hatten. Diverse Restaurants in der Nähe und abends zusätzlich Essensstände. Für uns unschlagbares Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. (Für ein Hotel für einen Städtetrip.) Grundsätzlich sehr sauber. Wir würden das Hotel definitiv empfehlen. Im Bad hat es sehr übel gerochen. Vermutlich aus dem Abfluss. Es wäre schön, wenn das behoben werden könnte. Ein Handtuch und der Teppich auf den Fluren in den Gängen war ziemlich schmutzig. Ansonsten aber wie gesagt sehr sauber.

• Susanne (6/5): Außen hui, innen naja - Super Lage, die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Es wirkt stylisch. Als wir angereist sind, hat die Elektrik in vielen Zimmern nicht funktioniert. Dieses Problem wurde aber recht schnell behoben. Im Zimmer angekommen, gab es für ca. 2 Stunden kein Wasser. Abends hat das WI-FI oft nicht funktioniert. Das Hotel wirkt stylisch, ist aber teilweise schmuddelig und die Geräte funktionieren nicht.

• Roland (8/5): Great choice - Well presented modern hotel in a fantastic location, nearby the Komtar bus station which makes it very easy to get about and just on the edge of the UNESCO site. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is comfortable and clean The room has aircon, a kettle, and a fridge. We didn't try the restaurant but it was popular The lights in our room were a bit odd, the bedside light only worked when the bathroom light was also switched on.

The highlight was the Le Vie restaurant, food and staff were excellent. Would recommend anyone to stay here. Minor issue, bathroom sink was not fixed to the floor so if you leaned on it it moved.
