The staff were all friendly, helpful and provided us with some great suggestions with what to do and where to eat. Nothing not to like.

kevinkI7647ZZ (10/5): A great lodging experience in Franz Josef - An excellent accommodation choice in Franz Josef managed by a friendly helpful team. The rooms are large, quiet and comfortable. We stayed in a one bedroom unit; in addition to the full-size (maybe queen) bed we had a twin bed in the main living area that would be ideal for a kid. Unit includes full kitchen with a Nespresso machine and fresh milk in the refrigerator. Aspen Court includes two washers and two dryers — very clean and inexpensive. If you like to send postcards, you can buy them at the nearby Visitor Center (and support NZ’s Dept of Conservation) and get stamps and mail your postcards at the town’s petrol station. One suggestion: having a lamp or two in the main living area would be a great addition. The ceiling light is a bit bright; we’d prefer softer lighting options. But overall Aspen Court was a great experience close to the FJ Glacier and other services. Highly recommended.

We were so pleased when we were able to check into our room. Thank you to the owners!!! Immaculately clean, lovely decor, a big king bed and single, great wifi and a working spa. A very short drive to a local supermarket and eating options close as well. I was so pleased with my choice - I would definitely stay here again if I were to be in Franz Josef. I highly recommend this property.

Quality of teas, coffees, etc., were excellent. Location was perfect and walking distance to everything in town. Landscaping gave the feeling that we were secluded. Greeting at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. I would stay here again. Nothing negative.

Rita (7/5): Overall a comfortable stay. - The property had basic things like tea, coffee and milk with clean linen. The bathroom only has a curtain, as a result all the water splashes outside and can be quite slippery. Also, the rules and regulations are quite rigid especially about having cooking odours in the room if you intended to cook. It said you would have to pay additional charges which I thought was strange.

Such a convenient situation in Franz Joseph near bars, restaurants attractions and a supermarket. No real views out of the windows which of course can't be helped. denby1234 (10/5): Great Hotel in a great town. - Fantastic stay. Check-in was so simple and easy. Very friendly. We love our room. So spacious and has everything anyone would need. Very quick walk to the restaurants and store. For the first night we walked to the grocery store and just bought snacks to eat so we can sit in the room and wind down from the drive. Definitely would stay again!

We rated Aspen Court one of our top 2 best accommodation during our stay! Comfy and clean and perfectly sized for my family of 3. Room is equipped with the right amenities! Free parking which is right outside our room.

Mark (9/5): A quiet comfortable motel. - This is a comfortable motel just on the edge of the main part of town. It's quiet but it's at most 5 minutes walk to everything in town. The kitchenette facilities are good for basic meals when you don't want to eat out.

Conveniently located and thoughtfully equipped. - We were nervous about staying in a ‘motel’ - so were hugely surprised and happy with the excellent standard of accommodation which was very spacious and in great condition (relatively new) The bed clearly had a high quality mattress and the spa bath was an unexpected bonus! If we could rate this accommodation higher we would. Absolutely nothing!

pavankQ7860EG (10/5): Fantastic stay at Aspen - Aspen court was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Franz Josef is such a very picturesque place and Aspen is a warm and a cozy place. Laundry helped us a lot. As vegetarians and vegans, we purchased a few groceries at the local four square and cooked our evening meal. There are limited vegan and vegetarian options in Franz Josef.
