- Yanto (10/5): -
- ALPHONSUS (6/5): GOOD - In general the facilities are not there , you should have at least a small fringe in the room, better quality of towels - softer and better quality toiletries.
YOUR KITCHEN AND FOOD IS GREAT YOUR KITCHEN AND FOOD IS GREAT
- Muhammad Umair (7/5): - I stay in room 304 but i suggest not stay there because there was something i feel in that room...
Hotel staff and cleaning was very good but in room 304 staying alone is not recommended
- Familia Novita (8/5): -
- Familia Novita (8/5): Wonderful one night stay - Love the view from room and vibe as well...i suggest u to stay more than one night to get maximum satisfaction Unfortunately, the room only has single bed and the breakfast by choice
- Simbolon (8/5): - Good The ac was leaking, the engineer tried to suggest me to move to another room..but then i stayed in the same room as we need to check out early morning
- Alphonsus (9/5): It was a hassle free peaceful and friendly stay - I like the location, the staff and the kitchen too All is fine for the type of hotel
- Salleh (9/5): Superb -
- Khairul_gibs (8/5): Very good -

- timm886 (8/5): Nice place - This is nice hotel with a decent breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Beware, the y offer rooms with and without windows. The WiFi is not bad either. My room was 312. Pictures attached.
- foodinthehoodsg (10/5): A 3-star Hotel that is OUTSTANDING! - I stayed at the hotel for 6D5N and it was brilliant! I stayed there with a few others but the rooms we got are 2-guest bedrooms with 2 single beds. The hotel is actually located in a somewhat empty plot of land however, there are nearby housing, a convenient store and a couple of restaurants. The hotel itself is 5 storeys high (I think), has 2 elevators. and is fully carpeted on the upper floors.
As for the rooms, they are HUGE for a 2-guest bedroom! They also include a working television and a small electric kettle for you to make hot drinks or cook maggie noodles. The bathroom is also very spacious with a translucent glass door. The bed sheets and towels are changed for us everyday and are kept clean - no apparent stains.
The hotel staff are always polite and helpful. They also provide free breakfast which is absolutely tasty especially their fried chocolate bananas! Also, I would always have my toast and jam even when I have eaten like fried rice or noodles, can't miss it.
The deco of the hotel in overall is pretty modern and splendid. The atmosphere is always lively. Not to mention, their Wifi is free and has consistent connection.
- adrian (6/5): substandard - needs to improve - Room was dirty - was not exec standard in anyway
i know hotel wasnt expensive but being clean should be priority.
I only stayed there as it was close to my meeting
- syafriemuhammad (6/5): The hotel is "confused". - Miyana is one of those "bewildered" hotels in Medan city, a hotel which, in my opinion, does not know what to do. Hotels that can not raise the number of their visitors simply because of its location far from anywhere, there is no place of interest around the hotel location. They built a hotel in this location, probably because it was close to the highway entrance, otherwise I do not know. The rooms are not too attractive, the mattresses are too hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast is ordinary. That's all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a good experience. Will book this hotel for next business trip.
- followmonchi (6/5): Average budget hotel - Stayed here for 1 night only and n
bcoz of the location is closed to KIM where I should go in the next day for a work visit.
Room size were enough, bed quite comfy but I can hear cars from the roads next to the hotel.
Breakfast was an okay on taste. Not much selection.
- JoiceChen (8/5): Nice Hotel near KIM area - I stayed in this hotel for one night. Nice hotel, clean bed, good breakfast, and nice service. Though it is a bit far to the central city mostly because of the traffic jam, it is worth to stay here. It is a good choice to stay here when you are on a business trip and have tight schedules. Important: it is near to KIM area and the airport as well.
- sushsf2016 (6/5): Convenient stay near airport - This is a convenient hotel for the airport and they have airport transfer at 200K IDR and early breakfast . However it is far from the main CBD. Around 300m or 10 min walk down the road there are many Chinese restaurants and a mini supermarket. You will need to get Grap car to get around. Be forewarned road conditions here is horrid full of pot holes and traffic manners are non existent.
Free WiFi is good in the room. In any case there are 27 channels on TV. However there is no fridge nor hair dryer and hot water is not strong . Additional bed is flimsy and the mattress actually slipped out of the frame!!
There is free bottled water and tea making facilities in room. Staff are friendly and helpful albeit they don't speak English well.
0verall satisfactory stay.
- Riyadh_Ahadi (6/5): Nothing much to write - I stayed at this hotel only for a night because I had a very early morning on the next day.
The room was not big enough. But they had a free access wifi in the room.
The staff was very helpful and kind.
I got no chance to taste the food.
- ANGGREYANI (8/5): - Lumayan ok!!!
- Stephanie (6/5): Decent hotel for a fair price - Only booked because of proximity to the airport but it was still a 30-45 min taxi ride. Decent hotel for a fair price and breakfast had a good selection. Front desk was unable to help us get to Parapat via a taxi (not sure if it was a language barrier) but they kept pushing us to use their personal drivers. We ended up taking a taxi into Medan and figuring out transportation to Parapat there.
- Mallory (8/5): Very good value for money. Breakfast...very good. - Room did not have a window. Very quiet. Could not have massage due to Ramadan.
- AK69 (8/5): Perfect for an overnight stay coming into Medan late or leaving for the airport - The Miyuna was a perfectly good hotel for us. Comfy beds (two singles), hot shower, toiletries, water bottle provided, good, strong wi-fi, wake-up service and a surprisingly delicious breakfast, with watermelon, pineapple, eggs, many Indonesian stir-fry dishes, rice, toast, cereal, steamed veggies. For me, as a vegetarian, it was simply lovely. The Miyuna is perhaps the closest hotel to the airport, so this works to its advantage. Yes, the rooms are windowless, but it was quiet and the air conditioning worked great. Good stay and I would stay there again.
- Kamto (6/5): good - not too bad
- AussieTraveler75 (8/5): Nothing fancy, but a nice early morning breakfast starting at 5am - Garuda cancelled our flight and thus we did not chose the hotel, but rather were assigned there by a Garuda staff member who couldn’t figure out what else to do with us at 11pm (we still had to pay for the hotel, but at least they got us a booking and a taxi). The taxi took about 30 minutes as described, the hotel is on the side of Medan closest to the new airport. At the time of writing, there are no hotels close to the new airport, maybe a few guesthouses, and we saw some new hotels being built but not open yet. So for a late arrival and early morning rescheduled flight, this was a good choice. The taxi to/from the airport cost more than the hotel, but that would have been true almost anywhere given the airport distance from the city. The price was quite inexpensive and the hotel was as described by other reviewers: windowless, noisy (could hear everything on the corridor even though we were in an end room) and had musty smelling towels. Aside from that, the breakfast was fine, nothing fancy but a good spread and available from 5am as promised. Would say if you aren't in the high end category and not at the far budget end either (with roaches and mosquitoes) this would be a reasonable place to sleep.
- NicolaH555 (6/5): Convenient for an early floght - We flew out of Medan at 6am so needed somewhere convenient to the airport. This was the closest we could find, 30minutes away.
The room was windowless but this was fine for us as we checked in late and were leaving by 3:30am. The beds were comfy and we had toiletries provided and bottles of water.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was good.
Wifi was free and good throughout the hotel, out room was on the 5th floor and it worked fine.
Taxi to the airport cost is 200,000.
- Schneider22 (2/5): The worst hotel I ever stayed - I'm so disappointed.
This hotel's services no good and the staffs' attitude also rude.
Can't even speak proper english.
The room quite small, and smelly.
The aircon broken.
Toilet smelly, the internet so slow.
The breakfast menu so terrible, I can't even look at the dishes.
- Nathan (2/5): WARNING WARNING WARNING!!! - There were 5 in our group, two couples and a single. We booked 2 superior rooms, each with two double beds per room.
Reception? Frozen fish. Only singles provided. First complaint, Ignored. 2nd complaint to Manager, zero comprehension that they can’t charge the price if not providing what’s paid for. Option he came up with, one couple move into room with double bed and provide extra single bed. Single bed ended up being a mattress they chucked on the floor
Leaking aircon dripping onto a bag, soaked clothes. Mosquitos rife through the hotel, including rooms. Medium pitched, loud hum that commenced at 2am and went for 10 minutes a time, literally waking me from my sleep
4 ordered meals, took forever and kid sized. Some meals didn't arrive. Chicken nuggets and chips arrived 90mins. Mozzies everywhere
Bar and kitchen staff totally disorganised and lazy. Manager doing everything menial.
Have NEVER come across a complete schmozzle of a hotel that the Miyana is. Total lack of management structures, lack of training, staff who couldn't care less and it seemed a culture whereby the No1 is the Almighty Rupiah, No2 is the staff in importance with the customer a Very Distant 3rd.
Just don't stay there!
Chris (not Nathan)
- ALBERT (8/5): Istirahat dengan Praktis - kami pilih hotel Miyana sebab dekat dengan lokasi Projek kami.
- JWAFB (6/5): Very average but good for short stay - Stayed here in our way to Bukit Lawang after arriving in Medan late at night. Convenient location for transitting out of Medan as you miss all the early morning traffic in town.
Apart from that there is little to recommend it. Small windowless room. Average breakfast.
Stay here if it's just for the night but for anything longer than that avoid.
- Steven-Nicoletta (2/5): Fails to meet the basic: a good night sleep - Hotel looks beautiful and the rooms are in a very good state. Unfortunately the hotel is infested with Mosquitos. The management doesn't care. No mosquito nets or sprays. Also the food in the restaurant is overpriced and not good. It is nighttime that some proper hotels open in the vicinity of Medan airport.
- Swandogs (6/5): Small, small, small. - Stayed at Miyana because it was close to Kuala Namu airport. We took the superior room, it was tiny, for 500 000 IDR. This size may be acceptable in china, but for a westerner it was the smallest room I had ever been in. It was supposed to have a window with city views, but there was no window. I tried calling reception as I wanted the wifi password, the phone didn't work. So I had to walk down to reception to get something that should have been given to me at check in. One last thing, the breakfast buffet was very limited. All in all very poor value for money in my opinion, but its close to the airport.
- M (6/5): Small Hotel - Too expensive for the size of the room, the room had no window and the hotel had a very limited buffet breakfast.
- Dougy (6/5): Excellent Transit - Perfect for overnighting in Medan, as extremely close to highway (route to/from airport) access. Anyone who has struggled through Medan's inner city congestion will appreciate this comment.
- Irpanbatubara (6/5): Location - This hotel is near by toll booth in Cemara. I visit this hotel for meeting my friend that were in transit on their way for Umroh Pillgrim. The location is really good to those in transit. it's only a minute to the toll way.
- lc tan (6/5): Nice but too far to town - Need to improve for breakfast, lunch , dinner.. Should have more food
Transport too far to town become going out also sky during night time
- GreyMatter_Singapore (8/5): Nice, clean and new hotel near Medan's new international airport - I had the opportunity to stay for two nights at this no-frills hotel during this trip to Medan.
Replacing the old Polonia airport that was located right in the city, the new international Medan Kualanamu airport is quite some distance from Medan, and as the toll road is not 100% ready yet, a journey from town could take a couple of hours.
The Miyana is located nearer to the new airport, and it took me 30 minutes to get here.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. Free wi-fi is provided, and the breakfast selection, while limited, is in my opinion fine for a couple of nights stay.
At the time of this review (31st December 2013) the shop lots next to this 3 month old facility are still vacant, so there's no other place to go for a meal unless you have access to a car.
NOTE: I sent my clothes for laundry in the morning (6 am), and when I got back at 9 pm, I found that my clothes had yet to be returned. I called the reception and they told me that I will only get my clothes back the next day. After I complained that I had a flight at 8 am the next day, my clothes were delivered in 5 minutes. I put this down to growing pains for a newish hotel, but do keep this in mind.
