• Verified traveler (10/5): - We spent 13 nights here over Christmas and the New Year. It is not a hotel as such, but 7 hotel type rooms in a building with a restaurant on the ground floor. The location is fabulous with the superior rooms overlooking Lake Como. It is an easy walk into town or anywhere on the waterfront. The staff were nice at breakfast, and breakfast was quite sufficient. We did not dine in the restaurant but it was well patronized both at lunch and dinner, and the prices looked quite reasonable. Housekeeping was fine but maybe a little bit of attentiom could have been paid to restockimg tea, sugar, and some bathroom supplies. Parking was free but subject to availability so was a bit of a hassle, but parking anywhere in Como is difficult to find. We stayed here 4 years ago and would stay here again.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Simple, pratique et bien situé - Hôtel en plein centre en face d’une des gare pour Milan, 5 min à pied du centre piéton et à 5 min de l’embarcadaire pour prendre le bateau et partir sur le lac. Hôtel propre, petit déjeuner copieux, mini bar libre service en bouteilles d’eau et un ou deux soda. Le lendemain au départ l’hotelier a offert 2 bouteilles d’eau pour la suite de notre périple. Seul petit bémol peut les murs communs au chambre mal insonorisé, mais je recommande ce gite

• Verified traveler (4/5): No podemos recomendar este hotel - A pesar de los esfuerzos del equipo del hotel, la estada no fue buena. La primera noche la habitación para dos adultos y una bebé era muy pequeña, el teléfono no funcionaba y el aire acondicionado casi no funcionaba y cuando lo hacía el ruido era excesivo. La segunda noche nos cambiaron a una habitación más grande y cómoda, lo cual agradecemos. El aire acondicionado funcionó muy bien y de manera silenciosa. Lamentablemente el frigobar inexplicablemente dejó de funcionar toda la noche y los quesos y jamones de Parma que habías comprado y habíamos colocado en ese frigobar se estropearon y tuvimos que botarlos a la basura. El desayuno y el restaurante fue lo mejor de la estada, pero teléfonos, a/a y frigobar que no funcionan bien arruinaron nuestra estada.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Not Bad - Room was pretty stark and the walls are paper thin so if you have loud neighbors or several of them as we did then it can be irritating. Other than that, the room was clean and the location is excellent.

Il faut passer par l'extérieur pour avoir accès au restaurant. on entend tout ce qui se passe dans la chambre voisine et dans le couloir. Température de la chambre elevée et une clim qui ne fonctionne pas. Pas possible d'ouvrir la fenetre car proche de la gare.
• Randolpho a p (4/5): Nao tem elevador - Esse estabelecimento nao poderia ser chamado de hotel. Nao por fazer o check in no bar do restaurante, mas por nao ter um lobby... area de encontro... NEM ELEVADOR TEM .... Imagina que minha sogra de 80 anos tinha de ficar subindo escada... Nao podia nem evitar, pois nao tinha um lugar pra ela ficar a nao ser no restaurante do hotel. Meu quarto tinha ate um tamanho bonzinho mas era suuuuper simples. O banheiro reformado era bom. O cafe da manha era bonzinho, mas a torradeira nao funcionava. Como o pao era dormido... a unica alternativa era o croissant. Podia deixar o carro estacionado nas vagas em frente ao hotel. Eu tive sorte, pois parei na porta. O carro ficou la por 2 dias. Por estar em um lugar movimentado, o quarto era silencioso, nao se escutava barulho da rua. Mas em compensação...se escutava o que os quartos vizinhos falavam ou faziam. O staff era bem atencioso, mas um pouco limitados pelas condições do hotel.

• Alison (8/5): Hotel in fantastic location - Hotel is in a fantastic location, right on Lake Como. Parking is just out the front of the hotel , we found a park , I imagine in Summer it would be much more difficult! Rooms were clean & comfortable enough . Breakfast was nice , plenty of choices. Ate at the restaurant- be warned , there’s a €2.50 cover charge per person ( we have 4 kids , so that’s an extra €15 !!) for nothing, basically- you don’t get any bread & they won’t serve tap water ! Lake Como is stunning , & we could easily walk around from here , so I’d probably stet again , just wouldn’t eat at the restaurant!

• twdc33 (8/5): Good choice. - This is a very nice moderately priced hotel. It is right by the water and located conveniently right across the street from the train station. It is on a bustling corner, but our window blocked out sound nicely. Our view was fantastic as we overlooked the front and right out to the water and mountains. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There was one manager who spoke a little English which helped. I thought the morning breakfast buffet was more than adequate and although nothing fancy, someone seemed to take pride in it based on the presentation. Honestly and sadly, we did not like the coffee. It was like really strong bad coffee. Our next hotel in Moltrasio had MUCH better coffee. This was strong AND good. We visited in late June and the weather was hot. Our AC did not work well at all so it was a bit hot. We did manage to cool things off at night by opening the windows to the lake breeze. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it without hesitation unless you are used to 5 star accommodations.
• James (4/5): Amateur and rude management - Pro: Great location, well serviced, clean, working AC in summer Cons: Management have no idea how to run a hotel. They don't speak English. They called my room (and then my cell phone) repeatedly because they later decided (after my check in) that they did not like my ID cards and wanted alternative forms of ID. Then, after I had checked out, they decided that they "forgot" to get paid from hotels.com, and demanded that I return to Como (after I had already left Italy) in order to pay them. Absolutely unprofessional. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
• Liliana (8/5): - Prenotazione all'ultimo momento per tappa imprevista a Como. Accoglienza cortese , colazione buffet varia e abbondante. Camera e bagno puliti, solo punto negativo lo scarico della doccia quasi completamente otturato. L'ho segnalato alla partenza. I doppi vetri isolano bene la camera, nonostante la posizione vicino alla stazione e all'incrocio di varie strade, non abbiamo sentito rumori.

• Muna (10/5): Excellent location, close to the train and station - After reading a few negative reviews I was worried about staying at this hotel, especially as I was there to celebrate my special birthday ! Well, it turned out to be excellent and I could not complain! Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and although the room wasn't too big, it was spacious enough, with en suit bathroom and toiletries socked daily. It was located in a central area, easy to get to the bus stop, to the funicular, to the bars and restaurants as well as the park. The shopping district was just behind the hotel within a walking distance. The hotel has a restaurant downstairs open to the general public so you will not struggle for food. The staff was so thoughtful that as we checked out, we were offered chilled bottles of water to take with us. I forgot to mention that the mini bar in the room was free, thus was stocked daily with 2 cans of soft drinks abd 2 bottles of water. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

The room was clean although small, friendly staff and location is very good for Como town, bus and rail links. Breakfast was OK with plenty of choice. We would recommend this hotel, however there is no free parking as advertised and limited parking nearby the hotel, if you are lucky and find a parking space it is expensive.

• Michael (8/5): Curious, but good - This is a curious place, being not exactly a hotel but really rooms accessible from a restaurant (where breakfast is served). We used it as a stopover place, going to and coming from, Bellagio on the ferry. For that purpose it was excellent. Although it was right on the junction of busy roads it was quiet in the room. No views from the rooms that I know of, however. Our first room looked out into the railway station. But that was the good thing for us - both the trains and the ferries were easily reached. And the main old town area was similarly accessible. The staff were great and the breakfast was good. It was safe and the wifi worked. Just don't expect all the amenities of a complete hotel.

I did it by following what they say but it did not worked. And reception desk is in the restaurant so it is hard to get there. wifi is also week... It was really bad for traveler.

• Luigi (8/5): Anniversario di matrimonio a Milano e Como - E' stata una vacanza breve ma intensa. Il Relais è accanto alla stazione di Trenord Lago e a meno di 100 metri dall'imbarcadero. Vi è annesso un ottimo ristorante dove si mangia benissimo a costi proporzionati. Al Relais avevo perso il portafoglio e l'ho ritrovato "intatto", segno che si ha a che fare con persone oneste e discrete.

• Verified traveler (4/5): A disappointing place - My husband and I stayed for one night which was enough. The hotel is above a restaurant which is located between a bus station and train station. There is no lobby. You check in at the bar in the restaurant, then go outside, around the corner to an entry into a dimly lit stair hall (no elevator), and walk up to your room. Once there the room has a modern bathroom and was clean, but the room was very small and the furniture was chipped, chairs were plastic...generally low rent. There was no free parking as had been advertised and there were no maps of Como available when requested. The staff at the bar were very helpful, but hardly made up for a very disappointing experience.

• Sue (8/5): Handy Location -double glazed windows - We stayed 2 nights early July 2015. On arrival we were a bit dismayed seeing the bus depot across the road and the train station adjacent - however we needn't have worried. The windows were double glazed and we couldn't hear any outside noise when the window was closed. A charming small hotel , with friendly staff, the room was minimalistic and modern, clean and tidy and it had a lovely modern bathroom with amenities.The breakfast had a large variety of choice and we were asked if we would like a cappuccino in the morning.The lake front was across the road and we enjoyed walking along the lake front path.Whilst we had a lake view it was only a partial view due to trees across the road.Note - no lift. Its a bit of a hike from the train station if you have large bags- a taxi is not expensive so may be worth it for you. We are a middle aged professional couple and we would stay here again
• Verified traveler (10/5): Restaurant with rooms - Not really a hotel but the room was very nice, in an excellent position in the middle of town and on the lake. No noise despite being between the train and bus stations. Free parking was very good to have add finding somewhere to park would be difficult otherwise. This place was made by the staff though who were lovely and offered such a warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
• Tony (6/5): Disappointing - We were put into a smaller room due to a broken pipe in the hotel, but weren't told on check in. They sent an email 3 days before we arrived which we didn't get as we had left home, but that wouldn't have changed the situation. Air conditioning didn't work, and staff couldn't fix. Had to sleep with window open, which meant street noise disturbed us. Originally weren't given controls for TV or A/C - had to ask for them. Clearly the restaurant is more important than the hotel side of the business. Probably better hotels in Como so would look elsewhere next time.

• James (6/5): City of Como and this hotel both disappointing - Room was "clean" but they obviously didn't police their non-smoking policy. It was hot and smokey smelling. Rooms are very small and you can visit with your neighbors through the walls. Neighborhood appeared a bit sketchy to me. On the plus side, that was the best bathroom and shower I had in Italy. The hotel and restaurant staff were very nice and helpful. Bottom-line, I kind of felt like I rented a room at the YMCA.

The staff were very helpful - providing biscuits and drink plus being courteous. The hotel must have been recently renovated. Everything about the room seemed new. A beautifully tiled bathroom and film,comfortable beds. Theroomwa very quiet. The buffet breakfast was extremely generous and gourmet in quality.

Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast is basic but does the job. Would definitely stay again.

Within short walking distance to town center for shopping and touring. Breakfast provided was excellent. Staff for both restaurant (excellent pizza)and hotel were very accommodating. However, you will be quickly set at ease once escorted to your room.
• Crampo (10/5): Faultless - We had a wonderful all to short stay. The restaurant attached to the hotel also was the best experience. Stayed 2 nights and ate there each time. It was so close to everything we needed. The staff were fantastic. Will certainly go back there.

• Deb (6/5): Hotel close to Lake Como - The hotel was difficult to find as it was above a restaurant and wasn't well signposted. The free parking offered for our hire car was in a disused construction site which was approx 300 metres from the hotel (padlocked by a staff member). Our room was up a flight of stairs and not accessible by lift.Rooms on higher floors were accessible from a lift that began on our level. The staff were helpful with taking our luggage to the room. The check in staff member was friendly, but obviously busy multi-tasking, as she asked to hold our passports to complete paperwork. When we returned to collect them 30 minutes later, she still hadn't done the paperwork and took a few minutes to locate our passports which was a bit of a worry. Our room had been refurbished, was air-conditioned, and the window was double-glazed so there was no noise from the street below. The continental breakfast was served in the restaurant below which also catered for lunch and dinner. Lake Como was only 100 metres walk (visible from our room if you put your head out the window!) and the scenic funicular railway (unfortunately closed during our stay) was approx 500 metres walk away along the lake. The hotel is across from the train terminus which goes to Milan. The station for trains to Switzerland was approx 1 kilometre (uphill). There was a local bus stop across the road with buses to this station.
• Goldcoaster (8/5): Great location - Changed rooms as one the had us in had a musty smell in carpet. Roved to lower floor room with floor boards.. Very clean & neat
