• Marina (4/5): - This is a glorified hostel, at best. Lobby is a standing room only 8x8 area. Nowhere to sit, no phone to call the property management. There is a closed door with a doorbell only, which the owner doesn’t answer. I arrived at 4PM, & stood at the check-in desk for 30minutes. Repeatedly rang the doorbell; left a message through the Expedia chat, which he drove me crazy with prior to my arrival; then called the number on the business card at the desk. He finally answered. He spoke to me as though I was an idiot & told me I should have rang the doorbell. When I informed him that I rang it 4 times, he rang it to see if it worked. When it did, he shrugged his shoulders and said it works fine. I informed him it worked fine the 4 times I rang it as well. Also, why didn’t he answer my message I sent? He responded “Maybe I was asleep”. When I asked if he did not know if he was asleep, he said yes, I was asleep. If you stay here, make sure your check-in time aligns with his nap time. There is an elevator, but they do not allow guests to use it. He asked if I needed help with my luggage. I said yes, he replied “Of course, you do”. That is a service listed for their property. The air conditioning is non-existent. The unit just blows ambient air sporadically. You are unable to change any setting on the remote to alter speed of fan or anything. Ceiling fan doesn’t work. I can only imagine how ghastly it would be here in July or August. Stay anywhere else if you can.

Several restaurants in the area and a market for sundries. Metro is an easy 5 minute walk. We loved our stay at Alberto Amalfi Milano.
• Verified traveler (10/5): A fine place to stay - Hotel Amalfi is clean, reasonably priced, very quiet and a great place to stay. It is near a metropolitana station and thus easy to get into the centre. There isn't anything touristy to do in the area but there is an excellent supermarket nearby. I liked it a lot.
• Inga (10/5): - The team of Hotel Amalfi is so friendly and accommodating. My room was perfect - cozy and clean. The area provides everything to fullfill your immediate needs within walking distance. There is several Metro stops, so you'll also get easily everywhere. The accommodation is absolutely coherent with it's description and pictures, plus very polite, kind and I felt so welcome. Grazie! I had a great stay!

Walking distance to 3 different stops on the Red line, very convenient for both getting to the Fiero Milano and to the Duomo and all the exciting attractions in the center city. The neighborhood is very quiet, a lovely residential neighborhood with families, young couples and seniors. Several very nice restaurants in walking distance. The room was very comfortable and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Thank you!

Sometimes he's very rude and unapologetic but sometimes he's very friendly and helpful, which confuses me because of the inconsistency. I think it's an issue of culture difference, but prepare to be shocked, especially if it's your first time in Italy. I didn't see this in any other country.

• Emilio (6/5): - The hotel is very clean. No refrigerator in the room The hotel is very basic: just to sleep. Rooms are very clean and the cleaning lady is accurate and tidy. Very small hotel with no elevator: one or two ramps of stairs to go up to the rooms. Best thing: cleanliness. Worst: poor quality breakfast that offers very little and of poor quality. Recommend to stay clear of the breakfast room and visit nearby cafes that offer good quality and cheaper prices. Please note it is required that you leave the hotel absolutely 11 am on your last day. A clean peaceful hotel if you only need your room to sleep

• Frans (8/5): - The hotel is very very small, there's just one very friendly guy running the place. The room has all it needs. A few points that I thought were less good: I found the walking distance to the metro longer than I had expected. There's only an elevator for luggage, so prepare for taking the stairs. And for breakfast you can choose between different options, the staff prepare it for you, but it's not very much if you're a big eater like I am. Still, I liked the hotel.

Por motivos alheios a nossa vontade, só chegamos após as 21hs, tivemos que buscar uma alternativa para passarmos a noite. O recepcionista não é muito simpático, mas nada que comprometa.

• Saranne (10/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient. - We stayed here for 3 nights. This is the cleanest hotel you can imagine, truly. Our host was helpful with getting the luggage up to our third floor. There is no elevator for guests. There is a tiny service elevator for luggage. The neighborhood is really good. It is in a residential area. There is a Such in grocery just 4 blocks away. Easy access to the #16 team that goes directly to the cathedral. The subway ( Wagner stop) is just by the little restaurants and grocery store. The hotel offers no breakfast, so be ready to enjoy a small cafe for breakfast.

La struttura in zona molto bella e vicina alle nostre necessità merita la speciale tariffa accordata. Consigliata e da ricordare per future visite a Milano.

Ampia libertà di movimento dentro/fuori dall'hotel anche se il servizio di reception è attivo dalle 08.00 alle 20.00 (con numero di reperibilità notturna). Dotato di ascensore. Costo in linea con le stelle che ha e per quello che offre.

O hotel atendeu às expectativas e foi boa a experiência. O que poderia ter sido melhor foi quanto à recepção. O homem que me atendeu não foi solicito, parecia estar trabalhando forçadamente, e não ajudou quando pedi para guardar as malas por algumas horas depois do checkout. Mesmo o hotel sendo bem simples, um sorriso e boa vontade faz muita diferença.

• sofia (8/5): Excelente relación calidad precio y ubicación - Todo muy bien, la única desventaja (pero ya sabíamos) es que no tiene ascensor, estabamos en un cuarto piso. La habitación era triple, justa, siendo ordenado se está bien. Suficiente para dormir y bañarse. El desayuno muy completo, hasta frutas. Nuestra estadía fue excelente.
• Patrick GEUS (8/5): Well located in milano. confortable. - I was worried about the 8 p.m. deadline. I rung Guido from NZ. I tried my best italian and he spoke English so that helped. He said send me copies of your passaporte and if u arrive after 8 a.m. I can tell u the code and where to find your keys when u ring mr. So it was problem solved. I arrived at 6.p.m. so all was fine and he was friendly and efficient. SO We were happy. Patrick GEUS
• Jonas (8/5): Nöjt par i strax över 20! :) - Vi var väldigt nöjda med vår vistelse på hotellet i våra ögon gångavstånd till centrum ca 20 min. Men om man ville kunde man ta metro in istället som låg nära, <5 min gång. Rummet var rent och uppfyllde våra förväntningar (spendera bara nätterna i rummet resten ute). Enda som kan påpekas var att det kunde ta ett tag innan varmvattnet i duschen hitta rätt ledning, men det kom alltid tillslut.
• luca (10/5): Albergo comodo e grazioso - Ho soggiornato per due notti nell'hotel e ho trovato la camera pulitissima. Lo staff è a disposizione per tutto e la posizione dello stabile è ottimale. Anche se non posizionato in centro, dispone comunque di una fermata della linea principale della metro a pochi metri di distanza.

• Toni (2/5): give it a big miss - did not enjoy this hotel at all check in was smooth enough but there were no tea and coffee making facilities and he wouldn't even let us use a kettle (I'd bought everything else) The elevator is unavailable after 8pm as is any kind of service from management. we disliked it so much that we tried to find another motel I would never use this hotel again

• Bryan (10/5): A real find - Spotless, comfortable room in a small, family-run hotel. My dealings with the owner and his son were splendid. There's nobody around between 8pm and 8am, but a code on the door means this isn't a problem after check-in day. Breakfast is, shall we say, basic by UK standards, but it's as good as anywhere else. The metro is 5 minutes away and the neighbourhood is quiet. I loved this place, and thought it amazing value.

We feel it would be wise for the manager to state on check-in that he would prefer the air conditioning to not be used below certain temperatures - his manner in addressing his problem with this could have been friendlier.

• Bridget (8/5): Nice, clean hotel - Staff was pretty quiet, but helpful. Rooms and building were clean and spacious. Hotel is on a quiet street near the metro station, but also only a 20 min walk or so downtown.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Hotel Amalfi Milano - Great rooms. This hotel is one star but that doesnt do it justice. I would recommnd this hotel.
