- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dangerous. Police busted out the hotel room next door to extracate a dangerous giest. We woke at 3am to tje police shattering the window and got yelled at ny police. People stomping up and down the landing and stairs for an hour. Stay away!

- Mary (2/5): Worst hotel ever been to - My family and I attempted a Christmas vacation three night stay, they gave us the wrong room it didn't have the amenities as promised like a microwave there was a used flosser in the bathtub dirty towels were rolled up for use, and the floors were dirty we didn't stay we drove straight home and we are still trying to get our refund back but the manager is never in and she will not approve our refund it's been a couple days now we'll see stay clear of this spot it is pretty ghetto, I didn't think that there was a ghetto hotel in Carlsbad well this is the one.

Had 2 very flat pillows. Im a gold member and they charged me extra to check in 1 hour early. Im extremely upset with my stay at this hotel. Parking lot was full and busy with weary folks standing around. Only thing positive was close to shops. I will bever choose this location again.

That acknowledgement is great customer service! They are working diligently to get to me next. Even when I misplaced/lost temporarily 2 door key cards different times last night. I was frantic about going to do my laundry. They were all nice about it. I found both key cards today between my car's driver door and the driver seat and promptly returned them to the front desk. Thanks for each of you having the patience & for being you!

The comforter has a cigarette burn and the overall look was a stretch for an Inn. If you need a place to crash after drinking it will work.
- Deborah (6/5): CBad Village Inn is great location - It is a great value for the location, if you want to be in Carlsbad Village for a night or two and are ok with "motel 6 type motel" this is it for you. There is a little transient feeling here tho, watch your stuff, keep valuables not in room etc. They do have some weird rules that makes you think it's a hostel, a $200 deposit that gets refunded the day you check out...

- Vincent (2/5): - The room was completely dirty with actual sand/dirt on the floor. The floor was stained the walls needed painted. The windows were old and leaked the heater/air conditioner did not work. The beds were completely uncomfortable. There was a stain on the sheet. The mattresses were in plastic bags. I’m guessing to prevent bedbugs.. The tub was dirty and cracked as I took a shower. Two spiders crawled out of the drain. There was constant loud, talk, partying people in and out the doors, people arriving and leaving all night long there was a fight between a group of girls in the parking lot. There was a homeless guy that slept under my window and I was constantly getting knocked on the door from people looking for John. I had booked a two night stay and decided to leave after one night. I was told that I could not be given a refund. I had to contact Expedia. I contacted Expedia, who then said they were unable to reach the property owner because they would not answer the phone. As a note every room whether paid for by a debit card or a credit card requires a $100 deposit that they prefer in cash and you cannot get the deposit back until the next day after they inspect the room. In other words, if you give them a $100 deposit and you check out at 11, you are going to be hanging out until they inspect the room. The housekeeper gives the OK and then the manager will give you your money back.

It had everything he wanted, including easy parking and it was walkable to about a hundred restaurants and bars in Carlsbad, California. Charles Rahim reccomends visiting the beachside town of Carlsbad in California.

Moved to different room was better condition until the next evening the bathroom ceiling fan started leaking bad and wet my belongings. Moved to another room when i was done noticed ants on the bed, table everywhere moved again bed was terrble and flat. Back still isn't the same.

When you first walk in it smelled like cigarettes….this is supposed to be a non smoking property. I’m just glad I always travel with a candle just incase. The bathroom had ants. I didn’t notice at first, but after I showered they were all over. The toilet would run every 2 hours, and it was loud. I had to sleep with the tv on to drown out the water noise. The bed was surprisingly comfortable.

At least the toilet was clean. $100 deposit for it to be refunded in '3-7 business days' when the room is still dirty is ridiculous. Unfortunately, no other hotels under $400 were nearby; I considered sleeping in my car. Awful place. Check-in ladies were at least nice.

The property is not the cleanest, but for $60 a night, it's not terrible. The walls are thin & you can hear the goings-on of neighbors. So if you're looking for a good night of peace & quiet, this place isn't for you. It's great if you're just in the area & need a place to crash for a night or two. It's a basic Motel 6, nothing flashy about it, so don't expect much.

The first room we were given had not been cleaned and the second room, the keys didn't work (keys stopped working twice). The room was clean, but a little small and the ice machine was out. The staff was very nice when we had an issue, just was not fun having to walk back to the office so many times. I would come back.

Every time someone uses the stairs or closes the door, everything shakes.

The square footage is an hundred more than most rooms on the property; this made a hudge differance. It would be great if there was a pool or hot tub here; however, the ocean is only a 10 minute walk, and the sunsets were amazing. We will definitely be back. - Adelina (6/5): - For the price, it was very basic. I needed an inexpensive, pet friendly room while work was being done on my home. It was clean and the staff were very polite and friendly. However, there was no fridge and no microwave, despite my belief that their site said that was a property amentity. One bath towel, one hand towel and one wash cloth made me feel like they were a bit stingy on the linens. The biggest problem was ANTS. I discovered them when they invaded the remains of my fast food dinner on the table and they were in the shower. I could live with BASIC, but NOT bugs.

- Christopher (8/5): - The location is great near Carlsbad village. There were a few homless people around but they didn't cause any problems. The hotel is clean and it was good for a couple of nights. The price was on point for what you get. Cant expect first class service, free breakfast, and a bunch of amenities when you stay at the lowest price place in the area.

- Trinidad (2/5): Disappointed - There were fruit flies in my room even though I had no fruit. I also killed a few roaches that came out from under the black box bed frame. Needles to say I won’t be staying in the future.

- Albert Ferdinand (6/5): - This is my second time here but this second time was not as good as the first one, the bed hard , smaller than size of the bunk, too many fruit flies, and people smoke a lot on the hallway and by the door even though no smoking sign , the previous room I had the first time was better. Staff are helpful, night staff lady is helpful and kind, thanks.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Dirty nasty never ever put your health in danger - Never ever stay here. Whom ever does good reviews must be blind, under the influence of something. This place is so dirty. Room influence of ants, spiders, roaches, they refused to give us arefund because we sat on 1 bed. Even the beds were full of ants. When i went to the office they couldn't even give us bug spray. They told us there's nothing they can do. Was told us we'd get refunds then the next day told no. This place needs to be blown up/burned down & rebuild. Need people whom care about customers & customer service not care about how many people they can rob off there money & health. The pics they show are a lie. This is an old motel 6, just changed the of it & sold over half the land . Very small parking lot. Not big enough for all the rooms to have cars let along more then 1. Very sad. Location is walkable. Sad when you have to use an epi pen from being bit inside of your room. Manager is rude as all. Hung up on me because i told her they rob people & i was giving nothing but bad reviews about this location . Read the reviews beefier you stay here. Wish i would of. Never ever again. Robbers.
